It was not something she was used to feeling. Then again, she'd never had to fight for her life before.
The heracross gijinka was kicking her ass, and her martial arts and gymnast skills were failing her, because she was too busy trying to avoid attacks from a man who was quite clearly also somewhat skilled in the arts. He had attacked her out of no where, it seemed. Appearing from behind the building by launching a Close Combat attack. It had hit her hard because she had not been paying attention, and had been actually stupid enough to think herself safe. Listening to her music, ear buds in, hunting for pokemon.
In all her life, Epispect had never found her. She had been too careful. Too precise in her dealings. All she could feel now was shock, and the pain of the broken arm the Mega Horn attack had left her with. She had managed to land a few hits, but her dark type moves were weak against the fighting-bug type. What were the chances that the Epispect hunter was not just one, but both o her weaknesses? She'd been confident when she'd landed that Slash attack...until he'd used Counter on her so fast, he'd sent her flying with the impact of it. She was on the ground, blood on her head, blood from the Aerial Ace and and other attacks he'd used on her seeping through her clothes. Her arm bled from the Night Slash attack he'd mockingly used on her last.
He was not without his own injuries. She'd landed a few good hits, but his were harder, faster, and far more effective. She cursed the fact she'd not bought a TM Serum when she'd had a chance, but she'd been too afraid doing so would somehow lead someone to her. She had not, and here he was, anyhow. She was shaken, and while she didn't want to give up--she would never give up!--she could feel herself growing dizzy. She felt faint, and lightheaded. She'd hit her head hard on the cement, and she had to wipe the blood from her eye again.
"I'll kill you. Get the hell away from me, or so help me Arceus..."
Her threats meant nothing to him, and she had no moves that could back up her threats. Nothing strong enough. Was she going to be killed herself? Just like that? Would her family ever hear of it? Wonder where she'd gone? She didn't want to die--didn't deserve it! She hasn't asked to get sick! She hated Epispect with every fiber of her being...and she felt like she was going to pass out again. Focusing her eyes, she tried to ready herself for his next attack, praying that it wouldn't be the last thing she'd ever see... [/style]

Raven cocked his head slightly. He was in the middle of a delivery to a client who lived on the far side of the jungle, near enough to the power plant to hear the sounds of fighting yet far enough away from it to take a little time even at his regular high speed. At first the little detour had been out of curiosity. A good fight between small gang-members or a couple of ruffians thinking they could muscle their way through to anything they wanted was always good, wholesome entertainment. However the scene he approached ever so cautiously was not the one he was expecting. He was still at a distance when he saw the poor human- no, gijinka, forced to the cement by her assailant.
His first, cowardly instinct was to run. He was good at running. In only a few moments he would clear the area and be back on track to his destination. But a second, idea seemed to worm its way into his skull. The uniform her attacker wore was that of an Epispect member. While he seemed to have taken a few blows there was nothing fatal about them, the girl on the other hand was covers in bruises and cuts that would surely become scars when this was over. If she lived anyways. He rolled that thought over in his mind a few times, turned around and started walking in the opposite direction.
It was no business of his. He shouldn't, wouldn't, get caught up in something dangerous like this. Less than fifty paces and a few seconds later, Raven found himself hurtling towards the Epispect agent in a flame charge. Meeting the man with an impact increased by his incredible speed, and obviously taking him by surprise, the man tripped and screamed in agony as he himself hit the pavement. Didn't feel so good being on the other end of the advance huh? Raven pulled a knife from his belt, leaping forward and making an attempt to thrust it into his neck. It met a defensive arm however, failing to reach its target. So the man below had some skill, Raven had taken down worse then this man in his line of work.
He leapt back, using the time it took the other to get up the redhead to unleash a fiery fire spin, soundly locking his type disadvantaged opponent inside. or so he thought, the gijinka within took the only possible route, up. He sneered down at the rapidash gijinka and said some things that Raven did not really care to listen to. He launched himself into the air, using a special combination of bounce and quick attack. The man threw up his hands in defence again, but this time Raven met his defence by stabbing the knife through his gut. It wasn't long enough to penetrate lethally, but it gave him the opening he was looking for. Just before the two separated themselves, mere feet from hitting the cement, Raven managed to slit the flesh at the ma's throat.
Blood splattered across Raven's upper torso and right arm, the man's body hit the floor with a thud and a crunch, followed by the silent sound of flowing lifeblood. damn... now he'd have to wash his coat again. He turned his attention to the other, was she an Epispect member as well?

