Well, to be honest, she wasn't really that sure. Was it really alright for her to be running away from human society like this? Or was it an inevitable turn of fate for her as a Gijinka? Somehow, although, Aether city had never felt like home. Neither had any place else inhabited by humans since she had become a Gijinka. She had to find her own destiny, and follow a new path. She could only hope that at the end of this journey, she could finally relax, and feel at home. But what if she was going nowhere, and just abandoning everything she knew? But here was a present thought; a pleasant thought: This place was beautiful! The lush green grass, and the snow capped mountains. Green land in nearly every direction, cool, crisp wind, and a wonderful sense of freedom. Not wanting to keep walking on anymore, she fell to her knees, and sat down in the grass. It was cool, but dry, and it wasn't muddy or anything. She wondered what could be so bad about this place. Right now, the rumors about the mountains being a place where many went in and didn't come back out seemed like a silly superstition. She could forget about her worries, and be a bit carefree. It wasn't that the mountains were like her dream home or anything, not at all. Just to find a place not tainted by pollution...it was like stepping into some dream world. "Kimochi wa ii desu ne..." She sighed in Japanese, her native language, and again realized that she was talking to herself. Yeah, there was that other fact that she wasn't sure if it was a problem to her or not: she was alone. She had her pokemon, yes, but sometimes, even pokemon couldn't solve the loneliness she felt about being the only " human" to talk to: herself. Or could she even be categorized a human anymore? Some humans even treated Gijinka as if they were no more than animals, yet, still, Gijinka had thoughts, and feelings, just like humans. Oh, why couldn't everyone just be nice!? But is it really hate? Love? Is it a fantasy? [/style][/style][/style] Words: 368 :3 OOC: ~ [/style] Tagged - mod/anyone

WILD LARVITAR APPEARED! [/style] Larvitar || Male || Guts|| Rock/Ground || Level 4 Bite || Leer With such abundant plant lining the slope of seemingly every mountainside, lush leaves and verdant grasses unseen in other parts of Aether’s surrounding areas all rustling gently in the wind to create an undulating sea of cool green waves, it was almost impossible to see the tiny rock-and-ground type nosing his way around. Almost, but not quite; the creature’s red belly, black diamond-like markings, and blood-crimson eyes kept him only just visible as he stumbled around, eyes wide as he took in the sights of the world above ground for the first time in his short life. The sky above was just so bright, so vibrant, and so very unlike anything he had ever seen before. His eyes still watered as he looked up into it, stinging from the sudden exposure to the sudden brightness of the day, but despite the pain he found himself unable to retreat back into the cold, dark subterranean world from whence he came. True, Larvitar were supposed to spend their childhood encased in dirt, eating away at it until they have enough stored energy to evolve, but for this particular youngster the curiosity of a bright light above his head while digging around for more soil to devour had made him impossibly curious after the pain of seeing light for the first time had worn off.
And so here he was, stumbling up the side of the very slope he should be destroying, awed little gasps escaping his throat at the sensory overload he was experiencing. The sound of flying-types chirping, the smell of grass and fresh air mixed in with the familiar aroma and soil, the feel of leaves tickling his tough skin and the faint touch of the breeze all felt new and wondrous to him, and he was so lost in the sheer magnitude of the moment - what were those big fluffy things up there in the blue, and could he touch them if he stood on the very tips of his feet and reached? - that he stumbled right into a stranger kneeling in the grass. A frightened whimper unfit for a creature destined to grow into a pseudo-legendary escaped him as he flailed his stubby little arms wildly, trying and failing to keep himself upright when he tumbled backwards to land the chilly bed of grass below with a squeak, eyes completely scrunched shut as he lay on his back. “Lar....” Ow...
OCC: Pardon the lateness! Also, could I ask that if you plan for Shizuka to interact with the Pokémon in this thread in Japanese, you include translation notes as I will have no idea what she's saying or how they should respond? ^-^' Sorry to be a pest.

