There was the risk of being caught trying to sneak out of the city's limits - and if he got caught... well... it wouldn't be the best of situations. Or... maybe it would. It would save him the trouble of turning himself in to save his friends... Shaking his head, clearing his thoughts, Akira concentrated himself on the last few rocks he had to scale to get himself up the small cliff face. Unlike most people, falling was not a worry for the boy - if he did lose his grip, he could simply catch himself with a psychic and resume climbing. But as things would seem, there would be no need for such things as he hoisted himself over the edge, shifting to set and allow his legs to dangle as he caught his breath. One had to admit... the view from here was gorgeous, even if less than half the landscape was to be desired.
Once his breath was caught, he stood and moved away from the cliff, pulling out two pokeballs as he moved - releasing the pokemon within. Stretching as they were released, two canine pokemon - a Zorua and a Riolu - stood to full height and faced Akira. With Tail wagging, Zero, the Zorua, padded over to Akira, raising up on his hind paws, using Akira's leg to steady himself as he received a couple pats on the head from the boy, "This is the first time that we've been outside of city limits... We're not here to play though, okay guys?" With both pokemon nodding in response, Akira moved forward, the two mons following, keeping their eyes out for mons - they knew they were here to gain strength - they had to to keep their trainer safe. WILD AXEW APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Axew || Female || Rivalry || Dragon || Level 17 Scratch || Leer || Assurance || Dragon Rage || Dual Chop || Scary Face When hearing the phrase “dragon-type Pokémon” most trainers would immediately picture in their minds creatures of immense battle prowess and infallible courage; it is an image rooted in reality, for the oldest and strongest of these Pokémon were powerful enough to shape the very land around them with their fierce attacks and even fiercer tempers. There was a reason why in the far-flung past so many elite trainers kept them as their type of choice and even today, long after those trainers had been dead and gone for centuries and their legacies all but forgotten, many aspiring masters considered training them before any others for the advantages they could wield in battle.
Unfortunately, not all such creatures lived up to their type’s reputation as a sudden high-pitched wail echoing through the crisp mountain air proved.
“AXEEEW!” The shrieker, well, shrieked, her rough little paws churning up dust in her wake as she ran up the cliffside path with eyes scrunched shut in terror as she veered here and there, coming dangerously close to tumbling over the edge only to be stopped by a sharp jerk to the thick white strings wrapped around her tusks like a pair of reins. Ugh, she could feel the nasty little thing up there moving with every tug! Desperate to be free of the presence, the Axew shook her head violently as she ran, hoping it would be enough to dislodge the one holding her reins, but it only made the eerie, sickening thing cling to her glittering skin all the tighter. Oh, how she wanted to be rid of it already!
As her blind charge continued, she failed to notice the human on the path ahead and his two Pokémon, but the one “driving” her did not and was quick to pull back the reins with all their might, sending a jolt of electricity through them as well. Although the attack did little more than sting slightly, the Axew nonetheless gave a startled cry and reared up on her hind legs, instinctively opening her mouth to fire a Dragon Rage at her unseen target, the bright blue flames streaming from her jaws haphazardly. Oh no, what if someone were standing there! The dragon immediately felt ashamed of herself, but what could she do with that creepy thing controlling her movements like this? It was completely unfair!
WILD JOLTIK APPEARED! [/style] Joltik || Female || Unnerve || Bug/Electric || Level 16 String Shot || Leech Life || Spider Web || Thunder Wave || Screech || Fury Cutter Electroweb A giddy cackle left the fluffy yellow Pokémon nestled in front of the Axew’s horn as she watched her steed’s Dragon Rage spiral from her mouth, pleased to finally have someone to test her strategy’s effectiveness on. You see, life as a teeny-tiny Joltik frankly sucked out here in the mountains where everything was so big and any old thing could just step on her to end her brief life at any point. To make matters worse, there was nothing to sap electricity from out here, not like in the city or the power plant. Sure, there were other electric-type Pokémon, but in order to siphon off some of their power to fuel her own attack she would have to first get close to one, and then spend the rest of her days living quietly in fear of getting discovered as a parasite lest her host discover her and attempt to squish her. Well, this was one Joltik that absolutely refused to be squashed without a fight! In fact, she had come up with a survival plan that was nothing short of brilliant: find a strong but stupid Pokémon, find a way to control them, and then force them to fight her battles for her so that she never had to worry about being squashed again!
