It was kind of ironic, that these mountains would be Gwen's preferred training grounds. Having been the site of the incident that cost the life of her Riolu over a decade ago, it did hold some very bad memories for her. Still she went, fought the emotion to come back every weekend. Her father taught her to always fight to overcome her weaknesses, and never run from them.
At least it was easy to avoid the particular area where it happened. The mountains were huge and there were plenty of places for her to go. She might work up the courage to revisit the place some day, but not today. Gwen was much further into the mountains than that, in an area that provided her some space to move, and it was about as flat as any area in the mountains could get. It it was off the path and took a bit of climbing to get to, but it wasn't much trouble for Gwen, if anything it only added to her training.
Holding her fists together and pulling them apart, she produced a long bone shaped pole composed of aura energy. She then proceeded to go through various moves from jabs, strikes and blocks. Her focus remained on repeating the moves of her bone rush attack. It was not a good thing really, something could probably sneak up on her if it wanted to.

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe little Shinx tumbled head over paws down the mountain side, yelping as he hit a few rocks on the way down the slope before the world finally stopped spinning and he could lie there for a few moments in a daze. He couldn't believe that he had been kicked out of his pride. He couldn't believe it. His breath huffed in and out of his lungs, his little side rising and falling with the movement that allowed for his life to continue even as it roiled around him and smashed into pieces. He lay there for a few moments more before he heaved himself to his paws, sitting there with his head down low. What was he supposed to do now? He couldn't go home... he was too young to be out on his own... he just couldn't win. His head was down near the ground, ears drooping as he finally admitted the inevitable and got to his paws, slowly padding off in a direction he picked at random. He had no home, no prospects, no future, no nothing. What was the point of remaining here? If he did, the other Luxio and Luxray would just come and attack him for staying after he'd been banished. And for what? For... for losing his sister. Tears pricked at the corners of his eyes. He hadn't meant to lose her in the mountains! Honest! She might have annoyed him every now and again when she'd bite his ear and chew on it when they were playing, but it wasn't something where he'd just abandon her out in the middle of unfamiliar territory!
He sniffled, ignoring the splash of tears as they hit the rock beside him, his tail dragging along the ground behind him as he walked. A Luxray never cries. A Luxray never cries. He just had to keep telling himself that over and over. A Luxray never cries. A Luxray never cries. A Luxray never- a loud sob tore at his throat and he collapsed in a heap, his paws giving out with his grief. Why? Why? He had loved his sister. He had loved her with all his heart. And then they had kicked him out of the pride, blaming him for her disappearance. Couldn't they see he was just as upset as they were that she was gone? Couldn't they see he was hurting without her at his side? Why couldn't they just understand that he wasn't to blame here? Whimpering quietly, he couldn't even bring himself to look up around him in case anyone or anything dangerous was nearby. He didn't care anymore. What was the point of staying here if his pride didn't even want him anymore? A Luxray was nothing without his pride. And this little Shinx had none.

She didn't know what she would do if she couldn't train like this. It was something she should have been doing, if she hadn't lost her Riolu all those years ago, and pursuing in training herself despite that, kind of made it feel like it never happened at all.
It was a good feeling for her, and it was hard to come back to reality. So once she was going, her focus stayed on her training, and she quickly lost perception of what was happening around her. Even though the Shinx hadn't appeared too far, Gwen failed to notice him until he finally let out a loud sob. At this point she took a step backward, her first reaction to face the source of the noise and put her bone up in a guard position, after which she identified it as a sad little Shinx.
While the Shinx itself didn't seem all that aggressive, Gwen knew enough that they usually hung around in groups, and a Luxio or Luxray could pose her a much more serious threat if they were around. For a moment, her eyes glowed as she attempted detect the aura around her, but found no others within range.
She scratched her head, wondering why a Shinx would be sulking alone like this. She might have just let it wander off and went back to her training, but the sad look on his face broke her heart. She sighed as she recalled feeling as sad as the Shinx looked. Icarus was gone forever, and she'd never train a pokemon again. She wondered if he lost someone too.
