Through the rain walked a boy, his boots clicking on the pavement, hands hidden in the pockets of his jacket, hood pulled over his head. The boy was already soaked to the bone, his body shivering with a chill, but that didn’t seem to faze him as he continued to wander the streets. He’d been wandering the slums for hours now, holding no interest in returning to his home like most normal people would when it rained, fears clouding their thoughts of getting sick. No, that didn’t matter to the Zoroark gijinka one bit. If he got sick… he got sick, big deal.
Peeking around the corner of a building from a particularly dark alley, red eyes rolled over the surroundings… dirty as usual - crawling with strange and unwelcoming people who meant more harm than good and would sooner strike a drug deal than get an honest job – the scum of the city. It made the boy wrinkle his nose in disgust, despite how hypocritical it may have seemed… after all, he was one of them now. But he hadn’t always been this way. Once he was happy, with a family in a good home… but when he left, he simply couldn’t hold his head high above the water as he would have liked… so he fell. It was one thing that had always bothered him, but he made the best out of it that he could, holding the best life he could in that tiny slums apartment.
Sliding from his hiding spot, the boy continued on, avoiding people the best he could without using his illusions, steadily heading back toward his home… he didn’t want to be there, rather, he didn’t want to be anywhere, but he was starting to tire and, quite frankly, sleeping on the streets in the slums was most certainly not the brightest idea in the world.
Hoisting himself up onto a dumpster, making sure the lid was closed, the boy proceeded to use bounce to leap from the dumpster to a fire escape, then from fire escape to fire escape – the fastest way home without messing with anyone… and with a damn good birds eye view of the people below – if there was an opportunity for a good prank, damn him if he wouldn’t find it and take advantage of it. Words;; 740 Tags;; Kouhei Makoto Eggs;; - - 5/5 - - 5/5 - - 3/5 - - 3/5 Layout by Kuroya Notes;; All eggs are moved from this thread here. I'll also get them all hatched at once, so you don't have to roll em right now if you don't want. :3 *shot so hard*
Dear spelling gods: Fuck you too. Signed, me.
Also, I'm aware that the Doduo's a bit confusing. :'D Basically, referring to the whole Doduo is Hydra, but the individual heads have names too. The gentler one is called Ni, while the dominant and more aggressive head is called Ichi. Hopefully that makes better sense. :'D
Also, I'd just like to say that I loved your first sentence :'D It's so pretty, I can't even.... *dies*
Everett smiled as he pressed up on his toes a little to knock at a door. He waited patiently for the barrier to be opened by a grumpy-looking old lady, who glared at him so harshly that it almost made him regret having to do this, but he plowed onward anyway. "I have a package for you, Miss," he murmured quietly, digging around in his messenger bag until he managed to pull out the correct one, bowing a little as he brought it out to present it. She didn't thank him when she took it from him - people rarely did - but he was pretty sure that she didn't slam the door as hard as she could have once he'd passed off his burden. A shy little smile tugging at his lips, the Seviper Gijinka turned around to look at his two companions for the moment, a Doduo who was standing just a ways behind him with a small oddly-pale Torchic perched on its back, the two bird Pokemon almost seeming to be discussing something quietly, though they halted their conversation almost as soon as they realized his eyes were on them, the Fire-type even hopping off of Hydra in order to dart over and then hop up onto his Trainer's shoulder, face screwed up in distaste as he snuggled close to the Gijinka, almost as if to hide from the rain that was gently pattering down in a light drizzle that had accompanied the group throughout their deliveries today. His grin was tugged just a little wider as he reached up to stroke the Torchic's head softly, glad the usually mischievous Pokemon had decided to behave himself and try to keep him company on his route today, a route that he'd actually taken from one of the other couriers who had instead called in reporting that she had the flu and couldn't work that day. He didn't mind covering for someone sick though, he loved being able to meet new people around Aether, and besides, if he worked a little harder, maybe he'd be able to get a little more money so that he could pay his uncle and his brother back for saving his life.
