A breeze blew by, carrying a sweet scent of flowers, grass, light dampness and trees. Seira deeply inhaled, loving the fact she could without worrying about coughing or tasting polluted air. The Atlaria Gijinka sat under one of the many trees in the park, relaxing, watching her Pidove Eleonora hop around and fly in the clear sky that seemed to go on into eternity. Both made a habit of visiting this sanctuary as often as they were allowed, still in search of Terra. The thought of the cookie-loving Flareon Gijinka made her worry some. Terra was a sweetie who made her life before her transformation so much brighter, Seira hoped that her friend was okay - where the girl was.
Seira snapped out of her worrying and giggled when Eleonora fluttered back with little rocks and things now and then, giving her gentle pets or a treat as thanks. The Pidove was such a curious thing, it was so cute. Lying back against the tree trunk, Seira stared into the intense blue above her and hummed in glee while wrapping her arms around herself. Even though it looked like her mind was elsewhere, her sharp senses told her of how far her Pokemon friend wandered, ready to come to her if she happened on a Pokemon or trainer looking for a fight. She heard a twig snap, somewhere in the opposite direction from where Eleonora is. Though whatever it is wasn’t near her Pokemon or herself, Seira kept an ear open just in case. For now, she’ll pretend that there wasn’t anything there and continued to hum. Soshite anata no moto e ochiteyuku [/div][/td][/tr] [/table][/center]

WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 ScratchThe little Paras was wandering about in the grass, his claws scrabbling at the leaves around the base of trees so that he could try to find some food. Unfortunately for him, though, he couldn't manage to find any mushrooms or roots that had broken the hard soil for him to scratch away at and take some nutrients out of, so with a sigh at each progressive loss, he continued moving, his little orange body blending in surprisingly well with the dappled lighting filtering down among the shade of the trees. Though that could've just been the fact that the leaves beneath him were still bright enough to lend him some camouflage against them. Eh, he wasn't going to look a gift Ponyta in the mouth. He saw something poking out of the leaves and crawled towards it curiously, taking it in his claws and tugging it towards him. "Paris Paris" he whispered before pausing, blinking in surprise. "Paris?" Oh. It was just a twig. That he'd obviously broken from where some human had stabbed it into the ground so that it would stick up like a flag. Oops. He'd thought it was a root that had been sticking up out of the ground, having climbed up a rock that wasn't there anymore because some Pokemon had shattered it training for some human. But apparently it'd just been something some human youngling had been playing with. Grumbling quietly to himself about how humans should be a little more considerate with things like that so that they didn't give hungry Pokemon the wrong impression, he continued scuttling through the leaves before he stopped dead, his eyes wide as he saw what it was that had brought him to such an abrupt halt. A human. There was a human here. And right when he'd been complaining about them too! Uh oh... where humans went, usually stronger Pokemon followed... and he wasn't strong enough to handle a fight... This wasn't going to end well for him...

