He couldn’t help his curiosity and trying to figure the reasons out, but that still didn’t make him be less at fault. He was staying quiet for a while as she was talking, and only murmured his answers quietly.
"So that’s why... You were so happy when you saw I wasn’t hurt by your flames. Now I see why." He nodded in understanding, finally seeing the reasons. He had problems with his own flames too, though in an entirely different level, as he wasn’t prone to breathe fire accidentally, but summon Will-O-Wisps out of nowhere. Instead of catching things on fire, he would burn people, but so far, his family was more understanding – probably due to the fact they forced him to take on the DNA themselves, against his better judgment. And they paid a heavy price too...
"I’m sure it wasn’t your fault." He said, convinced of his right. "People usually need to blame someone, but their anger is misdirected. Whoever told you that, was only seeking someone to blame, but I’m sure it wasn’t your fault." He repeated, reassuring the girl though not knowing all the details. He figured she wouldn’t feel like sharing either. "Indigo?" He couldn’t help but ask, the name wasn’t familiar, but he was sure the person was close to her, if she was calling it out like that.
Sylve tensed for a moment when the girl asked about him, but relaxed when she directed the conversation toward his pokemon. "Oh, these guys?" He looked at the party with an endearing smile. In the meantime, Jonathan seemed to finish washing Terra’s clothes and returned, noticing the food and settling at his plate on the table, didn’t even glancing at the macaroni. He didn’t like eating human food, unlike Alexander. Clarissa finished off her own plate already, as her portion was usually a bit smaller than the others’ – she was eating less than anyone, and Sylve measured her portion accordingly too. She skittered over to Sylve on the couch, and leaned her side against his thigh comfortably. "I work part time at the Pokemon Center, and they ended up there for one reason or another. Abandoned, abused, injured fatally... These guys are all survivors who were once mistreated, and when the nurses were trying to find them new home, I offered to help. I was only supposed to make them more friendly and trusting again, but they somehow ended up getting too attached, and wanted to stay here." He explained the reasons, leaning a hand on the Skorupi’s head gently.
"And you?" He directed the conversation back to her. "How did you get Sparks?"

Feeling a little down, Terra nibbled half-heartedly at her macaroni, putting small amounts of it on her fork and taking even smaller bites, her stomach next to empty but her appetite ruined with the thought of her brother. A large part of her just wanted to give Alexander the rest of her food, but Sylvester had told her that human food didn't always agree with Pokemon, so she wouldn't give him any of her food so that she didn't make him sick. Instead, she forced herself to swallow even though it tasted horrible now, flavored with the dislike of death, and she could barely manage to contract her throat, her muscles working only on subconscious command to send the food slowly down into her stomach, where the acid would eat away at it regardless of whether her mind was mixing the taste of the macaroni with the notion of death or not. She put the fork down on the plate with a soft clink when the metal met the ceramic, still balancing the the thing on her lap as she reached over and began lightly petting Isabelle's head again with two fingers. " Yeah... I don't like hurting people, and I tend to do it when I sneeze... or forget to be careful." She gave a sheepish smile she didn't really feel up to. " And it was my fault. I was supposed to stay with him to make sure it all worked out... And he died. He died in my arms and all I could do was watch..." Her breath hitched in her throat and tears threatened to fall again. " And then... I couldn't even keep him safe from them... They took him from me and tore him up to get that blood back..." She brought her hands up to cover her face, trying to muffle a sob. " And worst of all... I didn't even get a chance to say good-bye." Setting the plate down on the floor, she leaned over and scooped up Sparks, hugging the egg to her chest. She needed to hold the egg close to her chest, and she pulled her legs up to her chest, her entire body curled around Sparks, tucking it into her. She wished Sparks would hatch and hatch now. If Sparks was hatched, the little Eevee would be able to lick away her tears and make her feel better. Just the thought made her feel a little bit better, though she was still not her usual cheerful self. " Sparks... isn't even originally mine. Sparks belonged to my uncle's Nidorina, but the Nidorina didn't lay it either. She was always the kind of Pokemon that wanted to have an egg, so when she came out of nowhere with an egg, my uncle put a lot of effort into trying to find someone to take care of it. He knew that she wouldn't just take an egg away from a Pokemon who wanted it, so when no one wanted the little egg, he let her have it. When she passed, a week before he did... he left me in charge of Sparks since I'm a Flareon." She gave a forlorn, aching little smile. " And now we've gone full circle." OOC: ... I had no idea how I wrote that much. I started it with "... I'm gonna feel bad again" and ended up with a good long one. -_-" Team- Eevee egg (Sparks): 9/10
