Ohhhhhh, Nightmare hurt all over! His attack had sent him crashing face-first into the pavement again as he rebounded, and he burst into a fresh batch of tears. He hurt! He hurt everywhere! He didn't even know what he was doing! All he remembered was a gentle, kind warmth and then a sudden fall and he'd been out in the open where it was bright and kept hurting him! Suddenly, there were warm arms around him, scooping him up into his Trainer's arms, where she leaned down and began wiping away his tears. " Oh, come here, love," she cooed, holding him close. " That was very brave what you did there, fighting against Santa's minion like that." She knew that the Chatot had been going for her little Eevee, but well, she hadn't wanted to hurt the poor little baby, so it was okay that she took a Peck to the arm. It was only a little wound anyway, and it'd heal. Soothing little Nightmare was more important. Although... with his ears brushing about on her face, it was only a matter of time until she- " Achoooo!" she sneezed again, creating another bright plume of Ember around them. Nightmare perked up at the attention he was being given. He was safe and warm and his Trainer was so proud of him. Even better, she'd called him brave! He wanted to be brave for her again! Steeling himself, he squirmed out of her arms - once the flames had died down though, they had scared him, though the Eevee down at Terra's feet didn't seem too surprised by it and had avoided the attack calmly - and sprang forward again in another Tackle. He'd prove himself a brave Eevee, even if it hurt him. He was brave. For his Trainer. He'd be brave for Terra, no matter what. OOC: Nightmare is adorable. That is all. Team-

WILD CHATOT APPEARED! [/style] Chatot || Female || Keen Eye || Normal/Flying || Level 3 Peck For the second time that day, a bright ball of flames engulfed a very shocked bird, only this one got the whole blast at nearly point blank thanks to Terra’s new position after blocking her Peck attacks. She barely even had time to widen her eyes in surprise before the accidental Ember swallowed her up, and the air was once more filled with the smell of well-burnt feathers. It was hard to tell who had it worse: the Murkrow, who had to suffer the indignity of lying there helpless in the trash after facing a similar attack, or the Chatot, who was knocked out instantly by the raging flames. For there was no doubt that once the fire cleared and the dual-type dropped limply to the ground that she was down for the count, her once multicolored plumage now dull from the places it had been scorched. In the end, it looked like she was the one who was going to learn a very important lesson, rather than her young foe: never mess with an adorable, darling Eevee in front of his loving and overprotective trainer. Especially if said trainer can breathe - excuse me, sneeze - fire as well as any naturally-born fire-type Pokémon.
Needless to say Nightmare’s follow-up Tackle was hardly necessary, but damn if the sight of the little creature courageously attacking the unconscious parrot wasn’t one of the cutest things ever!
WILD CHATOT FAINTED! IT CAN NOW BE CAUGHT! NIGHTMARE GAINED ONE LEVEL FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE BATTLE! NIGHTMARE IS NOW LEVEL THREE!
WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Simple || Normal || Level 3 Tackle Ah, now this is an indubitably glorious day for a jaunty stroll! The normal-type sighed in contentment as he padded down the street, oblivious to the strange looks and taunting smirks he garnered from the occasional passerby, who were no doubt laughing it up about such a dull, brainless specimen of a Pokémon strutting around like he owned the city. Well, by all means, let them stare! He would not wilt under their judging glares for he was a Bidoof and proud, and he was not about to let anything they said or did ruin his wonderful day! Not when it was so absolutely perfect; the flowers were blooming, the sun was shining....
The birds were burning.
The Bidoof came to a screeching halt as a - pardon the pun - foul odor pricked at his nose, out of place with the otherwise pristine conditions of the day. It was positively repulsive, whatever it was, reeking of burnt garbage as well as something else. Curious to find out where the unfitting smell was coming from, the chubby rodent turned the corner and found himself face to face with the answer: a Chatot lay in the street, its charred feathers indicating that it had recently been ablaze, while a tiny tot of an Eevee attacked its limp body. Now, he did not consider himself a nosy sort of chap at all, but while the sight was somewhat comical at first, he decided that he should inform the boy that his struggle with the fainted bird was unneeded. He passed a quick nod to the young lady - the Eevee’s trainer, most likely - just to be polite before trotting up to the Eevee’s side. “Bidoof, bi doof do.” Young man, I believe it’s quite unconscious already. He remarked, staring at the fainted creature before them and wondering what in the name of the Legendaries could have roasted her so soundly. Was there something more to this youngster than met the eye, perhaps some secret moves? But while human trainers often bolstered their companions’ abilities with their technical machines, the Bidoof was sure that he had never heard of an Eevee breathing fire...yes, it would be wise to tread carefully around this one.