She giggled at the sight of her baby bird pecking at the stem to make the apple drop, knowing she wanted to eat it. “Pi-!” she chirped, finally getting what she wanted and watched as the apple fell to the ground, only to be rescued by her trainer. Seira caught the apple, checked it over to make sure it didn’t have any bruises or rotting spots, then reached for a pocket knife to cut it into small slices for the Pidove to eat. Humming as she worked - Eleonora now perching on her shoulder having moved from the branch she got the apple from- out of the corner of her eye Seira spotted with her newly sharpened eyes something bright orange, just a tad brighter than the leaves lying on the ground around the trees. ‘A Pokemon?’ she thought, musing to herself about what kind she knew of that could blend in so well with the fall leaves as she cut the apple. Not knowing if this new creature some ways away from her had a trainer or was wild and hungry, Seira made sure to set a few slices aside for it.
Keeping the moving creature in her peripheral vision, Seira watched Eleonora munched on her prize, not bothered by slices out of her reach, her trainer liked to leave things for later and that just meant she could enjoy more apple goodness later. The sound of grass being moved as something crept near made Eleonora stop mid-way from taking another slice. Tilting her head, she hopped and fluttered to the source, curious to see what it was and not concerned if it would attack her. Seira followed her Pokemon with her gaze, also curious but ready to swipe in and get Eleonora away if the Pokemon approaching – as it got closer she could now see it to be a Paras – is looking to attack them. She hoped it was just as curious as her Eleonora, wanted it to be so, and kept the apple slices in hand to offer if the Paras only wanted to snack. WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 ScratchThe Paras blinked again in surprise when an apple fell down from the trees to land on the ground, bouncing a few times before the human scooped it up. Apples were a rare treat for Pokemon like him, the ground-scuttlers. Sometimes he'd get lucky and chance upon a half-eaten core that someone had thrown into a bush or something for the bird Pokemon, but more often than not when he would taste such a delicacy, it would be when they had fallen to the ground, half-rotten with some blatant imperfection that had told the humans not to eat it and instead leave it for the wild Pokemon who would devour anything they could. It was exceedingly rare for them to be able to eat something that wasn't already half-rotten or discarded, but a few of the older Pokemon claimed that they had tasted untainted food. Maybe it had been blown down by the winds of a storm or maybe they had fetched it themselves. Either way though, the Paras remembered the taste of apple, and his mouth watered at the sight. He let out a soft hiss when he saw how the human carelessly left pieces of it aside, as if they were worthless, and then suddenly, he realized he'd been spotted. A Pidove was hopping towards him, and he bristled up, flashing his claws in a warning. "Paris paris!" he cried, slashing at the air with them, before he noticed something that made him see red. The human had the gall to mock him with the food, her hand clutching the slices she had set aside. He didn't need human pity! He could get along just fine without it! "Paris paris!" he yelled out in a war cry, the tips of his claws glinting before he brought them out in a Scratch attack. He didn't care if he hit the human or if he hit the Pidove, he just wanted them to leave him alone! Pity was for the weak, and if there was one thing he would not stand for, it was being thought of as weak.

Getting up, dropping the slices, she quickly made her way to her friend. Eleonora did as she was instructed, sacrificing some of her energy to leave a fake behind as she retreated. The Pidove chirped, trying to talk to the enraged Pokemon, hoping she can find out what’s wrong. She didn’t like being attacked out of the blue, she wanted to know the reason. Seira knew right when the Paras saw her pick up the apple slices that leaving them aside was a bad idea. She could tell that her want to be kind wasn’t seen as such by the Bug Pokemon. From the emotion in its eyes, Seira believes that she hurt it’s pride. She managed to scoop up Eleonora before the Paras had another chance to use it’s Scratch attack again to target Eleonora, but didn’t get away before the claws cut through the skin of one of her hands, leaving her with a safe Pidove and a freely bleeding hand as she backed away slowly. Seira made sure she was ready to defend them both if the Paras went for another strike, bringing up some of her powers as a Gijinka to use Sing.
But, to the bluenette’s surprise, Eleonora jumped out of her hands to stand against the angered Pokemon. Seira got hurt because of her, now she really wants that reason and if she has to fight then so be it! “Pidove pi!” came her battle cry, challenging the Paras to try and defeat her.

WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 ScratchThe Paris let out a little cry of triumph as his claws bit into the substitute doll, sending it skidding back several feet before it dissolved into pieces against a tree. His claws flexed quietly before him, ignoring the chirping of the Pidove. She was no better than the human, looking at him with pitying eyes. He didn't need anyone's pity! He was better than that! He was! "Paris par!" he cried, a small tinge of satisfaction taking over his body when he saw he'd managed to give the human something to think about and made her wary of his power. Sure, he knew he was pretty weak, but that by no means meant that he needed anyone's pity! He could take care of himself just fine without anyone else's charity, thank you very much! When the Pidove hopped out of the human's arms, flapping her wings and showing off in a manner that was just asking for a fight, the Paris let out a low hiss. If they wanted a fight, then so be it! But before he could lash out, he heard the notes of a soothing melody nearby, and before he could do anything to try to stay awake, he found his eyelids shutting as he fell asleep, curling up in a little ball, his back presented to the human and the Pidove in a position that left him completely vulnerable to any attacks, but it wasn't as if he could really do anything about it, what with him being asleep and all...

