His traveling led him closer to Aether City, for reasons unknown. Maybe it was on a mission for Team Rocket, or it was probably just because he could. Maybe he was testing himself, to see how close he could get to Aether City to test his skills as a runaway illegal Gijinka, and see how far he could get away with it.
Now his traveling had led him to quite the unsightly Jungle. It was smelly, and even more disgusting to his canine senses-heightened nose. "Damn, this stinks!" He growled, crouching to duck under a low swinging branch covered with some green substance he'd rather not touch.
"At this rate, my hair's gonna get dirty too! Damn, was there another way through? I should'a gone a different way." Shin'ichi muttered, running his hands over his silky hair, which he had kept rather well groomed, clean and shiny. "Damn..." He growled again, but still continued on into the deep dark Jungle.

WILD TIMBURR APPEARED! [/style] Timburr || Female || Sheer Force || Fighting || Level 5 || Pound || Leer || Focus Energy ||'Jungle' really was a misleading term wasn't it. Timburr expected to find a forest, when she'd set off in search of the place, asking directions along the way. She'd expected to find a place that she could gather all the wood she'd ever need for any project she ever dreamed. She'd expected paradise. Instead she got... ugh. Slime. And noxious fumes that made her eyes burn, and a funny smell in the air that just wouldn't go away, and she feared, would stick with her even after she was long gone. Definitely not paradise. << Burrrrrrrr... >>
However, it wasn't her way to give up when on the job, so, after a moment spent bracing herself, Timburr began to pick her way through the so-called Jungle, turning over bit of wood she found. None of it came from an actual tree of course. Most of it looked to have rotted right off the sides buildings, to her great irritation. Really. Humans had no business building things if this what was came of it. That belief was what had led her to the 'Jungle' in the first place. She was going to show them the right way to do it, and if they didn't listen, she'd beat them about the head with her own personal club until it sank in.
Timburr's nose wrinkled in sudden distaste, at both the smell an unfortunate wind carried her way and her own realization. If she didn't find something useful in that mess, she just might end up really having to use her own timber. << Timburrr! >> She needed to work fast! But wait... Her head cocked to the side. Had she just heard something?
Timburr gripped her wood tightly in both hands and lifted it in preparation.

Shin'ichi paused to cough. The fumes were already excruciating enough. The smell was so terrible that he had even begun holding a handkerchief over his nose and mouth in an attempt to breath with less suffering. A few more steps later, he tripped on a long root covered by some green slimy web-like stuff, and to his horror, was forced to use his hands to keep himself from getting a face full of slime. But now the stuff was all over his hands and legs!! Shin'ichi held up his hands, staring at them in disgust. "Ugh...you've GOT to be kidding me!!" He groaned. He managed to wipe most of the goo off on the bark of a long dead tree, but his hands still felt sticky.
How far does this disgusting forest go on!? he wondered in his mind. But he was brought to attention, hearing the sounds of some other living creature nearby. It was a surprise. He wouldn't have expected to see anyone else dare to come out to a place like this. He wasn't going to dare to use his nose to find the other person or pokemon here in the Jungle, so he used his sense of hearing, and began to walk in the direction he had last heard the noises.

WILD TIMBURR APPEARED! [/style] Timburr || Female || Sheer Force || Fighting || Level 5 || Pound || Leer || Focus Energy ||While she did have her timber clutched and raised like a club, it didn't sound like whatever was out there, hidden in the smog, was going to put up any sort of fight. The coughing made her wince in sympathy for whoever owned that throat. A human? Timburr's head tilted the other way, and she lowered her limb to lean on as if it were a cane while she thought and listened. He didn't sound any happier than she was with what she'd found there.
<< Timburrrrrr... >> She sighed softly, a rubbed at her face and eyes at the sound of the poor human stumbling his way around the 'Jungle'. Well she was a helpful sort of Pokemon wasn't she. She couldn't just leave him by himself, stomping all over the place. She had work to do here after all! A few seconds spent helping him out of the way wouldn't hurt anything- and she was somewhat curious as to what he was even doing there.
Maybe he was a builder?
That thought stirred her interest even further, and with a tight smile- closed mouthed so she didn't breathe in any more smog than she absolutely had to- the Fighting-type hefted her timber again and bounded off toward the sounds the human made as he 'walked'. Her own Pokemon senses told her that he had begun heading her way, so when she got within what she assumed might be line of sight if not for the foul-smelling fog, she slowed, and piped questioningly ahead of her, << Timburr!?! >>

His attempt at a deliberate walk, which was more like an awkward stumble as he dodged slime-covered branches from all directions, led him onward until he thought he saw a small, humanoid shape standing up ahead carrying a piece of wood. The word that the pokemon said then answered all identifying questions. This was a young timburr who was probably wondering why a human would ever come to a place as disgusting as this. Shin'ichi brought his sleeve over his face and took a breath of rancid air, then walked closer to the Timburr so that he could see it clearer in the fog. "Looks like we both didn't intend to be hanging around a place like this. Come on, let's go find a real forest." Shin'ichi beckoned, shrugging. If it weren't for the horrid stench, his own irritation would have put him in the mood to go beat up any other pokemon he came across, but now he would much rather just get out of this place as soon as possible, and then he might be able to think about battling.