The air was so clean and fresh, with enough oxygen for a person to breath easier, from the abundance of plant life in the mountains. So much pure nature was a rare sight in this land, so much that it did feel like she wasn't anywhere near Aether City anymore. The wind rustled the cool grass with a soft whispering sound, but even through that, Shizuka's Vulpix senses could pick out the abnormal sound of a small creature making its way through the grass, parting the foliage and continuing on its way. Following the sound, she curiously watched as a young Larvitar, hard to spot except for its very noticable red belly, eyes, and horn, stumbled around, gaping at its surroundings. It was a bit amusing, and cute, to see a young larvitar looking so awed at the world, that Shizuka smiled as she watched it, guessing that it hadn't noticed her yet. Larvitar were supposed to be known for burrowing around in the dirt, and spending much of their lives in harmony with the earth, and under ground, but this one was obviously not of the normal. It was more inquisitive than the majority of its species, and that's what immediately made it unique among others. The awed little gasps that the Larvitar was making were pretty cute too, and Shizuka found herself entertained by this young Larvitar. It seemed to be looking up at the sky with so much focus, that its stumbling around began leading it straight towards her, and soon, she found herself catching the little pokemon to help it from falling, and to keep herself from getting bruised by being run into by a rock and ground type. The Larvitar reacted by whimpering fearfully, and flailed out of Shizuka's hands, tumbling backwards into the chilly bed of grass with another squeak. "Woah, careful! Are you okay?" Shizuka asked, reaching out a hand of concern, even though she knew that it most likely wouldn't have understood her. But is it really hate? Love? Is it a fantasy? [/style][/style][/style] Words: 354 :3 OOC: Sure :3 Literally, what she said means "The feeling is good" but it's a very similar phrase to commonish phrases like "It's nice weather." or "It's a very peaceful/calming day." WILD LARVITAR APPEARED! [/style] Larvitar || Male || Guts|| Rock/Ground || Level 4 Bite || Leer The Larvitar sniffed to himself as he lay on the grass, still doubtlessly afraid that whoever or whatever he had run into, and not without reason. Most of his life before, swathed in the darkness of the underground, had been more or less in isolation; he was, therefore, without a real friend in the world and it was only thanks to the occasional Sandshrew or Drilbur that he had the luck to meet while they were digging their tunnels to thank for even knowing what “friends” even were. Other than these friendly yet all too transient acquaintanceships, he only knew of creatures that could harm him, those larger ground-dwellers who typically avoided him yet were still scary enough to leave a lasting impression on him. The worst of all was the time a Gabite digging for gems had almost found him in his own tunnel, but thankfully the larger creature had not found what he was looking for and went on his way instead of eating him up. Still, these events left him a tad nervous when faced with any new creatures or people - people like this girl, who caught him up with her soft, warm hands even while he flailed about in a panic.
Where her hands with their momentary brush did little to soothe his worried, however, Shizuka’s concerned voice caught his attention, its sound both soothing and strangely unfamiliar yet somehow calming to the youngster. At her words the dual-type almost ceased crying completely - almost, but not quite. Two thin trickles of tears still stained his black and green cheeks even after he tentatively cracked open his red eyes to glance up at the Vulpix gijinka and the sight of her face and outstretched hand framed in light above him, though once more strange to the little creature, transformed some of his fear into curiosity. He hiccupped once, blinking at her in wonder as he tried to place what exactly she was, so very different looking from what few Pokémon he knew. He had no idea what a human being was much less a gijinka, and his little jaw dropped into a small oval as he stared at the girl for a moment before realizing how silly he must look and lowering his gaze.
With one stubby arm he wiped at the tear stains cutting through what dirt still clung to his body, trying to dismiss them, all the while uttering low repetitions of his species name. “L-larvitar.” I-I’m okay, he stuttered out finally, unaware of what she had asked him but feeling like it was the right thing to say right now. Once he figured that he had done enough to erase the tears, he turned his attention back to the girl and saw that her hand was still extended toward him, triggering the memory of how warm her hands felt when she tried to save him from falling. Curiosity won out over fear as he scooted closer and pressed his head to her hand, letting it rest right next to his horn, wanting to see if the warmth was really there or just a trick his worried mind had played on him. To his shock, it wasn’t, and he let out a surprised squeak before rubbing against it. Nothing he had touched had ever felt so soft or warm, and he found himself wondering if all Pokémon on the surface were like this.

She was more curious than anything else of what it would do about the situation. She smiled kindly as the Larvitar lay in the grass for a little while to think and collect its thoughts. The Larvitar's dirt covered olive green skin was as hard as stone, yet faintly warm with the heat of life. The Larvitar flailed around in a panic for only a few moments, but it calmed at the sound of her voice. "It's okay, you don't have to be afraid. I won't hurt you." she reassured it in a soft, soothing voice. At this point, after watching the young Larvitar for a little while, Shizuka's impression was that it was unexpectedly adorable. It tickled her maternal instincts into wanting to care for the young Larvitar, and her trainer instincts in wanting to raise the Larvitar into a stronger pokemon who could fend for itself. Shizuka giggled in infatuation with the Larvitar as it rubbed its head against her hand, and she began to gently move her hand back along it's head, around it's horn, stroking it slowly in an attempt to not surprise it. But is it really hate? Love? Is it a fantasy? [/style][/style][/style] Words: 202, not my best >< but it's a start to getting back my muse OOC: Aww that Larvitar is so cute xD
