Lydian made a face and recoiled, coughing, from the plume of dust he'd thrown up from his kick, a hand coming up to cover his mouth as his ruby eyes narrowed to try to shutter out as much of the dust as he could. He knew he was out searching to try to find a more suitable building for them to live in, mainly so that when it rained they wouldn't be in danger of getting drowned by the elements. And yet, he seemed to have forgotten how much work it would take to set up a new home. The place was usually would be falling apart, so it would take him a few weeks to get most of the rooms devoid of the rotting remains of civilization, and even then he wasn't guarenteed to have found it all. From there, he would have to clear out the massive amounts of dirt and debris from it, and then flush out any Pokemon that might have chosen to make a home there. And that was assuming the entire building was structurally sound. Stiffening as a swarm of Beedrill flew out of the gloom, he threw a good handful of Ember at them, the dark fire still burning on his arms and hands in an obvious threat. "Erik!" he called, his gaze still focused on his enemy even as he tried to ascertain where the rest of his pack was. He didn't really want the smaller male here right now, not when there were active threats around... OOC: Finally got around to this. Finally. DX Team-

As such, Erik had refrained from clutching on to the other, but stayed closeby as they went on the search for a new place. Not that their current one was any bad, but when it rained half the time they were in danger of getting drowned, and Erik was shivering every night with each gust of wind from the fallen roof.
As such, a new place seems to be in order. Despite the work it would take, Erik was actually quite happy when Lydian finally decided they probably needed to move, and was more then eager to come along as he scouted for a new place. Having left most of his Pokemon behind, the only one trailing after them was Erik's Pachirisu and Mienfoo, both treading cautiously. Well, Nerio was anyway. Aphrodite was just sniffing at everything curiously and bounding around, her long bushy tail the only thing visible as she leapt around.
Ducking immediately when a bunch of Beedril flew out of the new place they were entering, Erik had dived to grab Aphrodite just as she was about to get a faceful of Beedrill, and the both of them had ended up rolling under the staircase and colliding in to a bunch of boxes. Coughing as he straightened up from all the dust, and shaking them out of his hair as he ascertained his Pokemon was fine. It wasn't until he looked up did he realize that while he had managed to roll under the Beedril to land right smack in the middle of the house, Lydian was still on the other side of the Beedril.
"Inside Lydi!" Erik replied to his call, realizing the ferocious bees did not notice him as he was under the stairwell. Crouching further in to the shadows, Erik clutched his shivering Pachirisu to himself. "Are you alright?" the guy couldn't help but ask, unable to see Lydian through the mess of Beedrill's buzzing around. [/style] |

The Beedrill were obviously angry, and Lydian was just as much so. How dare they attack him when Erik was so closeby? How dare they! He gathered himself up for another blast of fire, the house would be a regrettable loss but nothing that would be mourned, when suddenly Delphi bounded up with a battle cry, her claws glistening with shadows as she pawed at the air fiercely, the trailing darkness almost seeming to slice right through it for a moment. An intimidating display, especially considering how sweet-natured the red-tinted Absol usually was. Remembering the handful of discs he'd recently obtained for his Pokemon, he called out, "Delphi, use Ice Beam!" The Absol barked, a little thing of ice appearing in her mouth and slowly getting bigger, but before she could fire it off, something happened. A Houndour leapt into the room through a broken window, obviously feral as he ran at Erik. What little string holding Lydian to sanity snapped at the sight of the other Pokemon running towards the Sableye Gijinka. He thought nothing of sending out a Flamethrower straight at the remainder of the Beedrill, cutting Delphi's attack off, and then slammed the Houndour with a quick, unexpected kick to the stomach - an impromptu Faint Attack. The dark canine skidded back, yelping, before he growled low, launching himself at his new opponent again. Lydian snarled, standing his ground and taking the bite on his forearm. No one was allowed to hurt Erik. He roared angrily, his ruby eyes burning, and that was all it took. Instantly, the Houndour let go and planted his butt on the floor, whining softly in a submissive manner. He obviously had recognized Lydian as the Alpha male, and with that, he was also now grovelling to try to keep the furious Houndoom Gijinka from killing him right where he stood. OOC: GOT THE HOUNDOUR! You have no idea how much this pleases me. *purrs* Team-