Instead, in a near blinding flash of fire and light that caused her eyes to widen, and then partially close against the brightness, something--no, someone!--hit the heracross gijinka dead on. Ironically, the surprise attack was exactly like the one he'd pulled on her. It actually looked a hell of a lot cooler--but who was really thinking about that? Not her. She could only stare in shock as her assailant became the assailed. The Epispect hunter had become the hunted? But by whom?
Her vision was a haze, and all the fire attacks weren't helping it any. Still, she could make out a young man with red hair and a patch over his eye. His hair was a very bright, flaming red. She might have wondered, in a different setting entirely, if it was dyed. Now, though, she could only watch. Hell, she couldn't look away. She had already done a bit of a job on her opponent. He'd have bruises, and maybe a few cuts...nothing like hers, though. Her worst wound was her broken arm and the side of her head. She was at the most risk of passing out, perhaps suffering a concussion. She didn't want that.
Was this unknown man...saving her? He was doing one hell of a job of it, if that's what it was! She only wished she could use her gijinka abilities the way he was doing! As it was, she could hardly even follow what was going on very well because she was so dizzy. Plus smoke. Fire made smoke, and lots of it. She didn't miss the last thing that happened though. She might wish later she had looked away for that last. A knife flashed, once, twice...then no more. Blood. It was everywhere. On her 'rescuer', and on the ground. She wasn't weak and she wasn't the kind to usually get queasy at the sight of blood. But what she'd just witnessed made her swoon all over again, for an entirely different reason.
He was coming towards her, and for a moment she felt a stab of fear. Rescuer, or would he do to her what he'd done to that other gijinka? She wasn't Epispect. Epispect didn't hunt or harm its own, she'd heard. Yet who knew with them? Their hunters were vicious and brutal killers.
"T-thank you..." She managed weakly. She was barely managing to stay on her feet. She hurt all over, battered as she'd been, and her arm...it was screaming agony. "Wh..." She tried, and then, "who are you?" Green eyes, flaming red hair. Eye patch and coat. That was the last thing her eyes saw before she suddenly blacked out, falling for the ground below. [/style]

The girl before him seemed injured badly, worse then he had originally thought. She favoured her arm, which he was beginning to suspect was broken, and blood was flowing freely from several places. she managed to mutter a thanks, and an inquiry as to who he may be, but before he could even answer she pitched forwards. Instinctively he stepped forward and caught her in the crook of his arm. He stood there for a moment, pondering the consequences of helping the poor gijinka, then finally sighing and lifting her into his arms gently. He was careful with her arm as he moved, his steps fluid and graceful. He took her to one of the many "bases" he used while travelling on the job. It was in an older building, failing with decay and covered in thick vines which hung and potentially his the entrance.
He lay her broken body down on the sofa, then proceeding to confirm his earlier suspicions about her injuries. Having spent so much time with Father and watching him during his operations gave Raven a good understanding of the field. he did have to treat his own injuries frequently after all, more then he would like to as a matter of fact. He felt his was up and down the area of the break, choosing the best way to reset the bone in the short time he had while she was knocked out and with the limited tools he had here. Luckily it wasn't the worst break he'd ever seen, managing not to irritate the inner muscles or lodge any larger shards of bone into the tissue.
He had to use a couple small, sturdy sticks he found nearby to secure the bandaged, fixed arm into place. He wondered for a moment what he could use a sling, but quickly dismissed the idea for now to wrap her cuts and wounds with the leftover, cleaned cloth from his last visit to this place. He didn't have any sanitizers or the kinds of medical ointments he might apply here but at the moment he really didn't think she would mind. The conscience at the back of his brain worried for infection but who was he to care? Why did he even cared if she lived. He paused. Why had he even saved her?

