Notes;; Haha, isn't SOMEONE in for a surprise? [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]A letter.
That's what started this all. It wasn't out of the normal for Akira to recieve mail... no, he got mail like everyone else - bills, advertisements... occasional packages. But never anything like this. The envelope had caught his eye right away... it's deep maroon color standing out from the white and black of the others... not to mention the lace... and the way it sparkled in the moonlight when he drew it from his mailbox.
It was... really strange.
At first, he wasn't sure if he wanted to open it or not, the appearence of the letter giving off the aura of a hoax, so the extravagant pieces of paper sat on his kitchen counter for a few days, recieving occasional glances as he walked by, or ate food... Finally, he caved, and picked the paper up, opening it to read an equally fancy paper inside.
It had to be a joke. Some cruel joke. Nobody would like him like this. Nobody would want to be seen with him romantically. So... he decided not to go.
With his decision made, Akira went on his daily activities - work, training, back to work with his day containing a split shift, and then home. There, he took a shower after his day, washing away the grime from training and the smells of food and coffees from the cafe which employed him. When he stepped out, towel wrapped around him, his newest pokemon - a young Pikachu - stood there in the middle of the rug on the floor, holding the letter in his mouth. Of course, at first all Akira did was snort and pet the pokemon, but as Tim made it harder and harder to ignore the letter, Akira gripped the towel closer to him, wishing he could shrink away into it.
But Tim was persistant. And so, with the Letter practically shoved down his throat, Akira swallowed his pride and decided to attend the location of the letter that night.
The temperature was perfect for the boy, in between cool and warm - the temperature that put him into a good mood. A slight breeze picked up here and there, bringing to him the scents of the carnival as he stopped at the edge, not quite at the park, but not at the rides either.
He was, admittedly, nervous.
Whoever sent this letter was probably an enemy, someone out to capture him... or trap him and do worse. He kept himself alert as he rested against a tree, hands rested in his pockets as he looked off to the side, trying to calm his speeding heart. The Pikachu on his shoulder nuzzling into his cheek to try and calm his trainer.
This was the time the letter specified... his "date" would be there soon. [/style] |

Whoever sent him that letter took a joke too far, and he certainly didn’t like it. At first, he was just staring at the letter, but then he intended to burn it in fire. Sitting on his bed, leaning back against the wall, he was still glaring daggers at the paper folded before him, also sparing some glances at the Nidoran next to it, inspecting it as well. Kei signaled to the purple poison type, at which he hopped next to his trainer and curled against his side, the boy petting the back of the pokemon where his spikes were. Kei wasn’t afraid of the pokemon’s poison, as he was immune to it due to his lucky DNA, so even the Nidoran was pretty comfortable with leaning against his owner.
"What do you say, Kazu, is it a trap or not?" The Nidoran looked up at the question, his nose moving with his uncertainty. Kei seemed to be looking at the letter, but in truth, he was deep in thoughts. Go or not? He was almost entirely sure it wasn’t an invitation to an actual date, so it could either be a joke or a trap. But this was way too over the top for an Epispect raid, so his other option was to think that a Team Rocket member was playing around. And when it came to Team Rocket, he could name a few members that would do this...
Eventually, curiosity won over and he got ready for what he assumed would be a fight. If nothing happened, he would at least enjoy the fair that opened up for the occasion, since admittedly, Kei would have liked to go there once... as he could never do that before. He didn’t plan to dress up fancy for the occasion, since as far as he knew it wasn’t going to be a date. He was only wearing a white button-up shirt, above is a black jacket that only reached past his waist. With his overall disposition, it really gave him the "bad boy" look, not that Kei would mind it. Kazu hopped next to him, as an indication that he would like to accompany him outside of the pokeball this time, if only to make sure the boy won’t get into too much trouble. He always seemed to pay more attention when there was a pokemon out with him anyway. With a nod, Kei exited his little apartment in the slums, and headed for the fair.
Admittedly, as Kei reached the fair, he felt himself growing more and more excited. Seeing the rides and the booths, he realized how mush he wanted to actually attend before but never found the chance or the reason to do that. And anyway, doing it alone was always way too boring and lonely. He would at least walk around this time, unless his date ended up turning into a fight.
Though, when he saw a certain person at the designated time at the designated place, he stopped in his tracks, with Kazu bumping into his leg from behind.
