❢ Moves! ---- Gijinka are not limited to four moves. Instead, we allow you to use any move that a pokemon may use through leveling up seeing as Gijinka have no levels. HOWEVER. Higher evolutions may use the moves listed in the "Pre-Evolution Moves" section of their Serebii pages.
❢ TMs! ---- Since Gijinka aren't exactly pokemon, they can't use TM's as normal pokemon could. Instead, Epispect seems to have come up with a rare serum that enables a Gijinka to learn a TM move! These are only given out as prizes for contests and as gifts by admins.
❢ Evolution! ---- Unlike their pokemon counterparts, Gijinka can not evolve, their DNA can not support it. So when you choose a pokemon, that's the one you stick with.
❢ Ages! ---- Younger humans are only able to support the DNA of pre-evolutions. No 12 year old can have the DNA of a Salamence and no 28 year old can be a Pichu. We're going to trust your judgement in this, so be realistic!
❢ Look alikes! ---- We know that it's difficult to come up with the PERFECT face claim for each Gijinka to match their pokemon, so all we're going to ask is that you make it as similar as you can. If your pokemon is mostly white, go for white hair, etc. But remember, no tails, ears or anything of the sort!
❢ Legendariess! ---- Currently, Epispect has not found a way to merge the DNA of legendary pokemon with humans, as it is far more complex. So, as of now, legendary Gijinka are not found.
❢ Limits! ---- There are no limits to how many of each Gijinka roam the lands, as Epispect does not care about who gets what, except for what evolution everyone gets according to age. But, here on our site, we are limiting it to three each until we start getting more members. This isn't about characters, members can have as many gijinka as they wish, but we only allow three slots of each pokemon site-wide.
❢ Battles! ---- Yes! Gijinka CAN battle! And guess what, they can battle BOTH pokemon and other Gijinka! This is one of the reasons why we allow humans to have a starter pokemon and not Gijinka - they can fend for themselves until they get their first pokemon - and even then!
❢ Legal vs Illegal! ---- There are two types of Gijinka in Aether - those who are legal and those who aren't. What's the difference, you ask? Well, those who are legal are those who paid to have the transfusion done by Epispect, whether they had the virus or not. Those who are illegal got their transfusion done in the black market under shady circumstances - whether they killed to get their DNA, stole it or simply purchased it from a black market merchant varies from person to person - but that's not important. What is, is that they realize that their heads are on the line, their hides hunted by Epispect itself. Keep in mind, Gijinka DNA is not passed down via birth!

❢ Wild encounters! ---- We're running this by level on here, and mods will roll pokemon levels according to what you are using. Evolutions will also pertain to these levels, so you will not run into a level 10 Aggron or a lvl 50 Magikarp. Also, baby pokemon will not be found in the wild, these are only obtainable through breeding with items or by finding one in a shop.
❢ Moves! ---- Pokemon do not have a move limit here. Instead, as you level up your pokemon, they keep all the moves they've learned as they learn them. TMs and HMs are also for sale occasionally in the shops.
❢ Battles! ---- A pokemon is allowed to make two moves in one post during a battle. A dodge counts as a move, so if the pokemon evaded an attack, it can only attack once in that turn. Charge time or cool-down time is also considered a "move" in this case, so Solar Beam can be charged and fired in the same post, but then the pokemon isn't allowed to do anything else.
❢ Starters! ---- To tempt people into making humans and not just Gijinka, we're offering each human character one starter pokemon of their choice from this list. Gijinka may not choose a starter.
❢ Levels! ---- With each win [meaning your pokemon makes another faint], a mod will award you 2 levels to that pokemon. With each loss [meaning your pokemon has fainted], a mod will award you with one level to that pokemon. If you catch a pokemon which you had fought [proof provided], a mod will award you with one level to the pokemon who fought, NOT the one you caught. If problems arise with this system, it may be changed at a later date.
❢ Evolution! ---- Pokemon who evolve via leveling up evolve normally when they reach that level. Pokemon who evolve with stones evolve once you purchase that stone from the point store and use it on the pokemon in question. If a pokemon evolves by happiness, it will do so after at least six battles in a minimum of two threads. This means at least three battles in each thread in which said pokemon participated. F.Y.I. - One battle = one fight with one pokemon. When you come to the thread where your pokemon is able to evolve - AFTER THE REQUIRED BATTLES ARE FINISHED - You may evolve the pokemon. Umbreon and Espeon depend on if it is day or night in the thread in which it is evolving. Leafeon and Glaceon evolve depending on which item you purchase in the evolution shop.
❢ Restricted! ---- We have no restricted pokemon on this site except for Legendaries, which are currently unobtainable. Yes, this means you can easily get your Eevee or your dragon type.
