It's not like he couldn't live without them either. But when he is asked to gather team members and train them for future use, he can't really say no.
Riki just sneaked past the people standing guard by the entrance of the cave to get deeper into the area in hopes of meeting some pokemon inhabiting the cave system. The tall Epispect guard wasn't sure why exactly he needed a team of pokemon when he himself was a gijinka already, but a certain reasoning made him not to ask any questions. If he had to go against a number of high-leveled pokemon alone in a fight, he knew he wouldn't stand a chance, and he couldn't be doing his work right. Though truth to be told, he wasn't alone already.
Lenna, his little companion was tottering after him like all the time, making sure to keep up with her trainer's big steps as they were walking into the area. Riki was wondering if he should take this opportunity to make his Scraggy stronger too. Glancing down at the pokemon, he was sure the little fighting type was itching for a fight and to get stronger. The young man was sure it wasn't a problem, and if the situation called for it, he could always fight himself as well.
"How about it, Lenna? Do you want to try yourself out?" The response coming from the pokemon was obvious, she would be willing to take on anything that came to their way in order to get stronger. Riki nodded with a smile and turned back to the way before them. It was still the afternoon, and he planned to get back to headquarters before night, but who knows what might happen in here. A small delay was alright, since he was out with permission, and pretty much everyone knew why.
"Then let's keep going."
tags ★ Mod~ notes ★ Just throwing up a mod thread for this guy. It's either only the Scraggy fighting, or both, so roll levels accordingly. =3

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Sandshrew || Male || Sand Veil || Ground || 09 Scratch || Defense Curl || Sand-Attack || Poison Sting || --A human had apparently lost a device that contained music, the music on it was from an older era as well. However, the new owner much enjoyed this music himself, as he was currently strutting through the caves listening to it. Wiggling his little hips as he moved, and stopping from time to time to thrust them forward with his little claws behind his head.
"Sa, San, Sa, San, Sandshrew~," it squeaked as it continued to strut its stuff with the music player wrapped around its body. It had been an inventive one, using vines and such to tie the device to it. It seemed well entranced in its own little world as well, to not notice the human and his pokemon that was with him.
(Pokemon Translation: I'm just a love machine~)

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_01.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #7f0000; bTable] Riki had to glance down from time to time to make sure Lenna could keep up with his long steps, but he was worrying for nothing – the Scraggy was fine and could stay close to him, despite the fact she had to pull up her 'pants' so not to trip on them. Riki was wondering sometimes why Scraggy had that weird skin, but on the other hand, it made them hilariously endearing. He liked Lenna for it, even though she was a complete brat sometimes, not to mention a city-loving "bad girl".
Lenna noticed the Sandshrew approaching pretty quickly, and Riki wasn’t too far behind. At first, he wasn’t sure what the pokemon was doing, but when it dawned on him, he stopped in his tracks and just... stared. "Is he doing what I think he is doing...?" The question was meant for no one in particular, and Lenna was already busy puffing up her face and pouting at the Sandshrew. Is that dancing? Seriously? That ground mouse didn’t know what dancing was until he saw someone like Lenna show her break-dancing skills, she was sure.
The Scraggy walked up to the Sandshrew, arms folded in front of her chest, and if the other pokemon failed to noticed her, she would most probably held out her leg to make the other trip. "Lenna..." Riki tried to warn the pokemon, but he didn’t really want to hold her back from doing anything. Until it turned into a fight, he usually let his pokemon do whatever they wanted and spoil them senseless, even though his higher-ups – and many others at the company – considered him too easy-going because of it.
"Scra, scraggy!" She was still looking at the Sandshrew as if he needed some dancing lessons, and she also mentioned it to him, quite straightforward.
tags ★ Mod~ notes ★ omg this sandshrew ahahahaha Also, do they hear the music, or is there a pair of headphones on the Sandshrew as well...?

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Sandshrew || Male || Sand Veil || Ground || 09 Scratch || Defense Curl || Sand-Attack || Poison Sting || -- Continuing his strut dance, he was suddenly aware of a presence right up on him. Raising an eyebrow at the Scraggy, as it seemed to be sizing him up. Although he could tell she was female, the sandshrew stroked his chin giving her a once over. This woman was hot, if he did say so himself, little claw positioned under his chin as he nodded. When the human spoke, he looked towards him and raised an eyebrow in curiosity. It was hard understanding what they said a lot of the time, but when it came to this music, he could get the message clear.
Then the Scraggy spoke, talking about his dancing skills, "Sand, Sandshrew, San." If she wanted to try saying his skills weren't there, she better have the skills to make a claim about it. He made a gesture with his hands to signal that she should show what she's got. Holding his hand out to the human and gesturing that he should keep out from between the two of them, cause this thing was about to blow the roof off.
(They can hear the music as well, if you have song preferences feel free to mess with the thing as well)

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_01.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #7f0000; bTable] Riki sighed. He knew if Lenna was up to something, there was no way he could interfere that easily. He just stand back, arms folded, watching the two tiny – by his standards – pokemon to play it out by themselves.
Lenna had her hands positioned on her hips as waited for the Sandshrew’s reaction, She wasn’t bothered by the looks he was giving her as long as the pokemon kept his opinions to himself and didn’t touch her. He would just receive a Low Kick low enough to hurt, but if it was only about dancing, she could cope without a fight. She raised her chin with a hum when the music in the player switched to a high-beat techno, the bass resonating in the tunnel and Lenna tapped her foot to the beat. This will do, she though.
The music was just right for her street dance skills to show. She swayed her hips and upper body to the beat strongly, keeping her hands where they were the whole time. She didn’t want to go into a too flashy dance right from the start, because she had to keep some nice little surprises for later, in necessary. With her current demonstration, she just showed she had the style and sense for the beat right where a pro’s, and she wasn’t afraid of showing more. Swaying to the beat she forcefully shot one arm out to the side and made a swift turn with the buoyancy, keeping the dance to the beat while waiting for the reaction.
tags ★ Mod~ notes ★ Sorry about being late, I lost my muse but now I'm trying to get back on track. Also gotta love that Sandshrew~ <3
