Terra didn't know what she was doing now. She didn't know what she had done or what she was even going to do now. All she knew was that she'd had a little apartment and now she'd been kicked out because of a few scorch marks she hadn't managed to hide them underneath anything in time. It wasn't her fault she was a Flareon Gijinka, it wasn't! She hadn't wanted this and she hadn't wanted her stupid fire abilities! Of course, no one ever asked what she had ever wanted, they had just given them to her and been done with it. Either way, she had nowhere to stay now, and she had to stay in the city for a few more days; she had business to attend to. She had things to purchase. She had an egg tucked up to her chest and she had nowhere to keep it safe now. " I'm sorry, Sparks," she whispered to the little Eevee egg, " I'm so sorry you couldn't have a better Trainer than me." She pressed a kiss to the egg's shell, on the verge of tears. " I'm sorry, Sparks, I'm so sorry." She tucked the egg closer to her chest, needing only a moment to decide to tuck the poor egg under her shirt to try to keep it warm. She would take care of Sparks. She would. She would take care of Sparks the way she should have taken care of her brother. She owed it to him. Her whole body stiffened at the sound of thunder, head ducking down towards her collarbone and the top of the egg shell. She hated rain... but she had no choice. She had to go out in it. Already resigning herself to loosing almost all of the touch to the little pocket of fire inside her, she ran out into the rain, yelping as soon as the first bucket of water soaked her head, her arms tightening in a vague attempt to try to save the poor egg from getting wet and cold. She tried to keep under cover as much as she could, but by the time she found a place dry enough to stay, directly underneath a little covered bench near a streetlight. Her clothing was soaked and she was shivering violently, but she had Sparks. She would be okay so long as Sparks was okay. Of that she was certain. Or so she tried to convince herself. OOC: ... I feel so guilty for doing that, I'm gonna go try to drown myself in a hole now. Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 1/10

It doesn’t seem like it would let up anytime soon, and his shift already ended – he had to go home. Sylve hated this kind of weather, not only due to his modified DNA, but also because it made people more depressed than usual. A cold and wet nose pulled the boy out of his wandering thoughts as his shiny Houndour poked at his palm next to him. Sylve looked down and gently petted the dog’s head, scratching his ears. "What do you say, Alexander? Should we head out in that weather?" The unusually blue colored Houndour whined lowly before letting out a small growl, as if saying he didn’t like this weather either but he wanted to go home.
Another blue creature, a bird jumped on the Houndour’s head and pecked at Sylve’s hand lightly, trying to get his attention. Sylve smiled at the Swablu and scratched his belly before turning back to the window. "Okay, guys, this won’t let up anytime soon... better hurry then." He said, pulling an umbrella out of his bag and going to the door of the Pokemon Center, his two pokemon right in his heels. He knew not Alexander, nor Jonathan wanted to go back to their pokeballs right now, so even in this horrible weather the two would rather be next to him instead of the safe and warm pokeballs. Sylve was somewhat grateful for that, at least he didn’t have to make the trip back home alone. Jonathan jumped to his shoulder and settled under the umbrella, considering that spot to be dryer than the head of the Houndour.
They were half running down the road, trying to get back home as soon as possible and out of the rain when Alexander stopped suddenly. When Sylve turned to see what his problem was, the pokemon sniffed into the air and shook his body to get some of the water off of him. Alexander was looking at a particular direction, and by the time Sylve could check what he was looking at, the dog already started running toward the bench and the girl. When reaching the girl, the shiny Houndour stopped a few feet away from her, head lowered in a friendly way as to not to scare her.
Sylve followed Alexander and already knew what the pokemon wanted. The Houndour was surprisingly kind and much for charity, it wasn’t rare that the dog sniffed out some abandoned Skitties and took them to the Pokemon Center to be nursed back to health. He probably saw the girl as some soaked kitten as well, and wanted to help her. Sylve couldn’t say he wasn’t the same.
He stepped close enough so he could raise the umbrella above her head. "Hey, are you alright?" He asked with a smile, wondering why she was in the rain. "You are soaked. Why are you outside in such a weather?" Sylve already knew if the answer was even remotely disturbing, he would grab the girl’s hand and bring her to his home, if even for the time the rain let up.

