WILD MAGNEMITE APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Magnemite || Genderless || Sturdy || Electric/Steel || Level 7 Metal Sound || Tackle || ThunderShock The Magnemite watched carefully as the Seviper gijinka drew near, pokéball in hand. So that was what one of those devices humans used to carry his kind around looked like! The steel-type had heard rumors from other Pokémon from time to time about what exactly was inside one of those dual-colored spheres, with such theories as a dark, timeless abyss and a cold, featureless prison commonplace, but it was inclined to take every hypothesis with a grain of salt - so to speak, since Magnemite were not physically capable of ingesting what humans and other types of Pokémon considered food. The last thing the Magnemite had time to think of as the ball gently tapped its off-colored skin and opened up with a haze of red light was how absolutely fascinating this experience would surely turn out to be.
MAGNEMITE WAS CAPTURED!
WILD LICKITUNG APPEARED! [/style] Lickitung || Male || Own Tempo || Normal || Level 6 Lick || Supersonic Now, it was a fact of the Pokémon world that all species, types, and evolutionary stages had somewhat different grades of intelligence from one another, and just how knowledgeable or idiotic a particular creature might be was even more varied. The Magnemite from just moments ago, for example, considered itself an intellectual of a fashion and was fairly capable of understanding human speech in at least one language, making it one of the cave’s more intelligent denizens. Weather Magnus decided to keep it permanently or not, it was sure to prove a useful team member or even research assistant to somebody someday. Too bad that the other Pokémon plodding down this length of cave tunnel was exactly the opposite.
It was not like the Lickitung tried to be dumb; actually, for one of its species, this one was pretty average in intelligence...which meant that while he was able to think faster than a Slowpoke and could match wits with the sharpest Quagsires, he was one of the lower mons on the intellectual totem pole. Not that he could help it - his brain was devoted mostly to categorizing and recognizing tastes, and he was content to spend his days wandering around his home licking everything in sight in order to memorize every taste possible. In a way, he was using his brain for what he thought was important, as opposed to what humans or other Pokémon species might. Still, the fact remained that he looked like a dopey thing, his big pink body and equally pink tongue bouncing as he made his way through the earthen caverns, looking for something new he had not tasted yet.
Slowly, he rounded a bend in the cave’s path and strolled down one of the side tunnels idly, not really caring where he went. So far, the dirt in this area tasted just the same as the dirt everywhere else, and he was getting bored of it. But - he strained his memory to remember - but he thought that this might be someplace new, some place he hadn’t tasted yet. Sure enough, the soil and rock beneath his feet took on a slightly sharper, tangier taste, and he soon came to the source: a faintly glowing rock in the path. Not realizing that a human was standing close by, the pink Pokémon walked right up to the stone, giving it an enthusiastic Lick to memorize its taste. It was definitely different from everything else here, but not enough to hold the normal-type’s interest for more than a few seconds.
Sighing around his massive tongue, the Lickitung turned to leave and bumped right into something solid - less solid than the cave walls, but something that tasted something like sweat and cloth and faintly of blood. Stumbling backwards, the Lickitung finally recognized that Magnus was standing there, and blinked in curiosity. He knew this creature should be familiar, but there was something about that brief taste when they collided that was kind of off to him. Too curious for his own good, the beady-eyed Pokémon extended his bizarrely long tongue and gave the Seviper gijinka a good, proper lick - and immediately recoiled at the taste, eyes scrunching shut and tongue flailing. Yes, the blond had the base taste of a human, but there was indeed something wrong with it, something even worse than the lingering blood that made him taste harsh and vile to the Lickitung’s sensitive taste buds, similar to how some poison-types’ skin would. How gross!

And in the spring, I shed my skin And it blows away with the changing wind Magnus sighed as he picked up the ball once it stopped shaking, holding it in one hand and trying to figure out what to do with it. He’d probably go to his scientist friend and get it tested out, and then try and see what else he could do with the strangely coloured Magnemite. Perhaps try and sell it, because he didn’t know what he could do if he kept it. He’d keep his promise to figure out what was wrong with it however, and that would be that. Slipping the ball into his pocket, Magnus turned on his heels to see… a big, pink Pokemon with a tongue longer than twice its height. He watched the thing, identifying it in his head and finding it of little interest. He was thinking of just moving along and leaving the thing be when the Lickitung waddled right up to him… and licked him right on the leg. The blond grimaced and toed the Lickitung aside, not wanting to hurt it, but not wanting to get its slobber all over him either. Deciding that he didn’t want to stay in a single place much longer, especially since he wasn’t quite enjoying the rock that sat ominously in the middle of the room, he saddled around the pink Pokemon and began to head the way he came. {Skip the Lickitung}The water turns from blue to red As towards the sky I offer it

