The impact with the cold, hard ground elicited a groan from Alexi and a sharp, worried whinny from his Pokemon, a feisty young Ponyta with a blue mane and tail. "I'm all right, Remus," he muttered softly, reaching up to lightly stroke over the Ponyta's muzzle with a hand before quickly drawing it back to his side, almost unaware that he left a few spots of blood on the Pokemon's pale fur. "I'll be okay." The Ponyta snorted softly, giving him a look that obviously said he didn't agree with his Trainer. The Zebstrika Gijinka was littered with wounds from his fight with that Epispect girl. It wasn't as if it had been his choice to fight her. Instead, she had gone after him, and while he had proven victorious, that win had not come without a cost. The back of his right thigh throbbed at even the suggestion of movement - giving him a limp he was sure he'd be getting snickers at for - while his torso under his jacket was covered in scratches and bruises. His arms were starting to color a little too, a couple more scratches trailing blood down them, and his left wrist not only hurt to move it, but he was fairly certain that hand was throbbing against the cloth he'd wrapped around his knuckles earlier. In short, he was a bloody, wounded mess, and now his Pokemon were worried about him. Octavian and his Larvesta had run off earlier in search of help, but obviously they hadn't come back yet, and with him having fallen off Remus, he didn't really think he'd be climbing back onto the Ponyta's back any time soon. OOC: High muse day today for Alexi, apparently. I don't know what it is with him here... he's probably gonna get his ass handed to him too. ._______. Team-

Mainly because the most recent time he'd been there, he'd gotten simply far too cocky on the topic of any of his feats and achievements, and had promptly been rewarded with a cracked rib and a black eye. It wasn't really something he'd wanted to repeat, albeit his severe adrenaline junkie tendencies, and so had kept a wide berth from the hidden base, only returning when he had to sleep or report to his boss. He turned on the branch that he currently inhabited, gazing at the wide circle of the moon, head slightly tilted so to better catch it's rays - as a Gijinka that was more inclined to plant life, he enjoyed even the smallest sliver of light in the darkness he could find. Pulling the woolen blazer closer to his almost feminine figure, he sighed, head cradled softly against the circlet of leaves which had served as a pillow or head rest. How he longed to actually belong somewhere- the male frowned, from nowhere, an almost melancholy mood had struck him.
His eyelids were heavy... a little too heavy for the male to simply pass off the opportunity for a nap - albeit a short one; he didn't want trouble with the guardian Gijinka who had twice mistaken him for a girl and more than thrice thought he was an epispect spy. He really didn't need another hand down his shirt or a slap on the rump. Much less the wondering why one of the gate Gijinka was suddenly behaving in such a subdued manner. He closed his eyes, allowing himself to bask in the silvery rays that carressed his skin. How mysterious light was - the way that rays could twist and bend like strings, and yet the human eyes percieved them to be straight. He reached out to the moon, eyes still closed, imagining that the moon was a tangible item hovering a little above his head - he took hold of air, moonlight bursting between the fingers of his clenched fist. The hand lowered, his eyes opening, and he gazed at the open white gloved palm. Empty - but wasn't that what life was now? Chasing a dream with such fervour, only to be consumed by emptiness, never achieving the dream.
He idly ran a finger around the buttons of his jacket, tracing the rough wood grain with the inset golden chips - not really gold for the obvious reasons; a garment such as this would be immediately taken from him with barely a second thought. He rolled to his side, into midair, hurtling pleasantly to the ground. He couldn't deny the morbid thought that slipped through his mind - what would it be like to simply let himself drop? To sprawl to the floor in a bloody heap. The male shook his head lightly; even whilst hurtling through the air he still attempted to retain the decorum and composure his Serperior side valued so highly. And it was what kept him together, truthfully. He made contact with the soft touch of a bush, this breaking his fall with a surprisingly gentle carress, considering he'd hurtled a good 11 feet to the ground. The male righted himself after a moment's lounging in the greenery, exiting the bush and appearing in a slightly more dishevelled manner on the other side, plucking stray twigs and foliage from his hair. How perfectly elegant. He hadn't really noticed the boy with the ponyta until he had almost walked into him, and pulled back a little, nose wrinkling in distaste at the sight. "May I assist you?"[/style] |

Alexander's eyes began to flutter shut. He'd taken a real beating, and it was severe enough to make his body try to shut down to heal itself a little. Remus whinnied softly, a single black hoof pawing at the ground in worry, tearing through the dirt easily in the Pokemon's agitation. Alexi had always gotten up before when he'd fallen to the ground, so why couldn't he manage it now? He snorted heavily, knowing that no matter how much they may belittle and begrudge him for it, at least someone in Team Rocket would help his Trainer. They'd be able to bandage him up and get him back up onto Remus' back so he could keep running. Letting out a frustrated noise when the Zebstrika Gijinka wouldn't open his eyes, the Ponyta tossed his head and danced, fixing his gaze worriedly in the direction Octavian and the Larvesta had gone off to. If they couldn't find someone, Alexi could very well bleed out here and no one would know. No one would care except for them. Movement at the other end had him crying out a challenge, planting his four hooves firmly on the ground in an aggressive, protective stance in front of Alexi. As soon as he saw what it was, though, he calmed down and let them close to the boy. That would help. Alexi groaned softly at the nudge to his forearm, it taking a massive force of will to even crack his eyes open to meet the gaze of what had nudged him, and when his mind comprehended what he was staring at, a little blink of surprise took over his features. His Larvesta had come back to him, and with a few rolls of bandages. Even after all the neglect he'd put the little Pokemon through - nothing horribly cruel, but it was obvious that he hadn't been as fond of the Bug-Type as he was his other two Pokemon, if only since he would completely ignore the Larvesta for the most part and only give it attention to dole out orders - the Bug-Type had come back without his Deerling and bearing bandages for him to try to patch himself up. Touched by the gesture, he leaned down to stroke a hand along the Pokemon's back. "Even after all I've done to you, you still come back to take care of me," he whispered quietly in awe, and the little Larvesta nodded. "Thank you... Bugsy." The Pokemon's eyes widened at his new name, and he actually seemed somewhat happy with it. He was finally getting the attention and affection of his Trainer that he had been viciously denied prior to this moment. This... this was a wonderful thing. He let out a little surprised cry when Alexi's eyes slipped shut again and his hand fell slack. Even after all that, were his efforts going to be in vain? Remus couldn't even help them... the blue-flamed Ponyta was too busy neighing out a challenge to the man who had just walked up. Neither of them wanted anyone to try to take advantage of their Trainer in his current state. Alexi couldn't even open his eyes at the commotion; he was too busy with trying to keep himself from losing consciousness. Because if he let himself pass out now... he had a gut feeling he wouldn't wake up ever again. OOC: ... Really long post will likely not be this long again. DX Team-