Terra let out a little wounded cry, like that of a small bird, when she felt the egg starting to cool a little, her own shivering body sapping heat from little Sparks, who certainly needed it more than she did. " No!" she yelled, closing her eyes and digging deep inside her. She knew she didn't know the move she really needed to know, Flamethrower, but she knew Ember and that would be enough to keep Sparks warm, right? It would have to be; she didn't have another option. " Ember!" she whispered fiercely, running her hand over the egg and smiling when a few forlorn licks of flame fell from her fingers to where they were just grazing the shell. After placing her other hand quickly onto the egg before deciding it wasn't warm enough, she pulled her hand back and again cried " Ember!" This time, when she put her hand to the shell, Sparks seemed comfortably warm, as if she had left it sitting on a windowsill for several hours. She had to fight the urge to snatch the egg back up and wrap herself around it for warmth to stop her teeth from chattering. Her hair was clinging to her shirt, the wetness soaking through the thin fabric and straight to the skin of her back, chilling her right down to the bone. No wonder they said that Fire Pokemon could die in the rain if they weren't taken care of. Terra herself felt drowsy and weak, though that could have been because she hadn't eaten in a little while. She wasn't about to just let those two little Growlithe pups starve, even if it had been the last of her food, and even worse, she hadn't been able to find a job to earn some money after she had lost the little one she'd had at that shop. Lethargic, she curled up on the bench, her cheek pressed against the wood and her hair plastering itself to her back, cheek, and arms, which hung over the edge so that whatever warmth Sparks had wouldn't be stolen away by her. She blinked at the Houndour in front of her, its fur a strange blue color, though that could have been the hunger making her light-headed. " Heya sweetie," she whispered, holding out a hand for the Pokemon to sniff before it fell limp. " Sorry sweetie, but I don't have any food for you." She forced back a particularly strong shiver, her teeth chattering together in a way that made her whole jaw hurt. She blinked in confusion when a few stray droplets hit her arm, turning her head to see a boy with dark hair and lavender eyes standing over her, his umbrella lifted so that he could stay dry, and yet he had stepped close enough to her to shelter her head as well. "I'm fine," she replied softly, fighting back a sneeze. She'd rather not set him on fire by accident, not when he was being so nice to her. "My landlord just kicked us out and I have no money..." Her eyes widening in realization, she twisting, arms darting out to seize the egg where it sat on the bench, pulling it to her chest. What if he was an evil Pokemon-napper and wanted to take Sparks from her? Wait, that was stupid, he looked too nice to steal Sparks. No, a more logical explanation would be that he was part of some Pokemon Protection Agency and had come to take Sparks from her since she couldn't care for the egg. Tears stinging her eyes, she looked up at him, eyes fierce and full of as much of her inner fire as she could pour into them. " Look, I know that I'm not being the best Trainer to Sparks, but I'm trying, okay? I'm exhausted and hungry, but I'm doing the best I can! There's only so much you can do in a city of humans and they won't hire you because you're a Fire-Type Gijinka who can't even use her powers right!" As if to emphasize her point, she was unable to contain a sneeze, arms busy holding Sparks to her as her whole body convulsed, sending flames all around her mouth and nose as her powers activated and sent out an Ember without her permission. OOC: ... Dawwwww, she's so cute <3 Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 2/10

He could feel how cold her skin was, and he let out a small worried growl. He just blinked when the girl talked to him, not fully understanding what she meant, but Sylve was already there by that time, so he didn’t need to give a reaction.
The boy just waited patiently for her answer, keeping the umbrella more above her head than above himself. He could dry himself as soon as he is home, so he wasn’t worried. But the little girl, she certainly didn’t seem fine despite whatever she was saying, and a delicate frown appeared on his face. Kicked out of home? Sylve was afraid something similar had happened, but that also meant she had nowhere to go home to in this storm. He glanced at Alexander. He was sure the Houndour somehow knew the girl had such a problem, he was prone to find homeless pokemon, and in this case, gijinka in the street. Which, sadly, wasn’t that unusual.
"You poor one." He managed to say before she started talking again. Sylve just smiled understanding her worry, but knowing it was almost needless. In this town, people wouldn’t take a pokemon egg away just because it was mistreated anyway, but he could also say that it wasn’t the girl’s fault she couldn’t take care of it alone. "It’s okay, calm down." He said with his calmest possible voice, trying to reassure her that he had no intentions of ridding her of the egg. "I don’t want to take it away from you---" Was all he could say before the girl sneezed, flames sparkling around her, reaching his hand and arm that he was about to reach out for her. He pulled his hand back and made a startled sound, though not out of pain. Thanks to his DNA, he was invulnerable to fire, so the flames didn’t hurt at all. His hand, where the fire touched him flashed orange for a moment before it disappeared, showing only his unwounded hand and a slightly crispy sleeve of his coat.