"Akira...?" Kei breathed out as he saw the silver-haired boy standing at a tree, wondering if this was all true or if it was still a joke. It couldn’t be that... he sent the letter, right? Kei was staring, he knew it, but he couldn’t do anything else. Was it really Akira? Kei was close enough to the other to clearly see and hear him, but not close enough yet to reach out for him. "You are here...?" Kei couldn’t find anything better to ask, since, if Akira was here for a different purpose, then Kei would get really embarrassed... not that the other way around it wouldn’t turn out awkward. His mind was hanging at the idea of Akira sending him a love-letter, and then also saying that it was a completely impossible, that he was, yet again, played around with. He, of course, didn’t know that Akira got a letter as well.
Kazu was just curiously peeking at the silver-haired boy and his Pikachu, and then back at his trainer.

Notes;; Poor Akira |D [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]As more and more time passed, Akira found the butterflies in his stomach increasing not only in number, but activity as well. He was jittery, shifting his weight from foot to foot uncomfortably as he leaned against the tree he had previously selected as his rest. He didn't like this feeling - not knowing what was to come. The mere thought that it could be a clever trap laid by epispect to capture again not only plaguing his mind, but sending constant shivers down his spine - causing anyone who may have laid their eyes on him to think he was freezing.
Taking a deep breath, the boy closed his eyes and used a quick Calm Mind to settle himself down as much as he could. He was, more than likely, over reacting - this situation couldn't be as bad as he was making it out to be... right? After all... if it did turn out to be something bad, he could just teleport away.
But he was so tired of running.
Though, the feelings of fear, nervousness and anticipation died away as he heard a familiar voice ring in his ears. It couldn't be...C-could it? Turning to face the raven haired boy who had begun to hold his affection, he felt his face heat up with a blush, light pink dusting across his cheeks. Silver eyes met Red and Akira smiled softly, he couldn't stop the action from spreading across his features, nor could he stop those butterflies from their increased activity in his stomach. There was something about seeing the other boy standing there.
As the other boy questioned, Akira nodded, He didn't realize the other boy had recieved a letter as well... but that didn't matter, none of it mattered. He was just... so relieved. Relieved that it wasn't someone who wanted to kill or capture him. Relieved that this wouldn't be a disaster. Pleased... happy to see Kei. "Y-yeah... I am... It is the specified time, after all..." The words could swing for both to their letters, not leaving any hint that he too recieved one.
But even if he knew this was an elaborate joke... he wouldn't care. Not when he had been lucky enough to be given such a "date".
Spotting the Nidoran behind the boy, Tim rose a yellow paw and waved it happily, greeting the other with a cheerful "Kaaaaa~!" He didn't expect to see another pokemon show up, but he was pleased that it was so. While his trainer was busy with this boy, maybe the Nidoran would play with him!
Pushing away from the tree, Akira moved closer to Kei, glancing to the carnival as he moved. This could be an opportunity... "Since we're here... d-do you want to go with me...?" He was a little shy with his wording, it was apparent with the way he spoke, but his eyes never left Kei's once they met them again, the same, light pink blush touching his cheeks as he awaited his answer. His thought were flying, making wild assumptions that the boy might have sent him the letter, and he might have been the one to ask him out--- Whoa, stop it right there! Kei almost shook his head to get the thought out of it. Such an absurd thing to think, really. He wasn’t even sure how the thought could even occur to him. Why would Akira ask him out, anyway. He was almost sure there was some kind of a mistake, or it was just Kei that got him imagination run wild.
Though what Akira said made his mind stop for a moment. Specified time...? Can it be? Kei’s stomach flipped once at the possibility that it might really be Akira who sent him the letter in the end, and a blush, a much more massive and darker blush than the other’s appeared on his face. "Y-yeah, it is..." He said quietly, unsure of how to respond. "...And the place too." He added, meaning this was also the spot they were meant to meet, according to the letter.
Kazu’s ears flicked as the Pikachu greeted him, and he sniffed into the air as well. He didn’t mind company, though he was a bit shy among others, one of the reasons being that he didn’t like to be touched. Or more precisely, he didn’t like how everyone got sick after touching him most of the time. His trainer was an exception, and the reason he liked Kei so much was also the fact he was immune to his poison.
