LET THE WHOLE THING BLOW
B A S I C I N F O
★ NAME: Everett Jackson Wilmont
★ NICKNAME: Ever
★ MEMBER GROUP: Gijinka
★ POKEMON: Seviper
★ STATUS Legal
★ AGE: 18
★ HEIGHT: 5'5"
★ WEIGHT: 111 lbs
★ FACE CLAIM: Mikado Ryugamine from Durarara!!
★ APPEARANCE:
Everett usually isn't a hard person to miss in the street, if only because he's so quick to dash through it as he tries to deliver something to someone. He has short black hair, a nice deep inky jet too rather than the washed-out blacks that some people have when they dye it that way, and a rather slender body. He doesn't have a whole lot of muscle to him, though by this point he's grown out of the majority of his Growlithe fat, so to speak. He's rather pale despite all the running, the result of preferring long sleeves to short ones, though there is a certain sun-kissed nature to his skin. His fingers are tapered, the nails cropped short and kept clean so that he doesn't catch them on anything, though there's enough of an edge to them for him to use them defensively if he had to, though he mostly uses them to slit tape or plastic wrap. His eyes are a deep sapphire blue, almost black, usually shining with his emotions.
Everett's favorite color is actually a light blue, so he likes to wear a white dress shirt, a deep cerulean tie, a light blue jacket, and then a pair of black pants and black Converses that have been well worn in from running around with his job. When he's on his own time, though, he'll usually wear a green zip-up jacket over a skin-tight shirt and a pair of blue jeans, a little black messenger bag full of supplies (and a few deliveries he's taken on since it's on his way) never far from his side. He also has a black suit in the back of his closet, gathering dust, but he refuses to wear it. The last time he did, he was at his parents' funeral, mellowed out on all kinds of medication so that he wouldn't make a scene, and as such, the memory has stayed with him, giving him a negative connotation associated with that suit that congregates itself in a refusal to wear it anymore. If he needs to wear anything fancy, he'll wear his work stuff, and if not, he'll wear a white shirt and a hoodie along with his trademark bag. His Pokeballs are usually left inside his bag since he doesn't wear a belt to clip them to, and besides, if he loses that bag, he might as well give up anyway since his entire livelihood is in that now. If he actually has to go somewhere without his trusty bag, however, he'll usually shove his Pokeballs into his pocket for safe-keeping, not really trusting himself to be able to lash out if push comes to shove. He's only a Seviper, after all, and there are far tougher Gijinka out there...

P E R S O N A L I T Y
★ POSITIVE:
- Optimist;; No matter what happens, Everett's always there with a grin and a promise that tomorrow's going to be a better day, ready to take on difficulties and bring his happiness to others.
- Energetic;; A bouncy kind of person, Everett is always on the run for his job as a delivery boy, and while he usually sleeps very well at night as a result, he's never afraid to take extra shifts if it means that someone else can catch a break while he keeps going.
- Trusting;; Everett is a kind soul, the type to give anything to someone in need, and as such, the idea that someone might be lying to him tends not to occur until much later, usually after the Seviper Gijinka has exposed himself to the potential of being hurt.
- Sensitive;; Everett doesn't like hurting people's feelings, not in the least, and so he has spent a lot of time trying to find ways to determine the emotions of other people so that he'll be able to tell when something he's saying is too painful, and by this point, he's good enough at it to be able to tell when to leave someone alone more often than not, though he still sometimes makes mistakes.
- Quiet;; In spite of his general happy nature and the endless energy he seems to possess, Everett is actually content to remain the background of things, needing only the quiet reassurance of those he holds dear to truly be happy, and it's not his style to really be out in the middle of things, so it all works out.
- Polite;; Brought up to use his manners, time hasn't changed that part of Everett, and he's always a courteous young man, holding doors for other and making use of "please" and "thank you" even if the other person may not deserve it.
- Loyal;; When Everett has decided to give out his trust, he does it whole-heartedly, placing his entire being in that person's hands and refusing to leave their side short of being kicked in the stomach and insulted by the one he's standing beside.
