Blinking, Erik slipped by the taller man's figure to explore a little, opening the refridgerator and blinking at the wood filled stove area, before frowning at the lack of food in general. "What do you eat around here?" he murmured, glancing up at Lydian with his bottom lip pushed out thoughtfully.
Padding outwards again, the guy glanced around the living room-ish area, up at where the bed was, and then whirled around to place his hands on his hips as he looked steadfastly at Lydian. "We need to go Aether. Your place needs a lot of things." he commented finally, more like a statement then a question. Not that he thought Lydian's place lacking, but Erik thought it could do with a lot more to look like a home instead of just somewhere to crash at night, and if he was going to stay here, Erik was going to at least try and make it comfortable, and not simply livable. Lydian turned back about to try to figure out exactly what he had. He had some water, which was good, and some berries, but no meat or other sort of protein, which was probably what Erik needed most. Still... meat wasn't something he could really gather. He had to get it from the markets to ensure that he (and now Erik) didn't get sick. He could not risk the little Sableye Gijinka getting sick. "I have a lot of berries... usually it's a treat to have some meat from the markets." He watched Erik closely as the boy moved about in his - no, their - house. What did he think of it? Was he disgusted by Lydian for living this way? Ashamed for the conditions? Ready to leave because Lydian was a bad Alpha and would not be able to take good care of him? He anxiously awaited word on the matter, even if he hid the growing unease by casually leaning against the doorway to watch Erik move. He blinked, however, at the declaration of going to Aether. The main city? Why would he want to go there? There was plenty of things here to take care of them, and what he didn't have within his home wasn't far away. Unless... unless he didn't want to stay here? Dropping his head, he nodded. "We'll go first thing tomorrow morning," he stated, voice impassive. OOC: ... I have nothing to say. Team-

"Berries aren't enough Lydian. No wonder you're so thin." he admonished, prodding Lydian's torso, before blinking at the guy again when his head drooped forward ruefully, and his ears caught the impassive voice. Did he think he didn't like it here? Not that the place was amazing or anything, because Erik would be lying if he said so, but why would he want to be anywhere Lydian wasn't?
All he wanted was some nice things he knew Aether would have, to spruce up the place a little, make it nicer... and maybe Lydian would be happier to come home each time. Stepping forward, the guy took Lydian's hands in his, squeezing it as the guy reached up to tilt Lydian's chin up. "Look, I like it here... not because it looks great, because obviously it doesn't. But because you're here." he murmured softly, gently as if Erik was trying to soothe a child. "But you live to sparsely. I just want to make it a home, not a house, okay?" Because if Erik was going to be living here, he wanted to live in a home, not a cave. "Didn't I say I was staying? I'm not going anywhere." [/style] |

Lydian chuckled when Erik prodded his chest, hand snapping out to grab the smaller male's wrist and then brought it to his mouth to kiss it softly on impulse. "I can survive on berries," he murmured softly with a gentle smile teasing his lips. "I'm not dead yet and I won't die any time soon." Dropping Erik's hand, he then blinked, smiling when his head was instead tilted up so that twin pools of ruby could meet the solitary sapphire again, the one whose spinning depths could manage to hold him so completely, subjecting him to Erik's whims and demands so completely that he couldn't hope to pull away. He was just as thoroughly tamed as he would be if there was a collar around his neck with the leash attached to it snaking about to rest in Erik's slender hand. But, despite his dislike of being vulnerable and his own fierce anger, he didn't mind. He would remain on his leash if it meant that Erik stayed by his side. He growled softly at the words, dipping to press a quick kiss to the boy's lips before pulling away slightly. "It is home, Erik... it's home, not because of how it looks or what it has inside it but because there is something good waiting there for me: you." He flushed uncharacteristically after that unexpected, instictual declaration, looking at a wall, the ground, anywhere but Erik. He hadn't meant to tell the boy exactly how much he meant to him, not yet anyway... OOC: ... They're so sweet <3 Team-