But what Erik never expectd was the random Houndour bounding in all of a sudden and headed right at him. Now if he had brought Cerberus with him, the little fighter would've taken care of the feral Houndour (the dog fire type seemed to run quite rampant around Erik for some reason), but Erik had left her at home, and so the only thing he could do was stare as the feral dog came running.
Lucky for Erik though, the flamethrower came in time to shock Erik out of his frozen stupor, and he winced as he watched Lydian attack the puppy. Dropping his Pachirisu as he scrambled out, the guy quickly ran towards Lydian as the puppy cowered on the ground. Frowning at the bitemarks on Lydian's arm, the guy instead tugged at Lydian's shirt. "Give him a break Lydi, he knows he shouldn't have done that." Erik tried to plead, heart going out to the now-forlorn looking Houndour.
"Besides, we have more things to do right?" he placated, biting his lip as his eyes switched from the cowering Houndour to his angry partner, hoping that Lydian wasn't about to incinerate the Houndour. [/style] |

Blood trailed down Lydian's arm, creating a little river of crimson that snaked through the pale of his skin to slowly bead and drip down to fall to the floor, where the ruby shattered. He let out a growl from his lips, glancing over his shoulder to lock his gaze with Erik's single visable sapphire eye before his eyes had to flicker back over to pin the Houndour in place. A low snarl escaped him at the request his companion was making upon him. He couldn't just leave this unpunished! If he did, he would only be telling the Houndour it was okay to attack the Sableye Gijinka! And that was by no means acceptable, by the demands of his instincts that this boy must be kept whole and at his side and then there were his own feelings to consider, those of protectiveness over this one who had crept into his heart and somehow managed to ensconse himself there, those gentle little signs of caring that he'd shown the Houndoom Gijinka having meant everything to the male who had previously hated his world with such a passion that he could burn everything around him to a smoldering crater without a second thought. Now though... now there was someone else to consider. He couldn't just let Erik slip through his fingers, not when so much of his entire existance seemed to be tied to the smaller male now. Still bristling with a low growl filling up the quiet of the room - broken by very little aside from the periodic thumps as Delphi's Shadow Claw finished off the rest of the Beedrill - the Houndoom Gijinka turned his attention towards licking the bite wound on his arm, his tongue swabbing away the blood in quick, busy little strokes. "Fine," he rumbled, ruby eyes lancing into the Houndour and causing the Pokemon to cower a little at the obvious ire the Alpha was still displaying, "I won't kill him for attempting to hurt you." OOC: ... *is addicted to Lacrimosa* I think I know what my next drawing will be... and it's gonna kill me. But fine, Lydi, I'll attempt to draw you and Erik as soon as I figure out how I'm drawing you two.Team-

He knew it wasn't going to help much, being a Houndoom gijinka didn't mean he had all the properties of the Pokemon. Nevertheless, he let him be for now, making a mental note to look in to it with the proper materials as soon as he got home, and instead turned to study the irate Houndour, its figure and breed reminding Erik very much of his own Cerberus.
"How about bringing the little guy back instead? I'm sure he's just hungry and smelled the food in my backpack." Erik finally suggested with a grin, crouching down as he slide his bag off his back, and pulled out a couple of Pokeblocks he had managed to make a couple of days ago. Extending a hand at the fire type, he let the cube of Pokemon food scatter on the ground, and threw a glare at the Pachirisu who seemed to be planning a heist of the food. His Mienfoo on the other hand, had moved in to help Delphi in clearing out the rest of the angry Beedrills', his stone edges and pound attacks felling one after the other. [/style] |

Lydian finally sighed and wrinkled his nose, spitting out a mouthful of blood when it only kept coming out of his arm. His tongue slipping out of his mouth, he couldn't contain a low growl at the thought of having to try to stomach any more blood. He really wasn't overly fond of the taste in his mouth after so much of it. The Houndour let out a low whine at the smell of food, gazing at it with an obvious want in his eyes, but he remained where he was, waiting for his Alpha's approval that he should take food away from what was likely his chosen mate if the Houndour could determine anything from it. Even then he wasn't quite sure what to make of the new Alpha in his life as no Pokemon he'd ever met before had been quite so deady efficient at handling threats to their mates - his ribs were still throbbing a little from the kick he'd gotten, though he knew nothing was broken - and then calming down so thoroughly afterwards with merely a word from their mate. Since the dark-haired human didn't spare him a glance from where he was pressing a tight hand over his arm, he stole forward - on his belly in case his Alpha turned around and became offended that he was moving - and snatched up the Pokeblock, his stumpy little tail wagging at the taste of the food. He settled down to eat it, eyes flickering over the room and noticing the graceful sprawl of the strangely-colored Absol, her task of getting rid of the Beedrill obviously complete, and then the clumsy scramble of the Pawniard with a roll of bandages resting on one of his swords. Lancelot darted through the surroundings only to stand at Erik's side, politely tapping the Sableye Gijinka's leg with the flat of his blade. "Pawn," he murmured softly, offering the human the bandages with a gentle expression. The Houndoom Gijinka would no doubt take more kindly to Erik dressing his wounds than he would any of them or likely even Lydian himself. OOC: ... Yay more long post! Team-