Terra's face fell when she saw the Chatot's roasted corpse. She really hadn't meant to do that. She needed to just stop sneezing. Either that or get a sign that told Pokemon to stop coming so close to her. Covering her nose with a single hand, she darted to the Pokemon's side. " I'm sorry," she whispered, her free hand reaching towards the bird before she drew it back before even touching a single sorry feather. " I didn't mean to..." Whimpering, she dug about in her pocket for a spare Pokeball, expanding it and then gently touching it to the bird's beak. The least she could do was try to make it up to the poor Pokemon. Nighmare's paws scuffed the ground at the Bidoof's words, ears wilting. " Ee Eevee," he muttered, ears down. ' I was just trying to help my Trainer...' He sniffled quietly, looking downright miserable. He had only been trying to help. Sparks looked up to glare at the Bidoof darkly. He was making his baby brother sad. Eyes glinting darkly, Sparks gathered himself up and darted forward in a vicious Tackle attack. He was the only one allowed to make Nightmare cry! OOC: ... The idea of Sparks being Nightmare's daddy's a little creepy for me... they'll all just be siblings instead. Team-

WILD CHATOT APPEARED! [/style] Chatot || Female || Keen Eye || Normal/Flying || Level 3 Peck For all of Terra’s fretting, the Chatot was far from dead. Sure, she would need a good bath and some time for the feathers on her body and wings that had burnt beyond hope to fall out so that new ones could grow back in their place, but she was still very much alive despite her still state. Every now and then a small breath lifted her chest, and when the trainer pressed the Pokéball to her beak for capture, surely she could feel the slight breeze the flying-type’s breathing created.
With a flash of light that was a tad briefer and less flashy than usual thanks to the direct touch, the Chatot was pulled into the sphere, which closed behind her once its task was completed and the little bird safely housed until Terra could make a trip to a Pokémon center to have her injuries seen to along with the rest of her new captures. A scorched Murkrow, a brain-damaged Spinda, a timid Kecleon, and now a crispy Chatot; not a bad day’s haul, and day was still far from over!
WILD CHATOT WAS CAPTURED!
WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Simple || Normal || Level 3 Tackle As the Bidoof watched the younger normal-type’s ears droop he felt a profound sense of shame and he could not help but shuffle his feet sheepishly at the grave error he committed. He had never meant to make the boy feel so down at all! It was hardly becoming of a gentleman to scurry about upsetting small children in such a way. He absolutely had to amend this misunderstanding as soon as possible, his honor as a Pokémon depended on it. “Bid bid doof, doof, Bidoof bi-” I’m sorry lad, really, you’re doing-
Before he could finish reassuring the child that he was surely doing well in helping his trainer a sharp strike to his side knocked the wind from him and roughly tossed him through the air, his rotund body bouncing along the sidewalk once or twice before it finally came to a halt splayed out on his back. For a moment he lay there, trying to remember which way was up and wondering what struck him as he flailed his legs in the air above him helplessly before he finally managed to roll over and struggle to his feet. With one beady eye bruised from the fall and already swelling shut, he had to squint with the other to get a good look at the one who’d rudely interrupted him to see a slightly larger, far crosser version of the Eevee he’d just been talking to! Dear Arceus, the fellow looked absolutely furious! The Bidoof wilted slightly in the face of such a threatening individual, but he shook it off quickly, reminding himself that he must be composed in the face of any danger. “Bidoof doof, bid bid oof!” Now I don’t like fighting, but if that is what you desire you shall have it! He declared, lowering his head to charge right back at the fluffy creature with a Tackle of his own, mindful of the other Eevee with him as hitting the poor youngster would certainly do nothing to amend his earlier mistake. Of course, neither would attacking his big brother, but he had suffered a blow to his dignity and the other was surely in no mood to back down now.