She looked at the girl with an apologetic smile. So she was a gijinka, and quite obviously a fire type as well. It was somewhat lucky for him, but he knew that she won’t be able to survive outside in such weather, especially if her DNA had affected her body in such a way. "It’s okay." He said again. "I don’t want to hurt you or the egg, but if you stay out in this storm, you will get sick, and can’t take care of your little friend either." He tried to reason as best as he could, reaching his hand out again for the girl. "You aren’t the only gijinka here. I am one too. My house isn’t too far away from here. How about you stay there until the storm stops? You can warm the egg there as well." He was hoping she would take his hand so he could lead them out of the cold. He wasn’t lying, his house was only a block away, and even though there was no one at home right now, he could help her out just a little bit. Alexander grunted in agreement, and slightly nudged the girl’s hand to accept the offer.

Terra sniffled from her sneeze. " You don't want to take Sparks?" she whispered softly, as if the idea was something unthinkable for her. She then grinned childishly. " Thank you thank you thank you! I promise, I'll try to take better care of Sparks!" she squealed, a delighted smile on her face as she cuddled her egg to her chest. She then blinked as she realized that her sneeze should have burned " Hey, are you okay?" she asked, a sheepish smile on her face. " I didn't Burn you, did I?" She then blinked, seeing that his hand was fine even if the jacket sleeve seemed a little singed. " I... didn't hurt you?" she whispered, brow furrowing in confusion. " My Ember has never not hurt anyone before." She then grinned at him with an innocent glee twinkling in her eyes. " You're gonna have to teach me how to do that! I don't like hurting people when I sneeze, and if I can have others do that, they won't get hurt and I'll be happy and safe!" She held Sparks to her chest, pressing a kiss to the top of the shell, which was nice and warm from her sneeze earlier. " You hear that, Sparks?" she whispered to the egg, a wide grin on her face. " We're gonna be safe here." She loved Sparks, loved him or her with all her heart. She hoped Sparks would hatch soon just so that she would be able to meet the little Eevee and snuggle him or her close and kiss his or her nose and giggle and play with little Sparks. She loved Sparks with all her heart, and he or she was only an egg. She then blinked at the kind boy's words. " You're a Gijinka too?" she asked, cocking her head to the side adorably. " I've never met another Gijinka before..." She gave him a huge smile, wide with hope and glee at finding someone like her. " My name is Terra! Terra Alicia Rindalin! It's nice to meet another Gijinka!" She then blinked at the boy. " Thanks for offering! I'd love to go with you to your house and take care of Sparks there." She then giggled at the nudge from the Houndour. " You're such a cutie!" she couldn't help squealing, carefully setting Sparks down beside her so that she could scoop the dog-like Pokemon up and cuddle it to her for a long moment before setting it down again. " Sorry, couldn't resist," she giggled, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head before she twisted, picking Sparks up again, cradling the egg to her chest and taking the boy's hand. " Lead the way, friend!" she declared, a friendly smile on her face. Terra had always liked making new friends, and this boy was one of her favorites. For one, he wasn't a Pokemon, so she could actually talk to him, and for two, he had some place nice and warm to keep her and Sparks safe from the evil liquid falling down from the sky. Yes, Terra had a feeling she would like this boy, like him a lot. OOC: ... Terra is such a cheerful person... It's part of the reason why half the time Lydi and I want to strangle her. "Of course I won’t take the egg." He reassured her again, not at all intending to rid her of her pokemon. He had his own, two with him and the others waiting back home as well, but even if that wasn’t the case, he wouldn’t take a pokemon away from someone else. "Yep, not a burn anywhere. See?" He said cheerfully, holding up his hands so she could see there was indeed no injuries from her fire attack. It was lucky Sylve was the one finding her. If anyone vulnerable to fire would be in his case, they could indeed get injured, but as long as it was him, he will be alright. "But I can’t really teach you that, you know..." He murmured, not sure how to explain it exactly, but he figured they will have time to talk about it later.
"There are more of us in this city than you can imagine." Sylve remembered someone saying that to him, in Aether, many of the residents were gijinka, sometimes people couldn’t even distinguish them from normal humans. Sylve also didn’t have the ability to recognize them right away, only through observation, if he spends some time with them, but that barely helped him. At least he didn’t have to wonder about the girl, since she admitted being one herself.
"I’m Sylvester Blackwood. Nice to meet you too, Terra!" It was funny how he had the appearance of being around the same age as her, but the way she was acting, so childish and cheerful, made her seem younger than him. Sylve’s appearance was somewhat misleading anyway, making him appear younger, but he still seemed older with her around.
