Theodore didn't want to have to come home a blubbering mess and explain to his big brother what had happened. He had considered venturing from the safer areas of the colony with the idea that he might be able to find cooler Pokémon, but decided against it because the young man didn't want to upset his brother by getting himself hurt. Normally the dark haired male would travel with others, whether it be friends or his brother, but this was one of the few chances he would get to learn by himself. He just wanted to be able to impress someone for once instead of having to rely on others to keep him safe whenever something went wrong. With that in mind he had set out with Oracle, his Eevee and wandered away from home. His slender legs carrying him down the dirty streets as he walked past familiar buildings, his violet eyes eventually coming across the main fountain. It was a filthy thing, dirty water spewed from the top and once in a while someone would be able to find coins in there, not that they would ever sit there for long. In a poverty struck colony it seemed anyone would go to great lengths for a bit of cash, even if that meant selling themselves out on a street corner. His nose wrinkled with distaste, the idea of dirty people standing on a corner with fishnet leggings trying to garner another's attention... it was just gross. Theodore knew that sex and all that was normal, heck at sixteen years old he understood what others boys went through, but wasn't that kind of thing meant to be special? It wasn't like he would ever get a chance to experience it for himself, but he could always hope and continue to fall head over heels for someone. " C'mon," Theo murmured softly to his partner, kneeling down to ruffle her fur. " I bet we'll find something soon, we just have to keep looking." It was that thought that pushed him away from the City Square, chances were that the Pokémon were too frightened of the people around here to even come near the area. He slowly wandered away from the noisy square, heading towards the fenced area that was Aether Park. It was one of the few green places left in the city, which was disappointed because it seemed so beautiful. The city could certainly use more colour, even going so far as to maybe running a canal or two through the city just to have that soft blue water to contrast the horrible grey roads that stretched on for miles. " Don't go running through the bushes." The male warned gently, " You wouldn't want to disturb some scary Beedrill would you?" WILD DEERLING APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Deerling || Female || Chlorophyll || Normal/Grass || Level 9 Tackle || Camouflage || Growl || Sand-attackThe little Deerling snorted as she trotted around, enjoying the light breeze ruffling through her fur and playing with the little flower framing her ear. She pranced lightly, feeling the urge to run, but she knew she should probably stay put, her mother had asked her to stay close to her. But then again... she hadn't seen her mother in days. Or her brother for that matter. Her ears drooped a little and she couldn't hold back a soft whicker of disappointment. Where were they? Didn't they realize how much she missed them? Didn't they realize how lonely she felt without them? No longer in quite as happy spirits as she had been before, she padded through the grass quietly, ignoring the light brush of a few branches through her soft pelt. What was there left to do? Why was she still here? After all, Deerling were by nature shy creatures, but even so they grew up in groups. Sure, she knew she was getting a little old to stay with her mom, but she'd done it because her coloring had been so different from the other Deerling. She didn't fit in, so she'd stayed close to home, taking comfort in her mother's solid presence. But now... now she couldn't find anyone. Tears pricked at the corners of her eyes, blurring her vision before she stopped, stomping her hoof impatiently. No, she wasn't going to cry! She was stronger than that! She wasn't she wasn't she wasn't!
Oh who was she kidding? She was crying. Letting out a little wail, she ran blindly through the area, ignoring the crashing of the twigs she'd step on and the snapping of branches as her little body collided with them before they gave, not usually without scratching her first though. Finally, her little chest heaving, she stumbled to a stop, unable to keep running anymore, her vision completely blurry from the liquid and her legs trembling from having run so far and so fast. Shivering softly, she rubbed herself against a tree to try to take comfort in the fact that she was still here and to try to relieve a little itch, but with limited success. In fact, she was just about to start crying again when she heard a voice, her ears pricking up sharply in curiosity. A human? She had seen humans before... her mother had said they were dangerous and that she should keep away from them at all costs. Run away if she was spotted or hide if she wasn't. But... her mother wasn't here... and she was feeling kind of lonely... Snorting softly in indecision, she decided to stay where she was, shrouded in the trees and their shadow. If he noticed her, maybe she'd let him close to her. If not, no big deal, she could get along just fine on her own. That way she wasn't violating what her mother had said, even if she wasn't here to scold her for being a bad girl...