WILD LICKITUNG APPEARED! [/style] Lickitung || Male || Own Tempo || Normal || Level 6 Lick || Supersonic The Lickitung barely noticed Magnus toeing him away from his person - his eyes were still squeezed shut, much like a small child might at the taste of their least favorite food. So he just rolled with the toeing, flopping to the side easily and with quite a bit of relief when his tongue met the ground once more. Ah, maybe he had been too hasty to want to taste something new, especially when it had tasted so gross. No offense to the whatever-it-was. At least the ground had a familiar earthy taste, and one that helped to lessen the other lingering on his sensitive tongue. So the pink Pokémon sat there, licking at the ground contentedly, and showed positively no interest in following Magnus on his wanderings.
LICKITIUNG WAS SKIPPED!
WILD MAGMAR APPEARED! [/style] Magmar || Male || Flame Body || Fire || Level 5 Smog || Ember || Leer A single Pokémon’s shiver sent flickering firelight dancing and reflecting off the cave’s walls as a Magmar trudged through the underground system, rubbing his arms with sharp-clawed hands in hopes of warming up. Odd that a fire-type such as himself could feel cold, but that was a trait Magmar seemed to share: cooler climates chilled them, and only by bringing their inner fire outside to the world around them could they warm up adequately. Much to the dismay of the Magmar in question, the caves here were a lot colder than he anticipated when first venturing into them in search of an open, magma-filled area to live in. Obviously, his search turned up nothing, and now he was lost in here without a clue how to get out. All he knew was that it was miserable in here, downright miserable.
He stepped into a cold puddle and shivered again, the flames on his body rippling once more before he sneezed a jet of bright red and gold flames into the air. So cold! Ah, but maybe he could afford to heat up the air around him just a little? Using up all his energy for fighting could be dangerous, but if he was just going to be grumpy and cold otherwise, what could it hurt? The Magmar inhaled a deep breath, then spewed out another, larger Ember into the air, enjoying the sudden warmth it brought with it, and repeated the action once the heat from the first died down. Yes, that was much better. True it only lasted for a few seconds at a time, but Ember really did not take too much energy at all, and it kept the surrounding air comfortable.
Unfortunately, the fire-type was not being too careful where he was launching these Ember attacks, or keeping an eye out for other passers-by, and it was quite possible that anyone stumbling on the creature might receive a sudden and unintentional Ember attack to the face...particularly cave-wandering Seviper gijinka.

And in the spring, I shed my skin And it blows away with the changing wind The temperature in the gave was on a steady decline, and his snake DNA hated every bit of it. He knew that other than comfort, it did nothing to seriously effect him… and yet he wanted to avoid colder areas at most costs, and he loved curling up to something warm whenever he could. The caves were beginning to make him feel horribly uncomfortable, and he turned down another tunnel in hopes of it leading back to the surface. It was then that he began to feel bursts of faint warmth coming from around a corner. The hairs on his arms prickled as the instincts in his head told him he shouldn’t head towards it… but at the same time, it was a source of warmth. His jaw tightened a fraction as he paused in mid step, weighing his choices before his more human side took over and told him to turn the other way. He did just so, saddling almost sideways down a narrower path that lead to an opening in the caves. {Skip the Magmar}The water turns from blue to red As towards the sky I offer it

