Growl || Bide || Quick Attack Her attack was downright disappointing, having little power behind it at all. The little squirrel chittered angrily and tried to lunge again, only to be shoved back into the human’s lap as if she were unimportant. She flailed her little paws around angrily before realizing that of course, she wasn’t going to get out of this easy. No, not at all…
Her bushy tail flicked from side to side as the white and blue squirrel pouted, crossing her little arms in front of her and tapping her foot in deep meditation. Now how was she supposed to get away from this human? He was rather troublesome, keeping her in his lap like that. She growled lowly, angrily, before finally coming up with a better idea. Her tail twitched again, and if the human looked down at her… well, he’d be met with the biggest, teariest eyes an adorable little squirrel could muster.

The pachirisu calmed down finally, Raven sighing in relief. Was everything in this alley insane? Seriously, he'd only come here for a job he really should have just kept to himself and ignored this little guy. But then again, if his curiosity hadn't gotten the best of him he never would have gotten this far with his team. Even if he was a gijinka, an illegal one at that, his little critters were important to him, covering his weaknesses in battle.
Raven heard a growl forming in his lap. He looked down expecting a very pissed off pokemon, but the squirrel was staring up at him with big, round eyes. The redhead flinched. Where had this come from? A second ago it had been trying to kill him and now... now it was... so... cute. He couldn't help it, Black scooped the little guy up in his arms and cuddled it to his chest. He realized the little thing probably didn't like being squished against a stranger like this. He put it on the ground and then stroked its soft fur with his hands, pausing to scratch it behind the ears.
Even if it had been scratching up his face like a demon only a few minutes ago, Black was a sucker for these kinds of things. And at the moment, he was amused with petting and pampering this cute little pokemon.

Growl || Bide || Quick Attack Aha, so it had worked! The Pachirisu had always thought that the cute act only worked on human females, but she supposed they weren’t too different from human males. They all had a want to cuddle cute things, and if there was one thing that the little squirrel could do right, it was be extremely cute. She flicked her busy tail back and forth quickly for good measure before she was picked up and cuddled, placed back down and pat on the head.
All according to plan~
But the petting did feel nice, didn’t they? This was probably what all those companion Pokemon meant by it being good to be just a pet. Humans could be quite nice, but sometimes, they were quite the pain in the butt. The Pachirisu felt her guard being lowered by the pets and she began to flick her tail again, pleased by the attention. Perhaps this human wasn’t so horrible…

He continued to rub the creature's soft fur, caressing its soft fur with his own rough, scarred fingers. It almost seemed a crime that someone like him should be collecting such gentle natured pokemon. He watched its tail as it waved back and forth in an almost mesmerizing way. Raven was so busy petting the small pachirisu he didn't notice the time that had gone by, but when he saw the lengthening shadows of the alley he realized with a start that he would make it to his destination later then he had intended. God, he might even get there on time. The thought put the gijinka in motion, and he set the creature down on the pavement.
He meant to just leave it there, but with a glance at the spot where he had originally found it made him hesitate. He looked back and forth from the little thing at his feet to that spot a few times, having no room for another of this kind on his team but too much guilt to just leave it behind. He sighed, confused and fighting with himself for a few more seconds. And then an idea came to him, he might not have any place for the poor little creature to stay with himself, but recently he had met a girl that would give her a good home, a warm place to sleep, and more importantly lots of care and friends to play with. He retrieved a pokeball from his pouch, paused to pet the pachirisu and comfort it a bit more, then captured it with his pokeball. This little guy wasn't going to be left on the streets any longer.
And with that, and a turn, it was time to move on towards his destination.

Bite || Poison Sting || Leer || Knock Off A little ways down the alley, hidden in some rather tall weeds and rubble, a bug scuttled about, his spiked tail raised, waiting for some food to come by. The little bug wasn’t much of an active hunter… but once something got in his sights, he’d never let it go. A stinger provided all he needed to stun his prey, and strong gripping claws kept them from getting away.
Little blue eyes swept back and forth in the street, but aside from a false alarm sent by a blowing bubblegum wrapper, there was not a bit of life in sight…

He had been here in the alley for far too long, and sat down on an overturned garbage can. While he rested himself he decided some of his pokemon might appreciate being able to stretch their legs for a minute. He released his anorith, Naka, from his ball. It greatfully clicked a few times at him, rubbing it's front claws together and arching his flat, plated back in order to stretch it. The gold armored pokemon then circled around his trainer a few times, little legs scurrying across the pavement. Maybe if it had been a normal color, it would have blended in with the darkness of the cracked sidewalks and seemingly random, abandoned articles. But as it was, the little guy stood out like a sore thumb.
It's trainer smiled down at it, and reached towards his belt for a second pokeball. Before he could release another pokemon the little bug type had scurried off towards the end of the darkening passage, with no signs of stopping any time soon. Where did it think it was going exactly? It was probably just energetic after being cooped up for so long.
"Naka!" Raven called after him.
At least his headache had let up a little, and the scratches on his face had stopped stinging a bit. When his pokemon didn't halt or even slow for that matter the gijinka grumpily recollected himself and set off after the little thing.

Bite || Poison Sting || Leer || Knock Off ”Skorrr… Skorupi…” The little bug pinched his claws together in anticipation, waiting for something to stumble across his path. Nothing was coming though! He couldn’t even feel vibrations in the ground through his feet, and he was getting awfully hungry and awfully bored with the way things had been. There was absolutely nothing around these back alleys now a days, not even a measly rattata that he could maybe prod at.
Speaking of which, he finally began to feel faint trembles under his toes… Ah, now there was something to look forward to. Slowly, ever so slowly, be bunched up his legs under him and waited for whatever it was to come scuttling by. He wasn’t expecting it to be another bug, but like that wasn’t going to stop him. He leapt forward as soon as it crossed his vision, using a bite on it.