Instead she let her bone fade away and took a tentative step forward before crouching down to bring her face closer to the Shinx's eye level. "Hello? Are... Are you going to be okay?" She asked, looking at him with concern. Immediately she wondered if she had even said the right thing. Ugh... Gwen thought to herself. Well, she supposed the worst that could happen was the Shinx got angry and attacked her.[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe Shinx lay there on the ground, his body limp and his eyelids fluttering closed as he lay there on the ground, waiting for death to find him. What was the point of staying here? His sister was missing... he was exiled from his pride... he was just hopeless. Might as well just let the Mandibuzz get him here. Maybe then he'd be of some use to someone. He was all alone in the world, useless and stupid and pointless and just a dead weight to anyone who he might have had any ties of affection to. No, it was better this way. At least now he could stop troubling people. He turned his gaze to the swirl of sickly yellow and reddish-orange that was the inside of his own eyelids, watching the swirl of colors and dots that ebbed and flowed along with the minute changes of sun and shade falling on him when suddenly, his entire field of vision changed to that ghastly spoiled topaz color. His eyes slowly opened halfway, staring at and right through the human before him with an absence of interest. Okay? When was he ever going to be okay? When was anything ever going to be okay ever again? He was alone and there was nothing he could do to change that. Who would ever want a failure like him? Nobody, that's who. "Shiiiiiinx," he whimpered softly in response, his ears down as he turned away from the human and instead tucked his face into his hind legs, hiding from the world. It was selfish, he knew, but he didn't want her to look at him, to see how low he had fallen. He had wanted to be a proud Luxray one day, able to roar and guide his pride. But now... now he'd be lucky to even be able to start a family. And he had no one but himself to blame. No one but himself. Sure, it was childish to hide his face, but he was still a cub. He was a lonely little cub without a pride to call his own. No home... no prospects... no family... You couldn't get much lower than that. Not really. No. Maybe if he was lucky, the human would understand that and just put him out of his misery. Maybe...

Well, he didn't seem angry at least, but it seemed her words did little to help the pokemon. Still, she felt compelled to help the Shinx and couldn't just leave him there to cry. "What happened to your pride? Don't you have one?" She asked as gently as she could. Whatever she did, it would be hard to help the Shinx if she couldn't figure out why it was upset. Asking about it's pride seemed like a logical place to start.
Since the Shinx didn't seem too hostile, she moved closer to get a better look at the Shinx. Upon closer examination she could see there was a lot of dirt in his coat, as if he had been rolling around on the ground. Given how upset he was, it was a pretty safe bet he hadn't been doing it for fun. She hadn't noticed him fall down the incline earlier though, so she wasn't sure if he was hurt or not.
Whatever the case, she raised a hand above the Shinx. For a moment it glowed pink, before emitting a pulse of energy. Heal pulse wasn't one of her most practiced moves, but if anything it would heal at least some of it's minor injuries. "Does that feel better?"[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe Shinx thought that the human would kill him, or at least let him faint so that he could have the bliss of unconsciousness to numb the pain and sorrow stabbing at his heart, creating long scratches that bled and bled and bled as time went on, the wounds refusing to scab over because that would be too good for the likes of him - after all, his pride had to be right, they were his pride, it had to be his fault that his sister was gone - and he didn't deserve to be patched up either, no, he should just be left to bleed out for life to take pleasure in it if that so suited people's fancy. Then he heard the question she asked, the one about his pride, and he couldn't contain a loud sob, his whole body rocking from the force of his emotion. He knew that he deserved to be kicked... but still, it was a jab he hadn't been expecting! He didn't deserve a pride anymore! He didn't! It was all his fault that his sister was gone, and they had kicked him out for it! He would never be a good Luxray, never, and while he knew that he had no right to be hurt, the reminder from someone who wasn't even part of his drama just rubbed salt into the cuts, making them burn and sting until it was just too much for him to stand anymore and he could do nothing to restrain the cry of agony for a single moment longer. He tucked himself tighter into a ball, squinching his eyes shut as he felt the hot prick of tears at his opticals. No, he was stronger than that! A Luxray never cried! Never! He was stronger than that, he was! He wasn't crying! He... he just had something in his eyes! Yeah, that was it, he had something in his eyes and he didn't want the human to see it and get the wrong idea!
