Terra was very very very very hopelessly lost. She didn't know where she was now or where she was going either. All she knew was that she was here and that was what mattered... right? But... where was here? Was this all some elaborate plot of Santa's to get her lost and hurt? She had gotten lost in the mist a good while ago, and she couldn't find Nightmare or Sparks - though she thought the former was simply hiding in his Pokeball and the latter playing some elaborate prank on her - anywhere. "Guyssssss, come outttttttt, I can protect you from Santa!" Whimpering softly when she didn't hear an answer from her Pokemon, she shivered. She didn't like this fog creeping over her legs, and she certainly didn't like the little twin pair of red lights Santa had summoned to lead her away from her friends! She bit her lip, one hand coming up to press between the little bumps on her chest, her fingers curled up with the nails brushing against the heel of her palm. Ever since it started getting dark out, not scary dark even though the tree leaves covered a lot of the pretty purple sky, things had started getting scary. When she heard a creepy sound behind her, she lost it, screaming loudly as she turned and ran the other way, terrified Santa - or in this case, a mischievous Duskull - was going to scoop her up and take her to the North Pole and force her to wrap presents until she got a papercut! The horror, the horror! OOC: ... Short post for a starting post, but less pressure on Cori (hopefully) and it's funny... I think. Team-

We're together in a spot of sunlight meant for only one
Waking up in strange places was no odd occurance for Mitsuki - sure, most days he was back in his room at the shop but it seemed that he was nearly as likely to find that he had passed out somewhere near Lake Antebellum, curled up peacefully in a pile of leaves, or old buildings he had never seen before much less would have been able to find on his own. Once, he had even come to his senses suddenly one morning in an alleyway, blood matting his hair from a nasty cut on his forehead he couldn’t remember receiving. It was always disorienting, seeing an unfamiliar sky above him when he rolled over and opened his eyes, and unlike so many denizens of the city he was positive that no alcohol was involved in these frequent blackouts of his. In fact, that was just about the only certainty he had regarding the condition that had plagued him for at least the last two years, which was about as far back as his unaffected memories stretched; a symptom his boss and self-proclaimed grandmotherly guardian theorized was related his memory loss. Even so, he still panicked for a moment when he opened his bright green eyes - falsely so, though he was not aware of the fact or the crimson irises that lurked beneath the colored contacts despite the gummy feeling they left with him - and saw absolutely nothing around him. Thick white mist twined above his head, creeping through the half-seen limbs of the deadened trees above and reducing anything that was more than a few feet past his face into ghostly shadows. With his heart thudding away in his chest, the boy sat bolt upright, frantically brushing some glass and dried leaves from his mussed blonde locks while he glanced around in search of something, anything that might tell him where he was now.
Just as before, the only sight that met his eyes was a seemingly impenetrable wall of white fog, its damp touch drawing lines of goosebumps across the exposed flesh of his shoulders. He shivered, rubbing his arms as he stood to ward off the eerie feeling seeping into his bones before retrieving one of his four Pokéballs from his pouch. One trembling toss and a flash of light later and the comfortingly familiar chocolate-brown form of his Buneary appeared before him. Honoka curled her ears for a moment at the sight of him before letting them unwind with a pleased squeal. The teenager smiled as she bounced up to him, chattering in her own tongue about who-knew-what but clearly happy to see him. When she clung to his leg, he reached down and ruffled her soft fur with a chuckle, feeling a little braver already. “So, do you know where are?” He asked her, not really expecting an answer, although a trill of disappointment did shoot through him when the normal-type shook her head “no” in response. Sighing, he turned his attention back to the forest around him, wondering which way down the “path” he was by would lead him back to civilization. “I guess we’ll just have to figure this out on our own then.” He muttered, resigning himself what was no doubt going to be a long trek through the woods as he scooped up the backpack that had been left near his resting spot and returned it to his back, happy to note that his multicolored Pokémon egg was still safe inside.
He was about to set off down the path that was, from his perspective, to the right when a scream split the air, causing the boy to jump and utter an embarrassing gasp of his own while his eyes went wide with fear. W-what the heck was that? He thought with a whimper as a dark spot appeared through the mist: a dark spot that turned into a red-haired human girl as it dashed through the fog, nearly bowling into a wide-eyed Mitsuki before the teen hopped out of the way with a “Woah!” in order to protect his egg. Terra ran through the trees with wide eyes. She was scared she was scared she was scared! This place was dark and creepy and it smelled like death! Tripping over a tree root, she let out a loud scream, her hands coming forward to break her fall and stop her from having to eat yucky wet, dead leaves. Scrambling up to her feet again in terror, having no idea how fast Santa could run but figuring he could probably move pretty fat for a chubby old guy since he managed to deliver presents to all the boys and girls and Pokemon and daddies and mommies and everyone else in the world in one night. Squealing when something silky brushed over her leg, she shot off again like a rocket, refusing to be made into an elf minion. They were trapped forever, man. Trapped forever! "I don't wanna wrap presents!" she wailed, scampering faster and faster, ignoring the brushes against her face and the fingers snagging at her hair and clothes. She wasn't gonna let the little demon elves take her! She wasn't! They ate little children for breakfast! Screaming and wailing, she ran out and nearly ran right into a little blond-haired boy. She squealed when she tripped over another root, sprawling on the ground in front of him before blinking dumbly. Elves would not attack someone when they were with someone else! Immediately, the Flareon Gijinka shot up off the ground to attach herself to the boy's arm, hugging it close to her and bawling. "Please don't make me leave I don't wanna be taken by Santa and have to be an elf and make toys and wrap things and get a papercut and be evil!" she wailed in a stream of nonsense, burying her face in his shoulder. As if to place a final topping on her strangeness, an Eevee came bounding out of the mist in the direction she had come from, the little Pokemon sitting down beside the Buneary with a self-satisfied smirk on his face. There really was nothing quite like a good laugh at Terra's expense... OOC: Originally Terra's wail was in a full nonspaced version... but it stretched the boards awkwardly, so I spaced it out. And at this rate, I may need to have her get talked out of the Santa delusion. As funny as it is, she's starting to get a little scary about it. >.> Team-