Naka did not notice the second bug type which his in among the weeds, hidden by the darkness of the alley and the concrete to which seemed almost a similar if not equal color as that of the other pokemon in the ever dying light. Raven was not paying too much attention himself, more occupied in trying to figure out what time it was by judjing the angle of the shadows, something he really had no merit in after all it seemed. He did however, hear the faint rustle of grass, and nearly a second too late he focused all his senses on the alley ahead of him, too far to stop the bite from hitting it's target but managing to call a warning in the few precous seconds of grace he had earned.
"Naka! Watch out!"
At least the rock and bug type was not stupid, he curled back, bringing the hard, smooth, golden plates on its back together for more protection. The little purple pokemon's attack hit home. Hitting, but luckily not forcing his own pokemon to flinch. The anorith acted almost on its own, screeching or hissing, whatever you called it, and retaliating against the other pokemon, claws extended in hopes of Scratching its opponent.

And just in case you're curious or worried I did roll for the 30% chance of flinching with bite, I think that's what it is right... god now I have to go check after I post this xD or maybe in the morning...

Bite || Poison Sting || Leer || Knock Off There was a grating clink as the scorpion’s fangs bit down onto the armoured plating of his fellow bug. Bugs were tasty, weren’t they? He much preferred caterpie, but this would definitely do. Drawing back from the bite, the Skorupi only had a couple of seconds to literally dodge, doing a roll as claws lashed out with a scratch attack.
Hissing in challenge, the little bug jumped forward again with his tail lifted high, using Poison Sting on his opponent and hoping that the venom did it’s work, weakening the Anorith until it passed out.

His attack missed. The anorith would have stumbled had it owned a set of two long, fleshy legs to stumble on. Seeing as he didn't, he recovered well enough, skittering a little across the ground but managing to see and dodge the poison sting aimed at him just in the nick of time. It would be bad to get himself poisoned after all. He continued to back up a little, out of the range of the dangerous looking tail- of course it definitely wasn't just for looks after all.
Naka stopped, digging his claws into the ground for extra support and better aim, then from that distance he launched a Water Gun attack at the other pokemon. Raven watched from where he stood, a little more clam now that he noticed the pokemon were probably almost evenly matched. It was never a bad thing to let his anorith solve its own problems, even less that it would learn from its own mistakes and in the end nothing too horrible could happen to it with him standing right there. The gijinka allowed himself to relax, a little back from the fight as to not get involved. Looks like he was going to get his extended break after all.

Bite || Poison Sting || Leer || Knock Off The scorpion hissed at its fellow bug as his poison sting missed, and he backed off a couple of steps to reevaluate the situation. The human was still there, but it wasn’t saying anything and the Anorith seemed to be solving its own problems. Well, that was fine with the Skorupi. That was… until a water gun was shot directly in his face.
He snarled angrily, stumbling back a couple of steps before launching himself forward with twice as much determination as before. A Bite, followed by another Poison Sting was justified.

This time, his attack was a direct hit! Even the few steps backwards that the other pokemon had put between them had done no good, and he nearly wanted to jump for joy - not that jumping was the easiest thing to do when you were a bug with tiny or no legs at all. Naka vibrated with adrenaline, eager to continue battle. Luckily he did not have to wait long, for the opponent came right at him with its teeth bared and its tail raised in ready position to strike.
Naka could not avoid the first attack, the mouth of the bug-type chomping down on his hard skin and causing the anorith to cringe back from the attack. Luckily he managed to defend himself with a Scratch, then jumping a little bit back from the other after the second attack from his fellow bug-type, poison sting, to check for damage. It seemed he was not poisoned yet, but it was a close call nonetheless. He then fired another Water Gun in his defense.

Bite || Poison Sting || Leer || Knock Off The Skorupi hissed in triumph as both his attacks hit, though neither seemed to take on secondary effects. That was alright with him, but he wasn’t much too sure how much longer he could last. That Anorith was a resilient thing, with spiny plates for defense, and the scorpion’s own armour may not be able to keep up.
It was only reinforced when the sudden scratch attack sent him stumbling backwards, and the water gun finally did him in. ”Skorupi!” He cried in pain, staggering backwards and catching a leg on a groove in the dirt. He fell then, and stayed down.
Skorupi is defeated, and can now be caught!
Anorith gained 2 levels! [/b] |

Anorith watched with caution, curled slightly in defense. But the attack that it expected never came. Instead, it seemed that the pokemon it had been fighting wobbled and fainted, to which the rock and bug-type let out a series of joyous clicks and scuttled back over to its trainer. Raven looked upn the skorupi with appreciation, he like the way it fought without fear, and even more so that it had gone on fighting until the very end. There was no reason he really shouldn't take it along with him then right? He retrieved a new pokeball from his belt, walked over to where the skorupi lay, and captured it.
He looked back at his anorith, it seemed to be only as half as energetic as when it had first run into battle but it had still just fought, and won, against a worthy opponent. The gijinka decided his pokemon needed a rest, and in it's place he released his mischievous little purrloin, Fawn. The dark-type streched in a cat-like fashion, before greeting her trainer with a yawn. The two set off once again, and Raven felt that that had not been the last of the pokmon they would encounter today.