No one can survive on just berries, and he didn't at all like the idea of Lydian dying. His expressions clearly displayed his dislike, but the guy bit his lip when his eye smet Lydian's again, his breathe catching in his throat. It felt dangerous, falling in to this abyss of lava-like eyes, but it was an adrenaline rush that made Erik so thrilled as he stared breatheless at Lydian, marvelling at how a guy like Lydian could render him so completely reliant and dependant on him. It was dangerous yes, but oh what a beautiful danger it was.
Giving a dissapointed little sound when Lydian pulled away so quickly from their kiss, he bit his lip again at Lydian's words. How could he leave when Lydian treated him like this? Every word, every action the Houndoom gijinka did for him, made Erik more and more attached to him, until now, Erik just couldn't think of a day without him. A small little smile curled up his lips when he saw Lydian avoiding his gaze after that, and he reached forward to wrap arms around Lydian's neck, pulling him down slightly as he stood on his toes, to kiss Lydian again, as if claiming back the quick kiss that was too fast, and telling Lydian to please look at him already, instead of giving that declaration to a concrete wall.
Pulling back after a while, Erik gladly leaned his head against Lydian's chest, his hands dropping to encircle Lydian's waist now. Giving a contented little sigh, he spoke. "I guess... But Aether's a nice place. And if you want me to stay here, I'm going to have to get some of my belongings from my place, right?" he murmured softly, nuzzling against Lydian's chest. To be honest, Erik did need to get some of his clothes, since the rest of them were back at his place, and he wasn't about to survive on just two shirts for the rest of his life. Plus he wanted to touch up some of Lydian's house, but that's just Erik wanting to make himself useful, in case Lydian decided he was a bother and kicked him out again. The Sableye gijinka was just slightly paranoid, is all. [/style] |

Lydian loved Erik's eyes. They were like beautiful sapphires in their coloring, but they were so much more than that. They were spinning pools of depth, the beautiful crystals ensnaring him easily in their shimmering, swirling depths, and then he was lost inside them, wandering about with little hope of ever escaping. His instincts perked up at the sound that escaped Erik's lips, giving him a sense of petty satisfaction that Erik was so wanting to indulge him. He may not have expected the arms wrapping around his neck to yank him down to meet those soft lips, a soft little growl slipping from between his teeth as he kissed back, his hands coming up to cup Erik's cheek gently. He was not going to leave this one alone for a moment. When Erik pulled back, he couldn't contain a soft whine, wanting to continue the languid kiss, but the tight hold the boy had on him was enough for the Houndoom Gijinka, coaxing a quiet little pleased growl to rumble out of his throat, reaching down to gently stroke through the Sableye Gijinka's hair. He hadn't been close to someone like this in a very long time... since his sister had left him to be precise, and even then he hadn't felt quite as strongly about her as he did Erik. If Erik wanted to leave him, he doubted he could bear it, not like he had her leaving. He would never be able to let him go. "Aether is nice... though it's not my style. Too bright and busy for my tastes. But for you... for you I will go." He leaned down to nuzzle Erik's hair softly, picking the smaller male up in his arms. "Yes, you can go get your things. All of them. This is going to be your home now, and I don't want to hear any arguments to the contrary." He was aware that sounded very callous, but the thing was, he didn't mean it that way. He wanted Erik close to his side, and he didn't want to live in the big city. This was just his way of vocalizing that in the only way he knew: gruffly and with the tone of an order to it, though if Erik protested and claimed he wanted something else, he would - grudgingly, mind you, he had his pride to think about! - allow for alternative options. The feel of his fingers combing through Erik's dark haired felt pleasant, nice, almost addictive, and had Erik been a Houndoom like Lydian was, you probably would've had him whining in delight, much the same way a dog would when you scratched them behind their ears.
Chuckling when he heard Lydian's explanation, Erik had to say he wasn't surprised. Lydian struck him as someone who preferred to live alone, and while Erik had no preference on where he lived or with who, right now he'd suit Lydian's lifestyle anyday, since he doubted the other would like living where he lived, with the hordes of people going in an out of Aether.
Squealing slightly when Lydian picked him up easily, Erik frowned a little at his words, brows furrowing. Well, a little odd his phrasing of words, but since Erik wanted to live here with him anyway, the Sableye gijinka let it slide as moved his head up to nuzzle against Lydian's neck now, fitting it in to the crook.
"But... we can go in to Aether once in a while right? Like market day? I do kinda like what they sell there." Erik asked, a little unsure pout forming on his lips as he glanced at Lydian, leaning back a little to look at the elder male. Erik was a little of a shopaholic, and he did liked looking at the vendors wares for sale. The boy felt a little nervous at asking Lydian t hat though, unsure of what the other's reaction would be. Lydian liked feeling Erik huddled in close to him. The boy was small, yes, and it evoked a certain feeling deep inside him. What was that feeling? It was a feeling that was mostly beyond words to describe exactly, a certain kind of warm satisfaction. Houndoom were either one of two extremes, pack animals or absolute loners. Lydian had thought himself one of the latter, but now... now he was not so sure. The precise feeling of petty satisfaction just at feeling how Erik would tuck in him... oh, he couldn't describe it. He still was glad to have the boy closeby, and even more so when he picked Erik up to hold him close to his heart. Carrying him up the stairs was easy, and he couldn't hold back a contented growl at the feel of a nuzzle into his the crook of his neck from his passenger. He felt so at peace around Erik, as though nothing would ever intrude upon them, and yet at the same time there was something primal lurking just beneath the surface, something that could easily turn volatile at the slightest provocation to it. "We can go whenever you want, Erik," he murmured softly, leaning down to brush a soft kiss on the top of the boy's head. He couldn't have told someone why he did what he did. All he knew was that his instincts had compelled him to do something and then he had done it. "I don't mind an occasional visit, so long as we don't stay there forever. I don't really like crowds. Too noisy and too much potential for danger." OOC: Finally posted. Only took me... several hours. >.> I blame Dan. Team-