Oh who was he kidding? He was crying. He didn't have a pride anymore. He would never be a good Luxray. The last of the fight in his body, that stubborn scrap of dignity he had that he had clung to so tenaciously since it was all he had left, the very last of his former spunk and fire seeped out of him, leaving him with a hollow feeling akin to that of a shell who had been abandoned for something bigger and better, leaving him there to be abused by the elements and whatever else decided to take advantage of him. He couldn't even muster up any feelings when his wounds were healed up, the little cuts and bruises disappearing from the human's efforts. After all, what were such petty little things like a few scratches compared to the aching, bleeding hole in his heart that came from knowing he had no family, no friends, and no chance at a future?

Gwen thought helplessly as her questioning only seemed to upset the Shinx even more. While she managed to heal it's wounds, that seemed to have little effect on the Shinx's mood either. "I'm sorry." She apologized.
While most male Luxios were sent away from the pride once they reached maturity a shinx was surely too young for that. He done something to get himself banished. Seeing the Shinx so upset though, she really couldn't imagine what he might have done. It couldn't possibly have been terrible. The Shinx obviously regretted it.
Then again Gwen had done terrible things she regretted too. The guilt, the self loathing, the never ending grief. She hated thinking about it, but now that she was, she was beginning realize, her feelings, her pain from all that long ago, were reflected in the Shinx. If she had been a pokemon back then, this would have been her.
So maybe he lost someone like she did. I should know what to do. Gwen thought helplessly. The truth was however, she didn't know what to do. No one ever consoled her or felt bad for her after what she did. Most of them wanted her banished. She would have chosen it if her father had allowed it. What were you supposed to say to make it all better? There was just nothing.
Tears began to roll down her eyes, but unlike the Shinx she made no move to hide them. There seemed little point after so many years. No one cared either way. She was a pathetic excuse for a trainer whether she cried or not. "I don't know what you did, but... I'm here for you." Gwen said, her voice a little shakey from her own crying. She reached out to the Shinx, gently stroking her hand through his fur. "It's alright to cry if you need to... Everyone cries sometimes."[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe tears pricking at the little Shinx's eyes almost refused to fall, and he lay there helplessly hoping and praying they would fall because it wasn't like he was ever gonna be a Luxray anyway, so why shouldn't he cry and beg and scream when he was running his paws ragged to please the Pokemon he loved but it wasn't as if it ever mattered in the end since all he had to do was make one mistake, one little mistake like taking his eye off of his younger sister while they were playing, and then everything went wrong and everyone was yelling at him but he didn't have all of the answers, no one did, and then he was cast out into the cold and had to watch as they all got along with each other and romped and did all the sorts of things that he had always craved for until he just couldn't take it anymore and he ran away as fast as his paws could carry him, unable to take any more of the twisting of the blade in his heart. Then he'd tripped on a stray rock while blinded by his tears and tumbled down the hill like little more than a rag-Pokedoll.
And now he'd come full circle, more or less anyway. He'd always heard that talking about it was supposed to make things better. Hah, that was a lie. All it did was make him want to start crying again. He couldn't hold his little world together with his own two paws, he was only a Shinx. If he was a Luxray, he could do it with a single paw. But a Shinx... no, as a Shinx, he couldn't do anything. All he could do was lie here and hope that his world didn't break anymore. Maybe his sister would come back to the pride and they'd all realize they had made a horrible mistake accusing him. Maybe they'd realize that they needed him and would come back to get him. Maybe they'd let him come back to the pride again even though he'd done such horrible things. Maybe maybe maybe. His mama had always said that you couldn't live your life on maybes... but that was all he had left, so he might as well try, right? He began to uncurl from his ball when he felt a gentle hand stroking through his fur. What was this? It was soothing away some of the tension in his muscles, and when he looked to the side, he saw the human with tears on her own cheeks. So... so the humans cry too? Maybe... maybe she got exiled from her pride too. Letting out a soft sound, he licked her wrist quietly, his ears twitching as he tried to hold back tears himself. Even though he wouldn't become a Luxray and he wouldn't get to lead his own pride, not anymore at any rate, he still hated to see anyone cry. And... and even if he wouldn't be a Luxray, he should still try to make her stop crying... right?