Also she can wake up while he's fixing her wounds, right after, or later on maybe during the night. She's on the couch but there's a chair at that location that he would lounge in and probably fall asleep in if she took a while to wake up. Lol @ his sleeping face. [/style][/style]Tagged - Kaori

Somewhere in her unconscious state, she thought she dreamed. Like she was floating, somehow, and then was alone, save for some unknown presence watching her--or watching over her? Whatever the case, she wouldn't remember when she woke, which turned out to be three hours later.
It was still daytime outside, and when she opened her eyes, the memories came rushing back at her. She tried gingerly sitting up, and looking around. This wasn't Epispect's headquarters. But no...it wouldn't be, would it? The man, whomever he was, was dead. She looked down at her arm, then. It was sore, but in a way that differed from before. The pain was not unbearable, just horrible, and throbbing. Her arm was set, and when she raised a hand to feel the side of her head, she realized that the wound had been bandaged there, too. The wounds on her leg, where her pants had been torn, the same. And the one on her upper arm, the right one. Thank Arceus for the small blessings. It was her left that was broken, and not her right. She was right handed, primarily.
Then she saw him. He was sitting on the chair across from her. This was who'd saved her? She wasn't the kind of person to ask 'why'. She was the kind of person who, even against odds, would help someone if she saw them in a similar situation. So there wasn't a why for her to ask. She figured that this was, for the most part, that kind of person, too. Yet he'd killed that man. She had a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, then. That man was dead. And the worst part was, he'd died because someone had killed him, in a sense, for her.
She didn't even have the ability to know if she was grateful or sorry for it. He would have killed her, after all. Hell, he'd been about to! Plus, what if he'd been the only one who knew about her? Then, if he was dead...she shook off the thought. She couldn't think on it. The implications were too hard, and she felt guilt and relief as opposing emotions too strongly. Not now. Later, she might assign herself blame, or have time to truly see what became of her now.
"Where are we?" She asked, still groggy. Her head hurt. That was to be expected. She quickly added, "you saved me. That other gijinka," and here, she couldn't force herself to say 'man', "was going to kill me." Golden eyes searched his face, remembering him better now that she was not about to collapse to the ground. He'd saved her, and done his best to mend her wounds. She owed him, and she knew it. She didn't like to feel she owed anyone anything so large. How could she pay anyone back for her very life? She would, if she could...she would ten times over. She would have died, if not for him, after all.
"I'm Kaori Ishida...an illegal gijinka," she found herself explaining. "When I was a child, I got the virus. Parents didn't have the money to pay for it. So they bought it via the black market. I survived, but you know how that song goes, I'm sure," she told him, searching his face for a reaction. He'd killed an Epispect member, and only the two of them knew of it. She, for her part, would never breathe a word of it. He had done so saving her, and she was grateful as she was guilty of the fact that that gijinka was now dead because of it. [/style]

Raven had realised he couldn't just leave her there alone, if she had suffered from a concussion during that fight there was a chance she might have passed in her sleep. It annoyed him a little, having interrupted his delivery for this but all in all there was one less Epispect dog running amok. He spent the next three hours searching for something to use as a sling, to which end he did not succeed, then sunk down into an old chair set off to the side a bit. He patiently listened to her breathing as she slept, which in turn calmed him. Now that he though about it how long had it been since he'd had company? ....Wait... he'd never had company in his home, any of them. Slightly bewildered by that fact he didn't notice her shift until he looked up and met golden colored eyes.
They caught his attention right away, filled with something he couldn't quite pin down. She was rather small but beneath those tiny features lay lean, tamed muscle, her deep purple hair seeming slightly tousled from the events of the last few hours. Considering the condition she was in she was actually not that bad looking... The girl introduced herself without holding anything back, freely announcing her heritage of pokemon DNA being that of an illegal. He shook his head a bit. "Go around talking like that and it's no wonder you got cornered so easily. This sin't really a place to trust people so easily." He paused, looking straight at her. "For example, simply because I saved you from that man does not mean that I wanted to help you. Hostages, for example, are much more effective kept alive." He let that thought sit for a moment, letting her know her situation in this. He was no hero, he just had a bone to pick with Epispect. Or so he repeatedly tried to convince himself. "Luckily for you, I don't have time for schemes like that. I have a delivery to make..." He stopped. Testing the notion of giving her his work name to a girl like this. If she were to be attacked while he was out... or worse gave away his hideout then there would be trouble. But many of his enemies knew his name so why not some girl? "The people here call me Raven. Can you walk yet?"

