WILD ELECTRIKE APPEARED! [/style] Electrike || Female || Minus || Electric || Level 7 Tackle || Thunder WaveThe Electrike was lying there limply on the ground, her little body devoid of feeling, and perhaps it was for the better that she was completely unconscious when the Pokeball came her way, opening up and tugging her up inside it in a flash of bright white light before it landed on the floor.
Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ Twitch Twitch~ DING! The shaking of the Pokeball might have been a tad stronger than usual for a fainted Pokemon, but that was just a sign of the fighting spirit of the Electrike it contained. The poor Pokemon no doubt would be rather upset with the change in her life, and with any luck, she wouldn't cause too much trouble while she adapted to her newly "enslaved" status.
WILD ELECTRIKE HAS BEEN CAUGHT!
WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Unaware || Normal || Level 9 Tackle || Growl || Defense CurlThe Bidoof let out a sharp yelp when he felt the flames licking at his fur, the elegant Pokemon quickly dropping to the ground to roll about, putting out the flames on his pelt. It had rather hurt, and he winced at the feeling of the dirt scraping over his raw skin, but he got back to his feet, shaking himself to try to get out as many of the stones as he could. "Bidoof bid bid bidoof' he stated rather pleasantly, figuring that the Magmar that had been the source of the fire had merely thought him one of the more barbarous creatures that liked to attack first and ask questions later. My apologies, good sir, but there is no need for you to launch such attacks at my person as I mean you no harm. He found such a thing entirely too uncultured for a gentleman of his stature, so he refused to fight unless he had to. Fighting was such an old-fashioned practice of a more uncivilized time, entirely unsuited to a cultured Pokemon as himself. He then gave a courtly bow to the Magmar and began to pad away again, wanting to get back to his home despite the fact that it was where he had just come from, but he needed to get to where he could clean the dirt from his wounds and then bandage it up. Couldn't have such a thing get infected, after all.

The dinging noise informed Brian that the Electrike was his to do with what he wanted, so he picked up the Poke ball and placed it in his pocket. It was at that moment that he noticed that Vulcan was no longer with them, so he figured that he should see where the Magmar had gotten to. ”Well Dionysus, let’s go find our fiery associate,” said he as he started to walk away. It was then that he saw the Treecko’s body spark like it had during the battle, and he figured that he should do something about it. After all, a half-moving Pokemon was not going to be of much use to him, so he pulled out a special bottle and sprayed the Grass Pokemon with it. A second later, the sparking ceased.
Dionysus wasn’t really sure what to think about his trainer’s act of kindness, so he decided not to dwell on it. It was probably a momentary thing that wouldn’t happen again if the white haired trainer could help it. Walking ahead of Brian, the Treecko was able to find the Magmar with no problem, but really who couldn’t find something that was spewing fire from its very mouth? ”Treecko. Tree. Treecko.” Looks like he found a playmate. This was said as Brian came up behind the small gecko.
Meanwhile, Vulcan was basking in the flame that he had produced while the Bidoof did a funny jig on the ground, which was hilarious to witness. Of course, it wasn’t as hilarious as the way the furball spoke, but the Magmar was annoyed that the Bidoof thought that he could leave. ”Magmar. Mag. Magmar. Mag.” Too bad for you that I do mean you harm. A moment later, Vulcan let loose a cloud of toxic gas from his mouth, and he figured the bucktooth rodent would have trouble navigating the Smog in the hallway.