...what? Heinous you say? Oh, give her a break! Humans had been doing this kind of thing for ages, so why couldn’t she take advantage of another creature to train? Especially one so perfect for her purposes as this Axew. Sure, she was far from a terrifying Haxorus right now, but time and training would change her from a terrified indentured servant to a willing battle-ready minion. The dual-type still found it hard to believe how lucky she had been to stumble on the dragon while she slept, her odd-colored scales glistening in the moonlight. The Joltik knew immediately that she had to have her, and with a little Electrowebbing to keep her ensnared and in line, the deed was done and her ride captured. That was less than a day ago and while the dragon stubbornly resisted her control, she knew it was only a matter of time before she came around and then she - no, they - would be unstoppable! Another chorus of laughs shook her fuzzy little body just thinking about it, their high pitch somehow doing little to prevent her from sounding exactly like a generic cartoon villian.

To cross out what i’ve become There's no blood, there's no alibi [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,507,a table] | [atrb=style, background-image: url(http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/g368/RyuujinYoukai/FrozenDiamonds.png); webkit-border-radius: 20px; -moz-border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px; border: 5px solid 143c64; padding: 6px;][STYLE= width: 350px; background-color: #648da1; opacity: 0.9; -webkit-border-radius: 20px; -moz-border-radius: 20px; border-radius: 20px; border: 4px solid 143c64; font-size: 12px; text-align: justify; font-family: times new roman; color: #000000; padding: 5px; float: left;]The last to turn and follow his trainer, Zero stopped suddenly, his ears twitching. Narrowing his blue orbs, the Zorua turned to look over his shoulder, ears laid back at the sounds quickly coming up the cliff face behind them. Fur rose up with a territorial rage - something was comming for what he considered his... he had to protect it. Noticing that the Zorua had come to a stop, Akira turned to face the tiny canine, head tilted slightly as he studied the creature and his overprotective behavior, "Zero... what i-" The boy's calm and soothing voice to his pokemon faded away as the Axew came barreling over the cliff, heading straight for them... and seemingly none too friendly either.
As the dragon's maw parted to fire the attack, Zero growled deeply, whipping his tiny body around to face the attack and, without a second thought, pulled up a Protect to negate the attack - caring more about what may happen to his human over himself or Loki. As the attack collided with his defense, the force pushed him back, paws digging into the ground for traction before raising his head sharply and breaking both his protect and the attack with a loud howl. "Zero! nnh..." the boy grit his teeth, looking at the Zorua, the dark type flashing a glare toward the Axew and it's tiny rider.
"Loki, your turn." With that, the Riolu bolted forward, tiny paws raised to the side with a brown orb forming between them, growing brighter and brighter with each passing moment. Huffing and narrowing his eyes, the fightng type stopped abruptly and shoved his paws forward, sending the attack - a Focus Blast - towards the feet of the Axew, hoping to trip the dragon up if nothing else. WILD AXEW APPEARED! [/style] IT IS SHINY!Axew || Female || Rivalry || Dragon || Level 17 Scratch || Leer || Assurance || Dragon Rage || Dual Chop || Scary Face A soft whimper left the Axew as she planted all four feet back on the ground, shaking her head as the last of the flames dispersed. Her tusks still tingled painfully from the shocks the unnerving presence on her head kept sending through them in order to control her, leaving them feeling sensitive and the dragon-type shivering in obvious discomfort. She really didn’t want to see whatever damage she’d caused to the area, or potentially anything nearby - hoping that she’d only shot off a harmless attack - but there had been a loud howl right after that spoke otherwise and she couldn’t help but crack open an eye despite her dread, guilt weighing heavily on her. At the site before her, she only trembled more, seeing a human in her path with a Zorua and a Riolu, and though they looked unharmed she felt a deep stab of shame for what she’d done even if she had no choice in the matter. Just her luck that the crazy thing on her head would make her attack the only trainer who’d come to this stretch of mountain in what felt like forever! However, she didn’t have much time to dwell on her guilt as the human spoke out a quick order and the Riolu dashed forward obediently, the swirling orb of a charging attack building between his little paws.