The bluenette couldn’t let her friend fight the enraged Pokemon, she could get hurt. She ignored her cut hand for a moment, leaving her Natural Cure ability to take care any toxins and poisons that could have been on the Paras’ claws, and picked up Eleonora to cradle. She made a decision to leave then, and would have if her bag wasn’t being cuddled against another sleeping Pokemon. From the red and black coloring on its back, she could tell it was a Ledyba, a female one from how light the coloring is. Next to the shivering Ledyba were the remains of the apple slices she left aside for the Paras to eat when she and her friend left. Knowing that Ledybas were normally shy around people and Pokemon not of their group, Seira gave a sigh and sat down where she stood. She could only wait for either Pokemon to wake up now, scaring away the Ledyba to get her bag was too cruel and maybe the Paras would have calmed down enough to just leave when it woke up as well. She didn’t keep her back to the sleeping mushroom Pokemon, though, since it attacked Eleonora because of the Altaria’s carelessness it could still attack them again. WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 ScratchThe Paras lay there on the ground, his claws moving occasionally through the soil and fallen leaves as he dreamed, his face twisting as he remembered how he had come into this world, alone among his many brothers and sisters who he had quickly gotten away from, not wanting to risk them taking all the nutrients from the region before he could get enough to grow, though with the incoming winter, he had only manage to scavenge a few scattered sources before the supplies had gotten so scarce that he'd had to go on the hunt for new ones, abandoning yet another area of the park in search of somewhere that would be able to sustain him for a little while longer, when he would have to leave that place and start the whole process over again. Thankfully for him, though, the dream was over quickly, his eyes blinking as he came back to himself. His claws flexed as he got back up, looking around. What was he doing before he fell asleep? He... couldn't remember... "Paris paris," he murmured quietly, his claws brushing at the leaves before him for a moment before he caught sight of the human and everything came back to him. She had tried to mock him with that delicacy of apple! Hissing low, he scuttled forward as quickly as he could, his claws glinting again before he swung them forward in another Scratch attack, even angrier now that she had managed to put him to sleep in addition to take a stab at his pride, something that he wouldn't stand for. He didn't need anyone's pity, and he refused to stand by idly if they were going to try to tear his dignity to tatters, not when it was the only thing he had left anymore!