Kei was still shifting his weight on his legs, and he desperately needed something to grab onto or he knew he might just fall over any moment. Without anything better to think of, he picked up the Nidoran from the ground, snaking his arms under the rodent’s forepaws, and hugging him close to his chest. Hugging something made him feel better, but he still couldn’t help those butterflies fluttering in his stomach... Kazu raised his head to look back up at his tamer with a questioning "Nido?" But seeing that Kei didn’t pay much attention, he just turned back to the Pikachu, wrinkling his nose.
Kei instinctively held Kazu closer as Akira approached, but he forced himself to relax of he might strangle the poor pokemon by the end of the night. "Yeah, sure." He said, At least as much, if not more shy than the other with his words and voice. He glanced toward the carnival ground and the rides curiously, a strange excitement flickering in his eyes as he was checking out the place. "I have never been in the carnival, you know." He said, not really sure why, but he felt the need to talk to Akira like he never did with others before. "Even though I always wanted to, I could never come. So... I’m glad we did." He felt strange saying ‘we’ instead of ‘I’, but he couldn’t really correct himself anymore without feeling more awkward.
"Let’s go...?" His voice was a bit unsure, asking if Akira was really okay with it, he took a step toward the carnival, glancing at the boy to see if he will follow too.

Notes;; N'aww, internal confession tiem~ [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]He could see the boy shifting his weight... his nervousness, he could feel it, and it heightened his own anxiety... his own feelings he was having about the situation. He didn't understand why he felt in such a way... but the blush that crept over his own face at the words he spoke... it only deepend when he saw the blush on Kei's face, dark and so prominent. He liked the fact that he could see this, he liked the fact that it was just the two of them here... and he was the only one who was seeing it. He felt possessive... he didn't want to share this.
With a nod, his own blush deeped as Kei mentioned this was the place that was specified, aand Akira couldn't contain a grin. "Yeah... It is the place." He confirmed, his tone happier than it normally would have been in any other situation. This was... admitedly... exciting. He didn't know how to handle himself entirely, he never really got excited about anything before. 'There's a first for everything though', he thought, glancing over to the carnival - staring at the rides as they moved, the lights blurring, people screaming with adrenaline coursing through their beings.
He wanted to try it.
Tim stared at the Nidoran, recieving not much more than a flick of his ear - his own ears falling back at the lack of response. He didn't understand why Kazu didn't react happily.. he thought he was pretty nice... wasn't he? Maybe the Nidoran just... didn't like Pikachu's? "Kaa..." He settled back onto Akira's shoulder, leaning agains his head, rubbing his cheek against the silver haired teen's - maybe this was some sort of display in an attempt to let the other pokemon know he was nice...?
He didn't know that Kazu was afrad of interaction. Not like the Pikachu cared, he tended to paralyze others on occasion when he was playing with them, but he'd never paralyzed Akira... maybe it wasn't when he was being lovey or calm...? "Pika~" He didn't care, Akira was happy to have him around, and even if Kazu wouldn't be his play partner while the humans were busy, he would be content with clinging to Akira's shoulder through the carnival.
The boy rose a hand to pet the Pikachu as he moved closer to Kei as the other accepted, causing his insides to flip. He accepted his offer... he wanted to go with him. This would probably be as close to a date as he would be able to get with Kei... he wanted to take as much of it in as he could. "I've never been either... I've only seen it through my window back there... Even then, it was only a bunch of lights on the horizon for me." He stopped, looking at the carnival once more. It was so... different here. The lights were of all colors, rather than one murky, dull brown. It was so alive, not motionless like he thought it to be from his window, despite the stories a couple of the scientists had told him.
He had always wanted to see it for himself.
But his father would never let him come... let alone leave the Epispect building. In a sense, he was extremely sheltered, despite his intelligence - but that was more or less book smarts. This was a whole new thing for him, and it fascinated him. To be able to share this first time with Kei was... almost etherial to him... it was something he would never forget, even if he did find his way back to Epispect and would never see the other again. The thought scared him, made his smile fade for a moment, a longing look finding its way to his features. He didn't want to go back... he didn't want to lose what he had now... He wanted more of what he had. Would his selfishness eventually lead him back...?
