It was an ordinary day like any other, but Brian had found that it was time for him to train certain members of his team of chaos so that they could perform to the best of their ability. Today that meant only his first two Pokemon would be tagging along as they had performed well together in the past. ”Vulcan and Dionysus. You two are going to get stronger today if it is the last thing that either of you do,” said the young man as he stared down at the Magmar and the Treecko.
The two Pokemon were both doing their best to look excited about the prospect of getting more powerful, and in truth Vulcan was looking forward to getting into a real tussle with a decent opponent for once. The birds that he had incinerated the last time had barely given the Fire Pokemon a proper workout, so he wanted to rectify that situation immediately. ”Magmar. Magmar.” Lets get this show on the road already.[/i] As he spoke, Vulcan pounded a clenched fist into his opened hand, and while the Magmar was raring to go Dionysus was more interested in not being pitted against a Pokemon that he was weak against.
Whether they wanted to do battle or not, Brian didn’t care. All that he asked of his Pokemon was to follow his orders to the letter, which meant fighting for as long as he needed them to. Of course, they were sure to encounter some impressive Pokemon in this place as any that were in here had to be strong to keep security off their back, and messing around in the Electric Plant seemed like something an agent of chaos should do on a regular basis.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike trotted about the hallways of the electric plant confidently, a certain swagger to her step. She was the leader of her little pack here, and she found herself with a confident high hold to her jaw. She had already beaten up some stupid Pichu who was dumb enough to think that he was strong enough to lead her little rag-tag gang of fighters, but instead, she had quickly put him in his place, teaching him what was what and sending him scurrying away with tears gathering in those big black eyes and his little stub of a tail sneaking down between his legs. Her fur ruffled with the amusement and pride that accompanied the mental image, a little bit of electricity crackling on the ends of it, and she found herself sauntering a little further away from her usual territory. She was feeling high off the power trip from earlier, and she just knew that today was the day that she could defeat that stupid Magnemite controlling the area next door so that she could conjoin the two territories and begin gathering some stronger recruits for her gang so that they could keep the humans out. A low growl escaped her throat at the thought of humans. She hated them! They thought they were soooooooo powerful with their thumbs and their walking-upright, but she knew better. A good strong bite in the right places would send them packing just as it would anything else. But nooooooo, the humans had to make the fight unequal by making those things to enslave Pokemon, and then the cowards hid behind their slaves. And of course it happened to be when she was in the middle of one of her 'I hate human' rants that one would just happen to appear. Great. Just sparking perfect. Her hackles rose and she let out a growl, settling into a fighting crouch. Why couldn't these stupid humans just leave her and her kind alone? A snarl flying from her muzzle, she launched herself at the intruder, aiming not for the Magmar or the Treecko that he was travelling with but at the white-haired bastard himself. She'd show him for intruding on her turf!

The snarl had caught his attention, and the young man couldn’t help but smile as he saw the small creature charge at him. Brian couldn’t help but wonder if the small Pokémon really believed that it was going to be able to land a hit on him, but one had to admire that level of arrogance in a Pokémon. It was just sad that something was going to have to be done to beat it out of the Elektrike, but he couldn’t let himself take a hit like that from any Pokémon unless it was in some way to help his plans.
Almost immediately, Vulcan and Dionysus moved into a defensive position to protect their trainer from harm with the Treecko standing in front of the Magmar. It was sort of their version to an army tactic, which would have looked more impressive if there had been an actual army performing it. ”Dionysus, intercept and take down the target, and try to be snappy about it. I’m sure Vulcan would like to have some fun today as well,” the young man said with a devious tone in his voice. If only the two Pokémon hadn’t been on their toes, then a well-placed hit might have knocked some sense into the white haired man’s head.
Alas, this wasn’t the case, and the Treecko ran toward the charging Pokémon, and just before they were supposed to collide Dionysus did a front flip and attempted to slam his tail on the Elektrike’s head. Of course, the small electric Pokémon were known for being spry on their feet, so it was just a matter of seeing if that was the case in this instance.
