Kagura stretched his arms as he lazily followed Izen across a rope and plank bridge. It swayed with his step, making the man a little jumpy. He was definitely no gijinka, and if he fell from this height it would probably kill him.
"Izen?" he choked, clinging to the frayed rope, "How many stories of mine have included rickety bridges? And how many times did said rope bridge break while the unsuspecting character passed over it above a deep, dark canyon into which they were never found?"
The little bug-like pokemon stopped, turned, and stared at it's master. The larvesta cocked its head in curiosity, wondering at the sudden change in his master's willpower. It was only a few hours ago he had wanted to come charging into this place guns ablazing, and yet now that he was here the human had reverted into a spineless coward afraid of his own shadow. Kagura watched as the face of his larvesta scrunched up, and it took a sharp breath in.
"IZEN!"
The little bug took in another, sharper breath.
"DON'T SNEEZE!"
The blonde lurched across the bridge, scooping his pokemon up and making a beline for the other side. The pokemon breathed in a final time and... sneezed. Small embers shot in multiple directions, only to fall harmlessly on the cement next to where his master now kneeled out of breath.
"That... You... Don't ever sneeze on a rickety, old, wooden bride again!"
Izen cocked his head, in the opposite direction this time. What was his problem?

Thief || Tail Whip || Astonish || Lick || Scratch || Bind || Faint Atatck || Fury Swips There was someone else hoping to god's good heaven that the little fire bug wouldn't sneeze on that bridge, especially since someone else was standing on there aswell. She stared out at the two of them from her hiding place out in the open. They were far too intriguing to be ignored, so she had been following them for awhile. Though, she was far too scared aswell. So she had been following them, invisibly. If they were to look back or try and find her, all they'd see is that little zigzag line along her belly, but that wasn't too bad. She'd see them looking before they even realized it was her, and she'd flee. But that little fire bug, she had never seen one like that! And when the human picked it up and ran to the other end of the bridge so he could sneeze in safetly, the little Kecleon was even more intrigued. And grateful, she was certainly grateful. Slowly she walked after them, the little zigzag seeming to float through the air as she moved towards them, just wanting to see more of this strange little pokemon and the human.

Izen stared past his master. Something seemed off to him. For just a second he saw, or thought he saw, a strange kind of... movement? He stared hard, watching for it again, but it never came. Instead, he heard the yelp of his master and turned just in time to see the poor human trip over a piece of wood that had been left lying around.
Clumsy human....
Kagura sat up in a flurry of blonde hair and blue eyes. Okay, so he hadn't seed the damned thing there, and he had somehow managed to step on it at exactly the right angle in order to make it flip over and sent him flying face first into the concrete. At least the plank had been placed far enough from the edge that he was simply looking over the ledge and not falling to his death. Somehow though, the thought did not comfort him at all.
He moved away from the ledge, calling his pokemon back to his side and rubbing its head with his palm before standing and trying to find a less lethal way off the roof. The bridge that continued on to the next building had torn away, or been cut down, but looking over the edge where it looked to have been before now he say it dangling there. Dangling there just a few feet above a shorter building down below. Now he just had to work up... some kind of courage... or something like that.
Larvesta took one look at his master and sighed, choosing instead to start walking back the other way. This was so booooring... and knowing the man, he would never work up the guts to actually climb down the damned thing anyways.
