The Tunnels were usually considered a rather dangerous place, but he tended to not worry about things like that. The large man was here with his little rag-tag team of pokemon that would be helping him on this little excursion. Stretching his arms, he wandered deep into the tunnels, finding a small spot that would be suitable for training and the like. Maybe he could capture some of the pokemon, but he wanted a formidable team first, before he actually went to capturing.
Maybe he could even get his newest addition up a few levels with the pokemon around here, but that would need to be seen. Right now, he needed to find something first, otherwise this trip would have been for nothing. That didn't strike him as a pleasant thought in the least. "Alright, let's see what kind of creatures lurk in the darkness," he stretched his arms, moving forward, his eyes glancing back and forth to spot anything suspicious.

WILD GASTLY APPEARED! [/style] Gastly || Female || Levitate || Ghost/Poison || Level 10 Hypnosis || Lick || Spite || Mean Look Oh~ho? What was this? A traveller, delving into her favorite little haunt? How horrifically wonderful!
Nearly invisible in the darkness, a Gastly hovered above Cadeyrn, her body a billowing cloud of dark gasses and ghostly energy against the tunnel’s ceiling. From here, she was in prime scaring-distance from the Manectric gijinka, close enough that she could lean forward and whisper scary little nothings in his ear. That in and of itself was an amusing idea, but it would not be nearly as fun as the other option she had in mind, her number one trick for scaring the pants off of travelers. Hehe, there were few that didn’t run screaming from the catacombs after she terrified them so near the entrance, but this man looked like he might prove a challenge. He had to be made of sterner stuff than the silly little teenagers that usually ventured down here on tests of courage to impress their dates, at the very least. Restraining the urge to giggle mischievously at her own antics, the ghost-type quietly slunk along behind the man, waiting for juuust the right moment to make her move.
In the end, however, her excitement beat out her self-restraint and the Gastly quickly floated down to hover just behind the trainer’s shoulder and gave him a nice, slow Lick on the side of his face, grinning wickedly in hopes that it would draw a splendid reaction out of him. After all, big tough guys who broke down blubbering once frightened were her absolute favorite targets.

The moment the tongue came into contact with this skin, Cade had dived forward, and twisted himself to face the creature that attacked. A frown crossed his features, "Great, now I've got ghost germs, that can't be sanitary in the least." Smartass comment aside, this was exactly what he was looking for, well, to an extent. He was looking for something for his pokemon to fight against, and well, this might be the best thing for Atlas.
"Alright, come on out Atlas, let's rock this ghost's world," he said, as the purple Heracross emerged from its poke ball. It settled its eyes on its opponent, and made a motion with its arm for it to come at him. However, it wasn't going to wait for the thing to come to him either, a dark energy surrounding his claws, as he rushed forward with a night slash attack.
Cade watched, waiting for the moments when he would need to give commands to Atlas. For now, he would see how he did on his own, it would show him just how powerful of a fighter he had trained the Heracross to be at this point.

WILD GASTLY APPEARED! [/style] Gastly || Female || Levitate || Ghost/Poison || Level 10 Hypnosis || Lick || Spite || Mean Look Hey now, what was with that reaction? The Gastly huffed to herself in annoyance, her shadowed expression falling into a frown at the way the Manectric gijinka responded to her little prank. It was one thing for him to not be terrified by her trickery, but to brush her off and say that she had germs? Honestly! She might be a ghost, but she was still a lady, and she most certainly did not have germs! “Gas gast.” Your attitude really sucks. She grumbled, sticking her tongue out at the gijinka in annoyance. Just because she was dead did not mean she lacked a heart, even if she did derive most of her pleasure from scaring the wits out of whoever crossed into her domain! The trainer’s rude words left the gaseous phantom feeling so insulted that when he sent out his odd-colored Heracross, she would have gladly accepted the insect’s invitation to come at him if the bug not attacked her right then and there.
The Gastly hissed in pain as the Heracross’s claws sliced through her body in a Night Slash attack, the added element of darkness easily cutting through her incorporeal form and sending the dual-type reeling back through the air. She still could not fathom why dark-based attacks did so much damage to her kind when they spent their lives - or, in this case, afterlives - living in darkness, but there was no denying the agony she was in right now. This encounter was quickly going downhill, and if she wanted to escape intact, she was going to have to get rid of that troublesome bug somehow. Licking him to death would take too long - not to mention she would have to move in close to get at him, which would leave her less room to flee from any additional Night Slashes - so that left one other option open to her: put him to sleep and then get rid of him.
Opening her fanged mouth wide in a spiteful grin, the Gastly shot a Hypnosis attack at the Heracross, a low humming sound pulsing from her lips along with several bands of glowing purple psychic energy which would hopefully send the shiny off to a quick slumber.
