Allie hated living in a city. Back when she had her vision she had loved it because there had been so many things to look at. But now that was gone and all she had to judge her surroundings by was smell, sound, and touch. The city always smelt putrid, like exhaust and garbage. There where so many loud, harsh, and unpleasant sounds all around her. When she touched something it was often hard, rough, or unpleasant. Living in a city was all sight, something that she had never realized until now. That was why she liked the park. Smells of flowers and nature surrounded her, not a whiff of exhaust to be found. The sounds that she picked up where just natural sounds, like a rustling in a tree, the wind, a quiet mutterings of another park-goer, or her own heartbeat. Instead of something hard she would feel the soft blades of grass when she brushed her hand against the ground. This place really was one of the few places that she could get away from the city.
People said that she would be able to get away from the city once she had at least one strong Pokemon. Then she would be able to explore all the areas she wanted. But in order to do that she would have to catch Pokemon, which meant putting in effort to find them. The last thing she was going to do was put in effort to find one of those creatures, even if it would give her a chance to leave the city. Why do people like Pokemon so much anyway, she thought to herself. All those things do is cause trouble. As the thought traveled through her mind she rested her hand on the pokeball that contained her Spheal. It was strapped to her belt like always. Even if she didn't like Pokemon it was nice to have at least some backup in case someone decided to attack her.
Allie let out a sigh and pulled her hand away from the pokeball. A small thud was mud when she leaned back, letting her back and head rest against a tree. She had been sitting down in a mostly secluded part of the part for the past few hours and had did not intend to leave any time soon. This was a place where she could relax and think, something that she cherished.