She managed to smile a bit and bring her free arm up to wipe the moisture away from her face. His tongue was very very rough, but soothingly warm.
Gwen continued to pet the Shinx, only pausing to sit herself down crosslegged beside the pokemon. "Whatever you did wrong, it couldn't have been on purpose. You're too kind for that." She said, still wishing she could understand what the Shinx said so she could help him better. This Shinx hardly looked like a trouble maker, and he tried to cheer her up so he couldn't be that bad.
She sighed a little bit. The Shinx couldn't have done whatever he did on purpose. Someone like him... it had to be a mistake. Thinking of herself though, she could only feel worse. It wasn't a mistake what happened all those years ago. "I was part of a clan once. It's like a pride. It was made up of some of the most dedicated pokemon trainers and mercenaries you'll find. I should have been great like them. I disgraced myself though. I wanted to prove I was strong enough to take on missions but my father wouldn't let me go."
Gwen pulled her hand away from the Shinx, feeling more pathetic rattling this all off. The Shinx would hear what happened and just see her as the selfish fool she was. Maybe she thought he could understand or relate at first, but how could he relate to that? "My Riolu died protecting me from a Rhyhorn after I disobeyed orders and went out anyway." Gwen let the last sentence come out as quickly as she could coherently say it, as if it would make it less painful to say, like ripping a bandage off a wound.
Gwen's head fell on her knees and she buried herself in her arms. The Shinx would probably just be disgusted with her and leave. As if she even deserved to make friends with a pokemon. He'd probably think she'd mess it up again and end up killing him the same way she killed Icarus.[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe little Shinx couldn't help it. He let out a soft purr as the human continued to stroke him, the little cub unable to restrain himself from leaning his head up into her hand so that his ears were subject to more of the attention. His ears twitched under her hand, however, when he heard her start explaining, and he sat down before her, listening intently. He felt a small surge of satisfaction at having guessed correctly about her having had a pride once too, though that immediately went away when he heard the distress in her voice and when she took her hand from his fur. He stared at her for a long moment, confused by the sudden withdrawal, but as soon as she spoke again, his heart immediately went out to her. Even as badly as he'd messed up, he hadn't gotten anyone killed like she had! Though... though she was so sweet... and she was crying so hard... it was obvious she hadn't meant to cause the death of her companion. Getting to his paws, he padded over to her, nudging her thigh with his leg. "Shi shinx," he murmured quietly, nuzzling her. They were both outcasts then, and while he knew that he really should get out of there and go back to trying to get himself lost so that he wouldn't trouble anyone else with his presence ever again, he also had the selfish urge to remain here with someone like him, someone who wasn't wanted by her pride any more than he was by his own. It was selfish, true, not to mention petty and shallow for taking comfort in someone else's suffering... but well... he had just been so down... and just knowing that there was someone, even a single human, who had suffered just as he had made it all just a little more bearable. He still wasn't ever going to become a good Luxray... but was that really such a bad thing if he was in such good company?

She knew what she had done, and she knew what she did was terrible and beyond forgiveness. She couldn't even lie about it if she tried. Maybe he'd run off knowing at least he wasn't as terrible as her. Whatever positive could come of this, that was probably it.
The shinx however, did not leave her. Gwen felt him nudge her with his paw, and she only lifted her head enough to uncover a weary eye. Great, the Shinx wasn't just going to leave her, but it was going to try and maul her for her crime too. Slowly too, given that it couldn't even swipe at her with much strength.
Except when she looked at the Shinx, she didn't see the pulse pounding anger and hatred she had been expecting. When he spoke he sounded anything but mad. Gwen looked at the Shinx, confused. "You... want to be my friend? Even though..." Gwen was touched, though she looked like she was about to unleash another round of tears.
