Again. The part of the Abandoned Sector he was sneaking into was quite close to the Jungle where Kei usually tried to fight off the more troublesome gangs and vicious or even mad gijinka who wanted nothing but cause chaos. Kei wasn’t quite happy by their wrong-doings, and as someone who couldn’t just stay put, of course he had to go and play the hero. With more or less success, usually.
It was a gang fight again, quite loud at that too, so he was sure they attracted some unwanted attention as well. Considering the fight’s continuation to be useless, Kei left the scene after making sure at least some of the delinquents understood it was a bad idea to indirectly pick a fight with him. The justice of the slums? Yeah, that was probably him.
He peeked out from behind a ruined building, back toward the Jungle where he came from. He wasn’t sure if anyone followed him from the fight scene, but he knew it was a mess enough to attract even a Team Rocket member or Epispect hunter. Either of those were bad news for Kei, the former due to their leader, the later due to the fact they wanted all the illegal gijinkas collected. Kei had better things to do than offering his blood to the company just because they wanted their precious DNA back.
He pulled the hood of his dark grey shirt on his head, leaning back against the building's moldy wall. He calmed his senses and scanned the surrounding area with his aura. Was anyone around? He didn't know yet, but he needed to make sure no one would follow him back home, or he would have more trouble hiding from them.
On the other hand, he wasn’t quite fond of hide and seek either.

Two birds on a wire; one tries to fly away And the other watches him close from that wire Silent. As silent as the slums of the area can get. The constant illicit chittering of the people next door or down in the street and the far away howl of a dog were practically the only noises. There was a small sort of smile from him, leaning back in his chair and indulging himself in the words of Edgar Allen Poe. Magnus was one of the few breeds of men who liked the quiet, revelled in it, in fact. Licking the pad of his thumb, he flipped the page again, eyes wandering to the first sentence when he was suddenly disrupted by what sounded like a commotion just a street over. Squinting, he tried to ignore it, only to have the noise escalate until he swore he could hear every insult about everybody’s mother and perhaps a goat or two. Unable to concentrate on the words any longer, he got up and glanced out the window to see quite the scuffle happening at the end of the street. He clenched his teeth in annoyance, jaw tensing as he grabbed his coat and practically kicked his door closed behind him. If he couldn’t read tonight, he might as well find another way to entertain himself. Emerging on the streets below, he began to stride towards the commotion and tilted his head in mild curiousity. Probably some little petty gang battle that would easily scatter at the sound of a stranger’s gun. As Magnus strode towards the fight, he caught something out of the corner of his eyes. Blue wandered over to the space between two buildings, and he took a step backwards to glance in. A boy stood there, quiet and all by himself. He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar I believe it all; there’s nothing I won’t understand

Will these guys ever shut the hell up?’ Even Kei could hear that they were still going at it in the fight even though he was far from them already. That is why he hated the slums delinquents so much. They had no self control and didn’t know when to stop if it is already a meaningless fight. He sighed softly into the chilly night air. Scum will remain scum, himself included.
He only felt one person approaching, and before he could relax, seeing the man walk past the small walk-way he was standing at, he actually peeked back in at him. Kei was debating making a run, but decided against that. Wouldn’t it make him more suspicious? Red eyes were glaring at the stranger looking at his way, eerily calm as Kei was trying to figure out what this person was. He did look human, but he felt different. Kei learned to believe to his aura readings way back when he became an illegal gijinka, so he knew, if he made a wrong move, he could be in trouble.
But acting as a slums delinquent in this situation can still be considered normal. He pushed his hands into the pockets of his hoodie, and raised his head a bit. "What? You need something?" He asked in a nonchalant tone, which actually wasn’t much of an acting – he was still pissed at those others back there, who were still making a ruckus. Though considering this man was also at the edge of the Jungle at night, he was way to calm for the situation as well, and that was enough for Kei to tell that they were either a powerful, genetically modified human, or just a crazy person. Or a little of both.

