Seira looked cute with a blush on her face, Ryan mused to himself. He took a moment to appreciate the gentle pink on her cheeks that spread down her neck like the prettiest feathering of the dawn that he remembered from the time he'd spent on the ranch up before dawn. "It's fine, no harm done," he insisted, giving her an easy grin, hoping to get her to relax her grip on the notebook she clutched to her like a lifeline. It was almost cute how nervously she was acting, like a baby Buneary out in the open and under the gaze of a fierce Braviary, but the difference was - no matter how much his hunting instinct as a Staraptor might scream at him to press the advantage, the urge to fight having been honed to its finest from all of the work he did as an agent of Epispect - that he was by no means a predator despite the DNA of a Staraptor inside of him. He blinked at her question, shrugging, and followed after her as she reached for a chair, her hand resting on the back of it when a chirp broke the air somewhere nearby. He had been leaning against a wall, so when he heard it, he frowned and pushed off. "Nah, all I got is Nora, an' she's in 'er 'ball righ' now," he replied, wary. To her, this was nothing more than a curiosity, an unexpected diversion, but for him, such a thing could be a threat, and his hand fell to rest on the handle of his revolver, ready for anything that might come of this new development.

She never let one of her Pokemon into the library unless they were content to hide in her bag, and only Eleonora seemed to like the terms enough to bear with the jolting as she purposely scooped her little friend out. “Eleonora,” she whispered, her hearing on the alert of any clicking heals or any sign of the book keepers, “I need you to see what’s under the table for me. Will you be careful if you do?” She normally didn’t let any of her Pokemon do something this risky, but her gut told her that what awaited the little Pidove wasn’t a threat. Even if it was, she trusted Eleonora not to stick her nose into the lion’s den, even though said Pidove has done so on smaller occasions. Sensing this request was important, especially when she heard the chirping clearing coming from under the table, Eleonora didn’t make a fuss about caution as she was placed on the ground and hopped under the table.
She saw a small Tailow when she did, weaker than she was but from lack of training or from hunger Eleonora couldn’t tell yet. The young Flying types seemed to relax when it saw her, maybe just happy to see another Pokemon here in the library. Eleonora chirped and cooed, talking softly to her fellow bird to keep it from attacking hopefully, she didn’t want to fight the Tailow. The scared ‘mon chirped back, responding well to the gentle encouragement from Eleonora. The two chirped back and forth for a little while, exchanging information on why they were both there. Eleonora waited for the Tailow to tell her first her – Eleonora found out the Tailow was a she – why she was there instead of with her flock. The tale was heartbreaking; the little Tailow was too late to fly away with her flock because she was hatched last and she didn’t gain the strength she needed until after they left. Then the winter snow started to fall and it was too late for her to follow, even if she knew how to follow their trail. Eleonora told the Tailow why she was here and the fact that a human would allow their Pokemon to see what was wrong without forcing them to do it was a huge surprise to her. Ever since she hatched all that she was taught was how to survive and to stay clear of humans. Eleonora was taught the same thing, just as all wild Pokemon have been taught, but her Trainer was nice and gave her food and love and never left her alone like her flock did when she hurt her wing. The Tailow wanted to meet this human, meet Seira, and Eleonora was happy to lead her from under the table to her worried friend, who gave them both a happy smile when they emerged together – though the Tailow was very shy about it and still afraid for the worst. Eleonora flapped to perch on her claimed shoulder and invited the Tailow to take the other one if she wanted. The Tailow, now without Eleonora as her pillar of strength, hopped back under the table some, her fear clear to the two humans.
