"I guess this is where we shall find another minion of chaos," Brian said to his Pokémon. When he had woken up this morning, there had been an urge in the back of his mind to visit this location, and seeing how it was not really an ideal place to cause some trouble Brian assumed there was an ally out there. Now all he had to do was find it, bend it to his will and use its power against the realm of order.
Dionysus was leaning against his leg, while awaiting further instructions on his part his this little exercise. It seemed to him that there wasn't much good that he was going to do here if there weren't any Pokémon to fight or things to break. "Treecko, Tree." I don't get why you didn't leave me in the ball until something showed up He had really wanted to take a longer nap, but now he was stuck outside while waiting for some dumb Pokémon to show up.
Even Brian could sense his Pokémon's annoyance, and it was beginning to make him annoyed. He figured it was time for him to do something about it. "Come out, spawn of Chaos. Come out and fulfill your destiny." Any true agent of chaos would energetically pop his or her head out of his or her hidey hole and join his army. Now all they had to do was wait for them to show themselves.

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory was napping in his nest quietly, his head tucked up under his wing as he ignored the cries of the young Pidgeys and other birds around him, though they knew to stay away from him. He'd clawed at their faces enough times with his razor-sharp claws for them to know not to mess with him. He spent more than a few hours of every day sharpening his claws against some random metal objects left behind by the humans, making sure that they were tough enough to slice right though tree branches that were as thick as his beak as if they were made of that soft putty the humans used to hold things together on their nest-places. Caulking? He didn't know what the word was they used, nor did he really care. The point was that he could claw through it like it was nothing, his claws finely honed so that the slightest nick could break through skin and dive into flesh and perhaps even bone if he put more pressure on it. He had never tested it before because, in spite of the trouble he went to in order to hone his claws and the anger and violence of how he would react to his fellow Pokemon, he actually had no desire to cause true harm to anyone. He was deep in his dreams when he heard a voice stir him, and he slowly lifted his head out from underneath his wing, his eyes blinking in protest to the exposure of light again as he began to adjust to the brightness of the day. He turned his sharp eyes out of the large dead tree he had taken as his nest, picking out the human and the Pokemon there, and immediately he let out a war cry. He had been trying to sleep, and that stupid human had had the gall to wake him up? How dare he! He let out a war cry and flapped his wings, diving out from his nest and towards the human with talons bared. He wasn't about to let his nap go unavenged!

For a moment, Brian thought that he had been ignored by the Pokémon of the area, but that moment passed quickly when a metal bird came diving down at them. Naturally, he only had one thing to say about such a Pokémon. "This one will suit my plans nicely," he said as he dove for the dirt. Unfortunately for him, Dionysus was at a disadvantage given that Skarmory was a Flying type, so they were going to have to be smart about how they combatted this challenge. "Well Dionysus, I think it would be best to get somewhere that you can properly Leer that bird down."
The Treecko understood what the white haired one was saying, so he ran towards the dead tree that the Skarmory had come from and began to climb. "Treecko. Tree. Treecko. Tree." I have a feeling we should have just talked to the dumb bird, but I don't think that Brian would have liked that idea very much. Oh well. he muttered as he got up to a high branch. He then began waving his arms to get the bird's attention, and when it looked like it might have worked the Treecko's eyes glowed blue as he Leered at the metal bird.
Now, Brian just needed to wait for the Skarmory to become vulnerable enough for Dionysus's Pound to be effective, but that could take a few tries if he understood Steel-types. Well, it wasn't like he had anything better to do with his time, so they might as well get in a good workout. "Maybe if we are lucky, then Dionysus might learn a useful attack that I can utilize during the next scheme, or maybe they will attract something stronger than an angry metal bird." The possibilities were virtually endless in his mind, but first they needed to win.