★ NEGATIVE:
- Possessive;; When Everett lays claim to something, he refuses to even allow for the most fleeing possibility that that something might be taken from him, and when he feels that his claim is threatened, he will go to any lengths to make sure that everyone understands that he won't be giving up without a fight.
- Clingy;; Everett has had a lot of people walk out on him, and while he won't admit it, that has left its scars that manifest themselves in the form of him wrapping his arms around people he holds dear and refusing to let go for as long as he can, needing that contact to reassure himself that everything's going to stay exactly as it is now.
- Reserved;; Everett may trust people more freely than he should, but there are some things he just prefers to keep from people, so he hides behind a happy, friendly mask a little bit, even if it is for his own safety.
- Over-protective;; Everett is a possessive guy and he's loyal as hell, but if he suspects for an instant that someone intends to hurt someone he holds dear, he will go all out, hissing and biting as he chases off the perceived threat.
- Stubborn;; Everett doesn't back down when he's set his heart on something, and while this most often shows up when he's insisting on staying at someone's side, it also manifests itself when he's trying to claim someone as his own, chasing after them with a persistence that can be downright frustrating, especially if it's one-sided.
- Dreamer;; Everett's the type to have his head up in the clouds, the type to always be picturing a better tomorrow, and while that's part of how he manages to get enough happiness to put on the mask, it also serves to depress him at times when he realizes, or thinks he realizes, that the picture he has in his head can never come to pass.
- Insecure;; After his parents' deaths and his brother drew away from him, Everett went on this long streak of boyfriends, and even if he didn't sleep with any of them, he's actually extremely uncertain of himself sexually, and one of his greatest fears is that someone is going to leave him behind after he's given his heart to them.
- Cowardly;; Even if Everett isn't the type to run away from a fight, he's still timid of certain things, and when he's feeling overwhelmed with too much stuff at once, rather than stand and deal with whatever it is that is stressing him out or demanding his attention, he'll just run away from his problems.
- Self-sacrificing;; Everett is a kind soul, and he wouldn't think twice to throw himself in front of a bullet to save someone he liked, though thankfully that doesn't come often, and usually the biggest thing he'll have to do is maybe hide a bit of pain or force down some meat to make sure everyone's still happy.
★ HABITS, QUIRKS:
- Hisses when he's upset or angry, a sharp sound, or when he's content or happy, a softer one, something he picked up along with the Seviper DNA.
- Used to be a vegan, but after he got his transfusion, he loosened his restrictions, becoming a vegetarian, though if someone presents him with meat, he's more likely to eat it than to push it away and risk hurting their feelings.
- Likes to toss and catch a red rubber ball when he's not doing anything, just a little something to keep his hands busy.
- Bites his lip when he's nervous or uncertain, worrying at it, sometimes to the point where he'll accidentally draw blood with his teeth.
★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Everett likes to greet people with a smile and a handshake, the way his father taught him was the polite way to introduce himself to someone. It's a rare thing indeed to find him without a smile on his face, always ready with a happy thought about the future even if things look bleak. He might be running around like a Torchic with its head cut off at times trying to get all his deliveries made, but he's always willing to let someone tag along with him if they'd like, too polite to turn them away. He's been brought up to be a gentleman, and so he will act like one, holding doors for people and using impeccable manners when talking to people. He might have his head up in the clouds at times, planning out things that aren't likely to come to pass, but that usually doesn't affect him too negatively, the Seviper Gijinka not having a whole lot things to be sad about, not now anyway. It doesn't seem like there's a whole lot that he could possibly get down about, but the truth is, he's actually quite more fragile than someone might think. He occasionally depresses himself with his plans, reminding himself that things aren't as hopeful as he likes to pretend, and he's actually just a mess of problems for whoever would dare to love him. He tends to cling to people when he's around them, not wanting to let them go out of a fear that if he does, they'll slip away from him, and he's extremely over-protective and possessive of things he considers his, refusing to let any hurt come to the people he loves.