Terra breathed a little sigh of relief when she felt the breath against her hand. " You're gonna be okay..." she whispered softly, a smile on her face as she held the Pokeball close to her chest. She'd be glad to help out the poor Pokemon as soon as she could. She really was sorry for roasting the poor thing... wait, why was she sorry again? This was one of Santa's evil minions. She shouldn't feel sorry for her! She should be taking her to find out all her secrets that she's keeping for Santa! A little frown marred her face. Sparks, on the other side of the area, growled softly, still furious. He didn't want to hear any of this stupidity. He was here to fight, and he was here to protect his Trainer. If Nightmare started crying, then Terra would start crying, and he could not let that happen. Watching the Bidoof coming at him in a fierce attack, he stood his ground, ready to take it and respond in kind with his own. Instead, he blinked as another little brown and beige blur Tackled threw himself at the Bidoof in his own attack to try to push the charging Pokemon away from his older brother. Well, Sparks was going to repay the favor in kind. " Ee eevee!" he cried, proudly, chin held high. ' For Lightning!' he cried, running forward in his own Tackle attack. If Nightmare's attack missed, the two normal types would end up colliding in a rather painful manner. He hoped the boy didn't miss... he'd rather not have to deal with a headache for the rest of the day... not when Terra would likely only make things worse with her screaming and crying too. OOC: ... Short crappy sick post is short and crappy. Team-

WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Simple || Normal || Level 3 Tackle The Bidoof’s eyes widened in surprise as yet another strong Tackle sent him flying once more, interrupting his charge with an equally fierce blow that knocked him off his feet once more. While Nightmare’s attack was undoubtedly a bit lighter and softer than the elder Eevee’s thanks to their level difference it was no less effective in delivering a swift knockout to the enemy normal-type as his head cracked sharply against the ground when he landed. Thankfully, although a small stain of red immediately began to spread from where his head smacked against the sun-warmed cement, the creature seemed only dazed as opposed to completely dead as he rolled over weakly and tried to stand one more only to slip and fall flat back down immediately.
Oh, the rodent fought valiantly to stay conscious to be sure - if only to complement the victors in the battle for their superb use of tag-team tactics against him - but it was to no avail as the thoughts inside his head grew fuzzier and fuzzier with each passing second due to the trauma. In the end, he could stutter out was a quick abbreviation of his name: just a wild Pokémon call with no deeper meaning. Then his control of his body slipped and the brown-furred creature went still, his awareness of the world around vanishing as if someone had suddenly flipped a switch in his mind. If there was one spot of luck in this it was that the younger Eevee’s tackle had pushed his body out of the path of his senior’s charge, sparing him from having to endure another, harsher beating even after fainting.
WILD BIDOOF FAINTED! IT CAN NOW BE CAUGHT! SPARKS AND NIGHTMARE GAINED ONE LEVEL EACH FOR WINNING! SPARKS IS NOW LEVEL 6! NIGHTMARE IS NOW LEVEL 4!
WILD DRIFLOON APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Drifloon || Female || Flare Boost || Ghost/Flying || Level 6 Constrict || Minimize || Astonish For a ghost-type, wandering around during the bright daylight hours was surely a strange sight but the Drifloon floating softly in the mild breeze couldn’t help herself. She was naturally inclined to seek out children, and children were typically seen in these parts running about during the day so that was when she would venture out from her shadowy haunts to search for them, although she was not having much luck finding any today. They probably were all busy with something inside, watching TV and playing video games. Or whatever it was human children did when they were not having fun and enjoying the day like they should. The pale-colored balloon sighed to herself, glancing down at her swinging string-arms, the tiny blue hand-like appendages at the end empty. Though folktales said that any child who played with a Drifloon and took them by the hand would go missing, either spirited away to another world or devoured, in reality she was just very lonely. Adults never paid much attention to wild Pokémon unless they were trainers looking for battles, and she really disliked attacking others despite her ghost half. How could she? As a being born from the combined spirits of deceased humans and Pokémon she felt for and desired contact with both of species. If only kids would approach her to play with her! If only people were not afraid of silly old ghost stories!