Seira waited for Eleonora to come out with the little Flying type in tow or to flap in panic as the frightened creature attacked her, her senses on the alert for librarians on the prowl. She expected and welcomed the latter as the most likely, since most Pokemon when they are frightened or in rage would never hesitate to attack if provoked. She was pleasantly surprised to see her little Pidove come hopping out from under the table with a Tailow hopping behind her, looking so shy and frightened. She gave them both a happy smile; glad Eleonora was safe and glad that the Pidove was able to convince the obviously younger ‘mon to come out from its hiding place. Eleonora flapped to her favorite perch on her shoulder, making the only sound in her ear to be the wind generated from the short flight and with that those few precious seconds were enough to miss anyone new coming near this table area. The Tailow retreated back into its hiding place as Eleonora chirped her invite, still afraid of being hurt. It hurt Seira’s heart to see that, but she would have the same fear if the situation was reversed. Giving the scared little bird a kind smile, she cooed, “Don’t worry, sweet, I won’t hurt you,” in a soft voice, keeping her tone gentle and loving. She slowly kneeled before the table, making sure she didn’t frighten the Flying type under it with sudden movement and just as slowly offered her hand to the Tailow, her attention fully focused on her, she realized as she now had a closer look. Not many can tell the difference between males and females of many Pokemon species but she could see this one was female by her slender frame and she wings looked a bit different to the size of the ones she had seen in picture books. Seira forgot, for just this moment, how much her feet had hurt and her red cheeks from just looking at Brant as she trained her eyes only on the Tailow with every thought of taking her home if only just for the winter. Words;; 666 Tags;; Seira Blake Eggs;; Layout by Kuroya Notes;; .... I think the word count was strangely prophetic for this post >.>
For the first time in a long time, Ryan was taking on a potential threat without backup, and while normally such a thing wouldn't have the Staraptor Gijinka so on edge, especially since he rather liked not having to look after someone else in a fight, he was in a bad position in that his usual backup, Nora, was currently in her Pokeball resting, and he'd rather not have to bring her out unless the threat really was dire. That was why he thought nothing of digging down into himself and coming up with an Agility, loosening up his muscles in preparation for an assault should one have to be made. He wasn't about to take an attack lying down, and besides, there was an innocent civilian in his company, and it would be rather cold-hearted of him if he just left here there to defend herself. That was why he'd upped his speed with the Agility, and why he was now digging around in the pockets of his vest, pulling out some bullets, which he began sliding into the cylinder of the revolver he drew from its holster. He didn't care if a librarian - or anyone else for that matter - happened to glance over and see him with a weapon in his calloused hands, he was going to make sure he was prepared to take on any threat that might happen to make itself known. His senses were focused outwards, ears and eye straining with the little extra boost that being a Staraptor Gijinka gave him, though it wasn't all too much, especially considering that his ability wasn't the Keen Eye that would have made him so much more valuable as a sharpshooter and perhaps even given him an edge in an ambush like this one. Instead, it was all he could do to try to find the source of the sounds that were very likely a threat given his status as a hunter of Epispect, one of those whose jobs it was to find illegal Gijinka and take them off the streets by any means necessary. They shouldn't exist, and he wasn't going to be like the rest of those cowards and just sit aside while people broke the law like that and put others lives at risk. He was going to make a difference in the world, damn the consequences! His hand tightened on his revolver, and he brought it up, his finger resting on the trigger and ready to pull it at any given moment.
When he saw that it was a Taillow, he found his finger loosening, his thumb dropping from the hammer. It wasn't a threat. He felt his muscles relax, and he straightened, his free hand coming up to push his hat back from his eyes. He at least had the comfort of knowing that he didn't have to worry about there being an assassin in the library here to disrupt the peace. Chuckling quickly at his foolishness for even worrying about such an event - seriously, how paranoid could he possibly be, the library was quiet, there no sign that anyone here was even remotely the murdering type, and even if they were, he would hear them coming long before then - he began to take the bullets back out again, even spinning the revolving chamber that had given the handgun its distinctive name so that he could be sure he had gotten them all out. He knew that the loud clicking would likely bring another librarian, which would not be welcomed by Seira judging by the fact that she had her Pidove up on her shoulder again, not to mention that there was the Taillow on the ground in front of her, but if push came to shove, Ryan would pull out his secret weapon and let Nora out of her Pokeball so that he could take the brunt of the scolding that would no doubt ensue from having a Bouffalant out in a library.

She looked to Eleonora, really wanting to know if it was safe for her to come out to the human she perched on, looking at ease with being so close to Seira it really made her believe that Eleonora was telling the truth about Seira. Gathering up courage she never knew she had, the Tailow hopped back out into view of the two humans and the Pidove, doing her best not to look like a scared hatchling. Seira continued to coo softly to the Tailow, her hand not moving from where she positioned it nor did she look like she was going to suddenly lunge at her with wickedness gleaming in her eyes. The cooing reminded her of a mother bird comforting her chicks, allowing her to relax more and grow bolder. She lifted her wings and flapped to the free shoulder, her body hurt from the short flight from lack of food and use but it was worth the congratulations from Eleonora and the gentle strokes against her feathers by the girl’s soft hands, her cooing more loving and encouraging than before.