It was none of her business, really. Then, he replied, and she wasn't at all surprised to hear what he had to say. In fact, he thought he might. Still, she'd had reasons for being open about it, and those reasons she was all right with giving him, too.
"I don't go around broadcasting this kind of stuff. You're one of the first people I told. I'm not stupid, you know," she told him with a smile to soften the potential sting of the rebuke. She sighed, shifting slightly, before explaining her logic. "You killed that man. Which means you're not with Epispect, because he wore an Epispect uniform and anyone could have seen his allegiance lay with them." She paused, a flash of a spray of blood...she shook it off, then continued, "if you meant to kill me, you could have done so already. I'd be no good to you as a hostage. Epispect wouldn't give you anything for me unless you were working for them. Which I don't think you are. They'd kill us both rather than give you anything," she told him, golden eyes somber. If anything happened to him because of what he'd done for her, she'd bear the guilt of that, too. He was stronger than she was, though. At least in the sense that he was far better at utilizing his abilities. He was stronger than the heracross gijinka, too. She knew she didn't stand a chance against him as she was. She vowed to practice from this day on. She'd never be caught so...so weak...again.
"I guess I figure I owe you at least the information. Hell, I owe you my life," she said, a slight edge to her voice that betrayed that she was still a bit shaken by it all. She'd never owed anyone anything before, let alone something like that. Then, he gave her his name. It was an interesting one, that was for sure. Was that what they called him, like he said, or his real name? She supposed in the end, it didn't matter. A name was a name, and she'd be, again, the last person to betray him, considering.
"Raven..." She said, as though she were considering it. But he'd asked another question. She couldn't really answer that until she'd at least tried to stand. This she did, and found--much to her relief--that she could do so. She would have bruises but her legs were not broken. Her arm was. They worked fine, and now that she had gotten a few hours sleep, most of the dizziness had passed. She was nothing if not resilient. She now knew why the TM Serum 'Rest' and others like it were so popular. To be able to heal your own injuries...invaluable. She wondered, then, if he had any moves like that. What kind of gijinka was he, anyhow? A fire type was her first and best guess.
She wasn't going to ask him to do it even if he could, though. She had her pride, which was damaged right now beyond repair. She also knew she would never be able to ask him to do any more than he already had, so she let it be. She was only grateful no doctors or hospitals ever cared about your gijinka status. They didn't ask, and she wouldn't tell. No...it had definitely not been her fault that that creeper had found her. She was so careful...but maybe not careful enough. She was worried, now. And she was not going to just sit around and do nothing about it. She was going to learn to fight. A black belt in karate, she was going to learn to fight using her gijinka skills...and see about getting some TM Serums.
"I can walk," she answered with a nod, a wry smirk on her face. She could walk, thanks to him. It was odd, owing this stranger her life. She didn't quite know how to voice her gratitude to the extent she felt it. "Thank you again," she said, putting as much sincerity into it as she felt, and then, "I don't know how he found me. I never use my abilities. I took gymnastics and martial arts...maybe he suspected. I got a lot better at both even with being a champion at gymnastics and with a black belt. Maybe he noticed that." She sighed, frustrated. He was dead now, and she...lesson learned. She'd always thought to not use her abilities to hide them. Now, though...she would need them if this ever happened again. She couldn't not use them, or she would never know how to use them well enough to protect herself--let alone anyone else. [/style]