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory let out an angry screech as his claws closed inches from that mess of white hair, having to adjust his wings so that he could slowly bank around. There were a lot of thermals in the area, the updrafts battering at his plumage as he fought to keep them steady against the powerful winds, his course redirecting itself as he was blown upwards towards the heavens, though that would serve his purposes well. It meant any of his attacks that he threw would have more momentum behind them as he was able to put all his force behind it plus whatever else he might be able to generate from the height he came from. His wings flapped a couple times, generating powerful drafts as he had to let out the wind that was building up explosively beneath his feathers, pushing him higher and higher when he didn't want to go back up, not when he knew there wasn't any chance of retaliation from below, and even if there was, he was high enough now to be in no danger. Eventually, he managed to bank all the way around, fully intending on making another pass at the human - he wasn't the type to give up quite so easily! - when he suddenly noticed movement up by his nest. What was something doing by his nest? He let out another war cry, shifting to try to make a dive for the source of that movement, a Treecko, when suddenly, his wings faltered, the dual type taking the full brunt of the glare that left him feeling weaker for a moment before he shook himself. It wasn't his place to falter, especially when his home was threatened! He screeched loudly, shooting through the air towards the Treecko like he was an arrow fired from a bow, his beak cutting through the draft as he barreled forward in a Peck attack to defend his nest.

It definitely seemed that the Skarmory had noticed that Dionysus was in his tree as it had changed course for him, which showed that it wasn't a dumb Pokémon. Of course, Brian still needed to see how it took a hit, so Treecko was going to have to do something a little drastic. "Continue to Leer at him and then Pound him into the ground. I really think that this one could be of some use with all that raw power he has in those wings," he shouted to the Grass Pokémon in the tree.
"Treecko. Treecko. Tree." Of course you know this means I'm about to get hit by a move that I am weak against. The Treecko's eyes glowed blue again as he went back to Leering at the Steel bird, and then he felt the beak hit him like a spear. If not for the fact that his body seemed to turn at this point, then Dionysus would not have been able to put any force behind his tail as he attempted to use it like a baseball bat and knock the Skarmory out of the 'park'. Naturally, the Treecko knew that he couldn't take another hit like that one if he were going to do any real damage to the dumb bird.
Brian merely smiled at the exchange of hits as he was about to learn two things from it. One, how well his Treecko could deliver a hit after taking a serious injury, and two, how well could the Skarmory take a hit to its side. Either way it went, he figured that he would be very pleased with the results, so he pulled out one of the empty Poke Balls that he had and began waiting for the right opportunity to capture the metal bird. "And then we can move on to the next minion for the army of chaos."

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory almost faltered again when glowing blue orbs found him, his wings flinching and causing a good bit of the cushion of air that was propelling him forward through the sky like an arrow from a bow, his beak spiralling through it easily, though the flinch had him slowing at perhaps one of the worst times, causing him to make the impact far less that it perhaps should have been when he finally made contact with the Grass-type, his beak driving into the Pokemon for the dual type to bask in the feeling of accomplishment. Or at least, he managed to enjoy it for a few moments before suddenly there was a good smack to his side, the sound making a good "wumph" noise when it made contact and managing to knock him back a few yards before he brought his wings up and managed to right himself again. He felt a small sore spot in his side, but nothing major, something he could easily work around and fight back with. Letting out a screech, he winged his way up higher again, the powerful flaps of his wings causing their fair share of gusts before he settled himself in again up high, taking a moment to examine the scene with a critical eye, wanting a better perspective before he dove down again to try to defend his nest and get his revenge for his ruined sleep.

It seemed that the metal bird was very strong indeed as it was already raring to go again, but Brian saw this fight to be going south for his Pokémon. There was only one alternative, which was to convince the metal bird to join him willingly with some sort of promise. "Dionysus, come over here. We are switching to plan B."
The Treecko was a fan of plan B as it meant that the white haired one was going to bribe the bird into doing what he wanted, which worked for him. "Tree. Treecko. Tree." About time. That freak almost tore me in half with that beak of his. He definitely wasn't a happy camper about nearly dying for some dumb metal bird, but at least that part was hopefully over. Dionysus quickly moved over to where Brian was and waited for the real show to begin.
"Hey you up there. Why don't you come down here so that we can have a little chat. I've got a proposition for you that will give you everything that you've ever wanted," he yelled up to the Skarmory as if he were selling a time share to an idiot. If this worked, then he would use this tactic more often than he used Dionysus's battle skills to obtain minions for his cause.