After a few minutes of aimless, wind-forced ambling a flash of crimson caught her attention and the Drifloon looked up to see a girl not far off, along with two small, fluffy Pokémon. The dual-type’s heart soared at that, glad to finally see a human child out and about, even if this trainer was a little bit older than those she would usually try to play with. Still, there was a bright and youthful air around her, and perhaps if she did not want to play, then maybe one of her Eevees would? Eevees enjoyed chasing strings, right?
With a gleeful glint in her tiny eyes, the yellow ghost floated up to the girl, swinging her arms playfully as she giggled out a greeting while inwardly praying to whatever Legendaries might hear her that she wouldn’t run away screaming like so many before her. “Drifloooon!” Hello there!

Terra blinked when she felt a sudden warmth collide with her leg, looking down to see Sparks sitting there on his butt with a confused expression on his face. She chuckled, reaching down to pet the little guy gently with a hand. The older Eevee gave her an unreadable expression but allowed his Trainer to ruffle his ears the way she always liked to. She blinked at the sight of the horribly wounded Bidoof before digging about for a Pokeball from her pocket, tossing it towards the fainted Pokemon. " Pokeball, go!" she cried, smiling at the thought of helping out another friend. She then blinked in surprise when she saw the Drifloon pop up in front of her. " Hello there!" she cried, smiling. " Aren't you just a friendly one?" At her feet, Sparks was pacing about, wary for any more attacks against his beloved - though he would never admit it - Trainer, while Nightmare's eyes widened comically at the sight of the waving string-arms of the Pokemon before he scampered forward, stumbling adorably over his paws, and latched onto one of the strings, nibbling on it curiously. Terra giggled at the sight. " Nightmare, stop that, she probably doesn't like it!" The Eevee just continued his actions, growling playfully as he tugged on the strings. " I'm really sorry about this," she stated sheepishly, rubbing her head. " He's still a baby, he doesn't know any better." She then blinked as an idea came to her. " I know! Why don't you come with me, and I'll make it up to you!" OOC: Sick post is crappy and short. Friendly capture of the Shiny Drifloon, the Tackles wouldn't work anyway. And no, Nightmare's not using a Bite attack, he's just nibbling playfully, wondering what the strings are. Team- Sparks ~ Nightmare ~ Chatot (fainted) ~ Kecleon ~ Spinda (fainted) [/blockquote]

WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Simple || Normal || Level 3 Tackle Perhaps because of Terra’s surprise at the Drifloon’s sudden appearance, this time the Pokéball missed the Bidoof completely, dropping to the ground a few feet shy of the normal-type’s unconscious body. For a moment it looked like the energetic trainer might have to retry the capture - but wait! - there was a sudden breeze picking up just in time to save the day as it rolled the dichromatic sphere toward the fallen creature. It bumped into his body gently, right on the center button, but the contact was apparently enough to trigger it and the ball opened just enough to send out a small stream of red light at the normal-type, turning his brown to bright red as it converted him into light and drew him into the waiting container.
The ball closed as quietly and calmly as it opened, a quiet display worthy of a gentleman even if the Bidoof had only been kidding himself in thinking that he was one. Only the slight click of the lock denoted that it was complete, and the ball wiggled now once in protest, although another auspicious gust of wind sent it spinning back toward its thrower.
WILD BIDOOF WAS CAUGHT!
[/b] [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify] WILD DRIFLOON APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Drifloon || Female || Flare Boost || Ghost/Flying || Level 6 Constrict || Minimize || Astonish The shiny giggled as the younger Eevee approached, her dot-like eyes crinkling happily at the adorable sight. Oh, this one was just precious! Even when he started to gnaw lightly on her string-like arms she found it hard to think of him as anything but a playful little tot and as the nomming didn’t hurt at all, she knew that he meant no real harm. Ghostly laughter bubbled up from her again as she gently swung her arms a bit, glad to have finally found a playmate who was not going to run away from her. As she teased the little one, a breeze picked up, and she was glad that she had him there to hold her down steadily so that she was not swept away by it again. That would just be sad after she’d met such nice people!
