LET THE WHOLE THING BLOW
B A S I C I N F O
★ NAME: Syah Harris Montgomery
★ NICKNAME: he prefers to just be known as Syah. occasional 'ferret-boy'.
★ MEMBER GROUP: gijinka
★ POKEMON: furret
★ STATUS legal
★ AGE: eighteen
★ HEIGHT: five feet, ten inches
★ WEIGHT: around one hundred fifty pounds
★ FACE CLAIM: Yoh Asakura from Shaman King
★ APPEARANCE:
At first glance, Syah does not appear like much of a rural boy, and instead, looks like one straight out of the city. Standing in at seventy inches, or five feet and ten inches, he is considerably normal height for males his age, with a decent enough weight of a hundred and fifty pounds to boot. He is not a body builder, perse, though he does have a slight bulk to him. Yet, the bulk is, more likely, his body fat. Truth be told, he is fairly thin-boned and fragile, easily broken bones are common with him. Therefore, he will be careful with everything that he does, pretty much.
As far as physical appearance, Syah appears like any normal, ordinary boy would be. Somewhat long, choppy hair that seems to give a wind-blown appearance and cuts off near the base line of the neck, he could be considered to look somewhat like a girl. Though, he lacks the assists that a girl would most likely have, so therefore he is, in fact, one of the male beings. Round eyes like quarters are placed just above his cheekbones, though they tend to be in a more serious fashion. It is quite difficult to catch his eyes wide, to be honest. Optics are mostly a light amber-brown coloration, somewhat turning copper in a different lighting. His skin is mostly pale - due to the fact that the last four years he refused to honestly go out of the city - and he burns quite easily.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
★ POSITIVE:
- gentlemanly
- polite
- attentive
- respectful
- thinks before action
★ NEGATIVE:
- short-tempered
- impatient
- anti-social
- skittish
- not entirely 'bright'
★ HABITS, QUIRKS:
- Syah has a bit of a skittish streak he's trying to shake. He is pretty uncomfortable around humans, as well as gijinkas, and prefers to stay away from them.
- He has a necklace that his brother made for him, a few years before he died.
- Mumbles a ton with his words. Barely anyone can understand him unless you're listening hard.
★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
On most days, Syah will not be talking that much to anyone in general. He is a fairly silent gijinka, rarely speaking any words out loud, most to himself. If asked a question, he will respond with as little words as he can. He loathes to explain things out to other people, and would turn ones with multiple questions away as quickly as possible. He does not have any tolerance for pests, and will not respond to them.
If anything, he is extremely lazy. He refuses to do work if he does not get anything in return, which is one other reason why he didn't want to stay at the farm and work. He never really gotten anything back for the work, so he left in order to be a bit more appreciated, in his mind. He tends to keep to himself, as well, not really wanting to interact with others his age at all. It seems to be a bit of a drag to him, that's mostly the case. Another bit of his attitude toward certain events is a calm, go with the flow type of tone, not really caring what is going on around him.
Syah is, amazingly, very reluctant to do anything at all, sliding in with the laziness that he has. He does not understand the point of it all, to be honest, to be the very best that you can be. This has lead the boy to be noncompetitive as much as he can be, and would not be upset over a loss at all. He would try again, over and over, though those next attempts would be more half-perfect than anything.
What may not seem very believable is that, Syah is actually quite the gentleman when he can. He is very proper with ladies, not so much with men, though he is pretty polite. Another thing about him is that, he is a hopeful person. He wishes for things to happen nicely and smoothly, and believes in all that he has to make sure it comes true.

H I S T O R Y
- At the very start of his life, nothing was ever so glamorous, or anything of that sort. It was boring and plain, though that wasn't what it was like to a few middle-class farmhands on the outskirts of Aether. Everett and Elissa were already blessed with a two year old son, Erlic, when the mother was carrying her second child. Born on a bright spring morning, the little boy was everything that Elissa thought he would be: he had so many features like his father, and several like his mother, unlike his brother, who mostly took after his mother. Things were decent, and Everett went back to work, the mother taking care of both of her sons by herself, most of the day.