Raven took her words into consideration. He guessed that the only reason she'd even lived this long was because of either sheer luck or she'd actually been smart about her situation. He almost got the feeling she rejected the transfusion, well maybe rejected wasn't quite the right word... and looking at her now he was seeing that the result of that kind of a situation could be death. She was definitly a curious one, going on about he had 'saved her life' like it was something special. Ususlly when he butten in like that he ended up a lot more bruised and battered then this, it wasn't that big of a deal. But then again. he had never encountered a gijinka with so little skill as she either.
He looked Kaori over a second time. Raven decided she could definitely be a good fighter if she chose to be, maybe he could- Oh no. Oooooohhhhhh no. Nice try conscience, but he wasn't about to waste time time babysitting the poor, weak, innocent creatures of the slums. Speaking of which, he noticed during his more thurough inspection she looked, well, healthy all things considered. She wasn't starving, she was almost overly clean in a sense, she wasn't on the verge of death in any way. "You're not from around here are you?" he paused with a sigh, "Since you can walk, stay close to me. I don't need you going and walking into trouble again. When I'm finished with work I will drop you off wherever you came from got it?"
He turned and walked on in hopes the little duckling would follow. No... not a duckling she was more of a- a kitten that follows you in out of the rain. He would walk in circles through the surrounding area, forming a broken maze in her memory instead of a direct route straight to his home.

Watching, considering, thinking. Well, she was the same way, watching his reactions, curious about him now that she was of a mind to actually be curious rather than just glad to be alive. Well, she was still glad to be alive...and that wouldn't change any time soon. Just who was this 'Raven'? He had said he was making a delivery...what kind of delivery was he talking about? What exactly was this place, anyhow? It looked beat up and broken down, but like someone had been here before now. Was this like...a secret hideout? If so, he'd risked yet something else in bringing her here. She couldn't know he intended to try and lose the location in her mind. That might be really hard for him to do. She had an excellent memory.
She shifted from foot to foot, tensing and relaxing muscles, testing her body. She had nearly died, but now that she was testing her sore, battered and bruised muscles, she was finding that though there was of course the expected pain--besides her arm and head there wasn't going to be damages that took longer to heal than normal bruises and injuries she'd gotten from martial arts training and gymnastics practice. She'd never broken a bone before, though. It hurt like an s.o.b and she was favoring that arm carefully. She wanted it to heal cleanly. She could check a doctor later, but she was very conscious of her own body. Whoever he was, she thought he had done a really decent job with what he had. She wished she had a sling...but this would have to do.
He was asking her another question, then. However had he guessed, beat up as she was? He was really damn perceptive, wasn't he? She supposed she didn't look like someone from the slums. She was otherwise in pretty good health and shape, besides her recent injuries. Did he spend a lot of time around the slums? Was he from them?
"No, I guess I'm not," she admitted. Then, cautiously, "are you? I mean...where'd you learn to fight like that?" She couldn't help herself. He didn't look like he fought in the manner she did. Martial arts...huh. They didn't do much good when you were facing a gijinka unless you could use both that and your skills. She had done poorly in that area. She admired him, because he had not done poorly at all. She admired those who could fight and protect themselves and others. So she naturally had to ask.
To his second statement, she couldn't help flinching. What if someone else knew of her? What if she was followed, and her family put at risk. She didn't know what to do. Golden eyes fell to the floor, as she tried to think.
"I don't think I can go back..." she finally murmured, even though she stood up and began to follow him. She would never, ever put anyone else at risk because of her. Not even if they'd been the ones to buy that DNA at such a high cost. Someone had been killed so she could get this DNA from some black market creep. Yet if they hadn't been...she'd be dead. If it were her child, or even her best friend...what would she do? She didn't know, but she thought she might be desperate enough to do what they'd done. Still, she'd never been in that situation. The virus was dying out. She hoped she never would be.
"Just...drop me off somewhere away from here. I don't care where...I can't go home," she said with a sinking sense of finality. Unless she could protect her parents, she dared not go home. As she was, she couldn't do that. She would have to learn, maybe procure some TM's, and go from there. She was on her trainer journey anyway. She'd get some pokemon, and maybe they could help her train? She wasn't sure, but she was willing to try anything. [/style]