So you could imagine his relief when Lancelot came up with a couple of bandages. Grinning as he took the wraps from him, the blue eyed gijinka passed out the rest of the Pokeblocks, before tugging Lydian to sit on the ground, Erik himself kneeling next to the taller male as he sorted out the bandages.
Giving a small grin at the submissive Houndour, Erik signalled for Nerio to come closer, and handed off one end of the bandages to his trustworthy Mienfoo as he proceeded in binding up the puncture marks. "Look, he isn't that bad. Don't treat him so, the poor thing must have been scared, mm?" the guy tried to soothe, occasionally letting his gaze wander from the job at hand to settle eyes on Lydian. Taking the end of the wraps that he had handed to Nerio so it wouldn't drag on the floor, Erik quickly polished up the wrapping, and then extended a hand at the Houndour.
"You're a fine little thing aren't you?" Erik spoke comfortingly, tentatively wanting to stroke the Houndour's head if he would allow. "Cerberus would be... entertained by you, at least." Erik soothed, referring to his own Houndour. The female puppy was an irate creature, who is shut off from the world and only responds to Erik, but the Sableye gijinka was thinking that perhaps she would do well with some company. [/style] |

Lancelot was happy to see Erik take the bandages from his swords, the small Pawniard nibbling on a Pokeblock he had elegantly speared on the end of his blade as he settled in to watch his Trainer be taken care of. Lydian growled softly at the tug but complied, allowing Erik to settle him on the ground, his arm held up so the smaller male could wrap it in bandages. His growl became a little rougher around the edges at Erik's words, though it didn't turn into an active threat, not with the Sableye Gijinka's single sapphire orb repeatedly returning to his face, dousing the fires threatening to escape from within the taller male. "He still tried to hurt you," the Houndoom Gijinka rumbled, ruby eyes narrowing with distaste at the memory. "Such a thing is unforgivable to me." The Houndour sniffed at Erik's hand critically before his little stump of a tail started wagging hesitantly. He had a nice scent, soothing, though the stinge of fire also covered the smaller human, no doubt a result of his new Alpha trying to cover his chosen mate in his scent so as to discourage others from attempting to claim him as theirs instead. Not that he knew what any Pokemon would want with a human, but still. The scent was obviously a claim, and he had no intention of making the slightest move to infringe upon that claim. Instead, he rolled over, bringing his paws up to display his belly in a submissive manner that showed he was acknowledging the smaller male's dominance as well. Across the room, he heard two snorts - one from the Absol, accompanied by a roll of her eyes, and the other from his Alpha, who whistled low in his throat and pet the little Poochyena that came darting out to settle in his lap - but ignored them. He didn't really want to get on the wrong side of his new Alpha, and if that meant catering to all his temperamental whims where the other human was concerned, then he would live with that. OOC: ... I am so tempted to start word counting these, but then I just know I'd slip up and stop making them so long. DX Team-

Fondly patting Lydian's cheek as he heard his words, Erik chuckled as he spoke. "Well I'm not hurt, and he's sorry, see?" he murmured, turning to the Houndour and laughing again as the small puppy turned on his belly. Automatically (as Cerberus likes it often enough), Erik's hands went to rub at the Houndour's belly, offering the Poochyena a Pokeblock as well as he appeared.
"And I'm sure Ragnarok would want a playmate too right?" he coaxed with another beguiling grin at Lydian. The small Houndour looked as if he was willing enough to come with them, at least to Erik anyway, and if he was hungry enough, he might need some companionship anyway no? God knows Erik took in enough Pokemon as it was, more then half of his current team were Pokemon he had rescued from various situations. "Besides, I think the little guy likes us!" he happily proclaimed, turning blue eye on the Houndour with a questioning grin. "So little guy, wanna stay with us?" [/style] |