But a voice pulled him back to reality and he looked over to Kei, the boy looking back at him and he blinked blankly at him for a moment before the smile returned back to his face and he nodded, following the other. "Where should we start...? Is there anything you want to do first...?" To him, this wasn't about him... he'd be happy if Kei was. And since he had never been either, he wanted to do what he did... since he didn't know much about this thing. He didn't want to make himself look like a fool before Kei.
"Anything is okay with me. I'm just happy to be here." He continued, figuring he'd stop kei before the boy would possibly ask him instead. He really was just content with being with the other boy... it made him forget the fears he felt, the posibillity of what would happen in the future. He felt safe with Kei... he didn't want that to stop. He'd follow Kei anywhere he wanted to go. [/style] |

Ever since that night, he felt himself thinking back at the other boy and what they did that time. Akira right above him on the bed, half naked... kissing. And he always felt his mind black out from embarrassment and confusion after it. His reaction to the other boy was probably not normal, and something to be ashamed of, or disgusted by, but he just couldn’t help it at all. So standing there, he was still trying to avoid eye-contact, and look at either of the carnival rides, or at Kazu glancing up at him. "Ni, nido."
The Nidoran wasn’t quite into making friends, so he didn’t feel too bad when he discouraged the poor Pikachu with his attitude. Despite that he send an apologetic little sound his way, but that was all. He was content with staying away in order not to hurt or poison others, it was always to the benefit of the other party.
Kei’s arms around the pokemon tightened just a little bit as Akira stepped closer. Following his glance, he looked at the carnival as well. Unlike Akira, Kei didn’t stay away from this place because others had told him to. He would have liked to come, but he never did, maybe out of fear, or out of caution, he wasn’t sure anymore. Stepping out of the house in the slums was more dangerous for him back then. But now that he was here, anticipation and excitement started to rise in his chest. "Where to start, huh?" He echoed Akira’s question as he started walking slowly, without any direction as of yet. He glanced at Akira, a little smirk forming on his lips. "I bet you don’t even know what things are around here, that’s why you want to leave it up to me." He was teasing him only, but he wasn’t sure how rude his remark would come off on the boy. "Princess just wouldn’t know it."
He looked around to see what was the closest to their spot right then, but he only saw the booths in their way for now. The rides were a bit away, and he could see the Ferris wheel above them all. "Do you want to eat something while we walk around? They have caramel-apple." Kei pointed at a booth a bit ahead. "And chocolate banana and dango too."

Mystery Egg: 1/5 [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]It was really all Akira could do to keep his head straight while there at the carnival. There were so many people, and emotions ranging to all ends of the spectrum - love, hate, joy... he felt them all. It almost made the boy a little nauseous, but there was one mind that stood out to him the most - the raven haired boy next to him, and he took it as an opportunity to focus on him... not only because he wanted to, but because it offered him some sanity with his empathy.
Though, that probably wasn't the best choice for the boy, as the feelings he got from him were probably no better for his mind. Despite what happened that night, Akira still felt somewhat ashamed of himself for what he did. While thinking of it sent butterflies fluttering around his insides, he couldn't help but to think that he only thought of himself and what he wanted... not of Kei - not that the other boy may not have wanted such contact with someone like him. Though, in all honesty, not even Akira could deny that there was a little bit of hope that the other just may... even if he didn't know why he wanted him to.
Tim, by now, wasn't paying much attention to the Nidoran. He figured that there was probably something wrong about himself that the other pokemon saw that he didn't... so he wouldn't press the matter. He heard the apologetic sound, and glanced back toward the other pokemon, though still misunderstanding the sound. Instead, the electric type laid his ears back and continued to press his cheek against Akira's in a happy and affectionate manner, occupying himself with that instead. If the Nidoran didn't want to be friends, that was okay - he had Akira's other pokemon - at least he tried to be friendly - he told himself.
Hearing the boy speak, Akira turned to look at the rides once more, their lights blurring with their motion, the sounds of laughter and screams mixing with the music that drifted their way - only barely noting as Kei walked past him to follow the boy. Feeling the other's eyes fall to him, he tore his gaze away from the attracting colors to return the look, hoping to hear something rather than what fell from the other's lips. Blinking at his words, Akira's lips thinned before he looked down at the ground that laid before his boots as he moved. He wanted to tell the other that he knew perfectly well what they were, but he didn't exactly know what to say. He knew what they were... just... not entirely.