Or, well, two of them anyway; the older Eevee at his trainer’s side seemed wary of her but the girl was happy to chat with her and the Drifloon bobbed up and down in midair at her, happily acknowledging the Flareon gijinka’s greeting. “Drifloon drif!” I like to think that I am! She giggled, returning the girl’s friendly smile the best she could with her somewhat expression-challenged face. “Loon loon, Drifloon dri.” And it’s okay, I really like kids. The phantom added as she reached up to pet the soft fur on Nightmare’s head with her free arm. It might seem odd that she was communicating so easily with the human girl, but then again, she has always been fairly adept at understanding their speech. Perhaps it was due to residual memories from the humans that made up part of her spirit, or it might just be that she had spent a lot of time watching and listening to the fleshy pink creatures from afar and picked up on a few things. It really did not matter to her so long as it made communicating her thoughts less of a hassle, but she secretly hoped that it was more the former than the latter. After all, she liked to think that she was living for both halves of her soul, not just the Pokémon side.
Just when she found herself hoping that this momentary bliss would not have to end when the trio inevitable moved on or the Eevee let go and let her drift away on the breeze, the cheerful young lady suggested that she could go with them...so the human could make it up to her? Well, that last part was a tad silly as there was honestly nothing for the girl to make amends for, but she was all for leaving with this little band. “Drif loon dri!” I’d be glad to! She laughed out after a moment, lifting her free hand from Nightmare’s head to offer it to the girl in a gesture of acceptance and friendship. That was why humans shook hands, right? Or maybe she was thinking of something else.

Sparks glared as he trotted over a little ways to grab up the Pokeball with the Bidoof in it. He picked it up in his mouth, trotting back over to his Trainer and slipping it back into her pocket. He didn't really understand why she would catch Pokemon like this, they were stupid anyway, but apparently she liked it. Since his little brother was busy being stupid and his Trainer just as much so, he was gonna go explore a little. Trotting ahead, his tail swishing behind him, he decided to see what he could hunt up. Meanwhile, Nightmare let out a little muffled cry of delight, clamping his jaws down as he was swung about. Still, he loosened up at the touch of a little hand to his head, still playfully tugging. Terra giggled, smiling at the Drifloon that had chosen to play with them. She really liked this Drifloon. Something told her the Ghost-Type would be an excellent ally against Santa. She could likely scare the evil man away, right into Terra's hands so she could bring justice to him. Mwahahaha! Grinning happily, she took the offered hand the Pokemon offered. " All right then, with me it is!" she chirped, pulling out a Pokeball and expanding it, making sure that the Drifloon could get at it. She wouldn't force this change on her. She'd let her come to it on her own terms. OOC: All right, feeling a deal better now. It's also okay to throw something at Sparks randomly. WILD DRIFLOON APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Drifloon || Female || Flare Boost || Ghost/Flying || Level 6 Constrict || Minimize || Astonish The Drifloon hummed excitedly as she reached out for the expanded Pokéball the Flareon gijinka offered to her - only to stop before she could stop just a handspan away from the button in the center, remembering that the little Eevee was still gently nomming on her hand. If she went into the ball without dislodging him first, he might fall a little and bump his head or something. She wouldn’t want that! Carefully, she focused on making her hand more immaterial and lowered the puffball slightly so he wouldn’t jolt from losing his grip on her hand before she pulled the string-like appendage through his grip, using her ghostly ability to ignore non-elemental objects. She still felt a bit bad for letting him go, but it was only temporary, right? With the same had she’d just taken back, she reached over and gave Nightmare one more affectionate pet between the ears before tapping the Pokéball with her other.
As always, an accompanying light flashed as the wind-blown phantom disappeared, and as she had nothing holding her back from going along with Terra the ball only gave one quick shake as it closed before stilling in her grip. To all appearances it was a good, clean capture, but wait! Why was the whole Pokéball glowing white now? Indeed, the moment the red light in the center faded away, the whole sphere seemed to explode in brilliant white light before speedily vanishing from the trainer’s grip. In the blink of an eye, the ball was gone, and the Pokémon inside with it! Was this some fresh scheme of Santa’s to plunder the hard-caught Pokémon from good little trainers like Terra? Of course not. It was merely making its way to the Pokémon storage system for later retrieval, but who knew what the Santa-paranoid young lady would think when her new “ally” in the fight against the jolly old elf suddenly disappeared in such a manner?