Everett actually is quite fond of the quiet, preferring to play with a little red ball when he gets the chance. Idle hands are the devil's work, so he prefers to keep himself busy, even if it's with small tasks. He's usually running for his job, and while he crashes well when he does get to sleep, he doesn't really seem like he has any end to his energy during the day. He's the kind of person who wouldn't think twice to do something for a friend and wouldn't back down from their side, wanting to just make them smile however he could. He'll even take a bullet for someone he loves, though that's not the most poignant of what he usually does. If he has to suffer for his friends, it's usually in the form of eating meat. He became a vegan when he was younger, but after he received the transfusion, one of the first things he did was eat something with meat in it. It was entirely by accident, of course, but the boy ended up spending the rest of the night emptying his stomach contents into the toilet. Did he mean to eat the meat? No. Could he deny that his instincts told him it was good? Not in the least. But rather than give up his morals entirely, he instead loosened his restrictions so that he would satisfy himself with eggs, cheese, milk, and the like. Still no meat, but he's vegetarian rather than vegan. Of course, he's not perfect about sticking to his diet, though he's gotten better at it. He'll still occasionally have to consume meat when a friend offers it to him and he's too polite to tell them he's a vegetarian and doesn't want to hurt their feelings by turning it down. He'll eat it instead, shrugging and thinking that getting sick over the toilet for the night is worth seeing his friend smile.
Everett will chase after someone he likes with a stubborn persistence, refusing to back down even if they yell at scream at him, sometimes even curling up at their side after they've physically hurt him. He's devotedly loyal, though there is one occasion where he'll drop everything and run away. If he's feeling too overwhelmed, like he's drowning, he'll flee the situation rather than face it, a bit of a coward even if he's unafraid of physical things. No, what he's afraid of is all mental, and he can be achingly vulnerable to anyone who sneaks their way under his skin. He may not like to fight, but he has no qualms with lashing out after a good hiss when he's been poked one too many times with a stick. One of his favorite things to do, however, is to curl up in his blankets, his arms wrapped around the waist of someone he loves with a light hiss of contentment falling from his lips as he sleeps the day away in a sunny spot.

H I S T O R Y
- Everett was born younger of two children of two working-class parents. His parents were usually too busy to spend much time with him, working two jobs to try to keep the family afloat, and so instead, Everett grew up because of the efforts of a nearby uncle who took the kids in under his roof and raised them as his own. Everett was generally a happy kid, always ready with a wide grin on his face and a cheerful giggle on his lips as he ran from his uncle or his older brother.
- Even if Everett's parents weren't able to spend as much time with the two young boys as they might have liked, they didn't seem to mind it too horribly, happy to play with their uncle and to goof around with each other. They were a happy little family, but things were good. Everett was taken care of by his older brother, who tried to ensure that the boy wanted for nothing, but it wasn't an overly hard task since the younger seemed so content to smile all the time. And then it all came to an end. Everett's mother had grown tired of watching her babies grow up without her and managed to persuade their father to take more hours so that she could live their lives along with them. Everett, however, missed spending time with his uncle, and so the kids would go visit for a couple hours every week.
- When Everett started school, his mom had to go back to work, even if it was only part-time, so the young boy would stay at his uncle's house again. Even as the days of sitting up at the table with his legs dangling in the air as he held a crayon in his fist and colored page after page of his uncle's drawings slowly slipped away to those of scribbling on worksheets for his education, that sense of family pervaded, his older brother helping him with his homework while his uncle would hunt up sweets for the kids. When he was in third grade, he bounced home with a grin only to find his uncle kissing another man. He was shocked, of course - who wouldn't be when they found out that their beloved uncle wasn't actually straight like they had thought he was? - but he readily accepted the change, glad to see that his uncle had found someone to love him. After all, the child supposed, he was taken care of, so who was he to begrudge his uncle his happiness? His brother wasn't as quick to accept the change, hurt by the fact that their uncle hadn't told them the truth, but Everett's tearful pleas eventually got him to tolerate the man, even forgive him after a year had passed and he had come to terms with everything. Life went on for the Wilmont siblings, and Everett grew to be a charming young man who was quiet, a delight for his teachers and an excellent student and friend.