From the way the poor thing shivered in her sleep, the Ledyba must be have been scared stiff when she used her Sing attack. She heard a ruffle over near the Paras, and looked just in time to see the Pokemon come at her and Eleonora with another Scratch attack. She quickly got up, her Pidove in hand as she jumped far from the still enraged Mushroom Pokemon. This time, she got hit on her upper thigh, blood trickling freely and staining her stocking, the blow mildly damaging her blue skirt. Out of the corner of her eye she could see the Ledyba waking up from the noise, eyes wide in fear and confusion. Seira returned her gaze to the Paras again as Eleonora went in for a Gust attack, not noticing one of her Pokeballs falling out of the bag to tap the Ledyba and absorb her into it. WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 ScratchThe Paras let out an angry hiss when he saw that his opponent had gotten away from him again, furious that he'd let the human who kept mocking him get away again. Even the fact that he had twice drawn blood did little to soothe the fire beating through his little body, growing taller and taller at each successive insult to his pride, and he gathered himself up again, fully intending on launching another attack at the human when the Pidove beat its wings in an attack that quickly swept him up before he could even think to avoid it. He swirled in the circular column of air for what felt like an eternity, wishing that he could relieve the pressure building up in his stomach from the dizziness it was generating, but sadly, his kind were not gifted with the ability to throw up. Instead, he was thrown out of the wind carelessly and slammed into a tree, not even managing a weak cry of protest before his body slid down to lie pathetically at the foot of it, the little dual type having slipped from consciousness and into the comfort of black, where his stomach wouldn't trouble him and neither would petty concerns like his injured pride.
THE WILD PARAS HAS FAINTED! ELEONORA HAS GAINED ONE LEVEL AND IS NOW LEVEL THREE! PARAS CAN NOW BE CAUGHT!
WILD ODDISH APPEARED! [/style] Oddish || Female || Run Away || Poison/Grass || Level 3 AbsorbThe Oddish was peacefully enjoying the sunlight streaming down to warm the soil around her and to stroke her leaves lovingly, the little plant Pokemon having submerged herself like most of her kind did and then, like all great Oddish do, she had closed her eyes and fallen asleep there. It wasn't entirely her fault she felt so tired, a lot of Grass-type Pokemon did around this time of the year when the weather started to take a turn for the colder, bringing with it frost and the instinct to hide away under the soil and wait for it to go away again. In fact, during the coldest months, it wasn't uncommon for Oddish to enter a sleep-like state that was deep enough to almost be considered hibernation, and while it wasn't cold enough or late enough for this particular Oddish to enter that point yet, she was still rather sleepy and enjoyed dozing away hours at a time under the earth. Unfortunately for her, however, it didn't look like she'd get the time to enjoy her nap right now as a sharp wind yanked her right up out of the soil, leaving her to squeal as she was whirled around and around for a long moment before she was dropped down on her rear end, her face squinched up before she started upon the touch of the ground, realizing that her ordeal seemed to be over for the moment. Blinking sleepily since although she was beginning to wake up with that incident to put some adrenalin into her system, it was still a cold enough day to make her want to just sleep it away beneath the trees, the Oddish stared at the scene before her, not really comprehending it. She saw a Pidove and a Paras and a Ledyba and a human... but what did it all mean? What was going on here? More importantly... why was she devoting so much energy to trying to figure it out when she could be doing much more productive things with it like sleep?

But that Paras would have most likely kept attacking until she either made it faint or ran. Running may have been the better idea, if the Ledyba wasn’t near her bag. Sighing she turned to see if the poor dear had flown away when it saw the fighting, to see a Pokeball from her bag in her place. Strange, did she knock it out as she flew away? Seira walked over to the ball, and noticed it was full. Oh dear, seems the Ledyba got caught… Picking up the ball, Seira set it on her belt for now. She’ll see to releasing her later, when the weather was warmer and the Ledyba flew back in.
“Pi, Pidove Pi!” Eleonora peeped as she watched the Paras. It attacked her and Seira when it had time to cool down, she was not giving it another chance to do so again. Picking up another ball from her bag, Seira walked over to the fainted Paras and tapped it with the empty ball. Eleonora chirped, wondering why she would do that. Seira pats her friend, congratulating her on a job well done. She’ll decide on what to do with the Paras later. Looking to survey the damage don’t be the Gust, Seira spots an uprooted Oddish shivering, looking very sleepy. “Oh, I’m so sorry,” Seira said, slowly walking to the Oddish to keep it from hopefully being spooked.