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory was starting to get pissed again as he remained aloft in the air, seeing the Treecko in his tree and the human on the ground as if there wasn't a care in the world despite having interrupted his rest. He let out a loud screech, unable to take such an insult, but when he began to dive down again in another attack, he found himself having to pull up in confusion, letting out a quiet screech. The Treecko was... leaving his tree? What was this? He'd been fully prepared to carry out the fight until he'd taken care of the threat to his nest, ready to scrap with this Pokemon until he had handled the problem and could go back to his day in peace, or at least, to be able to harass that stupid human who had interrupted his nap and then be able to continue with his life. But this retreat? What was the meaning of it? He found himself settling suspiciously on his nest, glaring at the human for a moment as he settled himself, wings tucking up against his side. He was expecting some kind of dirty trick at any moment now, but when he heard the human's yell, he found himself bristling up. How dare that stupid human think that he had anything even remotely interesting to him? Screeching a firm denial, he swung his head to the side and ripped off a large branch from a nearby limb, the weight of it being rather impressing as he hefted it in his beak before he hurled it at the human's head. Petty? Yes. Childish? Undoubtedly so. But he had to do something to express his feelings on the matter, and he refused to leave his nest unguarded again to do it.

Step one had gone off without too many problems, but he could have done without the branch being thrown at him. Luckily, Dionysus was able to climb up Brian's body and use Pound to deflect the attack on his person, but he didn't try to counterattack. Brian was trying to gain the Skarmory's trust and then force it to do whatever he wanted the metal bird to do, and the Treecko thought that he was nuts for doing so. Of course, he was still going to follow the order given to him. "Treecko. Tree. Treecko." I would here him out before I actually try to hurt you.
"Now Skarmory, wouldn't you rather live in a place that wasn't so dead? Wouldn't you rather have good food that was freshly prepared instead of whatever you can find out here? What if I told you that by coming with me you would gain your heart's desires with little effort?" He was probably laying it on a little thick, but it was better safe than sorry at this point. What did he have to lose from telling a false truth to such a Pokémon? In his mind, nothing as it would only mean that he would have to break the Pokémon's spirit a little at a time until it obeyed without question.
Dionysus wondered whether this bird would fall for the trap or instead lash out against them like it had done already, and even though it would mean more pain for him the Treecko would have preferred knocking out the metal bird. At least then he would have felt a little more satisfied instead of like a battle dummy. "Treecko. Treecko." Or we could finish our fight.

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory huffed, his feathers fluttering up with the light screeching sound of metal on metal when he saw that the branch he'd thrown had been deflected by the Treecko, a traitorous move in his opinion on the part of the Pokemon, but he wasn't going to do anything about it, having at least accepted the fact that several Pokemon would ally themselves with filthy humans like this one, but just because he acknowledged the fact didn't mean that he approved of it. He snorted at the Treecko's words, his blade-like tail flicking up in an obvious insult and dismissal before he blinked at the human's words. Was he intrigued by the possibility of having his food served to him on a silver platter by the filthy humans? Maybe a little. But he wasn't about to make himself a slave to this human like that. He was very much aware of the type of human that this one was, and he knew that if he dared to place even an ounce of faith in the other, he would be repaid with more hurt and humiliation than he cared to endure in an entire year in the wild. And at the mention of the least subtle threat he'd ever had the misfortune of hearing in his life, he let out a loud cackling sound, amused by this. The Treecko actually thought he had a chance of winning? What a laugh! He could take far more blows like the one he had gotten on his side than the Grass-type could impacts with his sharp beak and claws, and they both knew it. So really, the fact that they were attempting to continue this charade any longer just amused him to no end, and as a result, he was laughing at them, at their stupidity and naivety and the very fact that they seemed to believe in the words they spoke in the first place. What a joke.