- In his sophomore year of high school, everything went horribly, terribly, irrevocably wrong. His parents were caught in an industrial accident, his mother having gone to bring her husband his forgotten lunch when the equipment had failed and collapsed upon them both. Everett and his older brother were pulled out of their classes to receive the news, and it broke Everett's heart. The boy dissolved into hopeless tears, his older brother holding him close and assuring him that everything would be okay. Their uncle came to the school to pick them up, the redness around his eyes driving it home for Everett that his parents really were gone. The boy broke down again into tears, and his uncle put his arm around the younger Wilmont sibling and gently tugged him out.
- The funeral was a brief affair. Everett wasn't supposed to go, his brother assuming - correctly - that if he did, he would break down again. However, Everett found out about it, and there was no keeping the boy from attending. The only thing they could do was let him attend, though he was so medicated that most of the memory of that day was a blur. He had a brief tribute poem that was read by his older brother, roses were tossed onto the caskets, and then the bodies were taken away to be cremated. The Wilmont boys had their uncle as their guardian and the company which their parents had worked for had given them a fair payout to avoid a lawsuit, but the two were still heartbroken. To Everett's horror, his brother drifted away from him, burying himself in his studies. Everett, feeling alone and abandoned, began to experiment with his sexuality, not taking too very long before he discovered that his tastes lay in males. He didn't sleep around, but it wasn't an uncommon thing for him to bounce between boyfriends, craving to feel like he belonged, like he was wanted and needed - like he wasn't going to be abandoned again.
- A year after his parent's deaths, Everett had changed. He was happy and perky, the boy rarely found without a smile or a laugh on his face, but the truth was, he really was still hurting inside. The wounds had scarred over enough for him to pretend, and he stopped dating, instead devoting his free time to the job he had taken of a delivery boy, an opening his uncle had gotten for him in the hopes of giving him something to focus on. The job helped open Everett back up again, even if it meant he was out of the house at odd hours to fill in for sick coworkers or just to take an empty shift or two. The male may not have been as bouncy and perky as he once was, but his smile was infectious, and it didn't take long for the owner of the small service to try to look after the boy like he was her own son. In fact, he worked so many hours that when he first began to start coughing, she was the one who noticed it first. She told him to go home, but he just waved it off in his usual way, saying it was just a cold and he'd be fine. He was wrong.
- The cough didn't go away, even after Everett finally gave up trying to keep up with his deliveries and instead called in sick for weeks on end. In fact, he only seemed to get worse as time went on. Everett tried to ignore it though, wanting to keep the job that he so loved, but when his fist came away speckled with blood from one of his coughing fits, he knew he couldn't ignore it any longer. He went to the doctor, and the verdict he received was devastating. He had caught the virus. Immediately, the small family made inquiries for how much it would cost to get the transfusion to save his life. The result, however, was far too costly, even with all of Everett's earnings, the money his uncle, and what was left of the money from his parents' deaths. Everett was almost relieved it turned out that way, if only because he didn't want them spending all that money on him. He was going home to his parents, where he wouldn't trouble anyone anymore, and besides, he'd joke, if he was lucky, maybe he'd get to be a guardian angel of some cute boy!
- Just as Everett was starting to put together his affairs to die, news came in from Epispect. They would permit him to take the transfusion for the lesser amount of money. Despite his protests, his brother and uncle quickly accepted, turning over all they had to the company in exchange for the transfusion of Seviper DNA into his system. It was only when he woke up that he found out why though. His older brother had given up his own nest egg, a bit of a solid chunk with all things considered, and sold himself to the company in exchange for Everett's life. Everett was furious, he hadn't wanted his family to give up everything over little old him, and unable to stand remaining in the house to continue draining his family of their resources, he left as soon as he turned eighteen, working all the hours he could at the delivery company just to be able to afford a little apartment while he finished up his schooling.
- Everett barely managed to graduate. He nearly flunked out of a few classes due to all the days he missed between being sick with the virus, the recovery, and all the hours he spend working, but he managed a passing grade, receiving his diploma. Since then, he's been able to pour more of his time and effort into his work, sending whatever money he could back home to try to repay his uncle and his brother for what they did for him, though he was careful never to leave a return address so that they wouldn't be able to find him. Still though, the boy with the broken smile has felt as if there's something missing from his life, and it's with that thought in mind that he's turned to trying to pick guys up in bars, though he hasn't really found anyone who has piqued his interest... not yet anyway...