Lydian snorted, looking away at Erik's words. "Only because I intervened," he grumbled under his breath, sulking as he continued to stroke Ragnarok's small body. The little Poochyena licked at his Trainer's hand as if to offer comfort, pausing only to inhale the Pokeblock he was given before returning to licking Lydian's hand. The Houndoom Gijinka scowled and pulled his hand away, wiping it off on the Poochyena's fur, but Ragnarok knew he had done well and even managed to cheer Lydian up a little by the simply fact that the dark-haired male was not throwing fire at him. Yawning, he cuddled into his Trainer's lap and curled up, thinking a nap might be a fun idea. He whined a sleepy protest when the large red-tinted Absol picked him up in her mouth but didn't protest much, knowing how Lydian liked to lean against her, already feeling his Trainer settling against her shoulder just as he was laid on top of her forelegs to sleep. "I suppose..." Lydian muttered finally, absentmindedly rubbing his thumb on Delphi's fur. The Houndour, who had been lounging happily with the bellyrubs, blinked, rolling over in a sudden movement to sit and bark in agreement, stumpy tail wagging. Having a pack with such a strong Alpha was a good thing. It meant he wouldn't be hurt so easily... and maybe even one day could evolve into a powerful Houndoom in his own right. He padded over to the human lounging against the Absol and then rolled over, showing his submission. Lydian raised an eyebrow at the display, but then again... he'd always wanted a Houndoom. "Sit Armageddon," he commanded, smirking when the little canine Pokemon scrambled to obey. Well, at least the Houndour was smart enough to recognize his own name... it had taken Ragnarok about a week to learn his, and Lydian had been at the end of his patience by that point. Eyes narrowed, he reached a hand out to stroke the Houndour's head, his other still rubbing meaningless circles in Delphi's fur with his thumb. "Come here, Erik," he called softly. "We should probably eat something before we continue exploring anyway." OOC: ... Random moment to end, but Lydi just would not shut up. DX Team-

Shaking his head a little ruefully as Lydian seemed to grudgingly accept the Houndour, Erik eventually straightened up from where he knelt and shook his head. "You go ahead, and bond with your new Houndour." he teased with a grin, "I'm not hungry. Besides, I need to go find Aphrodite, she ran off somewhere." he reasoned, before heading deeper in the musty recesses of the house.
Frowning as he heard a scuffling, the guy turned to a chest hidden in a corner, and raised a brow when he saw the blue and white tail of his electric mouse. "Aphrodite? What are you doing?" the guy murmured softly, going nearer to his Pachirisu. His brows raised as he knelt to pull the half-hidden electric type out from the chest, only to find her biting on a frilled, neon pink and black dress. Blinking, he extracted the piece of clothing from her jaws, and raised a brow as he swung it out and stared at it.
Fascinating, what with its frills and laces, Erik found himself quite drawn to the article of clothing. Turning to find Aphrodite chittering next to his ear, Erik cocked his head a little, and then looked back at the dress he held. "You want me to put it on? Whatever for?" Erik questioned in aghastment, and then rolled his eyes when Aphrodite went off on angry chitters. "Alright alright. C'mon." he gave in, placing her on the closed chest before he wriggled out of his shirt and shorts.
Shaking out the dress to get rid of the remaining remnants of dust, he shimmied in to the thing and tied the black ribbon around his slender waist, before reaching backwards and cursing when he couldn't reach it. "Do up the laces at the back for me then." he murmured, offering his back to his deft-fingered Pachirisu. [/style] |

