The fact that Lydian was partially one came as a pleasant surprise to him, but other then that he had no other explanation for this inexplicable attachment he felt for Lydian, other then maybe he just craved his presence, because it alone made him feel safe and protected. Snuggling even closer as he buried himself in the warmth that was Lydian, the guy felt like he could lose himself forever in Lydian's warmth, enjoying having a warm body to cuddle against instead of just sleeping against a cold hard tree.
Chuckling, the younger Gijinka blinked blearily u at Lydian. "They hurt though." he murmured, squeezing them shut again and nuzzling once more against Lydian's chest. "They're going to blind me. That's why I have to wear that eyepatch." His eyes were a normal sable brown before his transformation, but the first day after it he had cried and cried from the pain of it all and only calmed down after his mother clasped one palm over one of his eyes. From then on, Erik had always wore the eyepatch, and only took it out at night.
Easily falling asleep next to Lydian, Erik slumbered in a sleep more comfortable and safe then he's ever had in a long time. Always an early riser though, the guy had rustled awake the moment the first soft calls of early birds reached his ears. Automatically, the slight boy reached for his eyepatch, adjusting it on before carefully sliding out of Lydian's hold so he wouldn't wake him. Food. He always needed food first thing in the morning.
Scuttling over to the lake to splash some water on his face, a small motion of his finger had Atlanta flying to his shoulder, before Erik went off himself in search of food, leaving Chaos sleeping with the Poochyena, and deciding that Lydian would be fine for a bit as he went to scrounge for some breakfast. That most basic part of Lydian, the one that come to the forefront of his mind when he had been forced to become a Gijinka, was proud of Erik snuggling into him. It was what an Omega would do to a higher-rank pack member, and that only confirmed his self-assured position as the Alpha male. Even if he considered Erik his Beta, a honorable position if there ever was one, it still was reassuring to have someone who obviously - in his mind anyway - depended upon him so completely. It was soothing, uplifting even to have someone so close to him and willing to submit to his dominance. Indeed, courting this Beta would take no stretch of imagination at all- Wait a minute here. Did he just say court in his head? As in courting a mate?!? Sure, he liked Erik and the boy was sweet and pleased his instincts, but surely not enough to reach that kind of a level... right? The internal dilemma was pushed aside at the sight of those bleary sapphire pools, a moment of drowning wiping the matter clear from his head before they were hidden in his chest again. "That makes them all the more beautiful then, beautiful treasures that must be hidden from the world to protect their holder from pain." Pausing for one last nuzzle into the silky hair beneath his cheek, he settled in to watch the night for a few hours, keeping an eye on the surroundings before determining it safe enough to risk a little nap himself. What he did not foresee was that that little nap would turn into a good solid period of rest, his arms tight around Erik all the while, expression fierce as if to scare away anything that wished to harm them. This was their place to rest, and anyone daring to intrude here would receive a quick and ruthless Flamethrower to the face. Despite his Early Bird ability, he did not wake when the sunlight hit his face, a first for him. He did not sleep well, if at all, unless he was in full darkness, shrouded up in it like a comforting blanket. Instead, here he was, sleeping out in the sun without a care in the world, all because of Erik. He woke, however, when his instincts told him something wasn't quite right. Yawning widely, he turned his crimson gaze about sleepily before they widened and he shot up with panic in his eyes. Where was Erik! OOC: Lydian is fascinated with Erik's eyes. That is all. Team-

Wandering further and further away from where they had came from, it wasn't till much later did Erik had an armload of fruits, turned back... and realized he had no idea where he was.
Standing there stunned for a moment, the gijinka bit his lip. "Er, Atlanta. Think you can find out where we are?" the guy asked hestitantly, sheepishly grinning when the Pidgey chirped in admonishment, before taking up in to the air.
Her flying was not all to good yet however, and being young, she was not yet capable of climbing great heights. Proving little help, Atlanta eventually descended on Erik's shoulder, and the two trekked forward after each had had an Oran berry. He's going to have to find his way back somehow, right? If only so Lydian wouldn't worry, right? Funny how its only been a day and Erik already cared so much about the other's feelings, but the Sableye gijinka had a feeling that Lydian would be very worried indeed if he woke up to find them gone, if his overprotective attitude yesterday was any indication.
"Lydian?" the guy called out, in an attempt to try and find out if they were anywhere near where they had spent the night. [/style]