WILD PARAS APPEARED! [/style] Paras || Male || Damp || Bug/Grass || Level 2 Scratch The Paras lay there on the ground, its body unmoving and its vulnerable underbelly exposed for all to see, a degrading position it would have corrected immediately if it had been able to before the human walked over and touched the Pokeball to it, scooping it up into it in a small flash of light.
Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ DING! The Pokeball stilled in the human's hand, signaling that the Paras now belonged to her, regardless of how he or his pride might feel, and who knows, with any luck, perhaps he would come to understand that not everything was pity or meant to be an insult.
WILD PARAS HAS BEEN CAUGHT!
WILD ODDISH APPEARED! [/style] Oddish || Female || Run Away || Poison/Grass || Level 3 AbsorbThe Oddish swayed on her feet, stumbling over to the side a step or two in her sleepiness, thankfully for her, she managed to correct herself before she crashed into a tree, no matter how gently it would have been, steadying herself again on her own two legs. Sure, maybe sitting down would have been better, especially with how her body had started trembling from the cold air, but she didn't want to fall asleep out here in the open, and she was almost certain that if she sat herself down, she would fall asleep, that's how tired she was right now. She blinked, her little brow furrowing as the human moved, placing a Pokeball on her belt and then moving to scoop the Paras up in one as well. She had heard warnings about these types of people... Trainers, they were called. Apparently some of them could be very kind, letting their Pokemon out often and feeding them and giving them a chance to grow, but others were very cruel, almost never letting their Pokemon roam and forcing them to battle until they dropped from sheer exhaustion. She had never seen a Trainer before, content to just stay in the ground and sleep, but if this human was acting so kind, perhaps she was one of those nice Trainers? Still though, there was one thing she had heard about all Trainers that was bad, and that was that they would have their Pokemon fight each other to settle their arguments. Some had said that being a Trainer's Pokemon was like taking a crash course in how to grow up, while others said that it was a monstrous thing to have to grow up like that so quickly. This Oddish might have had an opinion herself on all this if it didn't make her poor little head hurt so much from all the thinking she'd had to do for it, the dual type not used to having to expend so much mental energy on such a complex thought so soon after she'd woken up. Before she knew it, she found herself sitting on the ground, having settled there when lost in her thoughts, and she looked up at the human with wide eyes. "Odd?" she asked, almost as if she thought the human had put her down like this.

She looked around the area for the hole the shivering dual type must have been dragged out from, rubbing her hands some on the Oddish to warm it – excuse me, her – up as the already chilly air seemed to get colder. The bluenette bit her lip when she noticed that there were a lot of holes made from the battle; they could be empty and the Altaria could placed the shivering Pokemon in one of them easily, but they could also have a sleeping Pokemon in them that would be very sour about having another Pokemon intrude on their turf. Eleonora, still warm from her small battle, moved to cuddle against the Oddish and share her warmth. “Pi pidove,” she chirped, wanting to know about the Oddish, also wanting to keep her awake until she was placed back into the ground where she could sleep.

WILD ODDISH APPEARED! [/style] Oddish || Female || Run Away || Poison/Grass || Level 3 AbsorbThe Oddish blinked in surprise when she was picked up, looking around before she saw that the human had put her arms around her and picked her up. Meh, she didn't really care, the human made a nice pillow anyway. All soft and warm... Mumbling only a sleepy protest when the fingers around her started moving, even if they did bring some warmth with them, she yawned and nuzzled her face into the other's arms, already feeling her eyes slipping shut again. She was sleepy, she couldn't help it, being surrounded by all this warmth was making her drowsy again, especially since the human was so nice. Huh... maybe not all humans were bad, like some of the Pokemon had thought. Meh, if she kept getting treated like this, she'd likely stay with this human for longer. She was warm, she got to sleep, what more could an Oddish want? Her eyes blinked open, a sleepy protest on her lips at the jostling from the side, looking over to see a Pidove cuddling up to her side. Ooooooooh, those feathers were waaaaaaaaaarmmmmmm... "Dish odd" she muttered sleepily, wriggling and squirming to press her little body against the Flying-type Pokemon to try to sleep some more. This was the life... if Trainers had all these nice things, then why did they have such a bad rap with the other Pokemon? She immediately shoved the thought away. No, she had already spent long enough thinking, right now she just wanted to catch a little bit more sleep.

She hummed as she looked, rejecting many for being too shallow, too deep or already having a Pokemon in it that looked ready to attack if she got any closer. The one hole she found that looked deep enough for the Oddish to rest in looked frozen solid, making it too cold for any Grass type to survive in. The Altaria worried her lower lip some, not sure if she should take the Oddish home like she did Eleonora. It was too cold to leave her here, she’ll freeze. Giving a foggy sigh, Seira went to her bag to get it, balancing the two Pokemon as she bent down. “Oddish?” she asked, testing to see if she was still awake. “Are you alright with me taking you to my home?” She didn’t want to frighten the Oddish if she just left. Though she seemed easy-going, the Pokemon may not like the idea of leaving it’s home like this.
