Could there even be places where humans have yet to discover? A haven for pokemon to live in peace from the evil things that humans do? Even if there were such a nice place, Shizuka was certain she, half human, half pokemon, could not go there. There really wasn't any place in the world where she could really fit in except for here on the edge of the world she had grown up to know. She now had obtained a cute charmander and shinx as companions, friends and partners in her solo journey to nowhere, but finding pokemon in the wild to train her pokemon up to was difficult, probably since with all the mess Team Rocket was creating, all the pokemon had been scared into hiding, killed by the pollution, or gathered to be a part of Team Rocket's arsenal. Sure, life here was pretty horrible, especially for a Gijinka such as herself, but she really didn't have anything to compare it too, so she wasn't often seen complaining. But is it really hate? Love? Is it a fantasy? WILD SNORUNT APPEARED! [/style] Snorunt || Male || Inner Focus || Ice || Level 7 Powder Snow || Leer || Double TeamSnorunt shivered as he wandered about, his little paws clutching his little cloak-like bits of his body close to him. His breath huffed out in front of him in little crystalline patterns, as per usual, and he scowled. One of the things he really hated about his life was being an Ice-type Pokemon. He didn't like the cold. Not at all. He hated being cold and he hated being wet and he hated being stuck alone where the ice howled across the plain icy barrenness that he had originally called his home. That was why he had left without so much as a second thought. Going home was overrated, he wanted to see the world. He wanted to explore and to get stronger and to even be able to live in a place where he didn't have to huddle in a hollow where the wind wouldn't cut into him and the snow wouldn't drift over him. That was why he had left the mountains for the shoreline, so that he could feel a little warmer. Sure, the spot he'd picked was still a little chilly by normal standards, the buffeting waves sending sea spray crashing over his body, but he didn't mind. It was much warmer than his home at any rate, though he could care less for the salt crystals that ended up forming to his skin as the water evaporated off his body. Grumbling under his breath as he rounded the corner, somehow managing to totter up the last cliff to a secure place, his brow furrowed when he saw a strange human standing there. Stupid humans. He remembered them. They would tramp up into his home, kidnap random Pokemon, and then climb back down again, leaving a wide path of destruction in their wake. Well, he was having none of that. Puffing himself up with air, he let loose a fierce war cry and charged forward, a Powder Snow shooting out from between his paws as he moved. He would not be another casualty, he wouldn't! So long as he still drew breath, he would not back down!

She began to rub her arms with her hands in the sleeves. Maybe at the least, if she could get used to the chilly breezes in the fall and winter, she could even get used to living here. As far as she knew anyway, this was the end of the world. After a long and treacherous journey, she had finally gone as far as she possibly could. Behind her rose tall mountains, as if protecting her from the chaotic world inland, so that she could have everywhere from the mountains to the sea to herself to live in peacefully. Loneliness? Was there even such a thing? Shizuka had been alone ever since she became a Gijinka, and it was no wonder she was used to the feeling by now. With her pokemon to keep her company here at the edge of the world, she was happy at least. Finding a place where the sand was dry and warmed by the sun's rays, Shizuka sat upon a stone jutting out from the sand dune, and brought out her Charmander, Neji, and her Shinx, Hataro. The two young pokemon at first were wary, expecting a battle, but seeing Shizuka's expression of bliss, they understood that the traveling days were finally over. After lying down and resting upon the not so comfy flat rock with her pokemon snuggled beside her to rest, Shizuka was about to decide to go looking around at this place for edible things and a place to make a sort of shelter when suddenly the girl and two pokemon were assaulted by a gush of soft, icy snow-filled wind. Shizuka and Hataro tried quickly to brush off the painfully cold snow before they got frost bite, but Hataro was more annoyed that when the snow melted from the heat of his body, he would get sticky and wet all over. Shizuka managed to brush off most of the snow, the remains melted and leaving her with a wet, sticky feel, but to Hataro's inconvenience, the snow stuck in clumps to his fur. And there was the culprit: a snorunt. It was a curious sight. Usually snorunt were found back in the mountains, but this one had decided to come down from the mountains. "A s-snorunt..." Shizuka identified the pokemon through chattering teeth. "...An ic-ce t-type...N-Neji, Emb-ber." Now, being soaked with icy melted snow, and the chilly breeze coming from the sea, and with the presence of an ice-type pokemon, Shizuka needed to crouch down near Neji and hug her knees to her chest to try to avoid the chilly winds and try to warm up. Neji took his friends huddling up to him as reason that it was his duty to protect them from this pokemon that had attacked them all. With a bitter scowl, Neji took a deep angry breath and spewed Embers at the enemy pokemon. But is it really hate? Love? Is it a fantasy? WILD SNORUNT APPEARED! [/style] Snorunt || Male || Inner Focus || Ice || Level 7 Powder Snow || Leer || Double TeamSnorunt hadn't expected two Pokemon to appear out from the human's side, but he didn't really care either. He felt a fierce stab of pride that his attack had apparently hit them all, and for the first time, he was glad that he had left his ice-covered home. He was already proving to himself that he was strong, that he deserved to be here and deserved to get even stronger as he did so. Though he really should move to a different location along the coastline, he mused to himself as he watched his breath huff out and crystallize in the air before him, preferably to an area further away from the mountains that had formerly served as his homeland. This area here was still too cold for his tastes because even though he was an Ice-type, he actually hated the cold with a burning passion. He didn't like shivering, and as a chilly gust of wind blew over him, his body quaked and he had to tuck his little coat-like flaps even closer to him again to try to preserve the warmth he had despite the lowered body temperature natural to the little Ice-type Pokemon. He was so caught up in his thoughts, in fact, that he didn't even notice the Charmander glaring at him before he felt the sting of fire over his body and he let out a pained squeal, his eyes closing as he took a powerful blow, though something inside him told him that it wasn't a critical hit that would have given him more damage. He whimpered when he opened his eyes again, his paws aching and his skin an angry reddish color where the burning bits of fire had come in contact with him. That... that had hurt! He had no idea that coming out from his home would be so painful! If he had... he might have stayed home.... No, he couldn't think like that! If he thought like that, he'd be giving up, and he wasn't the type to give up. Looking up with renewed fire in his eyes, he firmed himself and decided to try to help prevent a repeat performance of the attack with a quick Double Team, darting around and around so quickly that it looked like he made copies of himself. Let's see that Charmander try to hit him now!