Lydian was in a panic. He couldn't find Erik anywhere, and his instincts were choking him, wheeling desperately to try to find him and nearly shutting him down as a result. Smells were too amplified, sounds echoed too loudly, he was spinning in a circle of over-stimulation and he didn't know how to make it stop. Groaning as he allowed himself to sink to the ground, his crimson gaze slipping closed as he tried to rein back in his senses with little success. Waking underneath the tree to the sight of his crumpled Trainer, Lancelot let out a loud cry of alarm, scrambling to his feet and trying to find a nice thing to calm the Gijinka down. As soon as he laid eye on the little blanket under the tree, he snatched it up and darted to his side, tossing it over Lydian's head to try to block out the sunlight and provide him a buffer against the world. Indeed, it did help, but not in the way Lancelot thought it would. Erik's scent still clung to the Flaffy wool, and it was that that had his muscles untensing from their twitching hyperactivity. He knew what he needed to do. Pulling the blanket off his head, he strode quickly to the tree and snapped his chain belt from the branch it hung off. "Mordred!" he called, summoning the little bird forth. The Murkrow didn't look overly pleased to be awoken in such an abrupt manner, but Lydian needed his help. "I need you to help me find that boy from yesterday!" Mordred looked at him for a long moment mistrustfully, as if he thought his Trainer had taken some kind of bump to the head and changed his personality entirely. "Now, Mordred!" That was more like it. Taking to the air, the Murkrow fluttered up to try to spot the small one his Trainer had asked him to. OOC: Grumpy Mordred to the rescue! Team-

Erik could swear he was walking around in circles, and he could've sworn he's saw that sapling at least five times... and look, there was that mossy rock again! Groaning, the guy crumpled in to a heap on the ground, carefully letting the berries down so he didn't dent them, and then bit his lip as he tried to figure his direction out. Note to self, never venture too far away again, at least not if he didn't have Cerberus along anyway. His female Houndour was the one who had the good senses and sense of direction, and more then once she's found a way for Erik to go.
But before he slept, Erik had unclapsed the belt that held his devices and let it lay alongside him as well, and because he thought this little berry excursion was going to be a short one, he never bothered to bring it along. Atlanta only came along because she had been awake and out of her Pokeball anyway.
"What do we do now?" Erik asked, a little at loss when he suddenly noticed his Pidgey seemingly distracted, lookiing up in the air. Looking up to follow her gaze, the slight guy narrowed his one eye when he noticed a black flying figure... but had no idea what it was. His Pidgey had other ideas though, and instead took off from where she had been perched on Erik's shoulder.
Whilst Atlanta may not be able to fly high, she could still fly at least, and break through the canopy of tree's to chirp loudly at the flying Murkrow. "Pidge, Pidgey pidge!" He's lost down there. Probably been circling for hours. the Pidgey informed the Murkrow, indicating the spot directly below her, before diving right back to stay by Erik, knowing full well the boy had none of his Pokemon with him. Lydian was not in a good mood. His instincts were starting to go haywire again, berating him for losing Erik when he was supposed to be protecting him, and the only thing keeping him together was burying his nose in that Flaffy wool blanket, inhaling his own scent mixed with Erik's and trying to calm himself with it. Their mingled scents did something to him at a primal level, awakening parts of him he thought would never see the light of day. He felt happier, more playful than he had been for a long time. Still, this chilling fear was creeping down his spine, telling him he had failed to protect his Beta, was downright distressing. Part of him wished he had the ability to sniff out Erik like Ragnarok might have, but if there was one thing he'd learned, it was that Ragnarok's finding abilities left a lot to be desired due to his own distracted nature. Finally, after a lot of searching, Mordred managed to hear the Pidgey, fluttering down lower to perch on a tree branch and notice where they were, carefully memorizing it. "Mur murkrow mur." Thank you. Keep him there. We're coming. He then wheeled about and fluttered back, careful to fix where he was in his memory before he moved on, darting down from the sky to land elegantly on Lydian's shoulder, a bored expression on his face. He'd done his job and managed to find the boy and his Pokemon like he'd been asked to. They were fine, no harm done. And yet, things weren't that simple. "Take me to him, Mordred," Lydian urged. "Now." The Murkrow looked at him for a long moment. Just what was this stranger to his Trainer? Nevertheless, he opened his wings and fluttered off, guiding Lydian towards where he'd left the Pidgey and her Trainer. OOC: Distractions. Team-

