LET THE WHOLE THING BLOW
B A S I C I N F O
★ NAME: Taylor Kendricks
★ NICKNAME: None
★ MEMBER GROUP: Epispect
★ POKEMON: Gallade
★ STATUS Legal
★ AGE: 22
★ HEIGHT: 5'6"
★ WEIGHT: 126 lbs
★ FACE CLAIM: Kio Kaidou from Loveless
★ APPEARANCE:
As far as appearances go, the phrase "looks can be decieving" probably hasn't applied nearly as much to anyone as it quite has Taylor Kendricks. Taylor has a pretty slender body, fond of long-sleeved shirts and long jeans, a pair of dark shoes or boots and a slender chain of silver metal dog tags snaking their way under that shirt. A pair of glasses speaks of failing eyesight that has been maintained somewhat off-handedly and the usual accompaniment of a lollipop advocates an insatiable sweet-tooth. When things take a turn for the chillier, a short sleeve shirt is thrown over top or a turtleneck takes the place of the shirts, the most form-fitting of the clothes someone will ever see on that slender body. A plethora of piercings cover both ears, the majority of them just simple rings, though a couple are actually studs. All in all, not a very intimidating or remarkable figure at all. But underneath that disguise lurks some very important truths: Taylor is a fairly powerful Gijinka who would think little of using a few attacks to leave you hurt and pinned down, a hunter for Epispect who has quite a personal vendetta against Team Rocket, and actually happens to be a woman.
That's right. Underneath those shirts is a motley of scars along her chest and belly from an apartment fire she was caught in when she was twenty-two, and then, after unwinding the tight circles of pristine white bandages, a pair of rather small breasts - small enough, perhaps, for her to achieve a similar effect through a sports bra - emerge into the light. The long light green hair may be tinted with blond, but it actually corresponds to Gallade DNA, one of the few warnings that she gives off prior to letting loose an attack that she's not fully human. A pair of stormy gray eyes sometimes seem to appear a deep plum color in the right lighting, but most stunning of all is when their owner taps into her psychic abilities, causing them to light up into a bright blue while her hair shifts about her shoulders. Having not a whole lot in the department of a bust or hips actually pays off in fighting, making that slender body a lot easier to maneuver though tight spots and dodge attacks, and although some might lament such a thing, Taylor doesn't spare a thought towards it. In fact, she'd much rather be thought of as a guy, finding it easier to go through life pretending to be a male than her true gender, and it is for that reason that she actually has adjusted her mannerisms and way of carrying herself to make them more masculine. Even if she was born a girl, she has no intent of living up to that ideal, instead following the path laid down by her Gallade DNA towards that ultimate goal of manhood.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
★ POSITIVE:
- Unrelenting;; Once Taylor sets her sights on something, she will not rest until she has accomplished that something, harrying her opponent until they yield her the results she desires, otherwise known as their defeat.
- Loyal;; When Taylor has given her oath and trust to someone, she will not violate that oath, especially if she happens to feel some sort of positive emotion towards that person such as trust, affection, or even love, as rare as that would probably be.
- Methodical;; If Taylor is going to do something, she has every intention of doing it right, going about it step by step until she's gone full circle and managed to accomplish her task.
- Protective;; Even though she doesn't trust people often and will actually bluntly state she won't keep someone safe if they get into something they can't handle, she often goes against her word to ensure that those she holds dear are safe.
- Respectful;; Mostly because she has her fair share of secrets she doesn't want public, Taylor isn't the type to pry, content to allow others their privacy in exchange for her own.
- Perfectionist;; Taylor refuses to accept anything less than the best she can give, and for that reason, she will continually push herself to get stronger, no matter the cost to herself and others.
★ NEGATIVE:
- Bitter;; Taylor grew up having to always compete for attention, and as if that wasn't enough to harden her, the ordeal she suffered at the hands of her brother as set her entirely against Team Rocket for the rest of her days, making her swear to get her revenge against them no matter what the cost is to herself or to others.
- Cruel;; Taylor has hardened her heart against those she hunts, and when she's set loose on someone, she can be brutal, crossing lines to satisfy her own rather sadistic tendencies, especially in terms of revenge.
- Hypocritical;; Oftentimes when Taylor criticizes something, she will think nothing of using that same thing to accomplish her goals - the biggest of these criticisms is actually over women staying out of danger, yet she often places herself in dangerous situations.
- Close-minded;; Taylor tends to see the world in terms of black and white, and when something doesn't fit the molds she's created, she will warp it to fall into a category or ignore it completely.
- Secretive;; As a female masquerading as a male, Taylor doesn't like to involve people in her private life, and she can become downright hostile when she feels her privacy has been threatened or violated in some way.