Seira did her best to hide her nervousness as she heard Brant fill and empty his revolver, or what she believed to be a revolver. Why would the man need to take something like that out, when all the chirping came from a scared little Tailow who lost her way? Seira kept her gaze steady on the Tailow, cooing encouragement in hopes that she would hop back out again and maybe come to her on her own. The Tailow gave one look to Eleonora before puffing up her chest cutely and hopping out again, seemingly bolder than the first time she exited her hiding spot. With a larger hop than needed, the Tailow took to the air for a few wing flaps to come rest on her open shoulder, breathing a bit deeper than she should but the fact that a wild Flying-type would do such a thing shocked her. She recovered quickly to gently pet the Tailow, Eleonora chirping and cooing strengthening sounds to her new companion. A soft smile returned to her lips as the Tailow showed positive response to her touch. She was glad that the Tailow was willing to be near her like this, but her muscles froze when the sound of heeled shoes began to tap behind her. Knowing what was to come – she really shouldn’t have hoped she wouldn’t get away with breaking the rules like this – she stood up slowly, so not to upset the Tailow on her shoulder, and turned to the librarian looking as sorry as she could make herself. She never liked breaking rules like this but if she had gotten one of the book keepers they would have thrown the little thing out into the cold without a care. She’d rather take a punishment over letting the poor thing die out in that winter day; the ice would have frozen the dear before she could find a decent shelter. She waited for the woman to start scolding, willing to take it if it meant that her new winged friend could be safe from the cold and snow. Ryan put away the last of his bullets before he slipped his revolver back into the holster at his side, hand patting the leather fondly before he reached onto his belt, fumbling around until he managed to put his fingers to the smooth, warm surface of Nora's Pokeball, pulling it out as the clicking of high heels began to get louder and louder. He quickly calculated that there would be enough space for Nora to stand without being at too much risk of knocking anything over, not that he would have let that stop him. His instincts told him to protect Seira, and he wasn't at a point right now to question it. "Sorry Nora," he muttered quietly to the Pokeball in his hand, "but this is an emergency." He then tossed the Pokeball into the air, watching it open and let out the large Bouffalant in a flash of light. Nora looked tired, and it took her a moment to snort and bring a hoof up to paw in her usual way, her pause a sign of how sick she was getting and how much she needed to rest. "Aiiint!" Ryan cried, seeing her hoof start to go down to paw at the carpet. He had been trying to break the habit for the past year or two, but he'd had limited success. He couldn't just let her paw up the carpet here, which was why he was quick to scold her, even though his heart ached at the fact that he had to act so harshly to his beloved Bouffalant. The librarian let out a shriek when she came around the corner and saw the large Normal-type, not even noticing the two birds on the girl's shoulder before she was on the Epispect agent, scolding him for having Nora out in the library and not even seeming to notice the fact that he wasn't even paying attention, just shoving a hand in his pocket and nodding in pauses and managing respectful "Yes ma'am"s whenever it seemed appropriate. He wouldn't have brought Nora out if it hadn't been important, and in his mind, protecting and helping out a cute little gal like Seira was an important cause.

She continued to watch as the lady scolded Brant for having such a large Pokemon inside the library when he didn’t before, his sacrifice being the core reason for her guilt this time. She was willing to take the heat for letting Eleonora loose; it would have been well worth it to save the Tailow on her shoulder, who tilted her head at the Bouffalant who wanted to paw at the carpet while looking ready to be sick on the floor right now. “Miss, please don’t be so hard on him!” she asked, stepping up to the plate. It was wrong to let Brant get in trouble for her own choices. “We were trying to get this little sweetheart out from under the table.” She tilted her head to the Tailow, who chirped from her perch; the presence of two Pokemon and the human who acted so nice to her making her seem confident and not afraid of this new woman who yelled at people who let their Pokemon out of those strange balls. Why would she yell, the balls couldn’t be comfortable in the least! “We’re so sorry for breaking the rules, really we are. The Tailow was too scared of use so we asked our Pokemon to help her calm down.” It wasn’t a total lie, she did ask Eleonora to go under the table to talk to the Tailow, and Nora looked so sweet even though she didn’t seem to be taking being outside her Poke ball well at all. She watched the librarian start to relax her scold, though she was hardly done with them it seemed.