It took a long minute before Erik's mind finally got what she was trying to tell him. "Oh, you saw one of Lydian's Pokemon? That's good. Means he'll come soon." the guy cheerfully piped up. It was surprising really, how quickly Erik had came to trust and rely on Lydian, and the fact that he would come and rescue him no matter what. This matter of blind trust could prove dangerous someday, but he wasn't afraid of Lydian at all.
Settling down and not moving as he knew Lydian was coming, Erik pulled his legs up to his chest to hug them again, nibbling on an Nanab Berrry was he waited for Lydian, which surprisingly, wasn't too long. Was he not that far away then?
Perking up when another set of flapping wings came in to hearing, Erik's blue eyes focused on the source of the sound in case it was a threat instead of Lydian, but his whole body relaxed, a grin curling his lips upwards when he saw the familiar sight of the Murkrow, and then the dark haired boy that came running following it. "S-sorry. I got kind of... carried away." Erik murmured sheepishly, biting his lips as he looked at Lydian. "Breakfast?"[/style]

Lydian was not pleased. Just how far had Erik wandered anyway? It was pissing him off. He had to rescue Erik, and if he had wandered this far away, it was an insult to his own abilities as an Alpha that he had managed to get this far without Lydian noticing sooner. A low growl escaped his throat at the moment even as he followed Mordred. He was not going to rest until he found Erik again, and then... then he would handcuff the boy to his side if that was what it meant to keep him there! He was the Alpha and he would be obeyed! Mordred, already sensing the warning signs coming from his Trainer, let out a soft caw and fluttered faster. The last time Lydian had been like that, he'd had his tail feathers lit on fire. Not what he particuarly wanted. Not really. At the sight of Erik, Lydian let out a low growl, tension still coiled inside of him. "Are you hurt? Are you okay?" he asked gruffly, darting to Erik's side and sniffing a few times, relaxing only when he determined there was no scent of blood. Erik really was okay. "Breakfast sounds lovely." OOC: Short post is short and derpy. Cannot match when this late. Team-

Erik had no doubt that Lydian would come, and his soft smile only widened as the guy rushe dto his side, that familiar growl more comforting to him then to anyone else. Perhaps others might be intimidated by him, but you would be surprised to find out that this little slip of a boy simply found Lydian endearing, and the guy shook his head gently to indicate that no he wasn't hurt, and that he was okay.
Straightening up from where he sat curled up in a ball, Erik reached down to put a Nanab Berry in his mouth, before bending down again to collect the scattered berries. "I'm sorry I dissapeared,I just wanted to get some breakfast and lost my way." the guy explained in the midst of his task, occasionally turning his blue eyes to look at Lydian, before focusing on his task again, stumbling sometimes when his balance went off.
"Could you bring me back? Chaos and your Poochyena must be hungry, as will Lancelot." Erik asked softly, collecting the fruit and putting them in to the shirt he had used as a bag. He had on his other shirt now, but it was only after Erik had used them did he realized he was fresh out of clean clothes. Looks like laundry day then.
Picking up another Pecha Berry, this time Erik offered it to the Murkrow, gently murmuring a soft thanks as well, before turning back to look expectantly to Lydian with a grin.[/style]