WILD BIDOOF APPEARED! [/style] Bidoof || Male || Unaware || Normal || Level 9 Tackle || Growl || Defense CurlThe Bidoof's skin was twitching every now and again, the newly bald spots created by the flames having turned an angry red, and he already knew that he wasn't in a good position to try to do a whole lot more than just waddle back to his home and try to heal himself back up. Maybe pour some Oran or Sitrus Berry juice over to injuries to make them feel better and encourage them to heal. Unfortunately for him, while he was preoccupied with the thoughts of how he was going to cater to his wounds, he didn't realize that the other Pokemon was in every way like those barbarians he so despised until it was too late, and eyes widening, he tried to run, but he wasn't good enough. He had been expecting more fire to lick at his skin, not dark purple smoke coming from the Fire-type and filling the hallway, and it didn't take long for him to begin coughing, body curled up on the ground and eyes watering as his small form was wracked with immense pain from the poisonous gas aggravating the wounds on his back. He tried to maintain his composure, a trembling paw reaching out to try to drag himself away, but he just didn't have the strength, and he ended up losing consciousness before he knew it, unable to take any more pain and suffering.
THE WILD BIDOOF FAINTED AND CAN NOW BE CAUGHT! VULCAN GAINED TWO LEVELS FOR WINNING AND IS NOW LEVEL TEN!
WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowIf the Makuhita was shocked by anything he had ever seen, it would have had to have been the callous way that the poor Bidoof had just been handled. The Normal-type had just been walking around, minding his own business, when wham, out of nowhere, that Magmar had just covered him in flames. And then, after the poor thing had even admitted that it was not in the least bit a threat, came the heartbreaker: the Magmar hadn't even cared and had decided to blast the poor thing anyway with a bunch of noxious fog. Tears pricked at the Fighting-Type's eyes as he tried to resist the urge to run to try to take care of the poor thing - humans were notorious among these parts for doing things to faint Bidoofs and then not even thinking twice about leaving the poor things hurt, unconscious, and hovering between life and death - but he knew that if he did, he would get attacked too. But he couldn't help it. It was hard-wired into his nature to do the right thing, so as soon as the smoke started to clear out, he ran forward to the other Pokemon's side, gently scooping the Normal-Type up into his arms and then carrying him to the side so that he would be safe and able to breathe clean air rather than the dirty, polluted stuff that still swirled around him. The Fighting-Type winced softly at the sight of the angry red wounds, glaring over his shoulder at the Pokemon and the human responsible. "Maku hi hi hi hi hito, makuhito hito hito!" he scolded, putting his hands on his hips. You should be ashamed of yourselves, hurting an innocent like that! Ugh, he just hated people like this! Why couldn't everyone just get along without violence?!? Was that just too much to ask!?!

Vulcan was slightly irritated by how the Bidoof had been so easily defeated, and to show it he let a stream of fire spew against the ceiling. Why was it that Dionysus got all of the difficult fights and he got the boring ones? It was like the little gecko was the favored son while he got the scraps, and it was really starting to tick him off. Staring at the passed out rodent, the Magmar debated going over and kicking the wimp while he was down, but even that small amount of energy would be wasted on such a weak Pokemon.
Of course, his mind didn’t have to focus on this for long as there was this whiny sound, and when he looked Vulcan saw the oversized Pokemon trying to reprimand him for his actions. ”Magmar. Mag. Magmar. Magmar Mag Magmar Mag!.” I fight to get stronger. If you don’t like it, then burn! As soon as he was done speaking, Vulcan unleashed a spray of Embers at the condescending bruiser, and he hoped that the Makuhita continued the fight because he wanted to burn his name into the oversized belly of the creature. Although, he did debate whether it would be funnier to write ‘Vulcan was here’ on the fighting Pokemon’s behind.
Brian and Dionysus weren’t completely sure what was going on, but the former found it to be mildly entertaining while the latter wanted to take a nap. It really seemed like they were needed there, so the Treecko didn’t want to just sit around and watch another battle unfold. No, he wanted to find another opponent that he could drain of energy to restore him to his former strength, but he knew that Brian enjoyed watching the battles even if he didn’t show it all the time. ”Treecko Tree.” Guess I’ll wait.

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita couldn't say that he hadn't seen it coming. He knew as soon as the Fire-type opened its mouth that the other Pokemon was going to attack him, so he didn't think twice before he was already moving, managing to dart away from the stinging spray of small burning coals that the Fire-type sent his way, even pausing to drag the fainted Bidoof out of the way so that the Normal-type wouldn't end up hurt any worse than the poor thing already was. He was already planning on trying to find somewhere to take the fainted Pokemon so that someone would be able to heal him up, but of course, that was assuming he made it out of this mess scott-free. He puffed himself up as he landed, again gently setting the Bidoof down on the ground behind him, pausing to gently pat the Normal-type on the head with one hand so that, if the other was still vaguely aware of his body in his current state of unconsciousness, he'd know that he had a friend ready to fight for his sake. Turning back to the Magmar, he glared at the large Fire-type, sizing it up and down before he then started gathering himself up. As soon as he was ready, he sprang forward at the other Pokemon, arms coming up with his palms out in preparation for an Arm Thrust attack. Hopefully by bringing the fight to himself, he would keep the fainted Bidoof behind him from getting hurt any further. Hopefully.