“If that’s the case, then I think suspending you from the library for a few weeks as a deserving punishment for breaking our rules,” she said, holding her sternness. “Even though you two did a good thing with getting that Tailow out from her hiding place, you should have called one of the staff instead. We would have taken care of it without risking the books.” And would have tossed the poor dear into the cold to die, too, if she had let the staff do it. Seira gave the woman a nod to confirm her understanding, looking as sorry as she could. Which she was, that meant she would have to wait to find those cook books until those weeks were up. But the wait would be worth it. Seira turned to Brant, giving him a small smile as the woman walked away to make their punishment official. “Thank you for taking most of the blunt, Brant. You didn’t have to let Nora out, the poor dear looks ready to toss her cookies.”

Most people wouldn't have noticed it, but Ryan was particularly eagle-eyed, especially when it came to Nora, so he was able to spot the fact that she was swaying on her hooves, the mothering Bouffalant that had served as his partner almost looking as if she was going to collapse on her hooves, which made him feel guilty for bringing her out. Guilty enough to step forward in spite of the librarian and mutter a quiet apology to his partner, putting her back in her Pokeball to rest until he could get her some dry or sour food to eat and hopefully make her feel better, though the pessimistic voice in his head was busy whispering away, telling him that if it was just an over-indulgence in sweets, then why was it that she was so affected? He pushed it aside with some effort, instead patting her shoulder and knowing when she whuffed quietly and nudged his side with her own that it was her way of saying that he was forgiven. He patted her one more time before putting her back in her Pokeball, still ignoring the librarian. He didn't really care what she thought, and he especially didn't care about her opinions about Pokemon. Nora was not remotely dangerous unless someone decided to try to threaten him, in which case they were not only stupid, but they were also subject to having to deal with one very pissed, very heavy Bouffalant. He managed to shake himself from his dark thoughts though when Seira spoke, plastering a grin on his face even though he actually felt like turning a gun on something. "No need 't thank me, sweetheart, it's part 'f my job to take care 'f people in need, and you an' your 'mon were in need," he explained in his usual manner, shrugging as he clipped Nora's Pokeball back to his belt. "'sides, Nora wouldn't've been a happy camper if I'da just walked 'way an' left you 't deal with 'er on your own."

Though she understood how precious a book can be, Seira was ticked that the librarian looked at Nora as if she would take off and destroy everything so carelessly. An infant could see how sweet the Pokemon was, even in sickness, so why couldn’t the librarian see? It was a frustration that really made her pity people who didn’t understand Pokemon at all. Seira banished any more negative thoughts from her mind, to keep herself from stiffening and worrying the two Flying-types on her shoulders and to allow a warm smile to appear on her lips. Taking a step closer to Brant, who had just returned Nora with a loving gaze and replied to her comment, and placed what she hoped was a comforting hand on Brant’s arm. “Nora will be okay. You said so yourself you kept a good eye on what she ate until recently. The sweets are just too much for her right now, since she’s used to a more balanced diet.” It was true, she could tell by how thick and shiny the Bouffalant’s coat looked, even though the dear looked so ill at that moment. Brant took great care of his Nora and he’ll continue to do so. He just needed to see that right now, his eye was hiding it well but traces of worry and fear leaked out in bits and pieces.
Seira tilted her head in curiosity, gently tapping Eleonora as she did so. “What is your line of work, Brant?” It had to be something dangerous if he’s reach for his gun the moment they heard the Tailow chirping from under the table. She knew of some professions that needed a gun, but she didn’t want to jump to conclusions with Brant. She wanted to know, so that if she could maybe she could visit and help him out as a thank you. Guilt ate at her heart, knowing she was the reason Nora had to give up rest for those few minutes to assure that she didn’t receive any brutal punishments for breaking the library rules. She wanted to make things right with them.