Lydian was a lot calmer now that he had Erik back at his side. It was strange how Erik seemed to quiet the instincts that drove him the most - the ones that told him to rip and tear and burn until there was nothing left to hurt him - and instead awakened the ones that had remained dormant almost his entire time as a Gijinka - the ones to protect and nurture. Ruby eyes protectively - and was that a glimmer of possession deep within those depths as well? - stayed on the smaller male as he began gathering up the berries, his whole being still needing the reassurance that Erik was there, safe with him. Sighing as he watched Erik wobble and falter from time to time, he merely hummed in acceptance of the explanation and strode forward to provide a steadying hand whenever the boy needed it. A wry smile touched on his lips at the mention of his other Pokemon. "Ragnarok was still sound asleep when I left him," he explained softly, "and Lancelot usually doesn't eat too much, so he's used to scrounging up his own food." He then offered his hand for Erik to take, a pseudo-leash to keep him from running off again on him. "Shall we?" Mordred let out a suspicious caw at the offered berry, glaring at the boy who was thanking him, before he stretched out and snatched the berry from his hand, fluttering up into a tree to begin guiding them back. It was obvious this one sent Lydian into all sorts of strange moods, and Mordred would rather not be on the receiving end of the temperamental Houndoom Gijinka's ire. OOC: Poor Lydi, always freaking out over Erik. Team-

Taking Lydian's offered hand, the guy easily followed the elder guy's guide, and murmured softly at the explanation. "Well, Chaos should be awake by now. My Eevee sort of panics when I'm not around." Erik explained sheepishly, gripping Lydian's hand tightly subconcisouly. He liked the feeling of the Houndoom gijinka's hands around his, and like the rest of his body, it made him feel safe and protected. His Pidgey followed slightly abovehead, fluttering and chirping slightly until their campsite came in to view again.
A raised brow showed how curiously amused Erik was at the blanket left lying near his bag, but what caught Erik's attention was the nervous lashing of his Eevee's tail. Dropping Lydian's hand, Erik quickly went over to Chaos, murmuring soft comforting words, before giving one of the berries to the brown normal type out of his haul, smiling as the young one finally calmed down, and pounced on his breakfast.
Having satisfied his Eevee, Erik soon moved his attention to both the Poochyena and the Pawniard, offering them each a berry, before moving to his Pokeballs. Releasing all of them at once, it was a flurry of chirps, squawks, and a loud splash of water in midst of all the red lights. His tirtouga had been released in to the water, the rock and water type immediately diving to find his own breakfast. The rest however, was handfed by Erik. The chirpy Pachirisu grabbed her berry, and quickly darted off to join Chaos and chirped a greeting to the new riend. Erik's Mienfoo and Houndour however, were more sedate, each grabbing a berry before sitting down in a side alone.
Reminding the Pokemon to help themselves, Erik finally grabbed a few in his arms, taking a couple more Nanab Berries as he adored those, and settled down next to Lydian, grinning as he offered him one. "Eat them, and then I should get going." he murmured, winging it in case Lydian didn't want him to follow them.[/style]

It was times like this that made Lydian glad he wasn't a Liepard Gijinka instead of a Houndoom. If he had been, there was no doubt in the male's mind that he would have been purring his head off like a kitten. The boy was submitting to him just as he'd planned, and he had every intention of maintaining his dominance. Erik was special to him, exactly where the boy stood in his heart was beyond him, but in any case, he refused to let the Sableye Gijinka out of his sight. Things never usually went well for him when he would ignore his instincts, and all of them were telling him to take care of Erik and make sure he was happy. That was why he was happy to take the lead, following Mordred back to the campsite and then settling down there. Ragnarok was up now, trying to get the attention of the Evee, to no avail. Lydian let out a soft growl, the sound escaping him before he could hold it back, tug it back to where he could not scare Erik away. He did not like Erik releasing his hand. Ragnarok immediately swallowed down the berry, tail wagging as he trailed after Erik looking for more. Lancelot, however, managed a small nod of thanks, carefully spearing the berry so that he didn't prick the Sableye with the sharp tip and then nibbling on it with wary eyes, expecting a greedy Poochyena any minute now. Ragnarok was a puppy in the sense that he really had no self-restraint when it came to food. He was completely unaware of the Pachirisu's greeting, so busy with the food choices instead that he happily pounced on them and nibbled to his heart's content as soon as there was a mention to help himself. Lancelot sighed then, not wanting to impose on the boy's hospitality. He stole forward then, giving a good whack to the Poochyena's side with the flat of his blade to repude him, the little pup yelping and darting away to sulk in responce. Lydian had settled himself down at the foot of the tree again, ruby eyes following Erik wherever he went even as the Houndoom Gijinka gently ran his fingers over Mordred's feathers, the Murkrow having landed in his lap to keep an eye on things. He eased noticably when Erik settled down beside him again, taking some of the berries he'd brought but being careful not to touch the Nanabs since something told him his Beta had a taste for them. "You?" he growled softly, tensing again as his eyes lit up with molten fire, turning his gaze into a twin pair of ruby pools that could easily trap someone within their molten depths should they not be careful enough. "No, you aren't going anywhere if I have anything to say about it." OOC: Lydi is VERY possessive over what he considers his. Erik counts as his now. Team-