Erik found that he liked it ever so much, that he couldn't help but lay his head against the other's chest, arms still around Lydian's neck as Erik gave a little comfortable sigh, chuckling a little when he heard the little growls he was beginning to grow fond of coming from Lydian.
The soft rock from Lydian carrying up the stairs had Erik opening his half closed eyes, and then looked up at the guy when he spoke. Oh well, at least he was right, that Lydian didn't like crowds or people in general. His little partner was paranoid, that much Erik could surmise, and while he found it amusing that he equated crowds to danger, Erik only shook his head ruefully, and pulled himself slightly upwards to press a kiss on his jawline before he spoke. "Why are we going up the stairs Lydian?" Erik asked softly, a little curious as to why the dark haired elder was carrying him up. [/style] |

Lydian could tell that Erik liked his position wrapped in his arms. He could feel the boy tuck in close to him, and that pleased his instincts, pleased them greatly. Even the little chuckle as he started his contented growling couldn't change anything. He liked having this one curled up in his arms, tucked in close to him as if there was nothing else for him to do or be. It was a stroke to his ego, having someone so dependant on him, and yet... and yet it was more than that with Erik. Erik was special. Precious to him, just as much so as the humans thought his eyes. Lydian would... his eyes widened as that thought finished, and he paused with one foot on the upstairs landing, the other still on the steps. He would rather die than let Erik be taken away from him. He... he didn't understand. He had never felt that way about anyone before, not even his sister, so what.... what made this one so special? The gentle kiss pressed to his jaw snapped him from his thoughts, and he shoved them away for a later date and time to better examine them. "I'm taking you up so that we can get the bed sorted out," he answered softly, nuzzling Erik's hair. "Perhaps even get in a little nap somewhere safe and warm in an area more comfortable than at the base of a tree with its roots scattered everywhere." Blinking when Lydian suddenly stopped in the middle of his trek upstairs, Erik however was left no chance to question why when he continued, and the guy blushed at his reply, burying face in to Lydian's chest as they got to the top landing and towards the bed. It... somehow embarassed him that he easily wanted to sleep forever in Lydian's arms, but how could he not? It gave him sweet dreams, warmth, safety and contentment, something Erik hadn't felt in a long time. All of these made him drawn, attracted, and inexplicably attached to Lydian, so much so that he felt like he never wanted to leave.
Tumbling down on the bed, the guy grinned up at Lydian with his mussed up hair and sparkling blue eye. "You've got to admit, that particular tree's special." he grinned cheekily. Well, whether or not Lydian placed sentimental value in things or not, Erik didn't know, but the Sableye gijinka definitely did, and he wasn't going to ever look at that tree nor Lake Antebellum the same way again. Rolling over to make room for Lydian, the guy eventually ended up cuddling towards the elder male's body, almost as if they were two magnets drawn to each other automatically. [/style] |

Lydian couldn't help chuckling lightly at the sight of Erik tumbling down onto the bed, seeming very much like an eager puppy. The boy really just... he stole away Lydian's heart with every little move he made. Forget never having felt like this before. Forget the fact that he had only met Erik a couple days ago. Forget the world. It could all burn to ashes and dust for all he cared. Erik was his, and that was what counted. "I guess I do have to admit that," he grumbled, looking aside as a soft hint of red brushed across his cheekbones. "That tree isn't just a tree anymore." Usually he wasn't sentimental and didn't give a damn about things... but it had been where he'd met this adorable Sableye Gijinka. He couldn't not memorize and idolize it in his mind. Climbing onto the bed, he shifted so that Erik could cuddle up to him easily, even draping an arm around his waist as he lazily played his other hand through Erik's hair. Across the room, something skittered in the darkness. Two glowing eyes looked out of the shadows before the entity scampered into the light. A little Skorupi looked at the two on the bed for a long moment before puffing up indignantly. How dare this boy take attention from their Trainer! Howling out a war cry, he scuttled forward to launch a Poison Sting attack from his tail. Lazily glancing upwards, Lydian couldn't help but let out a loud snarl, fire shooting to life on his hand as he raised it up to attack the Pokemon that was going after his Beta. "No!" he roared, fury in his gaze, refusing to let Erik get hurt, even if he had to intercept the attack with his own body. OOC: Delphi, my Absol, will be coming into the first reply I make as soon as I hatch him. I just didn't wanna make you wait any longer for this reply. Team-