Alexander whined slightly as the girl gathered him up for a hug, looking at his owner for help, but Sylve only shrugged apologetically. Alexander will have to deal with it, if it makes the girl feel better, Sylve really couldn’t tell her not to do it. When the Houndour was released, he padded back next to his trainer and waited there for them to get going. It was raining, and he was also soaking wet already as well. Sylve squeezed her hand when she reached out, and turned around to head for their house. "Let’s go then." Jonathan, in the mean time, shifted so he could look at the girl from his place on Sylve’s neck, and eyed with her, mostly noting how wet she looked. As a Swablu, he didn’t like anything that had just a little patch of dirt on it, and he would make sure the girl is all clean when they are back home. He was the one watching the house’s cleanness, in the end.
It took only a little walk, and they were standing in front of a big, white house, a big double-door leading inside. Alexander was up on the top of the stairs, waiting for the others to get there. Sylve pulled the keys after he closed his umbrella when they were already safe from the rain under the awning, and opened the door, ushering the girl inside. "Here. We will talk more inside, let’s just get dry and warm."

Terra smiled at the boy, Sylvester. She liked that name, Sylvester. It was cute to her. Maybe, if she didn't have all her names picked out for her Eevees, she would've named one of them Sylvester. Wait... wasn't there a cartoon cat named Sylvester? Yeah, there was; she remembered watching it in the morning with her little brother back when they were younger. She giggled at the memories of watching that cat, and she even thought, now that she looked carefully enough, he looked a little bit like the cat. Sure, she was a little put out that he couldn't teach her how to teach others how to protect themselves from her fire, but that was more than forgivable with her new friend being so kind to her. She blinked at the sight of the Swablu on his head, grinning at it. " Tweety!" she exclaimed before she could control herself, giggling as she cuddled Sparks closer to her chest. She shivered again, and it was that shiver that reminded her that she was probably stealing heat from the poor egg. Sucking in breath sharply, she whispered a fierce " Ember!" under her breath so that her palms lit up again with fire to rewarm little Sparks. Sure, she was likely sending fire up Sylvester's arm, but from what she'd seen, she wouldn't hurt him. Ever. So she would just focus on keeping little Sparks warm and safe, tucked up into her chest. The egg was trying to repay her by heating her in return, but she just carefully tried to restore as much warmth as she could by maintaining the Ember for as long as she could, pushing out more fire from inside of her than she had ever been forced to before. Between that and the wet, she was feeling colder than she ever had been, but she was taking care of Sparks, so she'd do it all over again if she had to. She looked up at the house in awe. She hadn't lived in a house like that in years, and even then her parents' house had been smaller than this and rather tumble-down. She couldn't help grinning at the sight of the Houndour at the top of the stairs, waiting for the two of them. It reminded her of how she and her brother had begged her parents for years to get a dog, wanting there to greet them with a wagging tail and a happy bark. It had never happened, of course, but the sight of the Houndour just brought it to the forefront of her mind. She let herself be ushered into the house, her hair dripping wet and her arms still around Sparks, who was also a little wet from the rain and from being near her wet clothes. " Oh silly me!" she yelled, stopping dead and slamming her hand into her forehead, forgetting that she was still holding his hand and likely just jerked him to a complete stop and maybe even backwards a little, she was too busy freaking out to focus on him and if he would get the good sense to pull his hand out of hers or not. " I forgot to introduce you!" She then nodded her head towards the egg, a sheepish grin on her face. " This is Sparks, and one day Sparks is gonna be a Jolteon like my brother was!" OOC: ... I got nothing. She's a spazz. Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 4/10

It warmed his heart to see someone be so caring, though he knew that kindness and effort wasn’t always enough.
Jonathan ruffled his fluffy feathers as the girl pointed at him, but he just stared back at her blankly. He had no idea what she meant, though he could see Sylve snicker, but still, that didn’t explain anything. He decided to hop onto Sylve’s other shoulder, away from the girl and sulk there for a few minutes. Sylve felt vaguely bad for him – Jonathan hated not understanding something, and it was usually like that with human speech.
Alexander shook himself to get as many water out of his fur as possible, and waited for Sylve to get closer and open the door. The boy fell back a bit and stopped when she pulled on his hand, looking back at her, confused. He had no idea what her problem was at first, and was worried she started feeling bad from the rain, but he just laughed when he realized what it was all about. He released her hand to pat the egg gently. "Nice to meet your friend too! Seeing how well you treat it, I’m sure the egg will hatch soon." He tried not to ask about her brother, wondering if it would be a hurtful topic, like in his case.
