"No. Please, no. Please, spare me!"
The tip of the syringe stabbed into the bottle of serum. With a hesitance, Nurse Caroline held her breath. Did she really have to do this again?
"Please... I have a family! Please!"
Once the serum hit the desired line, Caroline flicked the needle, and squeezed some of the liquid out to assure the syringe was working properly. When the subject on the operating table saw this, they began to thrash even more wildly than they were before. Their cries grew louder, if that was possible.
"NO! PLEASE!"
Caroline let her gaze slowly wander to the monitor. "All levels are stable. Proceeding with the euthanasia..."
With a gulp, Caroline stuck the needle into the victim's vein. The strong, muscled men made sure that they didn't thrash too much so as to make Caroline's job harder... if that was even remotely possible. Caroline squeezed the end of the syringe until all of the serum seeped out. She turned away immediately after.
"I'm so sorry..."

That was almost four hours ago.
As soon as her horrible, wretched job was done, Caroline made sure to get out of the Headquarters as fast as she could. As her coworkers bid her a good day, she just walked swiftly past them. Her entire body felt numb. After every procedure like this one, that's all she ever felt. Numbness, all the way to her core.
She just needed to escape and get out of there as quickly as she could. Where she was going was unknown to her, but by the time exhaustion settled in, she found herself in Aether Park. There was a bench nearby, so she took a seat. Every movement she made seemed catatonic; she definitely wasn't in the right mind set right now. The world and people passed by her like a blur, while her own world seemed to slow down.
It took all she had to hold the tears back. "Why did I... why is it my job..."
Caroline buried her face in her hands and grasped what she could of her hair in her fingers that were slowly enclosing into fists. There were many people walking around Aether Park, but Caroline felt so alone. So terribly alone.

Solo was roaming the city scoping it out, so that he could find the best route to enter that building. The Headquarters to the Epispect Company. They had killed his parents, and now he was in their city, their home turf, and he was going to ruin them. He didn't care though as long as he had his vengeance. Once he was done with them, he was going to turn his attention to the humans that wondered around the world, and eradicate them. His leader wouldn't have to know about that though, no that could wait for later. A smirk appeared on his lips that revealed the razor sharp teeth concealed within. Running through the city at breakneck speed he soon came upon the park. He was bored, and had nothing better to do, and figured that he could at least find some poor soul to torture.
That was when he saw the woman on the bench, and she didn't seem very happy. In fact she seemed sad, and his first thought was that she would be very easy to take advantage of. His normal attire present he began walking up to her. Solo wore his white button up shirt undone completely to reveal his chest, and abs underneath. A pair of black cargo shorts, and sandals. He looked like he was going to the beach, and a few moments later he was upon her. "Hey whats cookin, good lookin? Didn't anyone ever tell you that beautiful girls aren't suppose to cry?" he said to her smiling widely to reveal the jagged sharp teeth within. Of course had he been paying attention he would have noticed that she worked for the very same place that he hated with a passion.

Nightmares and dreams… it had become a difficult task to differentiate the two. For nearly a decade now she felt the qualms of the past haunt her. The visions of what could not be forgotten.
Even now she could still hear the thrashing sound of furniture hitting the floor and the voices of her parents screaming in anger and terror. The sound echoed and echoed in her head and the vision couldn’t be clearer. She could still feel the tingling sensation and jolts of electricity run through her body. Her body had become obedient to pain. Yes, it had nearly been a decade since she first began having her endless series of nightmares. But by then her tears had begun to dry out leaving only the sensation of fear within her. Fear that she would be found again.
Once more she felt that same jolt of electricity. It brought her back to reality though the feeling had only been a figment of her consciousness telling her to wake up. She couldn’t afford to stay in one spot. When she came to, she had found herself cradling her knees to her chest on a bench in Aether Park. For a moment she felt a sense of safety knowing that her worst fear had yet to find her. She felt the urge to stay in her current position, unmoving, unbroken, but her chest had told her otherwise. She felt her heart race, and soon enough, her eyes began to take note of her surroundings. They flashed left and right as paranoia kicked in.
She moved her feet rather slowly, placing it back to the ground cautiously. She hugged her arms to her chest as she quickly left the bench. She traversed through the park, searching for a way to escape. Though no one had been following her, she still felt that sense of danger lurking around. It wasn’t long before she found Caroline and Solo unintentionally. Looking closely at the two, she could see Solo’s wide grin. He fancied his sharp teeth around while the girl before him spent her time crying.
Never once was she known for being impulsive, yet watching the girl had caused her body to move on its own. She quickly approached the two, and pushing past the blonde male, she had grabbed hold of the other girl’s hand. She pulled her away and began to walk off like a protective older sister. While she hadn’t known the other girl, there was a fragment of hope that wished that she were like her, and in many ways, they were.
If there was anything she was sure about right now, it was that she felt an extreme dislike for the blonde male.

As if she couldn't feel any worse.
The presence of another made her stifle her crying just a bit, but when he mentioned it, she couldn't help but shed her tears again. "Please, leave me alone..." She seemed to do a good job of ignoring the blond male, and she never even noticed his flashy, sharp teeth. If she had, she probably would have been scared out of her wits, but she suddenly felt a force tugging on her hand. It was strong and demanding, so she couldn't help but be dragged away since she was feeling so meek and brittle.
As she was being pulled, her free hand swiped at her face to rub away the tears. It was rather embarrassing, now that she thought about it. Sobbing in public like that. Caroline bit her lip and looked at the girl who was dragging her away. She then looked over her shoulder at the man who had approached her, who was becoming quite distant by now. "Ah... um..." Caroline was at a loss for words. What exactly was going on?
"Thank you." she stuttered, "But why did you do that?" Caroline still could not tell that the man had a menacing smile, for they were too far away.

Solo was quiet taken aback by the sudden action of the unknown girl as she took away the crying woman. Instead of just letting it go as a normal person would he got a slight bit irritated, and wanted to eat them. Easily running towards them where they stopped he let loose a toothy grin at the two females, and managed to stay at a distance from them. His cold blue eyes staring at the two of them, and all the while he was revealing his razor sharp teeth. Something was familiar about the woman crying, but he couldn't quiet place his finger on it. Though he would find out soon.
"That was quiet rude taking her away from her sniffling like that. I was only going to make her feel better." he said flashing another razor sharp smile. They both looked as if they would be good in bed. Grinning at the thought he tilted his head to the side waiting for one of them to say something. If they attacked him he would tear them shreds. No one would be able to defeat him.