From where Dionysus was standing, it didn't look like things were going their way, so he figured that they should probably just cut their losses and send in the heavy guns to take the dumb bird out in one shot. "Treecko. Treecko. Tree." Of course, Brian doesn't want to use the Magmar unless things get really boring. [/i] The Treecko sort of muttered this to himself, but some of his words were loud enough so that the Skarmory could hear them and rethink his chance of winning this little battle. After all, metal birds did have a tendency to be afraid of getting burned up. "So you aren't interested in a life of luxury? Maybe you are interested in becoming one of the most powerful Pokemon in exsistence if not the most powerful," Brian said shortly after the Treecko's comment. He had no idea what Dionysus had said, but he assumed that it was something that would help to speed this little game along as this was probably going to be the Skarmory's last chance. "Of course, we can always force you to join us, and then your life will be an extremely hard one that will make your current existence seem like a vacation. So what's it going to be?"Brian lifted up a Poke ball and held it out for the bird to make his choice. Either way, the white haired man was not leaving without the fierce bird, and he was more than willing to use excessive force to make it bend to the will of the chaos. "Treecko. Tree. Treecko." If I were you, I would take this chance to get in the ball of your own accord. Choosing not to will cause things to seriously heat up if you know what I mean. The Treecko stared directly into the Skarmory's eyes to show the bird that he was completely serious, but after a few seconds Dionysus's eyes glowed blue as he began to Leer at the dumb bird. There was no sense in wasting this opportunity at weaking the bird's defenses.[/size][/blockquote]

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory's amusement immediately ended when the Treecko spoke, and the steel bird turned a sharp glare onto it, eyes narrowed mistrustfully. He hated fire types with a passion, and while he had tried to make himself tougher so that he wouldn't be such a pushover in regards to them, he still had quite a ways to go before he could manage to stand up to them on his own without taking massive damage at a single hit. He glared at the other Pokemon for a long moment before he screeched loudly, his wings flapping with the force of his anger. What a snake, promising him such blatant lies! What sort of intelligence level did the damn human think he was at? Obviously below average if the other was thick enough to believe he would fall for such a thing. Sure, he could be tough, but he wasn't stupid. He knew that he couldn't go up against any of the old legends - Giratina, Rayquaza, Lugia, Kyurem, or even the lesser powers like Moltres or Cobalion - and ever hope to win, not to mention that there were always stronger Pokemon out there. Still, he wasn't about to surrender his independence just because some human was going to boss him around, he had more pride than that. So with a loud screech, he flapped his wings, gliding down lazily, almost as if he was admitting defeat, but as soon as those eyes glinted blue, he let out a war cry and barreled forward, his beak cutting through the air in another attempted Peck attack as he made one last stand for his own independence and against the stupid presumptuous human who had dared to mess with him and refused to leave him alone.

It seemed that the Magmar comment had gotten under the Skarmory's metal skin, which was to the Treecko's pleasure. Unfortunately, his Leer attack had brought the fight back on, but he wasn't quite up to actually battling so he wasn't going to. Instead, Dionysus moved behind Brian and grabbed Vulcan's Poke ball. "Treecko. Treecko." Oh no, you can peck this guy. I'm taking a breather. He quickly shoved the ball into Brian's hand and waited for the inevitable outcome, but it would have been easier if the Skarmory had taken the easy route by giving up.
Brian could see there was no point in dragging this out any further, so he tossed the Poke ball into the air. "I guess you leave us no other choice. Vulcan, burn this bird into submission." He really disliked doing things this way, but at least his Magmar was going to be getting some exercise during this little adventure. It was always wise to make sure that Pokemon got to move around every day, but things could have gone a lot easier so that Vulcan could have saved his energy for something that was actually a threat to them. Well, all that he could do was wait with the Poke ball that would soon house the metal bird.
The ball opened, and a red and yellow Pokemon stood there. Of course, the Magmar had been unaware of the fact that his opponent was attacking, so the metal bird's beak hit him dead on. Alas, Vulcan was a fresh Pokemon in this fight who had a fiery temper, so once he had regained his wits from being attacked the Magmar launched a stream of fire at the Skarmory. "Magmar. Mag. Magmar." That will teach you to keep your big beak to yourself. Of course, he was more than willing to let loose another Flamethrower if the metal bird still wanted to fight.

