★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Channa is not the life of the party by any means; in fact, she would probably not show up to the party at all if given the opportunity. Channa lives vicariously through her career as a physician, spending every waking hour focused on saving the lives of her patients. She is cold and calculating, but not without love for others. She considers her job not just a career, but also a passion in life and every human is worth saving. No one could say if she would be able to live though one of her patients passing away on her watch. Channa has a no nonsense attitude toward life and won't tolerate any horseplay on the job.
Having elements of pokemon herself, Channa feels a strange connection with them, but doesn't own any. She feels that she is no different from them and that they deserve respect. In many ways, she sees pokemon the same way Native Americans see other creatures; as "brothers".

"I wish you would come back."
The Luxio's ears drooped solemnly, infiltrated by the buzzing ring of crickets and cicadas. She left the river, pursuing the Gengar that bounced out of her life as quickly as he had entered it. Her plodding paws gingerly kicked up the leaf-strewn turf with every passing press, venturing further into the thick cluster of trees and brush that loomed over her. Soft gales of wind rustled the vibrant green foliage, casting the waxy leaf litter about like soft tides rippling through the branches.
Channa's heart was bombarded with the foreboding feeling of once again being marooned. These are the moments when she longed for the safety of her parents and siblings. The spark Pokémon turned her countenance toward the heavens, barred by spindling black branches and vegetation. Despite the ocular disruptions, she could see the shining bodies of stars against a soft sky; dark and deep like black velvet. Curling her star-tipped tail in determination, she continued on her trajectory.
Beyond the rigid tree trunks that bloomed with the shining leaves of summer and the crawling ivy that convoluted like vibrant serpents along the ground, constricting the dusky rocks that protruded from the cool earth, there was something that caught Channa's attention. The Luxio's ears pricked up at a myriad of voices emanating from beyond the cloak of brambles and brush. One voice seemed to lead the others into bursts of laughter, very much like how a conductor directs a merry symphony.
Channa shook her mane, crouching into the foliage that enveloped her. With caution, she inched ever closer toward the cloaked personages, their voices rising and falling like the ocean's tide. Furrowing her brow in concentration, she carefully locked her gaze upon the small congregation of assorted Pokémon, enjoying a life of leisure around a campfire, bathing a familiar half-moon grin with its gilding glow.
"So I said to him, 'you're so lazy, you should've been born a Slaking!'"
The other Pokémon burst out in guffaws.
"Ain't that the truth," affirmed a Mightyena, closing his eyes and lowing a yawn of contentment into the night.
"Hey!" bellowed an irritated Ursaring, reposed upon a makeshift bed of leaves and branches. A short silence followed as the hulking creature attempted to think of a viable rebuttal to combat the charges made against him. "Whatever. You guys aren't even worth the effort." He lifted his paw in dismissal.
Laughter erupted once again.
The fortunate Luxio couldn't believe the sight that met her gaze. Ears perked forward and tail curled in excitement, she bounded from her encasement of foliage, eyes wide with joy toward the smirking Gengar.
"Hey Joe!" Channa's paws landed onto the turf, glowing with flickering firelight that danced wildly about.
At the appearance of the spark Pokémon, all activity ceased as though she had brought some ill omen upon the small cabal. Joe stood upon his stumpy legs, cocking his head to the side in mock confusion.
"Oh hey there... uh..."
"It's Channa, remember?" the Luxio chirped.
"Oh yeah, that's right," the shadow Pokémon affirmed "So what's been going on? Hopefully you haven't been getting into more trouble."
"Joe!" a slim Umbreon piped up "Don't leave us all out of the loop. Why don't you introduce us to the little zapper?" he motioned toward Channa.
"Don't be rude, Mazer." A Rapidash's hooves clip-clopped toward the Luxio, a kind smile spread across her muzzle. "You'll have to forgive him little one, he just doesn't know how to talk to pretty girls." she winked "My name is Ruby, and I promise we're all perfectly nice here."
"Well that's a relief to know" the spark Pokémon returned Ruby's smile with one of her own.
"Don't tell her lies, Ruby. We're all terrible and we'll steal from you while you sleep" the Mightyena snickered.
"That's Corvus and don't worry, he doesn't really mean that." The Rapidash reassured her self-appointed charge.
"I didn't worry too much," Channa responded "I can take care of myself."
"Oooh, someone's a scary kitty." Mazer teased.
A groan emanated from the snoozing Ursaring as he rolled onto his back, using his immense claws to relieve himself of an irritating itch.
"Tank's the sleepy one over there." Corvus motioned toward the slumbering beast "You'll meet him when he wakes up. He's a pretty cool guy...I guess."
"You guess?" The hibernator Pokémon growled.
"Oh good, you're awake!" the Mightyena stated matter-of-factly "Introduce yourself to our new friend Channa."
"What's the point? You already did it for me." Tank stretched, returning to his previous state of sleep.
The Luxio's heart felt overjoyed; it was as though electricity surged from her haunches, stretching through her extremities and released through her claws. She closed her eyes in contentment, allowing the flurry of activity to swirl around her.
Joe sat toward the campfire's celestial glow, mind turning in pensive meditation. He kept quiet, allowing those around him to swirl about in activity and conversation. He dropped his head, supporting it with a small purple hand.
"So tell me, what can we do for you Channa?" He finally inquired after a lengthy silence.
"Oh right!" she exclaimed "You see, I kind of wanted to know if I could join the Peacekeepers too! I mean... you're all members of the Peacekeepers, right?"
The air of mirth slowly died down as each Pokémon looked at one another, nodding assent.
"Well yeah, we all joined the Peacekeepers some time ago," Ruby ventured. "But it's really not easy."
"I didn't expect it to be easy. That exactly why I wanted to join." The spark Pokémon responded cheerily.
"Look, I don't think you're taking this seriously" Mazer said tersely, the Umbreon flicking his ears forward as he spoke. "You seem nice and we're telling you this because we don't want you to get hurt."
"I don't mind getting hurt" Channa countered.
"Well, I for one think we should at least have a private meeting about it. Do you mind leaving for a bit Channa while we discuss?" the sensible Gengar queried.
Channa reposed upon the smooth surface of a rock, carpeted with a thick layer of moss. She quietly gazed at the small mass of Pokémon that clustered together; a conference to decide her fate.
"What do you have planned? Hopefully it's something good." Corvus murmured toward the shadow Pokémon, the other members of the makeshift council turning to hear his treatise.
"Just listen closely" the Gengar began "She's a Luxio and Luxio eventually evolves into Luxray, right? And Luxrays are good at seeing through almost anything. Think of the possibilities!"
"I guess you have a point." Mazer nodded assent. "But I'm not going to be held responsible if something happens to her."
"No one's asking you to" Ruby remarked.
"I'm just saying."
Channa's ears quivered, trying to discern any fragment of conversation that could be gathered. Suddenly the huddle of Pokémon disbanded, Joe's stumpy legs bounded toward the Luxio.
"You're in. Welcome to the team."
