It was a pleasant day for Kyle as he had gone for a leisurely walk throughout the area, but he had to admit that he wondered where all the Pokémon were hiding. He had been hoping to find some of the little creatures running around in order to figure out where all the food grew in the area. The rumbling from his tummy told him that he was quite famished, which wasn’t surprising as he had last eaten about two hours ago. The young man was actually surprised that he hadn’t felt extreme hunger before this, but it would probably get worse in the moments to come.
”Come out. Come out. Wherever you are,” he called out to no one in particular. Kyle was hoping that if he looked friendly then the Pokémon would come out to show him where the food was, but he wasn’t sure if that was going to work or not. From what he knew, most Pokémon were naturally cautious of humans, and while Kyle knew he wasn’t completely human he still looked like one. Of course, his rumbling stomach made him sound like a monster or something that was much worse, which might also keep the Pokémon from coming out to answer his call.
With this thought in mind, he figured that he should say something to make himself seem less frightening to those who might be watching him. ”Please come out. I promise not to harm you. I am only looking for whatever it is that you eat out here,” he said even louder than before. To further prove his case, a growling noise came from his stomach, which made him rub his tummy to subside it for a moment. Truly, there could be no doubt that he was just a traveler in search of a good meal.

The sound of someone meandering around The Jungle, hollering and quite possibly dying, pulled the boys thought back to the present. Koby was fairly useless at working out what direction sounds were coming from so the boy ended up spinning around three full circles as he attempted to concentrate on the sounds from this other person. It wasn't all that uncommon to run into people here, especially those that just couldn't cut it out in the city. Thugs, misfits of all kinds. Koby found the place rather relaxing, in a strange way, it was almost as if he held a small sense of belonging. Besides, nobody really bothered you around here. One thing he couldn't understand was why someone, anyone really, would call out and draw attention to themselves. Certainly not in this place. A place crawling with unwanted, neglected Pokémon was one thing, but throw in a few homeless thugs and you had yourself a real party. There was a part of Koby that just wanted to walk in the opposite direction and leave the stranger to whatever fate he had coming. Maybe a mugging, or beating because he had nothing of value, would sort the guy out and teach him a lesson. That was about when Koby's conscious stepped in. He sighed, rolled his eyes, and stepped out from behind a piece of sheet metal that had probably once been a part of a wall. "Are you insane? Be quiet, will ya." Koby whispered with some urgency while waving a hand telling the other to get down out of sight. "Did you hit your head or something? You'll be lucky to find anything edible out here where people even try eating things that don't look so appetizing." Koby stepped back into the shadows and peered around nervously. "Get off the street and stop hollering like someone shot you in the foot."ooc// hope you don't mind me popping in; feel free to make a call on whatever Pokémon you want (after mod post XD) I'm happy with the 'leftovers'