Still, she couldn't be sure of herself. She had been forbidden to train pokemon, since she hadn't technically chosen to be banished. Still, the Kings of Valor were no more. For what it was worth now she might as well be banished and free to train pokemon on her own. She also couldn't bear to turn this little Shinx down and leave him to go wallow in self pity again.
Though fresh tears were streaming down her face, Gwen was also smiling at the same time. "Thank you Shinx. You're a true friend." Gwen said, giving the back of his ear another good scratch. She then stood up and walked over to where she had dropped her bag earlier, and began digging through. She used it mainly a handful of supplies, but there was also some other junk in there that had been collecting dust since the days the Kings of Valor still existed, that she just hadn't bothered to clean out. After a moment, she pulled out a poke ball. She flipped it open, revealing it to be empty (which was a good thing, she'd feel even more rotten if there were pokemon that had been stuck in there for so long!) She then held the ball out to the Shinx. "So, you want to stay with me right?" She asked, giving the Shinx the choice. She hoped she hadn't misread him. It might be a bit awkward if that happened...[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || ChargeThe Shinx's ears went down when he saw the tears beading up in the human's eyes, and he let out a low whine. He didn't know what to do with tears! He barely knew how to wipe away his own tears, never mind someone else's! Still, for this human he would try, and with that determination in mind, he rested his paw on the human's arm and reared up onto his hind legs, using his other forepaw to bat at the highest patch of skin available to him, unable to contain the thought that maybe, just maybe, if he was a little bit bigger, he would have been able to reach her cheek and wipe away the tears on his fur, but he wasn't, so he'd have to make do with what he had. When he saw the tears start to leak down her face, he let out a little yelp, trying harder to wipe away the tears while simultaneously doing his best to ignore the purr rumbling in his throat at the renewed attention to his ears. Dropping down to all fours again when she pulled away, he sat down there and blinked, watching her rummage around in a bag. What was she doing? He hadn't met any humans before, only heard stories, and as such, he didn't know what they kept with them at all times. When she turned around and showed him the red-and-white sphere that was opened up, he merely cocked his head to the side, letting out a soft "Shi?" in confusion. He did want to go with her... but what in Arceus' name was she expecting him to do here? His little head was hurting and he wanted to go with her, he just didn't know what it was she wanted him to do with that strange ball-like thing!
THE WILD SHINX WANTS TO GO WITH GWENDOLYN! SHINX CAN NOW BE CAUGHT!

"It's a poke ball. People use them to carry their pokemon around. When you touch it it will pull you inside and capture you." Gwendolyn explained. The Shinx must have been pretty young. Surely it's pride would have taught it about trainers by now? That seemed like something pokemon would teach their young to watch out for. "Here." She said, reaching out to touch the pokeball to the Shinx to initiate the capture.[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]

WILD SHINX APPEARED! [/style] Shinx || Male || Rivalry || Electric || Level 10 Tackle || Leer || Charge The Shinx's ears twitched at the explanation and he let out a nervous little mewl, not sure if he wanted to spend his time inside such a small ball, but it was too late for him to back out of by this point, not with the Pokeball being touched to his fur, and just like that, he was whisked up inside it in a flash of light.
Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ DING! After a little bit of shaking that almost seemed to be the new occupant getting a feel for the space inside rather than attempting to escape, the Pokeball stilled in the human's hand, displaying the acceptance the young Shinx had in his new pride, this one smaller than the one he had been born into but perhaps one less likely to abandon him than his original one.
WILD SHINX HAS BEEN CAUGHT!