Another shiver skated across her hide as she felt her captor jolt in alarm - whatever he had planned, it must have scared the smaller mon because she felt a sharp, frantic tug at the reins on her tusks, ordering her to turn. Oh, those sparks hurt! Wincing, the Axew, lifted her foot to obey...but then, in a sudden streak of rebellion, she instead bit down hard on her lower lip, swallowed her anxiety, and bolted straight for the Riolu, tears welling up in the corners of her eyes as she charged blindly toward the attack. No more! If this stood a chance of getting rid of that disgusting parasite and set her free, then she would gladly face the oncoming pain. A wordless scream of defiance that quickly turned into one of pain as the Riolu’s Focus Blast swept her off her feet in a blinding flash of light, knocking her onto her back, her horn scraping against the ground and leaving a shallow groove in her wake as she skidded to a stop, a small cloud of dust partially obscuring her body, though from the way her silhouette twitched it was likely that she wasn’t truly out yet, just momentarily stunned from the fall.
WILD JOLTIK APPEARED! [/style] Joltik || Female || Unnerve || Bug/Electric || Level 16 String Shot || Leech Life || Spider Web || Thunder Wave || Screech || Fury Cutter Electroweb It was astonishing just how quickly one’s fortune could turn from great to out and out terrible; one moment, the Joltik was feeling night-invincible atop her shiny-scaled mount, and the next a blinding burst of focused energy blasted the both of them back, easily snapping the makeshift web reins looped around the dragon’s tusks and knocking the electric-type from her perch with a high-pitched squeal. On the bright side? Despite a rough landing after catapulting through the air - she smashed face-first into the dirt, which left the fluffy yellow bug coughing and hacking up tiny chunks of earth - she was more or less unharmed by the fall. So while that cowardly Axew picked the worst possible time to grow a spine and reject her commands, at least she got to have the last laugh when the bigger Pokémon soaked up most of the Focus Blast’s damage. Served her right, too, for disobeying her master like that!
Unfortunately, as appealing as the thought of reminding the shiny of her place was, disciplining the dragon would have to wait as when she cautiously opened two of her four indigo eyes to assess her situation, she saw with a stab of panic that in addition to tearing her from her perch, the attack had also sent her tumbling practically to the enemies’ feet! A shiver of fear prickled the fluffy hairs on her body as she crouched low to the ground, hoping that neither Pokémon had spotted her yet; sure, she wasn’t completely defenseless when not controlling another, but those paws looked plenty big enough to squash her! Unless....a spark of inspiration lit in the little mastermind’s eye, replacing her previous fear as she glanced up at the canine who caused her predicament in the first place, the Riolu. Now, while he did not hold the added appeal of shiny skin - er, fur in his case - that her previous ride did, but he was also clearly a more capable fighter than the Axew. Yes, the tiny spider thought with diabolical glee, he would make an absolutely perfect replacement mount!
Sparks jumped to life across the Joltik’s fur as she wriggled in anticipation, her little butt waving in the air in an almost feline manner before she leaped at the young fighting-type, counting on the Thunder Wave crackling across her body to immobilize him in impact long enough for her to web him up for battle. Then she would show that annoying fox companion of his, and their human friend too, and then that disobedient Axew! Oh no, she hadn’t forgotten her at all! And then - hehe, yes - and then the world would be next!
OOC: I'm sorry this took so long Ryuu! ;^; I promise I'll be better about modthings, really.