DRIFLOON WAS CAUGHT! DRIFLOON WAS SENT TO THE BOX!
[/center] [/size][/blockquote][/blockquote][/justify] WILD MEOWTH APPEARED! [/style] Meowth || Male || Technician || Normal || Level 5 Scratch || Growl A pair of sharp, envious eyes watched Sparks as he strutted away from the rest of his group, no doubt confident in his ability to stay safe even without them around. The shadowed figure licked its lips hungrily as it tracked the Eevee’s progress down the street from behind the cover of a few low shrubs, just waiting for the other normal-type to get close enough for him to strike. His target: the shining sphere in his mouth. It did not matter to the thief that it was just a common, everyday Pokéball with nothing but a silly Bidoof inside. What mattered was that it was perfectly round and shone wonderfully in the sunlight. Yes, he knew that he wanted that Pokéball the moment he laid eyes on it, and the feline thief knew that he would do whatever it took to procure the object of his desires.
Once the Eevee was close enough to his hiding place, the Mewoth literally leaped into action, springing over the bushes and toward the unsuspecting Eevee with a hiss, extending his claws so that he could lash out at the fox-like Pokémon’s face with a Scratch attack. If he was lucky, the attack would both sting his eyes and cause the brown-furred creature to drop the ball, leaving him with the prize and creating a perfect opportunity for the clever bandit to make his perfect getaway.

Nightmare didn't really notice when he was lowered so his paws touched the ground, but he did notice when suddenly there wasn't anything in his mouth anymore. He blinked in confusion, looking about for the fun new friend, but when he couldn't find her, tears began to well up in his eyes. He thought he'd found a friend! But now his friend hated him and he'd never see her again! Tears streamed out of his little eyes and he let out a little wail. Terra, however, was ignorant of Nightmare's little world ending, instead gleeful that she had a new friend, and one that was so pretty too! She smiled at the Pokeball before blinking at the white light in confusion. Wait... what had just happened? ... THIS WAS OBVIOUSLY THE WORK OF SANTA! HE HAD TAKEN HER NEW FRIEND BECAUSE SHE KNEW SOMETHING OF HIS EVIL PLANS! " Don't worry, Drifloon, I'll save you!" she yelled at the sky, fist coming up to punch the clouds before she blinked. Just how was she going to do that? Face falling, she stood there for a long moment, trying to figure this out. Sparks was strutting past the bushes, Pokeball in his mouth when it happened. There was suddenly a hiss through the air, and he wheeled to see a Pokemon springing out at him with razor sharp claws aimed for his face. Growling low in his throat, he gathered himself up and sprung forward in a Tackle attack, fully intending on using his own momentum to more or less avoid the full brunt of the other attack, hopefully directing it onto his back if it even landed on him at all, and then as soon as his paws touched the pavement again, he wheeled about in another swift Tackle intended to settle, once and for all, that he was the protector of his Trainer... even if he thought her his curse for pissing off some deity in another life. OOC: ... Terra is now broken. Oh well, she's funny broken. And she was never whole in the first place I just picture her standing there with a "system failure" on her face... her brain is now shutting down. WILD MEOWTH APPEARED! [/style] Meowth || Male || Technician || Normal || Level 5 Scratch || Growl The Meowth hissed again as he tried to wiggle out of the way, realizing too late his miscalculation; the Eevee was not caught off-guard at all, and at this rate the brown-furred fox was going to hit him instead of the other way around. Still, even for an acrobatic feline himself, there was no way for him to change directions in the middle of a jump enough to avoid Sparks’s Tackle, and the blow caught him fast and quick, his own momentum aiding his foe and allowing the other to score a critical hit on him. The little cream-coated cat yowled in intense pain from the collision and tried to slice at the Eevee with his claws before he went soaring away, but there was no time. His lightweight body went flying, leaving the half-conscious normal-type completely open to the Eevee’s followup attack.
Sparks struck again, and he struck true, sending the Meowth rocketing through the air even further. The feline hit the ground with a harsh thud, bounced back up a few times before his twitching body finally stayed earthbound, skidding to a stop and leaving clumps of pale ripped-out fur in his wake. Perhaps luckily for the critter, he was already knocked out before his head cracked rather harshly against the ground.