He paused, gentle violet eyes sweeping over the area with curiosity as he was unable to figure out where the noise had originated from. A figure shifted in a dark area causing Theodore to glance in that direction again as he caught a shadowy figure resting against a tree. The sixteen year old blinked and tried to focus his eyes, not really getting a good idea of what was there until he noticed the bushy little tail. It wasn't something he would have recognized right off the bat, but the young man knew it looked familiar. It was fall now, wasn't it? That meant that the Deerling would be out in full force, trying to plump themselves up for winter. Though Theodore felt a little concerned, they often stayed in herds, it didn't make sense for one to be all alone. He wondered if this one was some aggressive youngling that had been abandoned by its herd. Maybe the poor thing got lost and couldn't find its way back to its family. The sixteen year old wanted to approach it, but the Gijinka was weary of startling the Pokémon. " Oracle, c'mere please." Theodore asked softly as he sat on the soft grass, his companion trotting over to him and quickly clambered onto the cross-legged boy's lap. He raised his hand slightly, pointing in the direction of the Pokemon. " You see that over there? If we stay here they might come for a visit," He spoke cheerfully, dark locks of hair fell in front of his face when he shook his head, trying to hide his excitement. Oracle just stared at the older boy with an innocent look as she tried to gauge how serious the boy was being. He was a sweetheart through and through, but sometimes she wondered if the boy thought about how dangerous a situation could be. Yes he knew how to run away and when he needed to, but once in a while it couldn't hurt just to have the boy actually think about the situation he was putting himself in. What if it turned out to be some savage Pokémon or... or that Team Rocket playing tricks on people before capturing them? For all they knew it could be some black market folk, she'd picked up enough about the horrible things they did to people just from wandering around Epispect Tower with Theodore. The best she could do was protect the boy, even if she had to put her life on the line, but she doubted it would come to that. Theodore was a good boy and in all honesty he seemed to have a knack for following his gut and getting things right. Once in a while she just had to settle down and let the boy do what he wanted to do. ” You want something to snack on? I think I've got a few treats here," Theo murmured into her ear, his chin brushing against the top of her fuzzy head for a moment while he searched around in his pockets. The boy fumbled around for a few more seconds before finally producing a few Pokémon treats, the sixteen year old opened his palm offering them to his Eevee. He smiled softly, a few quiet giggles escaping his mouth as the other leaned down, her small tongue licking the treats and his hand. WILD DEERLING APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Deerling || Female || Chlorophyll || Normal/Grass || Level 9 Tackle || Camouflage || Growl || Sand-attackThe Deerling froze when she felt the human's eyes rest on her, and her little body started trembling fearfully. She was scared. She was so scared that something was going to happen and she was going to get hurt. Her mother had always said that the humans were bad and what was she doing, blatantly standing here in front of one, she should be running and hiding and-
Wait a minute here... he was leaving her alone? She blinked in surprise as she watched him sit down on the grass and a small, fluffy Pokemon ran over to him, climbing into his lap comfortably. Her ears twitched thoughtfully as she watched the two, this time not even stiffening when she saw one of his paws gesture in her direction. He was sitting down, how much trouble could a human cause when he was back on his haunches like that anyway? She observed them carefully, ready to run at a moment's notice, but nothing happened. He just seemed to be playing with the little Pokemon, an Eevee if she was remembering her mom's words correctly, and then her nose twitched when one of his paw-things came out from nowhere. It smelled good, and she was hungry. She hadn't eaten in a little while, too worried about where her mother and brother had been to pause to do anything more than grab a mouthful or two of leaves before she was off wandering again. Before she was even aware of it, let alone be able to do anything to be able to stop it, her legs had moved, causing her to abandon her hiding place in the shadows of the trees to instead start heading towards the human. She froze, her eyes wide in alarm that he was already causing her to do things she hadn't wanted to, but then the scent met her nose again and she let out a soft whicker, sparing only a quick glance over her shoulder back towards the way she had come before she carefully took a few more steps over to the human. She knew it was unsafe, sure, but she was just so hungry...