It was a strange thing to see the Makuhita pull an unconscious Pokemon to safety, and the trio that opposed the fighting type didn’t know what to make of it other than calling it a sign of weakness. Out of the three, Brian only had one thing to say about such an event, and it was quite unexpected by Vulcan and Dionysus. ”That is an impressive combination of speed and strength if I ever saw one,” said the white haired man as a devious look appeared on his face.
Well, Vulcan didn’t find it impressive. He found it to be quite annoying as it meant that he missed his target, and to make matters worse the Makuhita was coming at him with his hands. Now, the Magmar knew that he could dodge it, but that might just lead to a game of hopscotch. Standing there, Vulcan took the Arm Thrust attack head on, and while his entire body hurt from the attack he was still able to unleash his Smog on the oversized opponent.
”Treecko. Tree. Tree. Treecko.” Will you just heat things up already? Dionysus was growing rather impatient with this whole ordeal as it was cutting into his own workout, and now that he wasn’t paralyzed the Treecko wanted to mix it up again. Of course, he wanted a fair fight instead of all the difficult ones that he had been dealing with, but even if he had to fight another bird Dionysus vowed to bash the squawking featherbag into the ground.

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita could tell that none of the three had expected him to pause to show consideration to the fallen Bidoof, and that fact made him want to puff up and smack them all the harder for it. How dare they think that one life was in any way superior to another? The little Fighting-type's blood boiled at the very notion of it, so when he managed to make impact on the Fire-type with his attack, he was unable to keep a slightly triumphant grin from his face. What he hadn't seen coming, however, was that the consequence of his action was the very same one that had ended up dooming the poor Bidoof as the poor Makuhita was engulfed in a cloud of noxious fumes that left him coughing as he stumbled backwards a few steps. His eyes were watering and his lungs aching from the abuse, but he was lucky enough that it didn't seem to have left any lasting damage as soon as he happened to catch a mouthful of clean air, and as soon as he did, he looked up and found the reddish-yellow blur that was the Magmar beneath the curtain of water. Blinking away as much of the residential tears as he could - anyone would be crying after taking a facefull of that smoke, so it wasn't a sign of weakness on his part - he let out another battle cry and leapt forward again, arms out for another Arm Thrust attack to try to show that Magmar that it was not okay to pick on Pokemon weaker than yourself.

The fighting Pokémon was grinding Vulcan’s nerves with all the acts of helping the fallen and not focusing on the fight, which is why the bulky behemoth was caught in the smog that had been produced. Alas, the Magmar was tired of fighting a battle against an opponent who wasn’t giving it there all, so he was going end right there. Of course, he needed to wait for the smog to disperse to get a clean shot at his enemy in this moment, but it seemed that there was some fight left in the Makuhita after all as the Magmar was shoved back rather violently.
”Magmar. Mag.”Enough of this. As soon as his words were said, Vulcan let loose a stream of fire toward the oversized buffoon, and he hoped that he roasted the fighting Pokémon’s rump into non-existence. Unfortunately, Brian had other plans for the strong Pokémon as he had a need for some serious muscle in the days to come, so he already had a Poke ball ready for when the Makuhita showed any weakness in his stance. It was definitely turning into a fortunate day of acquisitions, and he would have to make a note of this location for future training endeavors.
Meanwhile, Dionysus had grown bored of what was going on, so he turned and walked back the way he had come from. He was sure that their luck would grant him a new opponent to fight while Vulcan was cleaning up the mess that he started.

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita was proud of the fact that he had managed to land another hit on his opponent, feeling that he was finally beginning to make a good run at getting revenge for the poor fainted Bidoof. He wasn't usually a violent individual, but after what had happened to the poor Normal-type, he felt that he was at least a tad justified in taking some form of pleasure in feeling the Fire-type's flesh give under his palms. He felt a surge of pride welling in him, and he started forward again hoping to push the other Pokemon further back still to make sure that the fainted Bidoof wasn't further injured, but that was a mistake. He was immediately striding into a stream of fire, and he coughed and yelped, quickly backing away with some painful injuries to show for his trouble. But he wasn't ready to back down, not yet. He had gotten only a glancing part of the flames that had come out, and he was proud of the fact that he had been lucky enough to ensure the Bidoof's body wasn't hurt any further. "Maku hi hi maku hi," the small Fighting-type murmured, hands clenching into fists as he glared daggers at his opponent. You've done it now. The little Fighting-type puffed himself up again, stoking his inner fury and making sure that he was focused, centered in the roiling sea of emotions, before he began to run forward again, arms flying out in one more Arm Thrust to try to teach this opponent once and for all that kindness and consideration could repay someone more than selfishness and greed ever could.