Raising a hand, he rubbed the shoulder of it's opposite and bit his lower lip, barely catching the comment about 'princess' and sighed, doing his best to keep the teasing tone going as he spoke, "If you mean princess by being locked away in a tower and never allowed to go outside or socialize with anyone... then you're right." Akira looked back at Kei, wearing what he hoped was a convincing smile - he didn't want the other boy knowing what he said struck something he'd rather keep hidden away.
Though, at the mention of food, Akira brightened up slightly - he hadn't eaten since breakfast... or whatever you'd call it really early in the morning... a late dinner? Either way, he knew he was hungry once again. Even if it wasn't a full meal, a snack sounded pretty good. "Food sounds... really good..." he admitted to Kei, glancing at the booth in question as he stuck his hands into his pockets. He had brought a fairly nice amount of money with him, as one thing he learned about places like this is that nearly everything cost something. Thinking back on it now, he was glad he decided to. "We can decide what we want to do while we eat." Stopping before the window, Akira smiled at Kei, warmly this time, "I'll buy." he stated before ordering a couple sticks of dango and waited for the other to decide what he wanted. [/style] |

In such a big crowd of strangers, Kei saw enemies left and right. The fact he was an illegal gijinka on top of having some trouble with the black market really didn’t help his paranoia, so he was looking around from time to time, waiting to see an Epispect hunter or a Rocket grunt going after them. The worst part was the fact that both of them were a good prey, though Kei was aware that Epispect would aim for Akira, mainly.
But on the other hand, the fact Akira was there near him made everything so much brighter, that he couldn’t help feeling hot deep inside. Of course he still remembered that night in his apartment, but the current situation slowly made his embarrassment and nervousness be blown away in the wind.
But after the nervousness, he had to worry about something else yet again. When Akira looked back at him and responded to his words, he didn’t have to be a genius to figure out he messed up yet again. It was quite a problem that he couldn’t judge whether his words would hurt anyone before he actually said them. And now there he was, verbally hurting the only person he wouldn’t want to.
‘You know, Akira... Keeping that smile and voice in check won’t hide your words away.’
Akira was good at hiding his emotions, and if he said something else instead of what he did, Kei wouldn’t have figured that his words stuck a nerve. But with that, it wasn’t that hard. Instead of commenting on it, Kei looked away sharply, and decided not to say anything back.
"Um. Okay then, let’s get food." He murmured and started toward a booth, but stopped as Akira went forward and offered to buy them himself. He made a face, obviously disliking the idea of being in debt, especially if it concerned money. He had a bad experience about paying a certain amount of money back to the black marked dealers, so if he could, he always avoided anything like this. He doubted Akira would try to turn it against him though, but even a small amount still made Kei uncomfortable...
"...A caramel-apple is okay..." He said finally, figuring that doesn’t cost as much, at least. Not like he doesn’t have money to buy anything, but he can’t start an argument with Akira in the middle of the crowd and in front of a dealer, like he did back in his room before. It can turn into a ridiculous ruckus...
"Okay, so." He cleared his throat to gain some confidence in his voice, and to get Akira’s attention again while he was getting the food. "I get it, this is your first time out here, so as weird as that sounds, I probably know more of these things than you. Which still sucks. That means we are two blind donkeys in the mist, so... Let’s just walk around?" He wants this to be a good experience so Kei will have to try and watch his mouth in the remaining time of their night together.

Notes;; Okay. We need to decide where they should hit first... :U Ferris wheel is somewhat last... so... idek.
Mystery Egg: 2/5 [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]Tucking his feelings back into the deepest, darkest parts of his mind as he stood there, waiting for Kei to order, Akira found himself staring blankly at the boy, no real thought going through his mind. And for once, he was thankful for it. He felt no need to panic, or fear that there may be someone looking for him, wanting to clasp him in chains and drag him back to Epispect. He didn't feel awkward in public, like he normally did (perhaps because of his odd appearence)... he was happy. Words that the other boy spoke, and may come to speak wouldn't ever bring him down, he knew Kei didn't understand completely what he had to go through back then, and he never wanted the boy to understand it either. Akira preferred it that way, to the point where the boy could make such comments from not thinking.
Nobody should have to understand and know such things. Nobody but himself.