Lydian glared quietly at his new Pokemon, who just wagged his tail a little before sprawling himself over his new Trainer's legs. Grumbling out a low growl, he began petting the small canine, ruby eyes flickering up to meet Erik's single sapphire one. "Take Lancelot with you," he requested softly, the small Pawniard looking up at his name before he nodded and trotted along to stand at the Sableye Gijinka's side. "You don't know what kinds of things you might find in this place, and not all of them will be friendly." Lancelot nodded at the subtle order, falling in quietly behind Erik, eyes scouring the surroundings searching for any threats to his Trainer's companion. He'd rather not be on the wrong side of an angered Lydian if he discovered Erik had been hurt when he wasn't looking. The Houndoom Gijinka lounged quietly against his Absol's shoulder, stroking her fur gently with a hand while his other rested quietly on the Houndour's head, well aware the canine had fallen asleep draped over his legs. He would have scoffed at it if he hadn't been fighting off instincts that told him he should be following after the Sableye Gijinka to keep him out of trouble. After all, he hadn't examined the house yet for structural integrity, and if the floor gave out from underneath the smaller male, it would be a painful fall with potentially fatal consequences. His instincts were not the least bit pleased with this and were thus urging him to retrieve Erik and take the Sableye Gijinka back into his arms until such a time where there was no chance of him being hurt. His brow furrowed as, once again, he attempted to puzzle out why the smaller male was so important to him. His hand moving through Delphi's fur slowly stilled as he thought, trying to determine this. Sure, Erik showed care to him and was extremely submissive, something that calmed his dominant tendencies down since he didn't need to use as much force to achieve results. And yet... and yet it was something else that drew him to Erik, something more instinctual and primal than a mere ego stroke. But what was it? He was broken from his thoughts by a gentle growl from the Absol he was leaning against, turning to see her looking at him with glittering eyes. He let out a soft "tch" sound, reaching to pet her again, but she merely shook her head and lifted Armageddon off his legs and nudged his arm. He glared at her silently for a moment before he got to his feet, knowing the Absol was rarely wrong when she encouraged him to do something as pointedly as she was now. Mordred flapping in to perch on his shoulder, he began venturing deeper into the house, following a set of footsteps that disturbed the fine layer of dust on the floors. Pushing open a door, his mouth went dry when he saw Erik standing there in a lacy pink and black dress, struggling to do up the laces of what was likely a corselet. His mind had gone completely offline with only one thought remaining, driven by instinct and pure feeling. Mine. Without even realizing he had ordered his limbs to move, Lydian suddenly has his arms full of Erik, connecting thier lips in a searing kiss just as explosive as any of the flames he had ever brought to life before. OOC: ... Lydi was so pleased by this he decided to ramble about it. DX Team-

Erik felt and heard a chitter as Aphrodite announced she was done, before he turned around and spread out his arms, looking skeptically at the dress hanging off him. A little loose on the chest due to his lack of a bosom, but otherwise fairly okay, since he was pretty small sized for a guy anyway. "Now why did you want me to put it on again?" he glanced down at the shimmery material, and then back at the Pachirisu chittering happily.
Aphrodite merely bounded away though, and while Erik would've went after her again, the door opened just a split second later. The slight sized guy barely had enough time to register that it was Lydian, before he found himself claimed and ravished, so much so that the only thing he could do was kiss back as his arms held Lydian's waist, pulling away after a long while with his breathe short and panting as he languidly smiled at Lydian. "Well hey there. What's the rush?" Erik murmured in silent amusement, raising a brow at the other Gijinka. [/style] |

Lydian was on fire. He couldn't explain it, how a Fire-Type Gijinka could be burning, but there was no rhyme or reason to this, not to how he felt about Erik. The Sableye Gijinka brought out the best and the worst from the dark-haired male, and that should have frightened him how strong of a hold this little one had over him, but he couldn't find it in him to care less. For once in his life since he had become a Gijinka, a slender thread had wound around his neck and fastened itself there, tight around his neck while the end trailed off, snaking down until it curled about through the pale, slender fingers of the boy he currently had crushed to his body, almost as if by plastering him there he could merge the two of them into one person. Erik may not even know how much power he held over Lydian's whole body. He couldn't contain a low whine when Erik's lips were extracted, the burning lava coursing through his veins compelling him to drop his head to pepper the smaller's jaw and neck with a heated, hungry mouth. The awkward bend he had to take for that action... was well worth it in his mind, and the dull ache was easily ignored as he continued lavishing attention on the boy he could pay no higher compliment to than that of mine. "You're mine," he informed Erik in a fierce growl, his ruby eyes burning with the force of his words. And yet, no matter how riled up he was getting, it could all be undone from a few simple words or actions from the boy in his arms. Erik held Lydian on a leash, and no matter how loosely it was held or how sparcely he tugged on it or even how unused to such a thing the Houndoom Gijinka actually was, it still would only take a quiet word and gentle tug to have the elder male backing down obediately, a rumble building in his chest but no repercussions for it. No one else could elicit such a reaction from him. Only Erik. Lancelot, on the other side of the room, smiled softly at the sight of his Trainer and the other male. They really were good for each other. Wanting to give them a little privacy, he wandered forward towards a closet, curious as to its contents, and when the door fell open easily, he blinked at the sight of an old-fashioned black suit, suitably fancy and accented in all the right places with white and red to perfectly suit Lydian. Strange... the contents in this room were eerily suited to the budding chemistry of the two Gijinka. Could they have been placed here for a reason? OOC: Yes Lancelot, they were placed there by two crazed fangirls who wanted to see Lydi and Erik dance. *shot* Team-