A concerned frown sat on the teenager's lips before he searched his pockets in an attempt to produce more food. He had a few berries on hand as well as a few treats, but nothing short of proper food for a growing Pokémon. All of that stuff was at home and unfortunately this was the best the small male could manage at the moment. " It's okay, " Theodore murmured softly. " You can eat too. " Slender fingers placed a bit of the food on the ground for the Deerling as he scooted back to give the skittish creature a chance to eat in peace. His gaze slowly drifted down to Oracle once more, playing with her little paws much to the Eevee's dismay. How on Earth was she supposed to get away from her silly trainer when the boy had put her in such an awkward position. " Ee-Eevee, " She complained loudly, big brown eyes staring at her trainer pleading with the teenager to stop embarrassing her in front of the wild Pokémon. " Oh shush, " The sixteen year old huffed, lightly bumping the small Pokémon on the head. " You let me do this at home, don't you? Haven't heard you complain about it until now. " Then again with both of them so bored around the house he wasn't so sure that either would complain when he started up with his childish antics. " Besides we've got nothing better to do - went around all day and couldn't find a single Pokémon to battle with. Whatever though, there's always time for that another day. " He sighed and flopped back into the grass, staring blearily at the sky as his companion crawled up onto his chest, pawing at her trainer's face with a stupid grin. Theodore merely stared up at her as if she wasn't toying with the boy, oblivious to what Oracle was doing. For all he knew she was rubbing dirt on his face, not that it mattered. He'd get scolded a little and told to wash up when he got home, but all that meant for the teenager was that he needed to take a shower - or a bath - oh jeez he hadn't taken a bath since he was little and he refused to get in the water unless his brother was with him. It was a bit embarrassing, but he was scared of the water and like any good big brother Skyler suffered it with him. " How's our little friend doing?" WILD DEERLING APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Deerling || Female || Chlorophyll || Normal/Grass || Level 9 Tackle || Camouflage || Growl || Sand-attackThe Deerling watched quietly as the human rummaged around in his body before he pulled out some berries and some more of that good-smelling stuff that had drawn her out of hiding, and as soon as she saw it get placed down on the ground and him retreating, she walked slowly up to the food and dipped her head to nibble at it, her gaze fixed carefully on the human in case he decided that he was going to spring at her. Her ears twitched up, eyes widening at the explosion of lovely taste in her mouth when the food touched her tongue, and she couldn't help herself from devouring it hungrily, taking her attention from the human and his Eevee. This food was so delectable to her empty stomach, though the organ roiled when it entered simply because it hadn't taken anything into its confines for so long, and she couldn't help but let out a soft whine of disappointment when it was gone. Forgetting about the others here, she dipped her head lower to crop at the grass before she started at a thud, skittering backwards a little and looking up with wide eyes. Oh right. She wasn't alone. She stayed quiet for a moment before she decided that this human must be different from the ones her mother had told her about. He hadn't made a single move to hurt her, not even once. Having reassured herself with that thought, her little tail twitched and she quietly trotted over to him, dipping down behind him to sniff at his hair before she began gently chewing on the dark locks curiously. She couldn't help it, she just wondered what it tasted like. The taste on her tongue was strange... but was it good? She couldn't say. She would need to keep tasting it for a little while before she could draw an accurate conclusion.

She seemed harmless, at least harmless enough that Theodore had no qualms with the Pokémon trying to eat his ear. With his mind at ease, Oracle too seemed to relax and lay content on her partner’s chest while the boy continued to coo over the Deerling. His free hand started to rummage, a slight frown on his lips as he slowly began to discover that there was no food left. What in the hell was he supposed to do? The young boy wasn’t exactly going to leave a poor little Pokémon to starve, but he was sure people wouldn’t take too kindly to a vulnerable, wild Pokémon wandering the streets. He knew he would have to protect the little one, but it required some thought. “ Do you eat grass at all?” The boy mused softly, that would have made things easy, but it must not appeal to the young one. Didn’t most creatures enjoy a little flavour to their food? “ It’d tide you over, a-at least until I could get you to my house. I’ve got more food there and... and Skye might know what you like to eat a lot better than I would anyways.” He rambled quickly, the teen becoming flustered for trying to explain himself to such an innocent Pokémon. “ I mean you don’t have to if you don’t want to, b-but I don’t have anything else with me.” His voice was starting to sound meek, Theodore found his explanation quickly becoming pathetic. All the teenager could do was try and tell himself he was doing the right thing, even if the Deerling ran away from him at least he offered. WILD DEERLING APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Deerling || Female || Chlorophyll || Normal/Grass || Level 9 Tackle || Camouflage || Growl || Sand-attackThe Deerling let out a soft whine when the human reached up to brush her cheek, staring at him with big watery eyes because she just wanted food and why couldn't she try to nibble his hair even a little? He had lots more of it, it wasn't like she'd be taking a whole lot. Though... on second thought... his hair did have a yucky aftertaste to it... not when the food he had given her had tasted so much nicer. She was yanked from her thoughts by a gentle poke at her nose, an action that caused her to let out a huge sneeze that shook her entire body, even managing to lift her hooves maybe an inch or two off the ground through the sheer force of it. She whickered quietly when he spoke to her again, nodding before she dipped her head to crop a little grass. "Ling ling deerling," she murmured quietly, one ear flicking as she brought her head up to look at him again. 'See? I eat grass too." She then let out a soft whicker when she saw how his words almost seemed to start rushing together in his anxiousness, and her tail flicked behind her. She liked this human, genuinely liked him. He was kind to her, quiet, and he'd given her food when she was starving. Her stomach rumbled loudly, and she scuffed a hoof self-consciously on the ground, looking down at it rather than at his gaze. "Ling," she apologized quietly, her mother having instilled proper manners in her, and she cocked her head to the side. In that moment, she realized that she wanted to go with him. After all, even though her mom had taught her that humans were bad, he didn't seem the least bit like that, and besides, his Eevee seemed happy enough where she was sprawled over his chest. It couldn't be such a bad thing to be around them if the Eevee liked it so much, right? Telling herself this over and over in her head to firm her nerves, she then trotted a little closer and shyly nuzzled his hand, hoping that he would understand what she meant here, the one thing she was too shy to speak herself, not now anyway.