He fished out his keys, opening the door and letting her in, but Alexander was in before anyone else, looking expectantly at Sylve from next to the shoe cabinet. He pulled his shoes off and stepped into a pair of slippers before turning to Terra. "Stay here, I’ll bring a few towels." He pulled out another pair of slippers for the girl to change into in the meantime, while he went to the downstairs bathroom to snatch a few towels, Jonathan still perking on his shoulder comfortably. The Swablu was probably the only one that stayed dry in this weather, and he already started wiping at Sylve’s hair to get him clean. The boy just giggled and returned with an armful of white, fluffy clothes and handed two to the girl – he laid one towel on her head, the other on the egg.
He pulled one towel on his shoulder, but since Jonathan was busy drying his hair already, he turned to Alexander and rubbed his head with another spare towel instead. He turned his head toward the hallway and whistled loudly. "We’re home and we have a guest! Come, greet her!" He called before turning back to Terra. "I haven’t introduced them either yet. This guy is Alexander." He said as he patted the now dry head of the Houndour then turned to the Swablu on his shoulder. "And he is Jonathan. The others will be here shortly as well."
Just as he said the last line, a purple Skorupi and an orange-feathered Torchic appeared in the hallway, walking up to Sylve to greet their tainer. "And these are Clarissa and Isabelle." Isabelle, the Torchic hopped on the head of Alexander comfortably, looking at the guest from there, while Clarissa timidly peeked from behind Sylve’s back and waved her scorpion tail as a greeting.
"When you dried yourself more or less, you can take a hot bath to feel better. My younger sister’s clothes will fit you until your own dry. And are you hungry? I can get you something to eat, quickly."

A large part of Terra wanted to rip Sylvester's hand off when he touched Sparks. It wasn't something she could justify really, the boy had been nothing but nice to her, but well... she had a bit of a mothering instinct to the egg. She thought it was because she was a Flareon and the egg was an Eevee, so her protective side flared to life since the Pokemon inside of her viewed the egg as her own child or something. She didn't know, nor did she particularly care. All she knew was that Sparks was hers and she would take care of the little egg or die trying. Though, of course, that also could have been because she wanted to do for Sparks what she hadn't done for her brother, and that was protect him. She hadn't been able to stop her parents from taking him to that same dark place where she had been given her powers, and she hadn't been able to stop him from the terrible fever, shaking, and pain that had taken him before he'd died. It was almost strange that she didn't remember his face but could remember every second she had held him in her arms as he died. She shook her head to rid herself of such sad thoughts. She was here now, she had Sparks, and she was safe with a new friend, and that was what mattered. She nodded at him when he requested she say here, toeing off her old tennis shoes and socks and sliding into the slippers. She hadn't really wanted to impose, but it was a pain to be in wet shoes. Wet sapped all the warmth right out of her, and in more ways than one. She was a Flareon, not a Vapoureon. She carefully set Sparks down on top of the cabinet, watching the egg with a careful eye even as she rested a hand on Alexander and pet the dog Pokemon absently to discourage him from jumping up and knocking poor Sparks off the cabinet. She jumped when a towel landed on her head out of nowhere, shimmying it down from over her eyes to around her neck to try to sap out some of the water from her hair while she tended to Sparks, which had also been covered with a towel. She picked Sparks up again, briskly rubbing the eggshell down to try to give it some warmth and dry it off from the rain that sapped heat from it before she sighed, putting it down again so that she could ruffle the towel through her hair quickly, already knowing that between the knots and the soaking nature of her hair that it would take hours for all the water to seep out of it. Giving up after a moment, she turned just in time to see Sylvester turn to her. " Hi Alexander!" she cooed, ruffling the Houndour's ears affectionately before turning to the Swablu, gently rubbing a finger over the bird's head. " Hey Jonathan!" She then giggled at the sight of the Torchic on Alexander's head, finding it adorable. " Well aren't you just the sweetest thing!" she giggled, using two fingers to rub Isabelle's head before waving at Clarissa the Skorupi with a wide grin, not wanting to make the poor Pokemon feel uncomfortable by greeting her outright. She made a face at Sylvester's offer though. " Yuck, water! I'm a Flareon, not a Vapoureon!" she said, sticking her tongue out. " I'd rather change my clothes and curl up in front of a fire!" She turned, scooping up Sparks again, though she was careful to insulate the egg from her chest with the towel. She opened her mouth to deny the offer of food, not wanting to impose too much on the kind man, when her stomach grumbled loudly instead, betraying her lie before it had even left her lips. Blushing deeply, she mumbled, " Yes, if I could have something to eat, that would be lovely, thank you." OOC: ... I never want to see Terra have kids. Ever. It's not an insult to anyone, it's more that I think she's a little too scatter-brained to do a good job for anything more than an egg. Just look at her FIRST attempt to hatch the thing before I got impatient! Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 5/10

He had no intentions of hurting it, so he didn’t think she would have even thought otherwise. While the boy was getting the towels, Alexander was keeping an eye on the girl, partially to look out for her, partially to protect his property. True, it was he who "found" her, but this place was his home, and if anything was endangering it, he wouldn’t hesitate to protect it. He whined when the girl started patting him, not at all planning to jump up when there is a delicate egg around. He wouldn’t want to damage it, because he remembered the other eggs from the day-care and the Pokemon Center. Those were off limits too, and the workers only let him be near them because he was a calm dog.