His face fell at the reminder of how he'd failed his family, and he looked down, smile having faded from his lips as he focused his blue eyes on the ground. Why couldn't he have been stronger, faster, better at hiding his sickness? He hadn't wanted his uncle and his brother to give up everything for him, hadn't wanted his brother to sell himself to Epispect to save him. He had accepted that he would die and be with their parents again, and then... everything had gone wrong. He was snapped out of his thoughts by a gentle nudge from the side, blinking and turning surprised eyes onto Hydra, the Doduo looking at him with a compassionate look in the eyes of both heads, though it was obvious that the gentler one, Ni, had been the one to nudge his Trainer. "I'm being foolish, aren't I?" the boy asked, a sheepish smile on his face as he ruffled the downy soft feathers of his companion as Ichi, the dominant head, chirped an agreement. "C'mon then, I guess we should try to find our last recipient of the day?"
"Chic tor tor!" Scylla agreed, the little Torchic bouncing as they started walking, the raindrops pattering off the Gijinka's umbrella when they started outside; even though it might be raining a little harder, the umbrella held up well enough under the new pressure. Or at least, it did until a stray branch caught on the edge of it and ripped it clean through. "Oh no!" Everett cried, quickly bringing a hand up to try to shield his Torchic a little from the rain. Biting his lip, he ducked under the cover of a large tree, settling near the trunk as he tried to figure out what to do now that his device to help keep his two Fire-types - Scylla and Apollo, who had gone in his Pokemon grumpily when his Trainer had scolded him for getting angry over the little Kindlen bristling up at the first door to be slammed in his Trainer's face, a fairly normal occurrence while he was out delivering - dry and away from most of the wet that would be pouring down from the heavens and onto them.

The thought alone brought a scowl to his face with an unamused growl. It was nights like these where he needed it the most, the unwelcomed feelings of darkness ebbing away at his heart. Landing on the rail of a fire escape, his gloved hands gripping the metal below him as he allowed his eyes to scan the surroundings, Kou felt his heart sink lower. "Nights like this are no fun... not like anyone will melt..."
Swinging his legs around, the boy dropped them over the side of the railing, taking a seat on the corner, huffing. There was no point in heading inside now, not a single inch of the boy dry - bangs clung to the sides of his face, droplets streaking down his cheeks. Pulling his hood further over his head as if it would help, Kouhei narrowed his eyes at the sight of a shadow moving below. Tilting his head, the poor person who's shadowed figure he'd seen becoming the object of his pranking desires... his eyes focusing on them, the corner of his lips turning upward in a predatory smirk. Pushing himself up, the boy made quick and quiet movements, staying high above the being who walked below, his mind racing to formulate a plan...
... and it came all too easily.
Falling from the rooftops to the trees as he continued to stalk the boy, swiftly moving through their branches, he knew exactly what he would do to make this poor human scream... and he would enjoy every moment of it. Red eyes began to glow as he placed the first stages of his plan into motion, the thunder of the storm above only egging him on. It wouldn't be long before the boy, who huddled now under a tree for some sort of protection from the rain, to hear growling... and as he moved, he made sure to start snapping twigs in the trees - he wanted the boy below to know something was following him. He wanted the boy to get those uneasy goosebump... those sickly chills of fear. He wanted the boy to scream bloody murder when he made himself known.
It's not like he would hurt the boy... he just wanted a little bit of fun, no harm in that, right?
