It's not as much as he doesn't trust a lot of people, which he doesn't anyway, as much as it is people don't seem to like him... or are simply too intimidated by him to stick around and get to know him. Though, truth be told, the man doesn't seem to mind this too much, as he prefers to stick to himself more than socialize... but even the most sinister of demons needs someone around, no? A friend or two would be something good for Oliver, whether it's someone to be there to get his back when he gets in over his head, which he does quite a bit, or to just keep his head screwed on in the right direction. He'll need someone he can trust, someone who he knows will have his back. He may have more than the head count of his followers. But this doesn't bother him either, firmly believing in the words: "You have enemies? Good. That means you've stood up for something, sometime in your life". To him... the more you have, the better a track you're on. And just because he's the leader of Team Rocket, doesn't make all his enemies from Epispect. If you don't side with him, even in being neutral, you're against him - he'd gladly take you down if that were the case. Neutral, epispect... hell, he even thinks he has enemies among his own ranks. One can never be too careful... but he loves a good fight, so he'd gladly throw all caution to the wind to test out the loyalties of anyone. Thus, if he were to fall in love, he would be loyal, protective and would even be willing to give his life for that person - it's all he knows, it's what he thinks love is about. However, this doesn't consist of simply love, no, extended family, people he sees as brothers, sisters... his adoptive father. This is the hardest category to fall under, not only for the fact that he doesn't know what love feels like, and a crush is the most confusing thing on the planet to him, not knowing if he were to have one or not, but he's not willing to give his heart out to just anyone.