With the introductions done, Sylve turned toward the hallway again. The Houndour whined when he was patted as he was introduced, but the Swablu shied away instead, and buried himself against the boy’s neck to continue drying his hair. The Torchic puffed her feathers up proudly, chirping at the guest, while the Skorupi just stayed near Sylve’s legs and tried to appear as small as possible.
"Even if you are a fire type," he turned to the girl again, "a hot bath wouldn’t be a bad thing. You were out in the storm for a long time, but if you prefer not to take one, it’s okay." He himself liked hot baths – he was usually accused of using up all the hot water in the house so his family didn’t let him shower first. "I will get you clothes then. And you guys." He turned to Alexander and patted the side of the dog’s maw. "Lead her to the heater. We don’t have a fire place ever since we have been turned to gijinka, but the heater will do just fine." Alexander barked in acknowledgement and started trotting toward the living room. Isabelle settled on his back, balancing herself while the dog was walking around. Clarissa skipped after them on the floor, occasionally looking back at the girl. Jonathan didn’t leave Sylve’s shoulder, so he went upstairs with the boy. The living room was big, and aside from the heater, there was a sofa, three armchairs around a low table and a television on one of the selves. The place in front of the heater was free, covered with a carpet.
In his room, Sylve dried himself quickly and changed into clean clothes, a pair of dark pants and t-shirt. Rummaging through his sister’s dresser, he found a pale colored shirt and a pair of joggings, good enough until the girl’s clothes would dry.
Going back down, he hoped to find everyone in the living room in front of the heater, which was already turned up for the day. He approached Terra and handed her the clothes. "These will fit you. Though my sister is a bit taller, at least the clothes won’t be small." He pointed to a door to the right. "There’s the bathroom, you can change there. I will heat up some macaroni in the meantime, if that’s okay."

Terra made a face, sticking her tongue out childishly. " I hate baths!" she whined, pouting. And she did. Even if she would take a shower, she'd always have to Ember the water heater until the metal started to turn yellow to keep it warm enough for her tastes when she would take a quick shower to wash herself, an unpleasant experience and one made even more so because of the fact that she always had huge tangles in her hair when she was done that she would spend the next hour or two trying to pull out, usually with a lot of tears and pain for her troubles, her hairbrush littered with bright red locks at the end of it. " They're never warm enough!" She cuddled Sparks close to her chest, dropping another kiss to the shell as she followed after Alexander, her hair still dripping water onto the towel in her back. She made no effort to acknowledge Clarissa, not to be rude but because she sensed that the Skorupi was still nervous about her. Instead, she just lavished attention on Isabelle, cooing over the adorable Torchic on the Houndour's back. Holding back another sneeze, not wanting to scare any of her new friends or cause marks on Sylvester's things. Upon seeing the heater, she squealed happily, running over to it. She took her towel off of her shoulders, settling it down on the carpet in front of it, humming a cheerful little song she made up on the spot. After spreading out the towel, she sat herself down in front of the heater, her legs propped up in front of her in a V-shape, straddling Sparks in a protective position that would allow the egg to get very warm very fast. She looked to the side to see Sylvester and smiled widely at him. " Thank you!" she giggled, taking the clothes and turning to Isabelle. " Will you watch Sparks for me?" she asked, her voice very serious. " I need you to keep little Sparks nice and warm and safe." She then grinned at the little Torchic, leaning down to press a quick kiss to her head before skipping off to the room Sylvester had told her was the bathroom. " Macaroni is fine!" She then peeled off her green shirt, making a face at how it resisted leaving her skin. She let out a little noise of triumph when she pulled it off, doing a little victory dance before she caught sight of herself in the mirror and groaned. Her bra was completely soaked through. Pouting, she unhooked it and shrugged. The shirt would be baggy enough, and besides, it wasn't as if it would be the end of the world to go without it. She finished changing clothes, smiling at how the fabric gave her room to wriggle, just the way she liked in her pajamas. Grinning, she skipped out of the bathroom, her wet clothes bundled in her arms. " Sylvester, where should I put my clothes?" she called, cocking her head adorably to the side. OOC: ... I did not see that coming... DX Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 6/10

Clarissa liked to blend into the backstage instead, so she was okay if the guest didn’t pay much mind to her. Sylve tried, for a while, bringing the Skorupi out to socialize, but she was way too shy o do that, and always ended up in fights instead, because that was the only self-defense she knew when another pokemon mistook her attitude as ignorance.