WILD GIBLE APPEARED! [/style] Gible || Female || Sand Veil || Dragon/Ground || Level 11 Tackle || Sand-Attack || Dragon RageThe Gible had attached herself to a small outcrop of rock, the little Dragon-type chewing noisily on a handful of berries her stubby paws had been lucky enough to be able to pry off a Cheri bush near her little cave, her flamboyant crimson throat swelling momentarily when she swallowed the mass down, snapping her jaws a few times or two as she ran her tongue over her pointed teeth, savoring the last of the juice that she gathered up before it slipped down her throat and was gone until she could manage to find another bush with low-growing berries within her reach. Huffing quietly as she bent over to the side, she picked up an Apricorn or two with her stubby arms, tossing them up into the air before she caught them in her mouth, her powerful jaw making short work of even the thicker shells as she broke it open, letting out a soft sound of contentment as she got to enjoy a taste of the mouth-watering cores of the Apricorns in addition to getting her teeth cleaned from the hard shells. Her stomach was still feeling a little sore, meaning she hadn't quite managed to fill the void in it yet. Waddling around looking for more food, she paused and hid behind a rock, peeking out from behind it to look at the human standing there with the Shinx. She wasn't really afraid of Shinx, not when most of their attacks were useless against her, but humans she was wary of. They took away perfectly good food and left helpless Pokemon like her to starve! Assholes. Muttering to herself in disgust about having to venture further to find more food, she paused when something caught her eye. The human was holding something in its hand... something in a shape she recognized. Her eyes went wide as they zeroed in on the object, drool already welling up in her mouth. Apricorns. She loved Apricorns with a burning passion she reserved for little else. And the selfish human was holding one in her hand. Admittedly, it was a very strange Apricorn, the Gible had never seen one like it in all her days, but shrugging it off as a hybrid of a red and a white Apricorn bush, she instead resolved to herself that she would get to taste that treat, not that asshole human. "Gib gible!" she cried, darting from her hiding place as quickly as she could and breathing out a stream of blue fire in a Dragon Rage attack.

You can't do this! Gwen thought to herself suddenly as the Shinx was absorbed into the poke ball which began rocking back and forth slightly in her hand. You can't do this! You aren't a trainer. You'll just end up failing him like you failed Icarus! Anxiety welled up in Gwen's mind as her self doubt ebbed it's way back into her mind. Part of her willed the Shinx to escape, to undo this mistake she was making.
After a moment though, a flat tone sealed her fate. She held on tightly to the poke ball which now contained her first pokemon in over a decade, as if she might end up accidentally drop it and lose it forever. Oh god, that'd be terrible... Gwen thought when the idea of a pokemon's poke ball being lost with the pokemon still in it. Did that... even happen? She supposed pokemon could still break out of their ball. Some pokemon did that after all even if their trainers didn't want them to.
I guess I better head home and sort this out... Gwen thought. She could really use some time to figure out what she was going to do from here now she was responsible for her new friend. Before she could even take a step however, something had hurled an orange orb of energy, catching her off guard and sendinging her flying to the ground. Fortunately she had already been holding tight to her Shinx's poke ball so it didn't go flying out of her hands, though her arms suffered some minor scraping.
"What did I do to you?" She mumbled indignantly as she looked up at her attacker which turned out to be a Gible. Dragon/Ground type. Gwen automatically thought as she got back up. She could take dragon type moves without much damage, but ground type moves were a problem. Given the strength of the dragon rage attack though, Gwen didn't really take the little ground shark as being that strong.
The Gible was obviously angry and ready for a fight, and a fight was what it was going to get. Gwen wasn't much of a stranger to battling, especially out in these mountains. Pokemon showed up picking fights and she did have times where she had to defend herself. Now though, she had a Shinx and she wondered if it would be a good idea to have him battle. Pokemon got stronger by fighting, but on the other hand she hadn't even had him long enough to give him a name.
Deciding she'd begin training the Shinx at a different time, she clicked the button on the poke ball, causing it to shrink down to the size of a marble. She then began using Detect, allowing herself to keep track of the Gible's next move while she quickly grabbed her bag and put her poke ball safely inside it, before putting it back on.[/style] [style=background-color: #414141; color: #a0c2d4; font-size: 9px; letter-spacing: 2px; font-family: arial ; text-align: center; padding: 2px; margin-left: 5px; margin-right: 5px; -moz-border-radius: 10px;]...I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back...[/style]