"Magmar mag magmar." Not getting me again His words were immediately followed with him leaping backward to avoid another painful hit. Since the smog had dissipated, there was nothing that kept him from seeing the incoming hit and avoiding it, but his body was still in pain from the first one. This meant that he had to keep his distance if he was going to survive the fight, and it was pretty lucky that all of his offensive attacks were ranged. In fact, this particular attack would be very familiar to the Makuhita as Vulcan had already done it once, so he didn't bother tossing out some witty banter before unleashing the wave of Embers at his opponent.
Brian let out a sigh as the fight continued as this was growing dull to see. Sure, he wanted the fighting Pokemon for the brute force factor, but Vulcan was dragging this out by using his weaker attacks instead of bombarding the other Pokemon with his Flamethrower. "We do not have all day for you to torture this one, so hurry it up or Dionysus is going to take over. Is that clear?" Of course, the white haired gentleman had not realized that his Treecko had gone wandering to find his own fight to keep himself occupied, but it would become obvious once the battle was over. It seemed that none of his Pokemon wanted to stick around to watch one another get stronger.

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita huffed as his attack was dodged, arms quickly flailing so that he didn't lose his balance from over-compensating for his momentum. Really, announcing your every attack was downright stupidity, and that was why he knew to start putting a stop to his forward movement if he was to avoid faceplanting into the floor rather comically. After all, this was a fight he was determined to hammer into the other Pokemon. And it looked like luck was on his side as he saw the attack thrown his way and leaped out of the way, darting to the side in a barrel roll that he popped out of quickly. He knew that he wasn't going to let this one slide by, so he would have to get a little more creative about his attacks. He was already close to the ground, but he found his hands fisting in the dirt at his feet as he pushed himself to his feet. He knew it was low, and he should be above that, but he needed a moment to regroup, something he wasn't going to get unless he resorted to drastic measures. Gathering himself up, he started running towards the Magmar, but rather than bring his arms up like he had the times before, he skidded to a stop suddenly and threw the dirt that he had collected right towards the face of his opponent in a fierce Sand Attack that he hoped would be enough to buy him some time to throw another attack and gain an advantage to help him end the battle quicker. He had to teach the Magmar - and the Fire-type's Trainer - a lesson in morality that they wouldn't soon forget.

Vulcan was greatly angered by the fact that his attack had been avoided, and to make matters worse Mister Tubby had thrown sand in his face. The Magmar immediately began wiping at his eyes in irritation, and when he opened his eyes his vision was slightly obscured by the sand. Well, two could play at that twisted game, so Vulcan spewed out a black cloud of smoke to fill the hallway. He was going to love to see how the brawling brute was going to hit him in this Smokescreen, but just to be safe the fiery Pokemon scooted to the left of where he had been standing.
Seeing that the battle might go on for a little while longer, Brian sat down and leaned back against a wall, and then he closed his eyes. He assumed that Vulcan would wake him up when the battle was over so that the Makuhita could be added to his growing collection of powerhouse Pokemon. After all, his Pokemon knew that he only wanted the strongest of Pokemon to assist with the bringing of chaos. "With the Pokemon I gather, I will insure that this world belongs to the chaos, and it is only a matter of time now." After the Makuhita, he only needed one more to complete his team.
At the same time, Dionysus had been wandering along the halls until he found a locked door, so he began to pound on it with his tail. It wasn't like he wanted inside the room or anything. It was just something to do until the others caught up with him, but it was growing boring quickly.

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita thought he would have felt a vague stirring of satisfaction at having taken such a bold step towards incapacitating his opponent, but the truth of the matter was that he only felt shame stirring in his gut. If he was going to teach the other Pokemon to fight fair, how was he supposed to expect that when he didn't even fight fairly himself? It was disgraceful behavior, a low that he had never before sunk to, and the disgust he felt for himself was strong enough to make him vow that he would never again do such a thing as blind an opponent again, even on the command of a Trainer. It was a low and dirty trick, and he was absolutely horrified with himself that he would ever sink so low, and over a single battle no less. He was so busy berating himself that he didn't even realize that he was surrounded by smoke until he started coughing, his eyes watering as he tried to get enough oxygen into his lungs. His blood boiled at the low-down dirty trick, and he immediately felt himself get riled up again. Puffing himself out with his fury, feeling it feeding him on, he strained his senses in search of the Fire-type he had been fighting. He heard a soft shuffling noise akin to that of claws against rock, and letting out another battle cry, he leapt in for the attack, his palms out and flat for an Arm Thrust in the direction that he desperately hoped was the right one. It would be rather embarrassing if, when he came out of the smoke, he was on the completely wrong side. Even worse, he would be presenting his back to his opponent - and that was one thing he didn't want to do to this one. Obviously the Fire-type thought nothing of hitting below the belt, so throwing an attack at his back... no doubt a possibility. He had to place his faith in his luck, that he had followed his ears correctly rather than that he had been mistaken and gotten himself hurt for the miscalculation.