Now that the librarian was gone, Ryan found himself very much at ease again, almost as if the mere fact that he was left with Seira and her Pokemon was a comforting one. In a way, he guessed it was, if only because some instinct deep down inside him assured him that the girl wasn't about to try to drive a knife into his back like some people - even some kids younger than her - often tried to, resenting him for being a Gijinka. He felt comfortable in her presence, enough to drop his guard at the very least, and that relaxation allowed him to be able to lean back against a wall, his back resting there as he met her gaze. "I 'now she'll be fine, she's a fighter an' she won't just give up without a good fight," he stated quietly, a small smile on his face as he offered a single calloused hand out for the Taillow and the Pidove to inspect, wanting them to be okay with him before he tried to lay hand on them. He'd seen his fair share of touchy Pokemon back at the ranch when the herds would spook easily and stampede if they so much as caught a single whiff of a human. It had been a hard group to herd that one, and Ryan remembered the way the other ranch hands had complained about it and the way that the Herdiers and other canine Pokemon would sometimes disobey to try to get some more attention. He blinked at the question though, taking his eyes off the Flying-types to instead focus on the girl before him. "Umm... I kinda work for Epispect... I'm a hunter. 'fore that I was a ranch hand though, which is why I have Nora and don't really fit in with the city folk." It wasn't really an insult, the mention city folk, he was just pointing out that he was different than she was, but it was only after the words had left his mouth that he realized they could be construed that way. He let the matter pass with a mental shrug. He'd deal with it if she decided to take offense to it, and if not, then no harm done, right?

It never occurred to her how strange this was, seeing as she was normally more at ease than this, and some part of her brushed it off as the sorry feeling you get when you were caught doing something wrong be someone of authority. Because of the scene with the librarian Seira could easily think it and except the thought as truth. Seira leaned herself against the table that served as the Tailow’s old hiding place – she really wanted to give the dear a nickname, but held herself back – looking to almost be sitting on it. The tension that she forced away oozed itself out of her, surprising her some on how safe she felt around Brant, and the added fact that they both knew Nora would be okay helped more than the young girl realized. Eleonora and the Tailow caught onto her mood like she did with Brant’s, tapping lightly at the hand offered to them by the elder with trust in their eyes – Eleonora’s glew so because she loved Seira and knew that if her friend didn’t like or trust this man she would know, the Tailow trusting Eleonora like a student who trusted her teacher. It was very nice to see the two respond to Brant like this.
Eyes wide at the answer, Seira gave an awed gasp that showed she wasn’t insulted in the least. He was a hunter! She read up on the rules of Epispect, she wanted to join when she finished schooling and she read that to be a hunter you had to be a Gijinka. The work sounded dangerous, having to fight Illegal Gijinkas harming people and Pokemon for their selfish greed, so to see Brant ready to draw his gun when he believed they were in danger made her respect him more than she thought she could have. And he used to live outside the city! She had always wanted to explore Aether from the city proper to the country side. Her family thought the fresh air would have been good for her, but she was always so ill and her parents and relatives so busy that they never found time to try taking her to any of the ranches. Now, she could go anytime she wanted and could work with the rancher hands! She remembered Terra then, when she started coming over for the cookies Seira baked a lot, saying her family had a dream to owning an Eevee ranch. She was brief about it, her eyes sad, so Seira assumed that her family gave up their dream to give her a transfusion. Seira never asked more, okay with what she knew and not wanting to hurt the elder of the two girls with any negative reminders.
Before she could fire questions about being a hunter and his life before at the ranch, it hit her. You can’t be a hunter unless you’re… “You’re a Gijinka also!” she blurted, her voice barely keeping from being a loud cry in her excitement. Could the fact of Brant being a Gijinka be the reason she was so at ease with him? Her amazement was well founded, Brant’s hair looked like any other person with black hair, which made her wonder if his hair was always black or if his Pokemon DNA changed it like what happened with hers. Ryan found his eye wandering over to the girl who leaned up against the table, her body small enough that her butt managed to curve outwards just in time to meet the table so that it looked like she was sitting on it. It made her look rather cute, though, so he didn't protest it, instead smiling gently at her and chuckling gently when he felt her Flying-types peck lightly at his hand. It was an affectionate pecking, the raven-haired male knowing this since the Staraptor instincts deep inside him weren't screaming out at him that they meant any harm. Giving them a gentle smile, he gently reached up to stroke their heads with his calloused hands, his fingers careful not to press too hard and hurt them by accident. His eye flickered back to her when he heard her inhale a gasp, seeing the awe that was on her face. She must have liked that she was a hunter, and that fact put him at ease. He knew that the population as a whole had to like Epispect, the company had been the saviors who had managed to figure out the cure to the virus, but he had had more than a few encounters with those who hated the company and everything it stood for, so he was very much relieved that she was okay with him being who he was. He blinked when she spoke, staring at her when she declared him a Gijinka, nodding warily, his hand that had been drifting from the revolver at his waist now pausing. Did he trust her enough to tell her the truth? Apparently he did. "Staraptor to be precise," he stated, nodding towards her. "An' you? What Gijinka 're you?" He knew she was a Gijinka, he remembered seeing her file, but he couldn’t recall exactly what Gijinka she was right off the top of his head right now.