Two birds on a wire; one tries to fly away And the other watches him close from that wire The guy hiding in the alley was small, considerably shorter than he was, and by the circumference of what he could see of his wrists and neck, wasn’t as heavily built either. Finally taking a step back so he was standing in the mouth of the alley instead of glancing backwards, he began a brief analysis of what he could gather and see. The hoodie that covered his head, pulled over his brow; the way he tilted his head up, almost pointing his chin at him. Confidence, but wariness. Basic behavioural reactions. His tone was calmer than the ruckus that was happening at the end of the street, and Magnus took another glance towards the small mob. It was just beginning to clear up, a few stragglers walking away wounded or disinterested. There were few problems he found himself unable to face, and this one was being taken up nicely, though it distracted him from his books. Ludwig would also probably ask him where he’d been all night. ”No, not at all...” A simple answer to a simple question, polite, as if he didn’t belong in these parts. Heck, he didn’t even think he belonged in these parts; they were damned savages with no class, for all he cared. Just because one was able to harm others, didn’t mean blunt instruments and hollow-mouthed threats were the way to go. Magnus was so much more refined when it came to his victims. Heading back to the motel wasn’t going to get anything productive done, but lingering around here was just stupidly boring. He tilted his head in faint curiousity again, reaching up and tipping his cap towards the boy. ”I don’t think you need to hide anymore. The fight’s clearing up.”He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar I believe it all; there’s nothing I won’t understand

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,430px,true][atrb=cellspacing,0px,true][atrb=style, width: 410px; background: url(http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u200/c_crimson/posting%20templates/bg_14_01.png); padding: 10px; border-top-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-topright: 30px; border-bottom-right-radius: 30px; -moz-border-radius-bottomright: 30px; border-left: 15px solid #7f0000; bTable] Kei wasn’t sure where to place this stranger talking to him, but he knew at least one thing: he clearly wasn’t one of the thugs around here. If anything, his disposition was a major giveaway, but on the other hand, the calmness he held himself with told Kei that this man wasn’t as unfamiliar with this area as some of the higher class people wandering into here. Kei didn’t want to draw a simple conclusion though, instead, he was just simply watching the other.
He heard the crowd getting quieter, so the man only received a small shrug as a reply first, as Kei tilted his head toward where the fight originally broke out at. "I couldn’t care less about them." Kei usually entered a fight only when he saw no other choice, or to prevent people doing something that he was sure they would regret later. But in any case, he hated to deal with humans the most, because they usually couldn't protect themselves against gijinka as well. And the majority of the people making a ruckus back there were all humans. "They probably got bored beating each other up."
"Go home and sleep, old man." He pushed himself away from the wall, turning his back on the stranger to walk away toward the other end of the alleyway. He didn’t want to keep chatting with a random person, especially not when he could tell from his aura that he wasn’t an ordinary human being. He could smell trouble, but unfortunately, trouble had an affinity with him as well. He had a feeling things won’t go as smoothly as they did up until then, and when he saw two figures running toward him from the end of the alley, he knew this night will keep him occupied for a little bit longer. "Oh boy, not again." Those two were probably not looking for Kei, but they recognized him as one of those who was at the fight before, and decided to come at him for whatever reason. Kei knew they were humans. But they probably didn’t know he wasn’t one.
His eyes flashed crimson for only a moment before Kei’s Extremespeed took him to the other side of his attackers, his hood falling from his head from the motion. The two men fell limp to the ground, knocked out. He stood above them for a moment, watching to make sure both of them were still breathing.
Humans never learn.

Two birds on a wire; one tries to fly away And the other watches him close from that wire It was a nice night… and he couldn’t help but wonder how he was thinking about that when there was a fight going on down the street, though it was dying down a good amount. Perhaps he’d grown numb to whatever happened around him; aware, but numb. A fight in the street was like any other bloody fight in the street, and he walked past them without a care now that he had nobody but himself to look out after. He felt the annoyance spike as he was called an old man. Still, he felt his demeanor pleasant, almost silent and with a small nod as the boy began to walk in the opposite direction. Go ahead, his mind sparked, turn your back towards me… Magnus wasn’t about to act on that thought tonight though… at least for now. He was really going to let the dark haired boy go, wandering off to do his own thing and perhaps reading about how some teenaged kid in a dark hoodie got murdered a few weeks prior. Perhaps. He’d shake his head, say that was a shame and then go on as if nothing had happened, like he did with everything else. That was until the boy practically sliced two men who were running at him in half with an extremespeed. Oh yes, he recognized that move when he saw it, and he watched on with vague curiousity. Ah, so his intuition was right after all; this boy wasn’t one of those regular sorts. Now, Magus wasn’t one for random fights; they wasted his energy and his resources, and he wasn’t being paid to do that. The risk of injury was also pretty fair, and he wasn’t being compensated in any way for the risk he was taking. All in all, random fights were bad investments. But he hadn’t killed anything in a long time. He hadn’t gotten one of those dead-or-alive missions for weeks. He was feeling that familiar itch again. Still pleasant, though cool and distant, he spoke towards the boy, taking a couple steps forward to where he’d previously been standing. ”That’s rather interesting. What are you, exactly?”He says he wants to as well, but he is a liar I believe it all; there’s nothing I won’t understand
