Some people might have been dissatisfied with the sudden cold snap in the Aether area, but not Dawn. She merely put on her tan cloak with the sable lining and the red trim, held her head high, and got on with her day. An Isengard was made for the cold, or so her grandmother had always said, and whether or not that statement still held true anymore - it had been many a generation since the Isengard family had actually spent prolonged time in colder climates, let alone spend the vast majority of their lives in such conditions - Dawn had every intention of scouting out the mountains like she'd be told to, wanting to investigate rumors of a possible source of a special ice-covered rock in the region of the higher reaches of the Amplus Mountain Range that could possibly induce an Eevee to evolve into a Glaceon. It would be a useful thing to note, especially if it was something they could guard and then possibly use to their own advantage. Though, of course, even if it wasn't something Team Rocket could use, the human still wanted to make an attempt to find what sounded just like the kind of thing that her family would have guarded long ago. Her grandmother hadn't mentioned such a thing, but the proud young woman knew that her grandmother hadn't told her everything prior to her death, not by a long shot.
It was a solo trip that she'd embarked upon, a personal odyssey to attempt to find herself and her family history, something she'd always wondered about. She had always wanted to know more about her family's history, the ancestors whom she had the sole duty of upholding now that her parents had shamed them, but after her grandmother had died, the opportunity to do that had almost become nonexistent. Sure, there might have been a few people or records of her family's past, but she doubted there would be enough to fill in a lifetime's worth of wanting and needing to know. She sighed softly as she clambered up over a large ice-covered rock, sure-footed as a Sawsbuck with her ankles turning every which way as they worked to spread her weight in a manner that would ensure she did not tumble down the mountain again. It was a pity to her that all of that information about her forbearers, a proud people, would be lost to time, but in a way, she was almost glad for it, at least for this particular outing. Even though she had assured her superiors that she could handle such a low-class mission on her own, that her family heritage ensured that she could get along just fine in conditions of extreme cold, she had a gut feeling that she had been assigned a partner for this quest, which was why she had not spared a moment upon reaching the Amplus range, instead pressing onwards. She did not particularly feel like dealing with idiots today.