WILD SCRAGGY APPEARED! [/style] Scraggy || Male || Moxie || Dark/Fighting || Level 7 Leer || Low Kick || Sand-Attack Huffing and shuffling, a tiny speck of yellow made its way through the near-permanent darkness, saucer-wide eyes and gleaming teeth standing out against the darkness, only disappearing when the wandering Scraggy ducked down to hide them. Surely, he made an odd sight as he pushed on, his progress unnaturally slow for such a small creature - a fact which a closer glance would reveal to be due to the way he held his sagging, peeled-off skin in front of his body, several small items resting on the makeshift basket. His big brothers all laughed at him for the way he would stumble along slow as a Slakoth, but what did they know? Snorting dismissively, the Scraggy kicked a pebble out of his path, imagining it was their stupid faces. All those idiots cared about was arguing over which of them had the better scale-mohawk, or who could steal the most scraps of food from the larger Pokémon that lurked in this darkened corner of the city. It didn't even amount to enough to feed them, for crying out loud! They just wanted to look macho, like that was all that mattered in life. Well, he knew better. He knew all the secret little places you could pick up some food around here, like the Tinymushrooms he was carrying right now, snagged from the basement of a long-abandoned building that was completely overrun with the fungus. It wasn't meat, sure, but he wasn't getting his tail kicked by something twice his size for trying to take what wasn't his, and he wasn't about to change that when he already had a good thing going here. They could laugh at him all they wanted, because he was the one going to bed at night with a full belly! A sudden rumbling growl interrupted his silent rant and sent him flinching back into an alleyway, however, dropping one of the mushrooms in his haste at the noise. Pressing his back against the wall, the reptile tried to get his frantic breathing under control, wondering what on earth could be making such terrifying noises. As if to answer him, a voice cut through the dark, and there was no way it belonged to a Pokémon; a human, then? Wait, no, humans, or at least he thought there was a faint second voice joining the first...cautiously, he shuffled back to peer pack into the street, wondering if whatever was there would let him pass. With any luck, they'd just ignore him in favor of each other. But before he could take his first careful step, something whooshed right by his head, burying itself into the wall not an inch away from his face, startling him and sending him tripping into the street with a frightened yelp, feet catching on his saggy skin and sending him - plus his mushrooms - sprawling onto the ground. Perhaps he wasn't any smarter than his brothers after all....
WILD SPINARAK APPEARED! [/style] Spinarak || Female || Insomnia || Bug/Poison || Level 10 Poison Sting || String Shot || Scary Face || Constrict Cursing mentally, the Spinarak retreated up her silken thread, eyes narrowing at the bumbling Scraggy as it flopped into the open like a ragdoll. And here she had hoped for an easy meal this time, with the way it had been distracted by the human chatter in the background. But she, too, had been distracted by her own curiosity and blundered, as the Poison Sting buried in the ancient brick wall opposite her home proved. It had been days since something had wandered past her web, which hung off a creaky, rusted fire escape that was far too fragile to hold a human's weight anymore but just sturdy enough for her - at least after she reinforced it with a few String Shots - and even longer since she had last had a decent meal. Seeing the lizard stumble by seemed like a stroke of good fortune after so long, but it would be difficult to get a good shot at him from this angle. A pang of hunger, however, reminded her that she was getting to the point where she could no longer afford to just wait around for opportunity to come knocking. Starvation was a serious concern around these parts, and unless by some miracle some fat little Pokémon wandered into her grasp, she was going to have to take a more active approach to hunting. But a Scraggy, even if she could catch it, would only feed her for so long...but then again, it wasn't the only thing around, and while stories of Pokémon taking humans down were usually limited to larger hunters, she still had her venom going for her...if she couldn't kill her target outright, then perhaps she could trap one of them until they expired from the toxin in their system. And then...well, prey that size could keep her fed for weeks. Rubbing her front legs together in anticipation, the arachnid nodded to herself. Yes, that was the plan...but she couldn't just rush in until she knew what she was up against. Soundlessly, she scaled her way up her web and onto the fire escape, and from there it was easy to grab onto the wall and skitter around the side of the building, willing to bet that the human source of the noise would either be too busy making a scene or distracted by the Scraggy to notice one little spider on the wall.
OOC: Sorry if it's bad, I'm a bit out of practice. ;w; And I suck at just attacking out of the blue. So. Yeah.

So far, nothing and no one had come along to answer his call, which made him wonder if he was completely alone in the jungle. That was actually a rather depressing thought, which was quickly erased when he heard someone talking to him. Of course, it was a rather rude someone who was bossing him around like a child, but at least it was someone to talk to. Now, all that he had to do was get the guy to talk to him in a civil tone, so that he could learn where the food was located in this area.
”One, I am not insane, but I am quite hungry. Two, although I did wake up on my floor this morning I am not sure whether my head hit the floor or the bedside table when I went down. Three, I don’t see why I need to get off the street for. It isn’t like there is anything that I need to be worried about out here besides starving to death,” he commented as he rubbed his tummy. While fighting wasn’t something he technically enjoyed, Kyle was more than confident in his abilities to handle anything that might come at him. ”Oh, by the way, my name is Kyle, and it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance.”
It was at this point that something took hold of his nose, and it certainly smelled delicious to him. Sniffing around, Kyle was determined to find the source of said aroma, and then it would be lunchtime. Well, it seemed that he wasn’t going to be required to find the source as it came tumbling into the street as if it had been tripped, so the young man rushed forward and quickly gathered up the contents of the basket. Then he placed them down beside the creature that had fallen to the ground and stared down at the small creature. ”Hey, are you okay? You took a nasty fall right there,” he said to the Scraggy.

Koby blinked at the response that was offered to him and for the longest moment had no idea what to say. A hand shifted to the bead necklace that hung around his neck as if it would offer him some comfort, or perhaps even whisper to him. The boy remained out of the street, not wanting to leave the relative safety and comfort of the shadows cast by the closely built structures. Having received no guidance from his accessory Koby dropped his hand and allowed a sigh to slowly escape.
It was difficult for the boy to fathom why this individual was so carefree like he had nothing to worry about and all was right in the world. Koby felt that he knew better, however, but didn't wish to argue the point with someone who clearly had a few apples short of an orchid. He even so willingly offered his name, like it meant nothing, which proved to worry Koby even more.
Koby's ears then caught the sound of a pokemon nearby and his hand instinctively touched the wall beside him as if to check that it was still there. He peered into the street to watch Kyle race to the Scraggy's aid. Bewildered by the other boys actions Koby couldn't help but be interested in what was going on. He moved closer, following the wall by keeping it against his right shoulder, his eyes never leaving the two figures in the street. It could be assumed, then, that Koby was much too distracted to notice the spider moving around overhead.