"C'mere puppy." Erik called out, taking pity on the puppy as he reached for another of the berries, and extended it to him. Grinning as he rubbed the top of his head, the young male then turned to Lancelot. "Just go ahead, don't worry bout it. I have all I need here."
Turning back to the small pile he had placed between the two, the guy picked up another Nanab, nibbling at it from a corner as he watched Lydian from a corner of his eye. To be honest, Erik had a distasteful feeling in his mouth when he brought up leaving, not at all liking the idea. But what could he do? He didn't want to impose on Lydian, and he didn't want to invite himself. Sooo, he brought it up cautiously.
But when Lydian countered him with a demand that he stay, Erik couldn't help the smile that cracked across his lips as he met the pair of enchanting red gold eyes with his own cerulean ones, the pair of eyes almost contrasting each other as Erik stared for a second, and then glanced away to hide a slow blush growing. "O-okay." he murmured, polishing off his berry, and then distracted himself by offering another fruit to Mordred. Silently, the b oy made no move to say anything else... to be honest, he didn't even know what to say. But some attempt at conversation had to be made right? "S-so what do you do e-everyday?"[/style]

Ragnarok, pleased with the renewed attention, happily chomping on the offered berry with a wagging tail and leaning his head up into Erik's hand. Lancelot just huffed softly, giving him a look that meant 'You're in for it' as he then settled to eat the remainder of his berry in peace. He didn't want to be there when Ragnarok hit his hyper phase, nope, not at all. The Poochyena could be scary when he was like that. Lydian's gaze was fierce as he stared into the single sapphire orb, every inch demandingly sharp and dangerous. He was a beast defending his territory, and in this case, his territory was Erik. Already his instincts were clamoring for him to claim this boy as his own, mark him for all to see and know that he belonged to some power fierce enough to dominate him and strong enough to do the same should they attempt to take his prize. Surprise was a good element to beat them down - he had only just met Erik so why was he thinking of the smaller male like this? - but he still had to put some conscious effort into keeping his beast caged, doing so by keeping close eye on the Sableye Gijinka as he fed Mordred another berry, the Murkrow nibbling on the edges of it because something told him that his Trainer might just snap if he didn't. It was while pushing down these instincts that he answered Erik's question. "It varies. I do a lot of training to try to teach these three how to behave, but mostly I just try to stay out of the way of Epispect and Team Rocket. I'm here to survive, not throw my life away for someone else's fight." OOC: Famous last words, Lydi. *will be making him a Rocket eventually* Team-

Afterall, Erik sometimes thought those two youngsters had enough energy to power up a whole country, so he's pretty sure they could handle it. As it was, the Pachirisu already bounded down, her thick white tail bouncing as she nibbled and finished berry after berry, befor bounding after Erik's Eevee, both beginning to chase each other in circles in a game of their own creation.
By then however, Erik's full attention was on Lydian, and he listened carefully as his companion spoke, slowly nibbling at his berry. "I'd be happy if you don't throw your life away at all." he murmured softly, words barely audible to your average human ear. Quickly realizing what he said however, Erik quickly shook it off, and then did a three sixty turn to smile up at Lydian. "Sounds like pretty much what I do, avoiding Epispect. We might need to visit the market in Aether soon though, or we're going to be surviving on only berries." Erik piped up, popping the last of his berry in to his mouth, before straightening up.
"Finish up whatever you want. I have to do some chores." With that, the guy padded away to pick up the soiled shirt on the ground, the one he had used to pick the berries. From there, he changed directions to the lake, unbuttoning the current shirt he wore as he did so. By the time he knelt next to the lake, Erik was topless, and sat cross legged as he washed up his shirts. Whilst the guy was not a stickler by any means, he did like his things to be clean, and with only two shirts, it meant daily washings at least.[/style]