- Most of his life went by uneventful, save for another sibling that was to become born by the time Syah was six. He and his brother had always dreamed of becoming Pokemon trainers, though they didn't want to leave their new sibling behind once they were of age. Though, a few minutes after their baby sister's birth, Elissa had died, her body not exactly strong enough after giving birth. Everett was crushed, beginning to shun his sons and look more after the baby girl, whose name became Elise. A few years passed, and some things were starting to change.
- When Syah was about fourteen, his brother sixteen and sister eight, the virus struck the motherless family, though only the males were affected by it; Elise avoided it, for as soon as her father received it, she was sent off to her aunt who lived nearby. Everett had died soon after that, though both of the boys had lived long enough to receive the transfusions. However, there was a bit of a problem with the older son, as the DNA he was given was rejected by his body, and Erlic ended up dead as well. Syah did survive, with the DNA of a Furret, and almost instantly felt the changes. He felt more alert, and more willing to help out with other people. When he returned back home, Elise did greet him with tight hugs, though he just.. didn't feel the same as before the virus.
- There was a bit of a problem, as a fourteen year old boy couldn't just own a house in the farmland outskirts by himself. Therefore, either he had to head off on his own and leave his sister for adoption and a good family, or both kids had to find a different place to stay. He chose the latter option, as his baby sister was really all he had left. A couple of strangers had ended up finding them and taking them under their wing, but it wasn't exactly the best life the two had from then on.
- A few months back was when the kids headed out, Syah being his current age and Elise just turning twelve. He could take care of her the best he could, though he knows that he isn't her parent, only her older brother. They had decided to split up and take their own path, though they do still meet up once a month for about a week. Catching up with each other's news and the like, and he really does care about her. It just seems a bit difficult to see it.

P L A Y E R I N F O
★ OOC NAME: icicle works, i can go with icy though.
★ AGE: fourteen and seven months.
★ OTHER CHARACTERS: nope!
★ RP SAMPLE:
"Hey, bro, we're going to be together for a long time, right?"
Slightly confused, the ten year old turned away from eavesdropping on their parents, a blinking face turned directly toward his brother. The two didn't look that much alike, that was certain: Erlic had dark, dark hair like his mother, though Syah had the lighter, more auburn like shade of his father. The older had more hazel eyes; he had slightly more amber-brown colored tones. They appeared to be the same height, Erlic growing slightly slower than he should be, though with the younger sitting on the floor, legs sprawled out in front of him, and him standing, it didn't really matter.
"I sure hope so, bro. I don't want to be without you when I get my first Pokemon." the younger stated clearly, blinking so that he could rid his expression of his puzzlement, at least, that worked in his mind. "Our, first Pokemon," the elder corrected softly, a sigh escaping his lips right after. Neither said a word after that, the silence being too awkward for them to understand. They couldn't be separated; that wouldn't be right. No. No.
Oh, so you know that awkward moment when you feel as though someone is watching you? That was almost exactly what Syah was feeling when the older teenager was just beginning to stir from his disrupted dream. Almost as though it was a spell, the boy's eyes opened fairly slowly, moving his arm not laid upon up toward his face, rubbing the bits of sleep from his eyes and the last strings of non-reality from his thoughts.
Huh. A dream. he thought, opening his mouth wide for a yawn, lasting quite a few seconds, before registering where he was. Other beds were in the cabin, each with someone else in them, as much as he knew. Seven other beds were in here, that was what he knew, other than his own. He stayed still though, amber-brown optics darting around the room of the cabin car, observing any other signs of movement, or activity. When none were spotted, he gave a short sigh, shifting sluggishly from his side up to the side of the bed in an upright position.
What he first noticed was that, the walls were plain. The next was, there was noise out the door.
Wait. Noise. People.
...Fuck.
"Can't get any bit of peace 'round here, huh?" he grumbled harshly, then getting his own self up to his feet, hesitating a moment before taking a few steps in the direction of the group. However, he stopped quite a bit of a ways from them, taking into account of who was who and what was going on. Tilting his head a bit to the side, he noted two girls and two males, and one of the girls seemed to be- crying? No, not a chance, heh.
"What's the commotion 'bout?" he muttered under his breath, though decided to keep silent until he was noticed. Which, well, should be soon, right?
...Whatever.