WILD SKITTY APPEARED! [/style] Skitty || Female || Normalize || Normal || Level 2 Fake Out || Growl || Tail Whip || Tackle Look left. Look right. Make sure the coast is clear, that Mama isn’t stalking up behind you to pluck you up and take you back home. Run accross the street once it's safe - then FREEDOM!
“Strategies” ran through the tiny Skitty’s head at a mile a minute as she belly-crawled up to the road not far from where her Delcatty mother and freshly-hatched brother lived, already endeavoring to escape home and venture out on her own despite being only a few days old. Why should she have to wait until she was grown-up to see what was out there in this big ol’ world? Bah, her clingy little brother could stay there forever if he wanted, but not her! She was a big, brave, stealthy Skitty, and she was going on big kid adventures all on her own! And lo, there was the curb, the last line of no return that warned children like her to turn back now, for here there be monsters. Oh, she’d seen them from a distance before: big, roaring beasts of metal that thundered by, leaving dense clouds of smog in their wake. Her Mama called them Cars and their evolved forms, Trucks, but the Skitty thought that those were silly names for monstrous steel-and-poison types. One rushed past right as she was about to cross and it nearly blew her away with the wind it generated, and the pink-furred kitten had to hunker down and grip the sidewalk cracks with her tiny claws to keep from tumbling into the street. But she still needed to cross it! Right. This was the part where she had to look again. Once glance down the street and one glance up it revealed that there were no more giant monsters coming through and she purred in delight before wiggling her little tush in the air and leaping into the street.
Once her delicate paws hit the dark pavement she was off like a shot, dashing over the cracked ground like it were hot coals. Would she make it in time? Or would she be squished flatter than a Stunfisk trampled by a herd of Tauros? It a life-or-death situation, and if she didn’t run as fast as her legs could carry her, then it was surely only going to end in tragedy! Completely oblivious to how silly she looked running for the other side like there was a hungry Houndour snapping at her heels, she made the final jump to safety. Yes! Victory! The Skitty giggled and purred as she lay on the sidewalk, her legs sprawled out around her on the warm cement. That was fun! Oh, if only there had been a Car charging by right after she’d made her death-defying jump...that would’ve made it absolutely purr-fect.
But wait! What was that? The sound of sobs, perhaps caused by a Pokémon in distress? The Skitty’s ears perked up at the noise, and sure enough when she turned her head in its direction, she saw an Eevee wailing beside a catatonic-looking human that must be his trainer. Oh no! Had some emotion-draining fiend left her a hollow shell of her former self? Was he mourning her loss, helpless to do anything to bring her back to normal? ...probably not, but hey, it was a good excuse to play hero!
With the rapid changing of attention that only a child could achieve, the Skitty relinquished her old identity as the brave young adventurer leaving home in search of glory and became the Fluff of Justice! Never mind that her coat was by no means as fluffy as her civilian in distress. She hopped to her feet, gave her paw a lick and her face a quick wash to look presentable and hero-y, and then took off toward the Eevee, trying her best to appear concerned and heroic despite the fact that she was actually weaker than the blubbering little creature. “Skitty, ski Skitty ski?” Ah-hem, what seems to be the problem here citizen? She asked the teary-eyed child, puffing her yellow-furred chest out in what she thought was an authoritative manner. It mostly failed, but at least she tried her best. No one could say this kitten did anything half-heartedly without being called a liar.

Sparks chuckled when the Meowth fainted, tail swishing proudly behind him. He had successfully avoided the attacks and even managed to faint the Meowth that had been trying to blind him. Chest puffing up with pride, he sauntered over to Terra, ignoring her distant stare to instead change the Pokeball in his mouth for a new one. This time he trotted back to the fainted Meowth and pressed the button on the ball to its forehead, fully intending to handle this for his Trainer. Wait a minute... if he was catching Pokemon... didn't that make him a Trainer too? His tail twitched gleefully at the thought. Yes, it did! He would take this Meowth and he would train it to conquer the world! Anything was possible now that the tables had turned on the filthy humans! Nightmare was sniffling and crying, so alone in the world, when suddenly he heard a soft voice from behind him. Wheeling about, he saw a little Skitty standing there, looking all brave and heroic. More tears welled up in his eyes as he nodded blindly, springing forward to try to sob into the little kitten's chest. His friend was gone! He was abandoned! There was nothing left for him to live for! OOC: I love that Skitty. So much. I also love Trainer!Sparks. He's funny. Though it makes me wonder if ALL of my Pokemon are going to think they rule the world or something. Team- Sparks ~ Nightmare ~ Chatot (fainted) ~ Bidoof (fainted) ~ Spinda (fainted) [/blockquote]

WILD MEOWTH APPEARED! [/style] Meowth || Male || Technician || Normal || Level 5 Scratch || Growl Shiver...shiver...shake...ping! A light note marked the birth of Trainer Sparks, Eevee and future (literal) Pokémon Master!