His suspicions were confirmed, she was definitely not from around here. How had she even found her way here? City brats should stay in the city, out here they were just fodder for the dogs. He watched her fidget, again intrigued by how graceful she managed to do it. Definitly like a cat. The more he thought it the more he agreed with the notion.
Raven blinked. It hadn't been the first time he was asked how he learned to fight but for some reason coming from her it almost shoked him. Why would she want to know? Hmmm. It's a long story really. To put it short sometimes Father had bad company, and I would have to get rid of it. I learned a little from Father, a little from his friends, but mostly I learned it on the streets. You don't lose a fight and walk away with nothing you know. If you're alive to walk away that is. He stopped himself short before he went into a big spiel over all of this. Didn't he say he wasn't about to babysit her, let alone start fixing her fighting flaws? At least she seemed like she had some skills, not like others he had seen killed in the past. The fact she had held up that long against the Epispect dog said something. Maybe she was worth teac- Stop. There he went again.
"Well I hope you don't plan on sticking around here. I won't come save you again I have more important things to pay attention to, but I can't help but feel like I'd be helping you with suicide somehow." He turned and led the way to the entry, holding the vines out of his way and pausing before he finally turned around and motioned to her. "If you have a family you should go home, you won't survive here. Where would you stay? How would you live?" He left the implied, how will you fight, to her to ask herself.

It was not exactly a situation she herself had grown up in. She had learned to fight using her body only--in structured classes, under a very expensive sensei. Never had she had to deal with dangerous people like those in Epispect. Now, she almost wished she had the training through the kinds of situations Raven was talking about. Maybe then, she'd have been forced to use her skills. As she was now...she wasn't going to be able to survive without--
The idea struck her like a ton of bricks. She didn't need pokemon to help her train. She needed someone with experience fighting using their skills. Someone who not only had experience, but a fair amount of it. Someone like Raven.
"I can't go home. I'd be potentially leading Epispect right back to my family...if anyone but that man knew about me. I can't risk that!" she said, more firmly this time. Then, "it's not helping me with suicide if you help me learn to fight like you do." There, it was out. She stepped through the vines and out the entrance, and turned to face him. "I can take whatever you throw at me--and I learn quick! I'm already a black belt and I'm sure that and my gymnastics tied with learning to use my gijinka skills would have advantages even other gijinka don't," she said quickly. She couldn't help but feel she was trying to sell herself--or at least the idea of training her--to him. If he didn't help her she was no better off being 'dropped off' than she was when she'd come here. She needed pokemon, to boot, and so, "I came out here looking for pokemon. I can't just hide from this. I won't. If you don't help me..." She didn't finish it, because it was clear that if he didn't, she wasn't going to be able to learn on her own, with the help of no one.
She hated asking him for this, and so, more slowly, "I know you don't have to. I mean, you already saved my life and I'm aware of it. But I won't disappoint you. And maybe, just maybe, I can repay the favor someday." She couldn't, as she was. But if he was willing to help, she would be a really good ally. She wasn't stupid, or slow. She was brave and willing to learn. She knew her own strengths--just like she knew her own weaknesses. [/style]

Raven listened to her with a serious look on his face, he didn't really understand how she felt but he tried to relate it to the way he himself felt when his Father was in danger. Except there was probably a little more gore in his version...
The redhead almost jumped when she asked him to train her, almost. Had she read his mind or something!? Raven narrowed his eyes, his lips forming a hard frown. His first and instant response was, "No." He stood there silently for a few seconds, pondering why he'd said that. Sure he ran a tight schedule and all but even he found time off... a lot of it actually. Besides, he had to stop once a day at least, there was no reason he couldn't use that time to train her right? Kaori definitly showed merit, she might learn fast if she really wanted to. He looked her in the eyes, evaluating the strength of her will to carry out with this little plan of hers.
Raven scratched the back of his head, letting out a long resolving sigh. "I wouldn't go easy on you ya know. I'd beat you down until you got it right, even if you can't move the next day. Even if you can't move the next day you would be getting up with me, and you'll have to follow me around on my deliveries which means getting up before dawn and settling down before night hits. That could be in the middle of the street for all I know." He wasn't sure if he was trying to deter her from doing this or prepare her for the worst. He settled on the excuse lettering her know what she was getting in to.
He would have to recalculate his deliveries... would he have to leave her behind to make rush services? He guessed running at his full out, or even regular, speed was going to be pushing it a bit. Especially for the distances he was able to cover. But it wasn't like he would be late right? Heck, he would still be ten times faster and do jobs much more dangerous then any human delivery boy could do. What harm could a stray kitten do him?