WILD MAGMAR APPEARED! [/style] Magmar || Male || Flame Body || Fire || Level 5 Smog || Ember || Leer For just a moment, the Magmar thought he heard something; footsteps, maybe, perhaps something wandering down one of the nearby tunnel forks. The duck-billed Pokémon stopped for a moment, tilting his head in the darkness, wondering what it could be. Should he go investigate? He considered it for a moment, but in the end, it hardly seemed worth it to go through the trouble. In the end he simply shrugged the mild curiosity off and kept on his way, blowing Embers into the air as he continued to search for an unguarded exit of some kind. Surely there had to be a way out of here somewhere.
MAGMAR WAS EVADED!
WILD KECLEON APPEARED! [/style] Kecleon|| Male || Color Change || Normal || Level 10 Thief || Tail Whip || Astonish || Lick || Scratch || Bind || Faint Attack || Fury Swipes Through the narrower path there was indeed a more open portion of the caves, its floor littered with odds and ends that varied from dead batteries and bits of scrap metal to wallets, flashlights, and empty food cans. Here, a knife with a chipped blade jutted rested on top of a rock, possibly abandoned, and there, a pile of faded blankets nested against one of the room’s clammy walls. It resembled an old camp site close enough, but closer inspection would reveal no traces of humans passing through but the junk. Instead, there were several trails of small, three-toed footprints, and what might first appear to be just another rock would instead reveal to a more discerning eye its true form: a heap of small Pokémon bones. Sure indicators that a Pokémon of some sort dwelled here, but what?
Something shifted in the shadows at Magnus’s arrival, invisible but for a single red zigzag that more or less blended with the wall in the gloom. Yet while the Kecleon could hide from sight, he could see Magnus plain as day as the Seviper gijinka stepped into his domain, his reptilian eyes used to the cave environment. So there was someone intruding on his beloved home? How strange. The infrequent patrols those idiots at the cave’s mouth organized to ensure that the cave was free of human trespassers rarely even noticed this particular stem of the cave, incompetent and lazy as they were. Occasionally, one might peer through the entrance with a flashlight but they never gave his little makeshift camp more than a passing glance. Which was a good thing considering that the majority of the junk he had managed to appropriate for his own uses came directly from them. Really, they were pretty dense if a lone Kecleon could rob ‘em blind. Speaking of which, he wondered if this guy had anything on him of value?
Cautiously, the reptilian Pokémon began to tail the human, trying to get a better look at what possessions the man carried with him. Pokémon and pokéballs were no good, as he doubted that a trainer would carry around something conveniently half-dead and tasty. If he did find something interesting though, it was sure to be his. He was, after all, a skilled and well-practiced thief, and always on the lookout for either an easy meal or trinkets to add to his junk hoard. So long as the man did not notice his footsteps, or somehow spy his stripe in the darkness, he would be juuust fine.

And in the spring, I shed my skin And it blows away with the changing wind Magnus blinked into the dim light of the cave, making out faint silhouettes until his eyes could adjust to the darker environment… and when it did, surprise would’ve been an understatement. He felt like he’d just stumbled upon a hoard for some cave dwelling Pokemon, which he’d only later realize was correct. There were piles upon piles of just ‘stuff’ sitting around in heaps; pieces of cloth, an ominous pile of bones that looked much too small to be human, but was chilling anyway, among other things. The German felt a shiver run up his arms, making his hairs stand on end. His training told him to get out, but it wasn’t like he could fall back between that crack in the wall so quickly… and there was something else on the other side, anyway. He furrowed his eyebrows, his lips pressing into a thin line, and waited. But nothing came for a while. He seriously would’ve thought it was his mind making things up had his training not been so complete; so dead set on finding things wrong in an environment that everything could go wrong. But, despite being human with a healthy dose of seviper DNA, he still wasn’t adept to searching in the dark, though he knew of someone that was. Taking a Pokeball from his belt, he released Berlin the Cubchoo. Magnus must’ve looked absolutely ridiculous with such a fuzzy, adorable little bear in tow, but there was something about nostalgia that kept the little thing around. The Cubchoo himself peered into the dark, more adept to seeing in dim light than his master was, and to him, the red stripe stood out as clear as day. ”Cub… choo…” The little bear growled his most ferocious big-bear growl, but came up with little. Without instruction from his master, eager to be getting into his first real fight, the little bear set loose two waves of powder snow at the chameleon. WILD KECLEON APPEARED! [/style] Kecleon|| Male || Color Change || Normal (Color Change: Ice)|| Level 10 Thief || Tail Whip || Astonish || Lick || Scratch || Bind || Faint Attack || Fury Swipes The Kecleon barely had time to think when the blond human sent out a small bear-like Pokémon, as the creature’s keener vision caught on to him where his trainer could not. The Cubchoo growled, trying to sound ferocious in the face of his enemy, though he ended up sounding more cute than threatening. Obviously, the Kecleon’s cover was already blown. In a huff, he dropped the camouflage entirely - just in time for the first of the two successive powder snows to hit him square in the face. The blast of frigid air and snow sent the chameleon stumbling back a few steps as the ice attack burned his skin, but by the time the other hit its target the pain died down considerably, once his Color Change ability took effect and his type changed from normal to ice.
Now resistant to the Cubchoo’s attack, he shrugged the following strike off easily, eyes narrowing in the face of the second powder snow at his opponent. Would he stand and fight? Or retreat? No, this was his home, full of things he stole fair and square, and this human and his pet were trespassing on it. Why should he have to flee the scene? No, he would defend his camp, and no little bear was going to stop him!
With that, the Kecleon charged at the Cubchoo - only to vanish at the last second. But this was no trick of his natural camouflage this time; it was a faint attack, and barely had the lizard disappeared when he reappeared behind the smaller Pokémon, striking at it with a fierce kick as he came back into view. Then, without pausing to retreat, he lashed out at the ice-type’s face with a scratch, hoping that it would be too off-balance from the faint attack to dodge.