His arms naturally slipped themselves around Lydian's waist, and Erik pressed himself as close as he could to the taller one, legs curling themselves with Lydian's, before he finally sighed in contentment. "Not that the roots were very comfortable to sleep on. I think I prefer it here." he grinned, tilting up a little so he could press a kiss to Lydian's jawbone.
It was funny how Lydian managed to make Erik feel so safe. Ever since his mother had passed away and he had to live alone, Erik had always been alert, on the lookout if only to save his own hide. But with Lydian, it was as if Erik could finally relax, so much so that he didn't even hear the skittering Skorupi until the howling war cry came.
Surprised, Erik jumped at the loud cry and Lydian's subsequent snarl, but when he saw the poison sting attack headed straight for where Lydian had placed himself in front of Erik, the younger guy couldn't help but instinctively yank Lydian away, unwilling to see the Houndoom gijinka get hurt, as if that would cut out a piece of his own heart. Nevermind that Lydian had fire ready to burn the sting attack away, Erik just reacted, and he didn't even regret it even as the poison sting grazed the back of his hand, making him flinch. "Don't do stupid things like that." he hissed, as soon as the attack was over, scowling at Lydian. He didn't like the other guy putting himself in trouble, especially not for his sake. As sweet as it was, Erik didn't want to see Lydian hurt. Anyone else but Lydian, because he didn't think he could take it if Lydian dissapeared. [/style] |

Lydian enjoyed this feeling of warmth and superiority that he get from having Erik curled up around him, their legs tangled together and a gentle pressure fluttering across his jawline as the younger boy's lips made contact with his skin. But it was more than that. It was so much more than that. Lydian didn't like Erik for any little reasons such as a personal power trip or an ego boost. If he wanted those, he'd go out and pick a fight with an Lairon or something. No, Erik was part of him, and the thought of living without him was just as inconcievable now as the notion of surviving without air. Impossible. Still, he hadn't been expecting a jerk backwards, yanking him away from his protective position with a surprised yelp, as if he was a dog whose tail had just been shut in a door. His crimson eyes wide as he watched his Skorupi's attack scratched Erik's skin, he growled low in his throat. "It's my job to protect you," he rumbled, eyes narrowing again as he glared at the little Pokemon, making Merlin cringe as he realized he had just done something very very wrong. "And if I can't even do that from my own Pokemon, then I truly have sunked low." He then turned to Erik, eyes softening slightly. "May I lick your wound? I may not be a Houndoom, but I'm sure it might do a little good if there's any poison on you." He didn't want to see Erik in pain. The thought was just... it clawed at his insides, and he refused to let it happen. Not now and not ever. OOC: Since Houndooms have toxins in their fire, I'm just assuming that they'd have some antidote in their saliva so that they can lick their wounds and not be in pain forever... I may be wrong though, but it's cute. *shot* Team-

He just liked to see that Lydian was safe, but when his sapphire eyes opened, Erik blinked in surprise at how Lydian stared at the Skorupi, even whilst he cradled his injured hand in the other one. His lips pursed at his first statement, a little defiant even if the words tickled at his heart. "But you can't always be the one doing the protecting." he replied softly. He truly liked it, that he could rely on Lydian now. It made him feel safe, warm, in a little happy bubble. But at the same time he didn't want to be completely reliant on him now could he? Erik was useful afterall.
Following Lydian's gaze to look at the Skorupi, Erik winced at how the bug type cringed, and then turned to Lydian as he spoke again. Glancing at his wound, the guy skeptically looked at his companion, and then finally handed his hand over hestitantly. "Only if you're sure it won't poison you instead." he murmured, still unsure, but at the very least to let Lydian try. Inwardly though, he swore the first second Lydian showed any outward sign of being poisoned, hunted or not Erik was going to ship him to the a Centre.
Turning his gaze to the Skorupi, Erik shifted so his back was pressed against Lydian's chest now, leaving the punctured hand in Lydian's possession to do whatever he wanted with it as the younger guy extended the unwounded hand towards the Skorupi, a soft smile on his face. "Well hello there little guy. Care to introduce yourself?" [/style] |
