He would be happy to engage in whatever combat this man would bring to the table, however thus far he had shown very little evidence as to whether or not this man was 100% human or if the DNA of another specimen was in him. For some, it was very odd traits that made them different from others, even if humans, too, sometimes were outfitted with these unique attributes. However, this man looked like some sort of foreigner is all. His blond hair and blue eyes, they were anything but innocent to Dono. However, they weren't tainted. Dono's eyes typically reflected the color of red, which, to the more "jump-to-conclusions" types, was enough to conclude that a part of him was a bit more indecent than human. A pokemon, and seeing as how red eyes has been connected with demons and evil, many assumed that he was something crazy and powerful. His behavior didn't help this at all. This man was quite an interesting test subject. If only he had the equipment necessary to approach this man without danger. All that Dono carried with him, that would have been any help, was a combat knife that he had found through his endeavors to the (for lack of a better term) bowels of this hell hole. Even so, he had no training with this weapon. Holding a equal strength woman at knifepoint was about as much as he could do, and he had yet to try the charm of a blade on younger people. At any rate, Dono wouldn't draw his blade in this situation. It would be unecessary, for at this point it was not his objective to even fight this man. It would be too easily won, surely. Even with an extention of the arm such as small blade, this guy was still probably capable of taking Dono on, and if this man was concealing his Pokemon traits, than that would only make the outcome worse. "...Hm?" Dono's fingers stopped tapping the table, as his gaze moved gracefully from the wood table to the man. In the game of enigma, Dono was not used to losing. He told himself that he was mature enough to handle loses, that he didn't even mind losing. The truth within this is questionable, however the enigma on the other side of this confrontation was shrouded in a cloak unlike any other. Dono had received very little information most of the time, however he often got a name... he often gained bits and pieces of their history... sometimes he would learn whether or not someone had a Pokemon's DNA and what Pokemon the DNA belonged to. With this guy, all he was learning was minor personality flaws. The main one: "He hates annoyances, but I admire his attempts at concealing this." "What kind of DNA do ya' have in you, sir? Or are you really just a fearless human, a stupid human? I've been at this far too long, and I must point out that your confidence in yourself to stand up to me is quite... unique. Did you see through my ruse from the beginning, or are you aware of your self defense capabilities?" Dono pulled out his diary from his jacket once more, opening it to the middle where a yellow tab had been sticking out. The words were written: There is a fine line between Gijinka and humans, and I'm not the only one with this knowledge. The only similarity between the two is that they share the same flaws... most of them regarding their intelligence and false sense of superiority. After silently reading this, his eyes rose to Magnus, having turned in his chair to look at the man.[/style] [style=background-color: #333333; font-family: ms gothic; font-size: 10px; color: #C5C5C5; text-align: center; letter-spacing: 2px;]WORD COUNT 647 • FOR MAGNUS • MADE BY SCOTT OF ON THE EDGE[/style] |

No more dreaming of the dead As if death itself was undone Why oh why was he still humouring this kid? Magnus was practically scowling in distaste now, hoping Dono would just walk away and he’d not hear from him again. He was annoying as hell and he just kept coming back with snide comments and snippy remarks. He didn’t appreciate any of it, and he was on the threshold of simply lashing out, breaking his nose and then leaving. It was his usual method of doing things; either get rid of it entirely, or scare it enough to keep it away from you. It had worked fine in the past and it was likely to work again, if he knew anything about it. Again, he definitely didn’t like the way he was being observed. Dono continued to stare, tapping his nails against the table and sweeping his gaze towards him in a way he definitely didn’t like. Magnus refused to be a victim. Period. He wasn’t going to sit around while others observed him, and he wasn’t going to let everything slide right off just because it didn’t touch him physically. He was a man of action and a man of his word, and being raised in a military family had certainly helped. ”None of this is your business.” His words were no longer cool and polite, but harsh and the tone meant to cut him to the quick. He straightened himself out again, squaring up his shoulders as he was no longer relaxed, and staring Dono down as if it were a contest. ”Yes, I am very confident in my abilities. Any more questions?”No more calling like a crow For a boy, for a body in the garden

[style=background-color: #333333; font-family: georgia; font-size: 17px; color: #C5C5C5; text-align: center; letter-spacing: 2px;]HEY, MAYBE I CAN BREAK YOUR HEART SMASH IT UNDER MY HEEL AND WATCH IT FADE TO DUST

His eyes seemed gentle, however when his stare met Dono's, it seemed to sever its benevolent tone and become a harsh stare. Even if the eyes were intimidating from the beginning, they seemed to be calmed until now. Dono felt weaker than the man and completely outmatched. The childish look of Dono could not stand up to the stern face of his opposition. As Magnus spoke, his voice shattered the momentarily lingering silence, his voice was no longer sailing smoothly through the air... no longer were the words disguised in a cloak of polite tone. Instead, they matched the true nature of the man speaking them. It was a scary thought, that this man was truthfully angry and was capable of destroying Dono. He had height on him, and his entire appearance was quite intimidating. Needless to say, the option of just letting the man walking away was very tempting to him. Perhaps as long as Dono didn't touch him he wouldn't do anything. It was a chance to take, and thinking about it inside Dono's mind was much easier than taking the initiative to actually continue trying to get answers from him. Dono's eyes shifted uneasily around the room, looking at anything but the face of Magnus at this point. Dono's eyes went back down to the book, where he read some of the other words on the page. "Approaching Gijinka is not a good idea, most of the time anyway. They have abnormal skill in combat, but some Gijinka are unfortanute enough to have weaker DNA within them. Depending on the person, many will conceal their abilities until it is completely necessary. Other times, they show this power off gleefully." Shutting the diary silently, Dono's eyes moved up to Magnus' eyes. Forcing a voice from his mouth, he spoke, "Demonstrate for me. I'm clearly annoying you, but I see no reason to leave you alone if you are just a human. If you really want me to leave you alone, just show me what you can do." That was easier than Dono thought, however he wasn't sure if it would actually be effective. The man's appearance really didn't give away any sort of... Gijinka aura. He seemed a normal human being, and Dono would love to see what he could really do, if he really did have anything to share.