WILD TIMBURR APPEARED! [/style] Timburr || Female || Sheer Force || Fighting || Level 5 Pound || Leer || Focus EnergyTimburr had been expecting a human of course - from the get-go it had obviously been a human who was making so much noise stomping around - but still, the sight of the black-haired man gave her pause. "Burr?" she questioned quietly, tapping her club against her leg as she thought. He looked pretty powerful for a human, but then again, she hadn't really exposed to them. Of course, there was a certain air of ridiculousness to him with part of his arm pressed to his face like that, but given that he seemed to be bearing this Arceus-forsaken stench better than she was, perhaps there was some logic behind it. Her wood paused, however, when he spoke, the little Fighting-type taking a moment to consider it. She had come here to get some work done, but if he knew the way to a proper forest with some decent wood, it probably wouldn't be such a bad idea to follow him, at least for now. "Burr timburr," she murmured, nodding as she hefted up her timber and waited for him to make the first move so that she could follow him out of this foul-smelling fog.
All right, I'll be taking this thread over from Al. I can keep rolling mon here when you take care of the Timburr or you can end it and start somewhere else. I don't really care. *shrugs* This post has been brought to you by the awesomeness of writing after a test, the Kindle's ability to receive foreign PDFs, and Cori's kindness in emailing the previous posts to me so that I could get to it!

"Since I don't speak Pokemon, even though I've Mightyena power in me, I can't tell which way you're wanting to go, but I'm leaving this place either way." Hataro shrugged, and began to make his careful way out of this foul place, still holding his sleeve to his face in an attempt to block out most of the rancid smell. He stepped over a slimy log, then offered to lift the Timburr up over the log, or not if the Timburr wasn't comfortable with that. Then as he walked under a tall slime-covered tree, he ducked out of the way, just in time, of a glob of slime falling from the branches above. His sharp dog-like senses had gotten him the ability to react so quickly, but that still didn't change the fact at all that he would so like to be out of this disgusting forest as soon as possible. He began to let his pace become a bit more confident as he got better used to ducking, dodging, and stepping over mysterious smelly piles of pokemon feces, as well as helping Timburr along if the pokemon was alright with that. In all reality, it was quite odd that Hataro was being such a "nice" person, but to give the proud Gijinka a break, he couldn't care less as long as he was still traversing the smelly forest. After what seemed like a long journey, Hataro and the wild Timburr, that is, if it was still following him by now, could tell that they were nearing the edge of the smelly forest, for the trees thinned out, the undergrowth was much less, and some sunlight could actually shine through an open treetop. The smell was more bearable, but Hataro wondered if his nose had been damaged in any way.

WILD TIMBURR APPEARED! [/style] Timburr || Female || Sheer Force || Fighting || Level 5 Pound || Leer || Focus EnergyTimburr's log tapped against her leg as she walked, and she made a bit of a face, hefting it higher, though she resisted the urge to wheeze and cough from the fumes that had made their way into her body from the facial expression she had made. She had to pause for a moment to try to recover herself before she managed to get control of herself again, her eyes watering as she hurried after the human. She bit her lip when she came up to the log covered in oozing slime, already lowering her own timber to the ground so that she could vault over it without having to touch it, though she found herself instead staring at the hand offered to her dumbly. He was... offering to help her? How kind of him. She nodded and took his hand, using his assistance to manage to scramble over the log, her timber digging into the ground from her weight as she leaned on it like a cane before she pulled it forth from the ground, tapping it against her leg to dislodge the loam that she had gotten on it. "Burr, timburr," she murmured softly in thanks, trotting after him and finding herself unable to contain a squeal of disgust when a drop of sludge fell onto her body from a tree. Eww... That was nasty. She shuddered, already running through the map in her head to try to remember where it was that there was a clean water source for her to wash the slime off. Ugh, she didn't know where the closest one was. Fun. Looks like she'd have to hope the human knew where one was. She tapped her log against her leg again, following after him, and when she happened to glance around to either side, she was surprised to see that there wasn't as much sludge everywhere. The trees here were much nicer, and there was sunlight filtering down from openings in the canopy. Her eyes widened and she already began cataloging trees as good timber or bad timber, but she shook her head. She was going with the human right now. She couldn't afford to get distracted, not now, especially since she still needed him to take her to some water to wash herself off from the dirty part of the forest. Yuck. She really did hate the slime and muck that pervaded some parts of this place... ruining all that good timber should be a crime!