She didn't know anyone but him who could fight. Not the kind of fighting she needed. She already knew how to fight by human terms--more than. But gijinka...she didn't know anyone at all. Her face began to fall, but she was still looking at Raven, and saw something...and whatever that something was, had her immediately hopeful. It turned out she had reason to be.
He sounded like he was half trying to dissuade her, and half himself. As though he was arguing with himself over it--and she knew what that meant. He was arguing with himself because he was considering it! Because he thought he could do it, and wasn't one hundred percent sure yet. Well, she'd make him sure!
"Yes, to all of it!" She said with perhaps a little too much enthusiasm. She'd already had a mentor who had turned her black and blue--her sensei. Yet never using pokemon moves and skills. She had a feeling that would be worse...but she would stick it through. She was tough and she was willing. She had a lot of confidence in her abilities. She could and would do whatever was asked of her, and she wouldn't complain either--never that. She had her pride, after all.
"So when do we start?"
She realized that she wasn't exactly up to par at the moment. A broken arm, bruises and lucky not to have more breaks. Probably, they'd have to wait until the break healed. Still, getting up at dawn and in bed before dark...she could walk. She could probably even run, sore though she was. She could at least keep up--she had no clue he was a rapidash gijinka, or she wouldn't have thought this--with him. She would prove to him that he wasn't making a mistake.
"You won't regret this, I promise! I learn quick and I don't give up. Someday I might even be able to return the favor," she said with a confident and bright smile. She would like that. She owed him already, and would owe him more for this. The least she could do was keep that in mind, and maybe one day return the favor. She felt a lot more energetic, suddenly. She would be able to protect herself when they were through. No matter how long it took her to get good, she'd get there. Better than good. She was already planning to see what TM serums she could get her hands on. Rest would be a good one. Then she'd only have to have a nap to completely heal. She had seen pokemon use it for a minute and magically heal. Yes...that one would do. She'd need to see what else she could get. But whatever the case, she intended to get a few. [/style]

He almost jumped back at the burst of enthusiasm she showed him. She was so willing to accept it all, just like that! For a moment he decided she had absolutely no idea what she was getting herself into, but after a second glance he realised she had some kind of clue. He allowed himself a small smile. "All right then if this is what you have decided, don't blame me if you die before you can catch up." From what he remembered she already had some serious training, most of the work was going to be honing what skills she already had and practising with her attack moves... He got the feeling she would do almost anything he asked of her. Well, that made things easier.
Taking into account her broken arm and the beating she had received earlier it would take a long time for it to heal naturally. He flipped open a small pouch he had strapped to his left leg, fairly convenient for these kinds of situations. Out in the middle of nowhere halfway through a mission and an injury to keep you company. "Here." he tossed her a small vial of a darkish, purple liquid. "That is an altered potion they use during the DNA transfusions around here, it will help your arm heal faster." It would be mostly better by tomorrow at least he hoped, enough to do some more rigorous training.
He leaned forward a little, stretching his calves, then stretching his back, shoulders, arms... damn he had been sitting in that chair too long. It was a good thing she claimed to be a quick learner, but highly doubted she would ever be able to pay him back for saving her the way she thought she would. She perked up even more, if that was possible. "Start you ask? We already have."
He took a step past her, took a few steps forward and started jogging at a normal, humanly pace. He led her through a maze of buildings and broken down structures, picking his way back towards his intended route. When he would look over his shoulder and see her catching up again, he sped up a little, just to keep her on her toes, and when she slowed he did as well as to not lose her. Judging by the clouds starting to cover the sky night would come early, soon based on the limited light they now had, but no rain would be expected. At least not tonight.
The building they came up on was a dark, two story building where the front top leavel was caved in. Rubble had been moved away from the door, and small, nearly unidentifiable symbols had been carved into it. Lantern light flickered from somewhere inside of the building. Well at least someone was home.

Also, you might see some time skipping during these little run around's. You can say or do whatever you want during these :P if the stop is unimportant then I will likely just give a brief explanation of what happened and then move on xD [/style][/style]Tagged - Rai