WILD MEOWTH WAS CAUGHT!
WILD SKITTY APPEARED! [/style] Skitty || Female || Normalize || Normal || Level 2 Fake Out || Growl || Tail Whip || Tackle A squeak of surprise nearly escaped the Skitty as the Eevee buried his sopping wet face in her fur, the younger - but only by a little! - Pokémon crying about for some reason she didn’t understand. Oh. Okay, um, she’d just asked him what was wrong. Geeze, didn’t he know how to play a good Helpless Citizen? The least he could do was tell her what was wrong! This slobbering and blubbering was not going to him or his braindead looking trainer a bit. Not to mention it was really gross and he was starting to get her awesomely clean fur soaked as well with his tears. Ugh. This guy was turning out to be just as much of a gutless crybaby as her own little brother was, and the feline was quickly deciding that she did not appreciate that kind of attitude at all. If you had a problem and couldn’t fix it on your own then you should tell someone else so they could help!
She tried to remember that the other normal-type was just a victim, that it wasn’t his fault that he was in so much distress, but his inability to get across just what she could do to put a stop to his tears was really getting on her nerves. That’s when it hit her that she made a downright terrible superhero. That put a damper on the pink kitten’s spirits - she wanted more than anything else to be cool and amazing like one of them, but it just wasn’t working out! A disappointed huff escaped the catlike creature as she decided was all that Eevee’s fault for being such a terrible civilian in the first place -
Wait. Wait one minute. That gave her an stupendous idea!
It was so completely obvious that the Skitty wondered how she had ever overlooked it in the first place: if she failed at being a hero so much, she should go ahead and become a villain! Everyone knew that villains were cooler anyway and people liked them way better than lame-o heroes. Geeze, what had she been thinking, trying to save the day when it would be so much more fun to tease this kid - er, do evil. Besides, villains didn’t get used as fluffy tissues.
A smirk tugged at the Skitty’s mouth as she abruptly lashed out at the clinging Nightmare with a Fake Out attack, shoving the younger normal-type away roughly before letting loose an “evil” cackle. “Skit! Skitty skit ski!” Hah! I can’t believe you bought my heroic act! She chuckled darkly, quickly sliding into full-on Dark Empress Fluff mode as she followed up the flinching attack with a Tackle, hoping that this would shock the crybaby out of his uselessness or wake his trainer from her stupor.

Nightmare buried his face in the fluffy pink fur, sniffling. He was beginning to calm down now, soothed by the gentle nature and calm, reassuring warmth of the Pokemon he was snuggling. Sniffling softly, trying to stop the tears, he looked up at Pokemon with an adorable face, wanting to befriend it, when suddenly she attacked him without warning, sending him skittering back, flinching. He looked up at the Skitty with hurt, betrayed eyes. How could she do this to him? He had only wanted to be loved! Sauntering back to his Trainer with a confident smirk on his little face, Sparks was going to put away his Pokeball in Terra's pocket and go grab more when he froze, eyes wide at the sight of his little brother getting hit. Anger brindled inside of him. How dare that upstart hurt his baby brother! Before he was even aware of it, he was running forward as fast as his legs could carry him, throwing his full weight and strength into a Tackle to protect his baby brother. OOC: Dark Empress Fluff mode. That is all. Team- Sparks ~ Nightmare ~ Chatot (fainted) ~ Bidoof (fainted) ~ Spinda (fainted) ~ Meowth (fainted) [/blockquote]