Waiting only a few moments, allowing the boy that only to settle into a false sense of security as things quieted, Kouhei's smirk quickly turned into a devious smile. Eyes flashed once more as he placed the illusion over himself of a Raikou, quickly using a Night Slash to break the branch below him with a loud crack, kicking it with a foot to land before the boy before dropping from the tree, landing just behind the branch. But instead of him... the boy would only see a snarling Raikou, the pokemon digging it's claws into the ground below, maw parting in a loud roar as thunder cracked above, the boy behind the illusion snickering - this would be all too good. So much pretty Ryuu post <3 I hope my reply can live up to even half of what that was, orz Also, Ever wants to protect his Torchic from the big bad Raikou <3
Everett fussed with the plastic tarp of his ripped umbrella, trying to figure out a way to make it behave so that he could prop it up over something and keep Scylla from getting soaked. He tried his very best to ignore the rain coming down around him, the wetness that poured down from the heavens - he still remembered the days when he used to not like rain and thunder, hiding in his mother's arms as she shushed him gently and told him that he had nothing to fear from rain since it was only the tears of the beautiful that watched over the world and the thunder merely the sound of the music that accompanied the funeral they were holding, but then his parents had passed away and he found the whole idea not just painful but unbearably so with the unwelcome reminders - and the rain dripped down through the maze of sieves of the tree's branches and leaves, occasionally overflowing to dump some water on his head, where it clung to the short black spikes that he had there. A large part of him wished he could be home huddled under his blankets, perhaps with a certain Jolteon Gijinka who had saved his life, but alas, he still had that single package to deliver today before he could go home, so he was stuck. Hydra's fluffy light brown feathers were soaked clean through, turning them an ugly color similar to mud, but the Doduo didn't seem to mind too much, waiting for his Trainer to get on with this so that he could go home and dry off in front of the heater in the Seviper Gijinka's apartment.
Scylla, on the other hand, seemed in far worse shape. The pale gray Torchic was huddled up on Hydra's back and shivering, the Fire-type managing to look quite thoroughly miserable without really trying. "I'm sorry Scylla, I'm doing the best I can," he murmured, a low hiss of frustration coloring his tone. Eyes widening as an idea came to him, he darted over to Hydra, fussing around with the Doduo even as the two heads tried to look around and see what he was doing as he settled the tines of the broken umbrella around their sides before impaling a square of the tarp onto the ends, creating a little dry pavilion on the bird's back for the Torchic to rest on. He had been so engrossed in his task that he hadn't even really noticed the sounds of growling and branches snapping nearby, but now that he had gotten Scylla taken care of, he found himself shivering at the sound.
"C'mon guys, let's g-g-get out of here, I don't really wanna p-p-piss something off," he stuttered, the words being broken by an occasional shiver as the cold started getting to him, but even if the stutter wasn't fear, there was still a detectable hint of unease in his voice through its wavering quality as it dared break the silence of the falling raindrops. He turned to lift Scylla up off the root the little Fire-type had been displaced to while his Trainer had worked, intending to slip the little guy under as they were walking, but then a loud smashing sound broke the silence and a huge branch fell in front of him, the action making a little abbreviated scream escape him in the surprise and fright. And then he saw the snarling Raikou and the blood drained from his face even as a strangled, fearful hiss escaped his throat. Scylla, wanting to protect his Trainer, hopped free from Everett's arms with a little war cry before starting to fluff up in preparation for an Overheat attack. The move was never used, however, since his Trainer let out a soft little cry like a wounded bird and snatched him up again, arms wrapping tighter than before in his fear as his mind tried to cling tightly to whatever form of comfort and protection he could get in face of an angry legendary dog.

And with the little scream, that smirk on the raven haired boy's face only grew... and it shined through the illusion, forming on the maw of the Raikou with an amused growl. Red eyes followed the tiny Torchic as it hopped down, releasing a little war cry of it's own... and Kou knew what was, most likely, coming his way. Tongue peaking out to run over the Raikou's upper lip, the beast opened his own maw to release a deafening roar, mimicking the thunder above that put the tiny Torchic's cry to shame, the ground shaking around them as claws dug in, blue sparks running over yellow fur.
And it was then, that Kouhei realized that this wasn't enough to truly satisfy the claws that tore at his feelings.