So when Terra handed the eggs caretaking to Isabelle, the Torchic made a serious face and nodded so enthusiastically she almost lost her balance and fell backward. Of course she will look after the egg. She jumped on the egg and settled on top of it, her weight so light it didn’t threaten it to break. She sat on it like a new-found chick-mother, even though the egg was almost the same size as her... Alexander grunted at the sight, silently laughing inwardly at the weird picture the chick pokemon and the egg made, but he also settled near them to keep an eye on both of them. Admittedly, Isabelle was a little scatter-brained sometimes, so it was best if a more responsible someone was near her. Clarissa timidly settled on one of the arm-chairs, curiously eying the egg but not intending to get closer.
Sylve headed out in another door to the kitchen near the living room, and pulled a big plate of macaroni out of the fridge. It was actually the leftover from the previous day, but it was good enough, and probably enough for both of them as well. He put it in the microwave and set its alarm, not worried that he would overheat the food this time. Since his guest was a fire type as well, it wouldn’t be the problem if the food ended up being too hot.
Hearing Terra call to him, he stepped back to the door leading to the living room. "Just put them on the table, Jonathan will handle them." As if on cue, when the Swablu saw the wet clothes he flew to the right away, grabbing the fabric with his small legs, flying back to the bathroom with them to wash and hang them there. Sylve shrugged with a small smile, looking the way the Swablu disappeared to. "He is a cleaning maniac, so to speak, so you better leave them to him, or he will get annoyed."
He turned back to the kitchen and pulled out a few sets of pokemon food as well to make mixes for his pokemon. He knew the tastes of all four he started training already, so it was easy giving them what they liked the most. A ping notified him that the macaroni was heated up and he pulled it out the microwave, getting another plate and portion the food evenly, maybe putting a bit more on Terra’s plate. Pulling forks out, going back with the two plates and setting them on the table, he already saw Alexander’s ears perk up and his head turned toward the food expectantly. "No, Alexander, it’s not yours. You have stomach ache from the sauce of the macaroni, remember?" He said to the Houndour, which of course, didn’t stop him from staring at the plates. Sylve just stood up and shook his head. "Go ahead and eat, Terra. I’ll be back, just bring food for them too. Don’t let them get a hold of the macaroni, some of the food we humans eat aren’t good for the pokemon." And with that, he headed back to the kitchen.
"You said you were kicked out from your apartment, right?" he asked from the other room. "Do you have anywhere else to go?"

Terra giggled when she saw the Torchic sitting on Sparks. " Dawwwwwww, you're so cuteeeeee," she squealed, before she coughed, remembering she had to be proper. " Thank you for taking care of Sparks, Isabelle!" she chirped cheerfully, sitting down beside the egg once more, not having the heart to relieve the little bird of her duty. Shivering at the chill of her hair, she turned so her back was to the heater, trying to dry her hair so that it would stop making her freeze. She giggled when the Swablu too her clothes. " Thank you Jonathan!" she called cheerfully to the little bird Pokemon. " I think I can handle that, Sylvester," she stated shyly, a blush coloring her cheeks as she realized she'd never been so taken care of by one of her friends. It was always the other way around, her taking care of others, rather than one of them taking care of her. It felt sort of... nice, to be honest. Between Sylvester's kindness, the sweet Pokemon around her taking care of Sparks, and the radiating warmth at her back restarting the little pocket of fire inside of her, she almost felt like she could fall asleep. Easily. She was safe here, and safe in a way she hadn't been in a very long time. " I don't really like cleaning, so I'm perfectly happy to let him handle it." A light ping made her ears perk up and, comforting warmth at her back or not, she was curious, and when Terra got curious, she would go after whatever it was she was curious about, even if she really shouldn't have. She got up, leaving Sparks in Isabelle's care again so that she would investigate. But oh no, what if Sylvester was in danger and being stalked by a gang? She'd have to take them by surprise and save her new friend! Terra would've dropped to the floor and army crawled over to the door, but well... she didn't want to get Sylvester's sister's clothes dirty. Instead, she sunk into a little crouch, padding slowly towards the door, her hands batting at the air as if to make her even lighter and quieter. She slowly peeked around the door, ready to attack anyone who dared threaten Sylvester, only to blink in surprise when she saw him pulling out some food from the microwave. Grinning, she padded in. " That looks delicious, Sylvester!" she complimented, already feeling her stomach rumbling and roiling at the smell of the food, eagerly anticipating being filled again. She padded after him eagerly, settling down at the table and, unable to resist her stomach, plowed dove into her portion the instant he said it was okay, a wide grin on her face. She paused for a moment to look at Alexander and said " No food for you!" quickly so that she wouldn't lose her nerve and went back to her food, moaning in appreciation when it touched her tongue. " I... uh... don't have anywhere else to go," she murmured awkwardly, swallowing a mouthful of her food. " My dad... doesn't really want to me around... and I don't wanna mess up his dream... so it's just me and Sparks on our own." OOC: ... MUST NOT LOSE STEAM! C'mon muse, work with me here! There's a reason why I usually start threads, I always feel like I have to match how much someone else has and feel bad when I can't. *shot* Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 7/10

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_02.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #26422A; bTable] Isabelle was comfortable on the egg, sometimes turning a bit to cover more of it, but always being careful and looking at it as if it was a really delicate object. Since that it was. Alexander was sniffing at it, but let the Torchic handle the caring, since she seemed to be rather immersed in it.
