The first thing anyone notices about this otherwise average kid is her long, flaming red hair. Red eyes are not altogether common, so this would be the second thing noted on a second look. She is of average height and a healthy weight. She likes to wear black and loves the color red as well. She is quite quick and lithe, quick on he feet and 'squirrley' so not easy to lay hands on. Her complexion is fair and unblemished, she won't be the sort of girl to be plagued by acne when she hits puberty. She definitely hasn't yet, and is quite flat for the moment. She won't start to 'bloom' until she is about fourteen years old.

★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Riley hasn't had an easy go of life so far. Her twelve years have made her into a distrustful, angry and rather bratty girl. She is not necessarily to blame for the way she has turned out, and it's safe to say she is one tough cookie. She doesn't like, or trust, people. She does however love pokemon, and if she did ever befriend anyone she'd be ridiculously loyal. As is, she hates her father, loves her aunt though the woman lives too far away and she dare not ask her to move to where she is, and treats most people with nothing short of scorn.
She is a smart girl with a lot of wit and she knows how to use it. Her vocabulary is pretty decent for a twelve year old. She learns quickly and while she is horrid at mathematics she is very artsy and does well in most of her classes. Still, she doesn't really like school and bores easily, so she has been slacking off lately, and due to her new circumstances is now doing correspondence by books. She had one close friend and that was it, a boy who understood her better than anyone else did.
Of all her family, she hasn't met many individuals. Now that she is technically an outcast, disowned by her father and left to fend for herself, she wishes she did. She would never say it, though. Little does she know she has cousins and that her aunt would gladly let her move in with her, if she only asked and her aunt knew fully what was going on. After all, it was her who paid for the gijinka DNA that saved Riley's life. Still, she feels alone and defensive, she always thinks people are nasty and thinking the worst of her. She is a fierce little thing, who really needs someone to actually care about her and be there.
She is very capable, despite her age. She is able to pass for older despite looking nine or ten, because she is quite a little actress. She has no qualms with lying to get what she needs or to protect herself. She doesn't like people to think she isn't capable of taking care of herself or fending for herself and because of the charmeleon DNA she actually is more capable than some might think. She's quick of mind and mouth, and she'll act very fast to make sure she is not hurt by anyone or anything. She will protect those she cares about with her life, and is very brave. She might be afraid but she will act regardless and she has walls built up so no one sees her weaknesses. She refuses to cry, and refuses to let people see when she's hurt or anything short of angry.

H I S T O R Y
- Her mother died giving birth to her, her father resented her for it and never remarried. He began heavily drinking and she had a nanny who stayed until she was four, but then left because her father lost his job and went on welfare.
- Her father ignored her even before she became a gijinka, leaving her to fend for herself. By the age of five she could already cook some things for herself, and her father got tv dinners and take out all the time, too lazy to do much. Her aunt harped on him and threatened to call child services. He began to do the bare basics to care for her, but by the time she was seven she was doing her own laundry, cleaning her own room and doing house chores. Her father didn't show her any affection so she became quite hard and reclusive.
- At eleven years old she got the virus. Her father refused to allow her to have the gijinka DNA. So her aunt arranged for her to come visit her for a month during summer, and got it done illegally for her, since she didn't have the money to do it legally and Riley was getting sicker by the week. She would have died otherwise. She went home and everything was okay, but then when her father hit her, she got angry and used Ember on him, though he was hardly hurt as he stumbled back. However, he cursed her and called her an abomination, and said he wanted her out of his house. She fled, it was just before she turned nine.
- She had no clue where to go, but found out she had a cousin who lived nearby, and went to find out who he was. Maybe he could help her, even though she wasn't sure if she'd even ask. Her pride didn't usually allow her to ask for help, but she was out of options. She had gone to the pokemon lab for a pokemon, and she later learned gijinka had to get their own. So, she decided to seek out her cousin and try to get a pokemon along the way. She had her best friend from school, who was a year older, being a legal gijinka, who didn't care if she was one or not. She bid him farewell, promised to keep in touch, and headed out.