He applied just the right amount of pressure to make the strokes feel so relaxing against their feathers. This gentleness also helped the Tailow start to trust the second human before her; if this male human could keep it up for just a little longer she’d melt into her perch. Seira gave a small giggle when she observed the two Flying-types enjoying the loving caresses, happy that they’re warming up to Brant so quickly. Both Eleonora and the Tailow gave soft sounds of complaint when Brant moved his hand away, watching it almost longingly as the appendage traveled to his holster that then decided suddenly to relaxed at his side.
Eyes widening more and more, Seira couldn’t have been more thrilled as she was now. He was a Gijinka, a Staraptor! “That’s so cool!” she cried, just barely keeping her voice volume in check – to keep the librarian or a different one from coming again and scolding her. That would explain his hair color, she muses, holding her curiosity back from asking if his hair was always black or if it changed when he got his transfusion. Since many people had black hair, it was an even chance either way. The sudden exclaim made her throat sting slightly, reminding her to be careful. So, when she replied to his question, she made sure to keep her voice soft and low, “I’m an Altaria.”

Ryan couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of the contented little birds under his hands, his fingers massaging their bodies gently and carefully before he had brought it away to touch his holster warily. But now that he had decided to trust her, he brought his hand back up again to start stroking the two Flying-types again, his touch gentle in an unspoken apology for taking his hand off them earlier. He wondered if perhaps one day he could get a Flying-type of his own, but given that he had Nora to take care of first, he decided to keep his exploits with Pokemon rather modest for the time being. Nora was enough for him right now, and that was that. The Bouffalant was a right good partner, having proven herself time and again fit to stand at his side and protect him, so the fact that he didn't have any others besides her didn't strike him as the least bit odd. Another chuckle escaped his lips when she let out her exclamation, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips before it was gone again as he nodded. An Altaria. That was why she seemed so familiar to him. Altaria were also Flying-types, even if she was a Dragon-type while he was just a Normal-type, but considering they both shared one of their two types, perhaps it wasn't all too surprising that they were getting along so well. He shoved one hand in his pocket and then chuckled softly. "Wanna come back t' my 'partment? I can getcha a glass 'f water or somethin'. Maybe even a bite t' eat?" He knew that he could just walk away now, but for some reason, he didn't really want to. He wanted to bring her back to his apartment for a while, even if it was just for a snack or something before he had to dash off for his next mission.

Ryan, I think you broke Seira~ XD One more post to go and I get my Eevees! Yay!
Seira giggled when the pair of birds began to coo in content again, melting into her shoulders as Brant stroked their heads again gently. They chirped and cooed, excepting the silent apology, making Seira very happy that there was no bad blood between Brant and Eleonora, and the Tailow looked so content with his touch you wouldn’t have suspected that she was a scared little wild ‘mon who moments ago hid shaking under the table Seira was leaning on now. Seira wondered if this natural ease with Flying-types came from his Staraptor DNA, and if so she wondered if what she was feeling could be answered by the fact they shared a type. Seira had never dreamed of meeting another Gijinka with a similar type to her so soon, though she had never dreamed of becoming a Gijinka in the first place, content as she was to be a human – even with her poor health back then. It was truly mind blowing how different she was compared to herself of a year ago; at least it was to her. Seira’s face fell when she saw him frown and nod, making her wonder why he was musing now as the two Flying-types cooed on her shoulders. Was the cause because of this familiarity between them, did he suspect it to be from their shared type? She hoped that it was the case, and not something else, like a bad memory. The expression melted away quickly and he was back to his relaxed stance, making Seira relax also, until he asked her if she wanted to go to his apartment. This idea frightened her, to be honest, she had never been anywhere outside her home besides the family bakery and the park on occasion and always with a family member with her. Terra always visited her, Seira had never gone to the older girl’s house and Terra never offered before she left. The idea of visiting someone else’s home, also, made her strangely want to go if only once. She didn’t want to decline his offer, because deep down her desire to stay by Brant outweighed her fear of this unknown. Decision made, she said with a small smile, “I would love to go.”