”Magmar. Magmar. Mag. Magmar.” [i[That little lizard gets to have all the fun.[/i][/color] Oh well, it would probably turn out the same way it had the last time with him having to step in and save the gecko from certain doom.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveAs soon as the Electrike saw a smile on that human's face, she absolutely lost it. The snarl that contorted her muzzle only grew more violent as she let out another howl of anger, speeding her pace, but it was too late. The two other Pokemon were already moving to protect the human, filthy traitors, and she felt her fur brindle in disgust. By all rights they should be siding with her and helping to get rid of those slavers, but nooooo, the sparking idiots had to side with the monsters! She pressed herself a little harder, keeping her eyes on the Pokemon she was charging straight at, but when the other jumped into the air, she knew what was coming. She led her own little gang and she was hardly stupid - she knew the preparations for an attack when she saw one. She immediately began to make use of the reflexes she'd spent many a night honing to perfection, paws faltering for barely a moment before she had sprung backwards, just shy of the attack that would have made impact on her head. A triumphant gleam entering her eyes, she immediately reached into the electricity stored inside of her tiny body, discharging it into the air with a crackle as she leveled a Thunder Wave right at the Treecko. Paralyzing her opponent had come in handy in many a scrap, and she was hardly going to pass up the opportunity to land a decent hit on the other Pokemon that could very well slow the other down so that she could take him down quickly and then turn her attention back to teaching that bastard a lesson he wouldn't forget about any time soon.

”Oh, this one could be quite useful to use, Vulcan. All we have to do is wait for Dionysus to knock her out,” said the young man as he watched the Electric Pokémon get out of the way and launch a counteroffensive. Of course, it wasn’t an attack that injured his Treecko, but it certainly wasn’t something that anyone would consider pleasant. Obviously, the sparks did signify that his Pokémon was now going to have some trouble moving around, but hopefully Dionysus would be able to use that ot his advantage in some way. After all, Brian wasn’t going to jump into help the Grass Pokémon out unless he absolutely had to do so.
Naturally, the Treecko did not like the fact that his attack had missed, but he disliked the numbing sensation even more. Luckily, he was still able to move for the moment, which gave him the opportunity to initiate an attack that would get his revenge for being paralyzed. Quickly lifting his arms, Dionysus fired two red beams from his arms that would start to drain the energy of the Electrike and allow the Treecko to absorb it, and then things would become even more interesting for his trainer to watch.
While Dionysus attacked, Vulcan let loose a flame toward the ceiling and began burning his name into the ceiling, which was just to occupy his time until it was his turn to battle. The Magmar was pretty sure that no one would mind the fact that he was technically tagging the place, but even if they did he was more than capable of making them forget any ideas of reprimanding him. After all, there weren’t many people who would want to charge headfirst into a Flamethrower, and those that did were usually well done.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike snarled loudly, hunkering down and glaring defiantly at the human who dared to think that she would just go down without a fight and then roll over on her back and just obey him. Well he'd have another thing coming! She'd just have to show him that there were Pokemon out there willing to fight back against the tyranny of his kind, enslaving Pokemon and forcing them to fight their battles! She yelped when the energy beams hit her, tossing her head from side to side as she tried to shake off the slight bit of tiredness that swept over her as she felt her energy get sapped away from the attack, her paws stumbling back a step or two before she growled and bristled, refirming herself again. Spark it, she wasn't going to take something like that lying down! Paws slapping against the ground, she began to lunge forward, keeping her gaze on the Treecko as she ran towards the Grass-type determinedly. She would make him pay for deciding to smack her around like that! Letting out a warrior's cry, she lowered her head so that she would try to get the most out of her impromptu charge at her opponent in a Tackle attack that she just knew would leave a mark if she managed to make contact with the other Pokemon.