WILD SKARMORY APPEARED! [/style] Skarmory || Male || Sturdy || Steel/Flying || Level 4 Leer || PeckThe Skarmory let out a triumphant screech as he spiraled closer. Finally he would get to teach those damn fuckers a lesson for messing with his territory! He could almost taste the sweet tang of victory when suddenly there was a bright flash of light, and something else was standing in his way. Eyes widening in alarm, the bird tried to halt his attack, but it was too late and his momentum drove him right into the Magmar, an attack that put him at risk from a powerful retribution. He screeched and tried to flap away out of range, but he wasn't quite fast enough, feeling flames lick at his body as he tossed his head to the side before being thrown, his wings flailing as he bounced once, twice, three times against the ground before sliding through the dirt, leaving a rather large skid mark before he finally lay still, unable to move. His body was weak, hurting all over, but he still stubbornly tried to lift himself up to fight before he fell down again with a screech of pain, panting hard as his vision swam. He had taken a lot of damage from that attack, and the very fact that he had held on this long was merely a sign of how strong he was mentally. Alas, however, he could not hold on for a moment longer, and with that, the he knew no more.

WILD ARCHEN APPEARED! [/style] Archen || Male || Defeatist || Rock/Flying || Level 7 Quick Attack || Leer || Wing Attack || Rock ThrowThe Archen was just flying through, trying to get to another nest with the rest of his flock. Sure, he'd admit it, he was a few days late, but it wasn't entirely his fault he'd overslept! He liked his sleep, and besides, it wasn't as if he didn't know where the nesting grounds were. He had every intention of just passing this area by like he had all the others, ignoring the humans and the other Pokemon who would wander about on the earth like little Durants beneath his feet, but then he saw the bright beacon of fire that lit up the ground. Squawking in alarm, he rolled about, trying to realign himself after the sudden buffeting thermal, and then he decided that he should maybe check this out. Tucking his wings to his body, he dove down, spreading them at the last second to land in a little flurry of feathers, settling down. "Archen?" he chirped in confusion, looking around before he saw the charred and smoking form of the Skarmory in the crater it had made, no doubt the victim of the bright flash of fire that he'd seen and then had to deal with the thermal from. "Ar Archen!" he cried, flapping over quickly to the other bird Pokemon and trying to protect him. He wasn't about to let them abuse that poor Skarmory again!

Brian watched as Vulcan's flame overwhelmed the Skarmory, and once he was sure that it was down the white-haired young man pulled out an empty Poke ball and tossed it at the downed bird. "This one shall be known as Stymph. With a few more like him, then our plans might be moved up a bit," he said as he looked at his two Pokemon. This was turning into a rather productive day for them, and that was when he heard the sounds of another. It was at this point that a devilish grin appeared on his face. [crimson]"It seems another minion has come to be collected," [/color] he said as he looked over at Dionysus. This bird was going to be the Grass Pokemon's chance at redeeming himself because failure had dangerous consequences. the Treecko saw the look and knew that he was going to be put through another battle against a bird, so he began to stretch himself so that he was nice and limber. "Treecko. Tree." Here we go again. He moved forward rather quickly so that he could catch the Archen unaware of what he was about to do, and once he was close Dionysus launched two red beams from his arms at the bird. If he was lucky, then both beams would hit and allow him to Absorb some of the wild Pokemon's energy to replace what he had already lost. Naturally, he was going to be cautious of getting hit by any more attacks as he didn't want a repeat of the last battle. Vulcan figured that it was his turn to take a break, so the Magmar decided to plop down on the ground and take a nap. He would wake up whenever it was his turn to do battle again.[/size][/blockquote]