There were many things that Vulcan thought would have happened in the last few seconds that didn’t happen. For starters, he thought the irritation in his eyes would have stopped, but it hadn’t. Then he thought that the Makuhita would have popped out where he had been standing before, but instead the fighting Pokemon’s palm slammed into his side which sent him skidding across the floor. The final thing that he had thought would happen was that the fight would have been over by now which it wasn’t, but he was about to make sure that it wasn’t going to go much farther. ”Mag, Magmar.” No more games. Turning to face his enemy, the Magmar unleashed a flamethrower at the Makuhita.
Meanwhile, Brian was having pleasant time thinking about how he was going to use the Makuhita’s great strength to cause some chaos throughout the city, and he was so overjoyed that he opened his eyes to note that one his Magmar was still fighting against a Pokemon that he had been expected to have beaten by now and that his Treecko was no where to be seen. ”It seems that I am going to have a stern talk with those two about what is expected of them,” he commented to himself. Of course, his version of a stern talking to was not something that anyone of his Pokemon were going to appreciate in the slightest, but he had to make sure that they understood that their jobs required them to be exceptionally quick.
In the background, one could still hear the continuous sound of Dionysus beating against the door, but it still wasn’t giving way which made the Treecko want to just forget about it. After all, what good was a door that wouldn’t open?

WILD MAKUHITA APPEARED! [/style] Makuhita || Male || Thick Fat || Fighting || Level 10 Tackle || Focus Energy || Sand-Attack || Arm Thrust || Vital ThrowThe Makuhita was proud that he'd managed to cause so much damage to the other Pokemon, but unfortunately for him, he didn't have very long to enjoy the fact that he hadn't leapt out of the large cloud of smoke on the entirely wrong side and even managed to make his attack connect with the other Pokemon. It only took a matter of moments for things to change, and before he could react to the Fire-type's statement, there was suddenly fire all around him. He let out a yell, trying not to share the fate of the Bidoof that he'd originally got involved in the fight for, but it was too late. He was unable to escape the flames licking at his flesh, and when they finally let up, the agony at his burned flesh hitting the air made him groan and fall to his knees. "Maku," he gasped, only having remained conscious this long through sheer willpower, though once the dirt got into the open injuries, he found his head absolutely swimming from the pain elicited as a result. He let out a groan and felt his eyes sliding shut as he fell face-first onto the ground. He had failed to show the Magmar and its Trainer the value of honor and integrity, but he had fought his hardest, and there was nothing more he could ask of himself than that.

WILD SLAKOTH APPEARED! [/style] Slakoth || Female || Truant || Normal || Level 9 Scratch || Yawn || EncoreThe Slakoth yawned as she rolled over in her small bed up on a metal grill, where she'd made her home and settled down to sleep. She rather liked staying there, warmed by the heat of the turbines used to create the electricity back in the working parts of the power plant, and it was an easy thing for her to fall asleep there. The other Pokemon rarely bothered her, hardly seeing her as a threat when she was so slow and sweet. Many of the others would even occasionally bring her food since it was well known among the local residents who hung around close by that, should she have food, she wouldn't mind sharing it with someone else. Her sleeping place was quiet, comfortable, out of reach of most sources of potential danger, so often mothers would leave eggs or young Pokemon with her to take care of while they gathered food or napped to take a break from the constant action of small children. Right now, however, the Normal-type was without any extra additions, so she was looking forward to a good long nap. It was, alas, not to be since there was a loud amount of banging, stirring her from her slumber. Her eyes blinked open, and she rubbed at them with the blunt sides of her claws. "Sla slakoth sla?" she mumbled sleepily, peering around with drowsy eyes. Where's the fire? She looked around and then swung down, hanging from the grill from her claws as she looked around for the source of what was disturbing her rest. Didn't that person know that she was sleeping? This was her area and she could've had babies with her. Though... she was so sleepy that she didn't want to go looking around much more. Maybe she could just climb back up into her little nest and go back to sleep...