THE WILD DEERLING WANTS TO GO WITH THEODORE! DEERLING CAN NOW BE CAUGHT!

It was enough of a warning for Oracle that the smallest Pokemon could scramble off his chest and settle down on the grass beside him, watching as her trainer stood up. " We'd better get going then," He mused softly, gentle fingers brushing over the top of the Deerling's head. " Wouldn't want you to get hungry enough to eat my hair." Theodore smiled, a hint of teasing in his voice as he began to walk in the direction of his home. " We might get lucky though, there could be some berries along the way - even a battle. Oracle's been pining to release some pent up energy for days now." He kept his pace slow, keeping in mind that the young Deerling may want to go at a leisurely pace considering her condition. Then again, the poor thing looked exhausted... would she prefer it in a Pokeball? Theodore mulled over this, it was a place to keep them rested, but the idea always bothered him. He liked having his Pokemon out because he wasn't able to take care of them when there were stuck inside a Pokeball. What was it even like inside one? That was something he would have to ask a scientist one day, or even his big brother - he always seemed to have all the answers. Biting his lip, he let his gaze fall to the young one again, slender fingers just resting lightly on the top of her head. " Should we name you, maybe? I don't think calling you Deerling for the rest of your life would be suitable. We'll just have to find something that you like." WILD DEERLING APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Deerling || Female || Chlorophyll || Normal/Grass || Level 9 Tackle || Camouflage || Growl || Sand-attack The Deerling blinked when the human stood up, but when he spoke, she let out a quiet noise of agreement, trotting after him agreeably. Her ears twitched when he put a hand on her head and asked if she wanted a name. She just cocked her head to the side curiously. She didn't need a name if he didn't have one to give her, that wasn't something she needed, but if he saw fit to give her one, she wouldn't mind answering to it. She had all the rest of forever to stay with her new companion, after all...
WILD DEERLING HAS BEEN CAUGHT!
WILD OSHAWOTT APPEARED! [/style] Oshawott || Male || Torrent || Water || Level 8 Tackle || Tail Whip || Water GunThe Oshawott was sleeping on the bottom of the little pond where he lived, his eyes closed and his breathing smooth before his brow furrowed, head shaking from side to side as he stirred. What was that noise nearby? Slowly, his eyes opened and he scowled immediately upon doing so. Great, the Corphish was singing again. Why did they always sing when he was trying to take a nap? Grumbling as he got up, he flicked his tail behind him and propelled himself quickly to the water's surface, breaking through it and trying to pretend that he didn't still hear the singing going on underneath him. Having no such luck - he never did where this group was concerned - he huffed and quickly swam over to the shore, heaving himself onto dry land and then waddling off. Sometimes he really hated his fellow pond-mates. They were always so loud when he was trying to sleep, what with their singing and dancing and everything else. In fact, he was so caught up in grumbling over the thought of them that he didn't even notice the bush looming in front of him until he'd run right into it, his little paws flailing in alarm at all the branches trying to eat his face. "Oshawooooooooooooootttttttttttttttttt!" he cried, struggling against his mighty bush foe when suddenly he fell backwards from all of the flailing he was doing, landing on his back away from the shrubbery. He stared at the sky for a moment before he suddenly realized that he wasn't alone, and he turned to see the human and his Pokemon, blinking quietly. "Oshawott?" the little Water-type offered shyly, not really having any idea what to say other than 'hi'. After all, he did just make a complete fool of himself running into a bush and then barely managing to even get himself back out again, and only in a very undignified fashion...
OOC: Make me break my usual capture format, I see how it is. *shot* Anyway, Deerling's yours, no more Kurocontrol for her.