The battle was becoming rather interesting to watch, and while neither one was much for commentating on it Vulcan and Brian watched intently. The Magmar had believed that the likelihood of Dionysus landing his attack on the Electric Pokémon was very slim, but Brian knew that the Treecko was too determined not to fail again. Of course, there was no doubting that the Electrike had a lot of spunk in her that would make her a wonderful asset to the chaotic ways of Brian, but sometimes too much spunk was also a negative attribute to have. Time would tell whether or not the white haired trainer would be able to successfully break the Pokémon’s spirit.
Then again, the battle was far from over as the Electrike was already charging in for another attack, but Dionysus wasn’t going to get hit a second time. Well, that was his intention, but his body had other plans for him. The paralysis kicked in at that moment, which allowed the Electrike to hit the Grass Pokémon right in the gut. ”Treecko.” Nice shot. Stumbling to his feet, Dionysus ran forward and spun quickly when he got close to his enemy. He was going to Pound the little mutt if it was the last thing that he did, which was quite possible if things kept going like they had been.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike could see that the other Pokemon was starting to try to dodge, and she snarled loudly, redoubling her pace. 'Oh no you don't!' she thought to herself right as the other was seized up with the sparks and she rammed into him, sending him skittering back. A stab of pride floated through her that she thought she was winning, or at the very least holding her own in this fight, and she found her muscles coiling, ready to spring again and try to take care of this Pokemon so then she could make her move against that stupid sparking human. Her fur bristled up again and she snarled low in her throat, firm in her resolve to never accept a human as her master, especially one that hid behind his enslaved Pokemon like a sparking coward. Because she was so caught up in her thoughts of how she would always resist and never give into the sparking humans, she didn't even notice that the Treecko she had just knocked down had gotten back to his feet again and ran at her. She only knew that he was attacking when his tail slammed into her body, knocking her backwards a few paces. Ow. Okay, that had hurt. He must've hit a sensitive spot if things hurt this much, and she winced a little as she got back up to her paws. Still, she was nothing if not a fighter, and she managed to stand on her own four paws again, even if her ankles were trembling a little from tiredness. She pushed that aside though with a low growl, instead bristling her fur up and charging forward again in another Tackle attack. Maybe, if she got lucky, she'd manage to catch him at another time when his paralysis was acting up and she could land another good hit on him. Her lips twitched at the thought. As much as she may not have liked that she was taking on a human's enslaved Pokemon, she still wasn't going to turn away from the fight, especially when not only her own freedom lay at stake but also the chance to show the stupid human who was boss.

It was probably through a combination of good luck for him and bad luck for the Electrike when he struck the Electric Pokemon, which gave him a moment’s reprieve to catch his breath. Alas, that moment was spent rolling out of the way of the incoming Electrike, who seemed to be determined to knock him out. Well, he wasn’t about to let that happen, so he began to focus on generating those two red beams so he could regain his energy. His plan was foiled as the sparks appeared again as he fell to his knees, and the Treecko’s eyes turned to his trainer as he wondered what he was going to do. Dionysus couldn’t see winning a fight when his body kept preventing him from completing an attack or getting out of the way of an attack.
Naturally, Brian was eyeing the battle with a great curiosity in his mind as he wondered if his presence was causing the wild Pokemon to lose her focus during the battle. If this was so, then he was losing his interest in having the Electrike around, but he had to know for sure if his theory was correct. Naturally, there was only one way for him to figure this out, which was to try and purposefully attract the Electric Pokemon’s attention with his voice or something. Turning to Vulcan, an idea popped into his head that might make his experiment seem completely natural.
”You know, Vulcan. I think that maybe our sparky friend is feeling a little self-conscious about fighting with an audience. Oh, I do hope that she’ll learn to fight better when she is under my control,” he said in a tone that made it sound as if wasn’t paying attention to the battle any longer. Of course, the Magmar had no clue what was going on at the moment, and he frankly didn’t care enough to figure it out.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike let out a snarl when the Treecko managed to roll out of the way of her attack, and she scrambled to a stop, growling and bristling uneasily. She wasn't all too fond of her position right now, what with her back to her current opponent and her front to a Magmar and that stupid human. She snarled, eyes darting around as she strained her senses to try to understand exactly what was going on behind her. She heard the sound of sparks as paralysis got the Grass-type again, and taking advantage, she gathered herself up, muscles coiling with the intention of leaping behind the other Pokemon so that she could have her back to a wall, when suddenly she heard a voice. It set her entirely on edge and she let out a loud snarl, rage blinding her to the consequences of her actions. Self-conscious? Under his control? Spark that! Howling a war cry, she pushed herself to dive at the human in a Tackle attack, forgetting her fight with the Grass-type Pokemon. She would teach him who was self-conscious! Her vision tunneled and she roared loudly, sparks jumping around her little body as she leapt into the air, fangs bared and ready to sink into flesh to make someone hurt.