Sylve pulled out the variety of pokemon food from the cabinets and fridge to quickly mix it for his pokemon in four different plates for them. Since all of them had different tastes, he couldn’t give them the exact same food, though Isabelle and Alexander tended to have some similarity in what they liked. Since he was in the kitchen, Terra couldn’t have seen his frown, but her words saddened him quite much. So was she chased away, he wondered. He brought two of the plates back to the living room and placed it in front of the Houndour and Torchic, which they dig in instantly. Though Isabelle tried to reach the plate from on top of the egg, she decided it’s safer if she jus leans on the egg while eating, standing on the floor.
"That’s horrible... Did your father send you away?" He asked quietly, unsure if he should impose on the matter. "Isn’t there any other family member or a friend around?"
Clarissa made a little noise to pick her owner’s attention, and as Sylve looked at her, he realized she must be hungry too. He rushed back to the kitchen to pick up the remaining two plates, purring one of the table and another one in front of the arm chair for Clarissa. The Skorupi skimmed to it and started eating her portion quietly. Sylve sat on the sofa in front of the low table, but didn’t start his food yet. "Did he himself say he doesn’t want you around?" He had a hard time to believe the evil things some people could do, and he always tried to find the good in people, so when he heard about such things, he tried to understand the reasons. Or reassure others they were wrong and it would be all right.

Terra giggled when she saw how protective Isabelle was of Sparks. She knew she had made the right choice when she had asked the little chick Pokemon to look after it. Isabelle was doing a wonderful job of taking care of Sparks, just as good as if Terra was doing it herself, and that made her happy. She loved it when she found such good friends. If Isabelle had been a wild Pokemon, Terra probably would have caught her just so that she would have such a sweet friend to help her take care of Sparks. And probably all the other eggs she'd get. She'd made lots of friends with Pokemon, so she had no doubt she'd get plenty of them, especially when the Pokemon realized that she was trustworthy. She smiled widely when she saw the little Torchic hop down from the egg and peck at her food, leaning against the egg to keep it safe. Her glee, however, faded when she heard Sylvester's question, and she placed her fork on the table, looking away awkwardly. " Not really..." she sighed, looking down at her hands, wishing her hair was dry just so it would come down and curtain her face so that if she started crying, no one would have to see and get sad too. " After I accidentally burned down the house, he sent me away to live with my uncle. When my uncle died... I just sort of... never went back. To keep him safe." Her lips pressed together to hold back a whimper at the memory. She hadn't been hurt by the flames, but she felt so guilty. It was all her fault, and she would never be able to make up for that, never. " He told me it was my fault Mom died... and that Indigo didn't go through." She didn't like using her brother's name. It made her remember things she didn't want to. Instead, she closed her eyes, trying to forget the hot tears on her lips. Getting up, she grabbed her fork and her plate of macaroni, padding over to Alexander and Isabelle. She curled up next to Isabelle and Sparks, needing to feel that egg right next to her to feel better. She even paused to lean over and rest a hand on Sparks' shell, taking comfort in the solidness of the egg beneath her palm. " Anyway, what about you?" she asked, bringing her gaze up to look at the Skorupi, wondering if she could ever convince the little critter that she wouldn't hurt her. " How'd you manage to find such good friends?" OOC: ... Much better, thank ye! :D Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 8/10