- Vengeful;; When Taylor has been wronged, she will not forget it, allowing the feelings to stew until the moment when she can enact her retribution upon all of those she feels responsible for the original sin.
★ HABITS, QUIRKS:
- In blatant disregard for the fact that she was born female, Taylor acts, dresses, and speaks as if she were male, and although her exact reasons aren't clear - whether it was reinforced because of the Gallade DNA or a genuine dislike of being a girl - she will not drop her masquerade in front of anyone, even her own family or a lover.
- Ever since Taylor quit smoking cigarettes, she has taken up sucking on lollipops in an attempt to really kick the habit: It's not an addiction that's the problem, it's that her mouth wants something to do after quitting so suddenly, and since she refuses to cough from inhaling smoke into her lungs ever again, she picks indulging in lollipops.
- Taylor doesn't really use her psychic abilities to violate someone's thoughts, viewing it as an invasion of someone's privacy, and as such, the only time she will intentionally use it will be during a fight, using it to get an edge over her opponent, though it will also occasionally come out when she's asleep, allowing another psychic (or sleeping person touching her) to be able to read her thoughts more easily.
- When Taylor uses an attack such as Leaf Blade, she actually uses her arms for it much as a Gallade would, the "blades" manifesting themselves in her mind's eye and then running the attack over those blades that she has manifested through her psychic abilities.
- Taylor has a series of piercings in her ears, as well as in a few other places on her body, and while she likes the way they look, they all hold a significant meaning for her - each successive piercing she gets represents a member of Team Rocket that she has brought in, and she has every intention of getting a new one with each new one she brings in.
★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
To many, the person known by the name of Taylor Kendricks is an enigma. In fact, most of them don't even know that this "he" is actually a she. She can be quite moody at times and antisocial, content to stew in her hatred for Team Rocket and to chase after that distant dream of being able to take them all down one day. She claims that if someone gets themselves into her troubles that she won't be the one to bail them back out again, yet she will often go against that same claim in order to keep others safe. She is loyal to a fault, refusing to leave someone in need or violate her word, and rather methodical, not the type of person to skip to the end of the book just because she doesn't feel like reading the rest of the pages. She hoards secrets to herself, refusing to let others see past her shells, but given how badly her brother had hurt her and how she's going about a powerful agency such as Epispect masquerading herself as a male, she has her right to want to protect her secrets. She won't push someone's boundaries either, following the logic that if they want to tell her, they'll tell her and no amount of prodding will change that, though a large part of that tendency also lies in the fact that she feels that if she doesn't pry into someone else's secrets, they'll leave hers alone in return.
That's all not to say Taylor doesn't have a dark side. In fact, she actually has a darker personality that some. In her world, things are either right or wrong, black or white, with no middle ground or shades of gray. If something doesn't fit into her two extremes, she will either ignore it completely or force it into the piece and then let the matter lie. She harbors a fierce hatred for Team Rocket stemming from the fact that she views her brother joining the organization as the greatest sin and something that warped him into the cold-blooded killer he nearly became when the fire he lit in her apartment to escape nearly killed her. She views her own vendetta as something she has to complete at all costs, no matter how much it may ask of her, and she will not alter her course no matter what it is that this might cost her. She's also a rather big hypocrite, persuading people that revenge isn't the way yet sporting a stunning array of piercings down her ears that all represent the number of Rockets that she's brought in. Unleash her on a mission and she will not hesitate to use force, especially if she is feeling particularly stressed. She will never forget a wrong that has been given to her, ever, and she can get quite temperamental when discussing things that bring someone closer to revealing part of her that she never intended to talk about. She pushes herself harder and harder, every day wanting to be strong enough to handle things on her own and be able to hand in the perfect report, catch the perfect criminal, and bring back the perfect culprit. It's part of her personality to be so intense, and she won't back down to allow anything less either.
One of the oddities about Taylor, however, seems to be the haunting one regarding her gender. Even though she was born female, she has associated herself closer with the male since elementary school, and with the addition of Gallade DNA into her body, she sometimes seems to forget that underneath the bandages around her chest, she still has a small pair of breasts. She remembers as soon as she removes any clothing, of course, but sometimes the illusion pulls on her too strongly to resist its seductive call, though her reason for following it remains unknown. Some probably think that she has a sweet-tooth for all the lollipops she consumes, but it's actually something far different. Taylor was quite the smoker back a few years ago, using it as a crutch to cope with losing her brother to the underground, but after the fire, she found it distasteful to hold smoke in her lungs for even her cigarettes and quit them cold turkey, instead taking up the lollipops to give her mouth something else to do. Her feelings on her psychic abilities, however, are perhaps the most perplexing. She doesn't want to look at someone's private thoughts or mess with their minds, viewing it as a gross violation of their privacy, so the only time she will use it is when she's fighting in order to gain an edge on people. However, when she's tired, things come out. Her mental barriers come down, making it easier for another psychic to be able to pick up on her thoughts, and sometimes if a sleeping person touches her while she's dreaming, her abilities will make the two share the same dream. No matter what though, Taylor is Taylor and it's best advised to go along with her oddities, especially if you don't want an angry Gallade Gijinka swearing revenge upon you.