Finally catching himself, he tore his gaze away to look at the ground, a light pink blush touching his cheeks as he realized he had been staring, though unintentionally... it was a bit embarrassing, and he hoped Kei hadn't noticed. After a few moments of leaving Akira staring at the ground, studying the pavement as if it were the most interesting thing on earth, the boy ordered quietly, drawing his attention back to the window as the merchent gave the price. It really wasn't much, he wasn't entirely sure why Kei didn't order more, especially if it was his idea... he bit his lower lip as he hande the money off, hoping the boy wasn't really hungry... but if he was, he supposed he could shove food at him later. And if it was a fact of money, which he figured could be a factor - his mind looking for any reason why he would seem so hesitant to order - then he would make sure to let the boy know it was no matter... he didn't want anything in return.
Nothing of that sort, at least.
Taking the Caramel apple from the man first, he turned as Kei cleared his throat, handing the treat to the other as he listened to him speak. Tilting his head slightly, he hummed before shaking it with a soft smile, "As I said before, I've read books and heard stories... seen videos and movies... so I know quite a bit... just... more book smarts than street smarts..." He admitted, sounding slightly bitter about admitting to a weakness, but it was nothing he could help, "I know what ride does what, and what all of that entails... I just..." His voice faded away before he fell silent, unsure of what he was trying to say anymore, deciding better to simply stop talking before he made himself look like a fool. Making sure the other boy had the apple, he turned back to get his own food before stepping away from the stand, looking down at the sticks in the food boat in his hand. He wasn't sure if he had an appetite anymore.
"Walking sounds nice. We can take a look around while we eat and if we find anything that interests, we can go back to it or something once we finish eating..." He rolled the dango over, inspecting it... refusing to look at Kei for the time being. Suddeny, he spoke again, more like an afterthought, something that rushed to his mouth without passing through his mind, "No crazy rides though, I hear they can make you really sick after you've just eaten... those don't sound pleasent to me anyway... even if I hadn't eaten..." Picking up one of the dango sticks, he placed the last fried ball into his mouth, leaving it there, turning to start walking, figuring Kei would follow as it was his suggestion, that nervous feeling returning once more to the pit of his stomach. [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_01.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #7f0000; bTable] Kei was trying not to be too awkward, and possibly fall back to the comforting feeling he usually have around Akira, but maybe due to what happened way back, and what happened now, he was more nervous about the outcome for now. He took a deep breath and decided it would be best to just concentrate on the conversation instead. When he didn’t speak, he was absentmindedly nomming at the caramel apple he got, noting barely that it is yummy and sweet; he made a good choice wanting to get that. If anything, the sugar may make him less nervous.
"Well, book-smart is usually useless when it comes to experience. No offense." He glanced at the other, but continued on as they were slowly walking along the stalls. "You just never tried them yourself. I get it. I wasn’t around too much either, so as I’ve said, none of us know what exactly to do here."
‘If it was up to me, I could just sit down on a bench with you and talk, I wouldn’t mind’, Kei thought, but of course didn’t dare to say it out loud. He wasn’t that bold, and the mere though of saying something remotely sappy made him blush into his caramel apple. When Akira mentioned eating, Kei glanced over and noticed the boy didn’t even take a bite of his food, and frowned deeply. He wondered if Akira was hungry at all when they ordered the food, or if he just went along with Kei – who, admittedly, was usually hungry enough for anything. It was probably a "side-effect" of being a slums boy, but he got used to not being on a full stomach twenty-four slash seven.
"I agree about the no crazy rides. I hate those. I tried one sometimes way back and swore never again." He growled, somewhat shuddering at the memory of a ride where not only his stomach but his whole body made flips all around, and he spent the rest of the day laying down on a bench, or occasionally in the grass, since that seemed to be much cooler. "Something where we can take our time and just generally can have fun without meeting our lunch would be better." He said with another nod, noting that Akira finally started eating. At least he didn’t have to worry about that. But he still had to tear his eyes away from the other’s mouth where it lingered, and he frowned. ‘What the hell, get a grip!!!’
"I-I think the fun house is closest." He pointed in front, hoping he could cover up the fact his voice broke for a moment, or at least Akira wouldn’t notice it.