A smile appeared on his face as he noted that the Electrike had been unable to control herself and came barreling toward him like a mad animal, and Brian bet that she thought that she was going to hit him. This was not going to be the case as the white haired gentleman neatly hopped out of the way of the incoming Pokémon. ”Well, you are a sensitive one, aren’t you? I bet you were the runt of your mother’s litter too, weren’t you? You really should see someone about those issues They might just cost you your freedom,” said Brian as he kept his eyes locked with the Electric Pokémon.
Meanwhile, Dionysus couldn’t believe that not only was his trainer helping him in this fight, but that the Electrike had fallen for it. Well, this was not something that he was going to waste this opportunity as he charged forward as fast as he could and swung his tail right at his opponent once he was close enough to Pound. Of course, his attack would only work if the sparky mutt kept her attention on Brian instead of remembering who she was fighting, but even if he missed the Treecko had a good feeling about which way this battle was going to go.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike let out a snarl of frustration when the human avoided her attack, locked her knees so that she would spin out, paws skidding against the ground and turning her about so that her back was again to the wall. She bristled at the insults spilling from those lips, but rather than charge blindly, she forced her fur to smooth, her paws trembling with the force of her anger. She would not be foolish enough to spring for the other again, not when the taunts were obviously intended to bait her to rise to them. As much as it galled her to just let him insult her, she forced her attention back to the Treecko that was attacking her. Unfortunately, by the time she'd come around to it, the other Pokemon was already in action, tail ready to slam right into her body, and as quickly as she gathered herself up to leap out of the way, she wasn't quite fast enough to avoid the attack, and the blow she took was quite painful, sending her flying to crash into a nearby wall with a yelp of protest. She slid down to the ground slowly, her whole body aching by this point, but she wasn't the type to give up. Shakily, she got back to her paws again, and snarled at the Treecko, pretending that her limbs weren't shaking still, quaking in protest of the very thought of having to continue to support her weight. But she wasn't just about to give up! She was stronger than that! Howling, she launched herself forward in another Tackle attack, this time firmly aimed for the Pokemon. She wasn't about to make the mistake of attacking the sparking cheating human again, even if he rather did deserve a good bite or two to teach him a thing or two!

”Well you certainly are proof of the old saying. ‘Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.’ You might just be worth keeping after all,” said Brian as he watched the Electrike get slammed by Dionysus’s tail. Pulling out a Poke ball, Brian waited for the Pokemon to fall before him, so he could claim the prize that his Pokemon had earned for him. After all, an Electric Pokemon would balance out the team that he had assembled to instill chaos as the white haired one was growing annoyed with all of the birds that he had to deal with.
Meanwhile, Dionysus was thinking it might smart to keep his distance for the moment as the battle was taking its toll on him, but he was not going to get the opportunity to get to a position where he would be able fight a long range battle. No, his opponent was already up on her feet and coming at him, but he knew that if wasted his energy moving then it was likely that his body would lock up from the paralysis when he tried. Instead, he stood there and let himself be tackled, and he was knocked backward across the hallway.
As he righted himself, the Treecko’s body began to shiver as if he had frozen up from the paralysis, but it was just a ploy to lower his opponent’s guard. After a few moments of feigning, Dionysus brought his hands up and fired beams of red light at the Electrike so he could regain his strength. After all, this was only the start of their training, so he needed to be well rested for his next bout.

WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike felt a sharp surge of satisfaction as she managed to send the Treecko flying back with her attack, even though the impact was enough to make her whole body shiver a little simply from the amount of energy it took to be able to force herself to slam herself into the other Pokemon's body. She panted hard, her ankles shaking with the strain, but she managed to keep to her paws, a feat that had her rather pleased with herself. She began to gather herself up again so that she could launch another attack, taking advantage of the status problem she had inflicted upon her opponent when suddenly, she didn't have any more time. She was smacked with the full force of the attack, feeling it sap the last of her energy from her. She registered her legs giving out, sending her crumpling to the floor, as if it was all happening to someone else, and for a few moments, she tried to stir, rise to her feet again, but she was shaking too hard, and she only got halfway before her legs gave again, collapsing to the ground again with a sharp smack. She couldn't keep fighting against the black playing with the edges of her vision, and she found her eyes slipping shut as she drifted away from her body. She had failed.
THE WILD ELECTRIKE FAINTED AND CAN NOW BE CAUGHT! DIONYSUS GAINED TWO LEVELS FOR WINNING AND IS NOW LEVEL TEN!
WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Unaware || Normal || Level 9 Tackle || Growl || Defense CurlIt certainly was quite a beautiful day for a stroll if he had anything to say about it. The Bidoof strode confidently through the hallways of the electric plant, his step conveying as much grace and elegance as could be expected from such a "derpy" Pokemon. He was quite the refined gentleman if he did say so himself, and he was hardly going to let such things as the body he had the ill luck of possessing get in his way. He scrunched his nose up, feeling the metal of the eyeglass thing that he'd found on another one of his strolls through the abandoned human-place shift over his fur, but he liked the way it looked on him, making him look more dignified, so he kept it. His paws didn't make a lot of noise against the ground as he waddled, but that was okay since many of the Pokemon in these parts could be quite aggressive and he didn't particularly want to pick a fight, especially one that could possibly breat his precious glass. It would only look silly if he wore it and the circle was broken, and unfortunately, due to the amount of time that it had taken him to stumble across this first one. Though perhaps it might not take him as long if he went about the human-place while he was actively searching it out? That was a thought he carefully filed away to investigate another time, tucking it away in the cabinet to examine later, and he padded onward until he came to a stop. That sounded like... a battle. But this was the path he always trod upon when he went along on one of his walks. Habit warred with instinct as he debated the pros and cons of rounding the next corner before he firmed himself, coming to a decision. He was a gentleman, and as such, he was above such things like childish instinct and fancy. Holding his chin high, he strode around the corner without a second thought, dead set on continuing along on his sedentary walk regardless of whatever he might encounter on the other side of the corner.

As the battle came to an end, Brian watched as the Electrike was struck with the red beams and then fell to the ground, while Dionysus stumbled over to where Brian stood. ”Treecko. Tree,” I knew it would be easy. Of course, he went into the sitting position as soon as he spoke as the battle had been quite exhausting, but fortunately he was the victor so he would have a moment’s reprieve until the next time he got ordered to battle a Pokémon. Knowing Vulcan’s luck, it wouldn’t be long before he had to go into battle once more.
With nothing else to do, Brian tossed the Poke ball at the unconscious Pokémon, and soon it was pulled into the ball. Now all he had to do was to wait for the moving ball to make the dinging noise like the microwave so that he knew that the will of another Pokémon was under his control. ”Excellent job, Dionysus. I am sure that once this one is under our control that she will be a great force for the Chaos. Oh yes, she will definitely be a Nemesis to all who oppose the power of an agent of Chaos.”
Meanwhile, Vulcan had gotten up from where he laid and began to walk down the hall that they had been traveling down as it was his turn to find someone to fight, and if it didn’t last long then he would just find another opponent to do battle with. Rounding the corner, the Magmar walked into a bucktooth furball, and he immediately released a stream of fire at the Pokémon. In his mind, this was barely even a warm up, but a fight was still a fight so he would make do until something better came along. Vulcan just hoped that the Bidoof would hold out until something arrived.