Rolling his shoulders, the illusion doing the same, Kou reached to the belt under his shirt and pulled from it two pokeballs, releasing them one by one with a flash. To his left, he summoned a Shinx... who appeared anything but to the boy standing before them. Instead of a tiny blue kitten, a tall, blue canine stood - a Suicune - mane flowing behind it with a soft growl, returning a knowing glance to the Raikou who stood before it. And to his right, a chuckling Gastly, it's ghostly form covered by the red, inferno furred Entei, fangs bared with a rumbling growl. If one wasn't bad enough... three would certainly do it, and it brought a chuckle to Kou.
Looking back to the trembling boy before him, the color drained from his already pale face, clinging rather pathetically to the tiny and rather angry Torchic, Kou stepped forward, the Raikou doing the same - each paw-fall sending a spray of sparks from its claws. Stepping mere feet before Ever, Kouhei brought himself to crouch before him, hands touching the damp ground as the Raikou dug it's claws deep into the ground, lowering it's head and shoulders as they rolled, every muscle in it's being tensing with hind end rising into the air like a cat who was about to pounce it's prey. Even the electric type's eyes gained that mischievous glint as he released another roar, hind legs pushing him forward to leap at Ever and the tree that stood behind him, the two other 'canines' behind him slowly begging to circle them... waiting for Kouhei to play his game. Words;; 501 Tags;; Kouhei Makoto Eggs;; - - 5/5 - - 5/5 - - 5/5 - - 4=5/5 Layout by Kuroya Notes;; All eggs are moved from this thread here.
Just in case I haven't mentioned it, I'm just going to say it again: Ichi and Ni are actually not new Pokemon or even two separate ones. They're actually the names of the Doduo's two heads. The whole Doduo is named Hydra. Sorry for the confusion.
Also Ever is scared and wants for his big brother or Levi to come save him. That is all. *slaughtered*
Everett's whole body was trembling as he clutched his tiny Torchic close to him in fright, terrified that he had done something wrong to piss off the great legendary dog that now stood before him, and he ducked his head with his eyes squeezing shut in fear as the beast roared loudly in front of him, mimicking the sound of the thunder that used to petrify him as a child until he'd started crawling in to sleep with his big brother at night. Immediately, he felt a pang for his older brother - he would have known what to do to cause the Legendary Pokemon before him to calm down. He felt the gentle fluff of Scylla's gray feathers as the little Torchic rubbed his head against his Trainer's cheek, but when the Seviper Gijinka managed to find the courage to look up, what little color remained in his face quickly drained away again and the strangled sound of his frightened hiss died away as he found his throat suddenly too dry to even utter that instinctive sound, fear making his arms constrict more around the little chick he was clutching to his chest as if he was a young child trying to protect himself from the threat of monsters with a little stuffed toy. But this was different; the Seviper Gijinka was older now, and these were no make-believe monsters hiding in the closet or under the bed. They were very much real, and the fact just made him want to cry out of the fear and terror. All three of the great legendary dogs were before him, and they all looked pretty pissed about him.
He let out a little whimper of fear, burying his face in Scylla's feathers again as the Torchic too began to tremble with a sense of fear at the recognition that it wouldn't be easy for him to just fluff his little feathers up and demand that they leave his Trainer alone. The Torchic sent a pleading glance over his shoulder at the other Pokemon that was accompanying him, finding Ichi and Ni squabbling over how they were going to protect their Trainer. Seeing as Hydra was of no help, he puffed up and concentrated, trying to replace his body with a Substitute doll in his Trainer's arms, but before he could start to gather up the energy he needed to do it, he was frozen with shock. Everett watched in mute horror as the large legendary dog of thunder began to sink down into what could only be described as a hunter's crouch, a little whimper escaping his throat out of fear. And then the canine leapt forward, aiming right for him, and the boy let out a little scream, squeezing his eyes shut and hiding his face, not wanting to watch the way he died. He was petrified with fear, and it was all he could do to pray to whatever deity might listen for someone to come along and save him.