Notes;; I'm sick... next post will be better, and I'll describe more then. I'm sorry. x__x
Mystery Egg: 3/5 [/style][style= padding: 10px; margin-left: 110px; font-size: 12px; font-family: century gothic; color: #000000; text-align: justify; line-height: 15px]Slowly, the nervous feeling that ebbed at his heart began to melt away, taking some of the tension he was experiencing away with it. Maybe it was the sweet flavor of the fried dessert in his mouth, or the fact that, despite what had been said, he wasn't completely bothered by it. He knew that Kei didn't mean to strike a nerve... the boy had little to no clue about what all he had been through, he couldn't blame him - and he wouldn't. Though, as he continued on speaking, Akira remained quiet, thoughtfully chewing on the desert in his mouth. What Kei was speaking of... wasn't exactly what Akira had meant, but he didn't want to make the other feel bad by saying the wrong thing - so he let it be, it wasn't a big deal anyway.
It was his first time... a learning experience, something new for him - and he was experiencing it with the one person who meant the most to him, that's what did matter.
With a smile touching his lips at Kei's words, Akira simply nodded. The other boy had experience with such rides that the silver-haired teen himself never wished to have... his words only confirmed those of others - as he trusted Kei more than he did the workers of Epispect. "There's plenty to do at a fair other than crazy rides... so we should be able to find plenty to do..." His voice trailed off as he ate another ball off the stick, finishing the one off to spin the stick between his fingers in thought, "Nothing says we have to stay here all night either..." It was true... there were several things they could do... if Kei wished to stay with him through the night at all.
Feeling the other's eyes on him, Akira paused to turn and look at him, his smile still on his lips, though now directed at the other, nodding at his words. "The funhouse is a good place to start... it shouldn't be too bad..." With these words, the teen looked to the food in his hand, thinning his lips, "We should finish eating first though..." Setting the empty stick back in the paper boat, he pulled the second out, rolling it as he did the empty stick between his fingers, inspecting it, "And I don't think they'd let the pokemon inside with us..."
With that, Akira slowly finished his food and pulled out Tim's ball once reaching the entrance and pulled the little yellow mouse into it, knowing the pokemon understood and threw his garbage away, preparing for the house. He knew only a few of the things that would be inside, and he was excited to actually go inside one... but hid the excitement away, not wanting to appear like a little child, he figured it was probably impossible to do so... but he tried regardless. "We'll start here then... ready?" [/style] |

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_01.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #7f0000; bTable] Kei was nomming thoughtfully on the caramel-apple, holding Kazu to himself with only one hand. The spikes on the little poisonous rodent’s back were poking onto his chest, but he felt it to be more comforting than actually painful. The fact he wouldn’t be poisoned by the pokemon was another things he was glad about. He rubbed the side of the Nidoran’s belly absentmindedly while Akira talked, listening more to the voice itself than actually registering the words.
He hummed in acknowledgement, even though his mind didn’t hear Akira’s words, but Kei could restart his brain by the time the other gijinka was talking about the fun house. He nodded again, quickly swallowing the remains of his apple before dropping the stick it was on into the trash can. He was wondering about the fun house, and even though he did say they should go there first, he didn’t know anything about how it looked inside or what he should expect. He was in a haunted house once, and during the whole trip inside he was wishing to get out. Not because it was remotely scary, it’s because the place was too small for his liking.
"Hey..." He turned hesitantly to Akira as the other called the Pikachu back into his ball. "Is it like a Haunted House inside...? You know, with small rooms and corridors all around...?" He was trying to sound simply curious, but he would actually be worried to enter if he knew his discomfort toward small and closed-up places would show. He wasn't even sure if Akira knew it better than him. He didn’t want to make Akira feel awkward in case he seemed too nervous inside the house, so he couldn’t help but ask. Pulling out Kazu’s pokeball as well while waiting for the answer, he called the poison type back and secured the miniature ball in his pocket.
He took breath, just naturally, so Akira wouldn’t notice it. He has never been in a fun house, because it was more closed-off compared to all the other entertainments and rides in the carnival, so he wasn’t sure what to expect right now. He would just let Akira lead and the figure what the place was about. He glanced to the side and up for a moment, catching the sight of the Ferrish-wheel in the not so far away distance... before looking back at Akira with a nod. "Ready." He said before following the other into the fun house.