H I S T O R Y
- Taylor was born to a pair of middle-class parents anxious to get ahead in the world and to have a precious baby boy whom they could pin their hopes and dreams of success onto. She was the eldest child and lavished with attention, but she still wasn't the son they wanted, so when her father obtained a job at Epispect, she didn't have much longer to remain the center of her parents' attentions. Indeed, within a few years of her birth, she was joined by a younger brother, who quickly became the focus of her parents' pride, the baby boy they had longed for.
- A little jealous that her parents never bragged about her as they did her brother, Taylor first began to rebel during her elementary school years. When she was eight, she got the idea in her head that if she were a boy rather than a girl, she would gain more notice from her parents. She refused to wear skirts anymore and started to fight with the other boys in her grade, but nothing she did gained her the equality she craved. Being one of the guys, however, freed her from many of the pressures that being a young girl had put on her, and it was during this time that she first got the idea in her head that she'd rather be a guy than a girl.
- Entering high school proved, in some ways, a blessing for Taylor. No one at the school knew she was a girl rather than the guy she had learned how to project so successfully over the years. Her brother was actually in rather poor health during this time, recovering from a serious injury to his spine that had left her free to take the spotlight while he was pampered away in bed, recovering and regaining use of his limbs from the surgery that had gone so close to his spinal column. Come her junior year, her father was due for a promotion, and he would have no son to brag of - and no old friends to correct him either. And so her parents officially began to endorse Taylor's lie of masculinity.
- No one knew exactly how vital that claim would prove to be until it was too late. Having grown bitter with the removal of his spotlight and the long period of rehabilitation, Taylor's brother betrayed everything the Kendricks stood for and joined up with one of the gangs out in the slums, accepting a transfusion to become a Gijinka and thus make himself stronger and more of a force to be reckoned with. As the picture of the perfect son began to crack around them, her parents seized upon the sole ray of hope they had to salvage their image: they began to pressure their "other son" to join Epispect when "he" graduated in a year's time.
- Taylor met this demand enthusiastically, presenting herself before Epispect when she turned eighteen, the child of a powerful hunter and full of her own promise. She expressed a strong desire to get rid of her brother, who was beginning to prove himself an inconvenience as he made use of his family's name to get information he might not have been able to otherwise, and better yet, her relation to him would mean that she would have at least a decent inkling of some of his thought processes. Her sole condition of having her records partially suppressed - just enough to hide her true gender - was a permissible one, especially considering that she insisted upon receiving the DNA of a male-only Pokemon. She was signed on with the condition that she would have to wait a year before she obtained her transfusion. She accepted.
- Since the day Taylor woke up with Gallade DNA flowing through her veins at the age of nineteen, something changed inside the elder Kendricks sibling. She went to greater lengths to conceal her femininity, wrapping her chest with bandages rather than relying on the too-small sports bras she'd been using before and even began dating other girls every now and again. She started smoking to cope with the frustration of not being able to catch up to her brother and give him the fate he deserved for deserting his family values, and perhaps the most alarming, she seemed to begin buying into her won facade of masculinity at times, though the only ones to notice were her Pokemon and, of course, her darling brother when the two siblings would fight each other.
- And then, on the day of Taylor's twenty-second birthday, the final straw came. Her brother, newly allied with Team Rocket, broke into her apartment and attempted to convince her to follow him, but when she refused, he caused the building to catch on fire so he could make his escape. Taylor lost consciousness attempting to find her way out through the smoke and very well would have died if not for her Pokemon dragging her out. She received substantial injuries to her chest and stomach, particularly over her breasts where the bandaging had burned before one of her Pokemon had put it out, and she grew furious. Things had gotten personal.
- Unable to take the feeling of holding smoke in her lungs anymore, Taylor gave up cigarettes, but she was bitter, hardened against Team Rocket and everything it stood for, at least in her mind. Every time she brought in a Team Rocket member, she got herself a new ear piercing, refusing to let herself forget what had happened on the night of her twenty-second birthday. She gave her Pokemon away to her parents after one of them nearly died pursuing her vendetta with her, but she refused to alter herself from her path. She would have her revenge against her brother and against Team Rocket or she would die trying.
