The sky was darkening, evening drawing to an end by the time the familiar, long unseen ramshackled house Erik called home drew in to vision. Next to his ankles, Cerberus gave an excited yip as he recognized their home, and his paces immediately perked up. The young Houndour was weary, tired from their long journey home. That much Erik knew at least, as the dark-haired boy glanced down at his companion and grinned, giving a jerk of his head.
Understanding his approval, Ceberus all but dashed to the structure, wanting the nice comfortable, albeit slightly tattered pillow he called his domain. Erik on the other hand, maintained his sedate pace, as he pulled out a new Pokeball from his waist, and examined it. Not that he wasn't excited to see Lydian, he was. But this new creature on his tam... let's just say the boy was thoroughly fascinated by it, it distracted him.
Tossing it in the air, the flash of light revealed an imposing yet gentle looking creature with flames blazing on its tail. Yet despite its large figure, the Kindlen stared at Erik with gentle eyes, nuzzling at the boy with his red eyes. "Hello there Sprite. Ready to see your new home?" he murmured, scratching the bottom of the lion-like creature's neck. Chuckling as he received a purr in reply, Erik tugged at his neck and proceeded to lead the way to the door, where Cerberus was already scratching at the door, whining to be let in.

Lydian was feeling rather lonely. Here he was, curled up in his bed right now as the day was drawing to a close, and he couldn't even muster up the energy to try to withdraw himself from the covers in order to fetch himself something from the kitchen to quiet his rumbling stomach. He didn't think he'd eaten anything all day now that he thought back on it, but he just shrugged and rolled over, burying himself a little deeper in his blankets. He just hadn't really been very hungry since Erik had left. Sure, he'd eat when Mikhail was around - the Furret Gijinka reminded him of Erik, a little, though he really just found the other a bit of a soothing presence, a part of the little pack that he had - but other than that, he'd usually just pick at a few berries or something when his stomach would growl to please Delphi. The red-tinted Absol obviously was worried about him, the large Dark-type often taking him food and trying to make him eat. Really, he just wanted to sleep for a little while. Mikhail had been around earlier, and while he enjoyed his time with the elder male, he was just in a mood where he missed Erik. There was a wriggling at his chest, and he absently brought a hand up to stroke a pair of fluffy ears, almost having forgotten that he'd allowed Ragnarok to crawl into bed with him. Right now, he was shirtless, having discarded it since he was here to try to sleep, and the only thing he had on was a pair of worn black flannel pants for some extra warmth, so he could keenly feel the Poochyena's soft fur where it would brush against his chest.
He looked up when the door creaked, a low growl of warning in his throat as his crimson eyes flickered to the form of his Absol. Was it too much to ask for him to be left alone to pine for Erik for a bit? Still, he knew better than to mess with Delphi when she wanted something, so he extracted himself from the blankets and padded out with a grumble, stalking downstairs with her leading him and Ragnarok's sleeping form still curled in his arms. He started towards the kitchen when she instead growled, blocking his way. "I thought you wanted me to eat, and how am I supposed to do that if you're in the way?" he growled, glaring at her stubbornly, but she didn't back down. Instead, his attention was diverted by Armageddon, the Houndour trotting over and tugging on his Trainer's hand, a surprisingly bold action for the usually obedient Fire-type. In fact, the action came so completely unexpected that the Houndoom Gijinka was actually tugged towards the door, his brow furrowing in confusion at the scratching against it and a familiar whine that he could have sworn he knew. No, it couldn't possibly be... He darted to the door and yanked it open, finding himself desperate to know if it was true, if Erik really had come back. He had to know.

He didn't know what to expect actually. He did tell Lydian he was going to leave for abit, but he never expected it to be so long. Would Lydian be angry at him? Worried? would he still want him around? Frankly, the idea that Lydian didn't want him around tugged at Erik, and made the smaller sized boy feel slightly anxious as he and Sprite approached the ramshackled house. What would he do if Lydian pushed him away? If the Houndoom gijinka had found someone new to replace his companionship? Still, Erik was a stubborn little boy, if a little determined. And no harm could come in trying right?
So he plodded determinedly on, occasionally petting Sprite soothingly as the fire type glanced carefully at his surroundings. Erik didn't blame him, since the abandoned sector is slightly intimidating and imposing to newcomers. But having stayed here with Lydian or so long, the boy found it nothing but comforting, like a sense of homecoming he's never felt anywhere else.
Picking Cerberus off the floor as his whines grew louder and louder, Erik shuhsed the puppy with a hand on his muzzle. "Oh hush Cerberus, what if they're slee-" he started scolding. His words were cut off however, when the door was suddenly yanked open, and Erik's large sapphire eyes twisted upwards to meet the familiar red eyes that never failed to give him a warm flicker in his chest. Lydian. It was only when he saw the taller male, did Erik finally admit to himself how much he actually missed the other's presence.
Cerberus wasted no time in jumping from Erik's lax hold and immediately dashed inside to gambol with the others, friends he hadn't seen in awhile. But Erik... he shuffled at the entrance, as if unsure of what to say. Biting his lip, the pint sized boy diverted his glance to the ground and murmured incoherently for a bit before going "Sorry I've been gone for so long Lydian."

Words;; 518 Tags;; Erik Winchester Eggs;; None Layout by Kuroya Notes;; Lydi is happy to have Erik back. Yes. Now he can carry him everywhere~ *shot so hard*
Lydian opened the door and immediately found himself drowning in beautiful sapphire eyes. Erik had come home. He found a smile tugging at the corners of his lips, uncharacteristic of him but a sign of how much he had missed the other. He felt the other's Houndour slip past his legs inside the house and briefly his mind pauses to hope that his new Sneasel, Benedict, wouldn't try to rough the Pokemon up too badly before he or Delphi could do something to stop him from causing too much trouble. The Poochyena was still asleep around his neck, but he found himself not caring, too busy drinking in the sight of the other standing in the doorway. Sure, he knew that he wouldn't look all that amazing himself, not when he was sure that his ribs stuck out a little more prominently than they had before Erik had left and his hair was all ruffled up from where he was tossing and turning in his too big bed - it hadn't seemed like it was quite so large until Erik had left, and then he'd found himself unable to settle properly, tossing and turning throughout the night as he tried to find some position that was comfortable only for it to elude him - but he didn't care, not when Erik was standing there in his doorway. He didn't even care that Erik had been gone for all that time, he didn't care that he'd spent all those days worrying about the smaller and fearing that he'd gotten himself eaten by that giant creature that had been rumored to be flying about, he didn't care about any of it. He didn't want to wait a second longer, lunging forward to snatch the boy up into his arms, nuzzling his hair softly.
"Don't apologize. The past is the past, it's done with now. You're back now and that's what matters." His voice was a little rough, borderline on a growl, but if anyone thought he was angry, they would have been dead wrong; the growl lurking behind his words was one of happiness, the quiet one that only Erik was ever able to entice out of him. It felt good to have the smaller in his arms again, and he hefted the Sableye Gijinka just a little higher as he carried the younger inside, ignoring the feel of Erik's clothes brushing against his bare chest. "Do you want me to get you something to eat?" he asked quietly, not sure if Erik had put anything in his belly before wandering back and feeling the urge to make sure that he had before he went to sleep again. "I don't mind making you something." His stomach gave a small pang of pain at the mention of food, too empty to even try to give a grumble of protest, but he ignored it, too giddy over Erik's return to bother with a detail as small as feeding himself. He'd eat some berries if the other wanted to eat something, but if not, it wouldn't kill him to go without until tomorrow.

It was like drinking water after a long drought, or cuddling up next to a fire in a bitter winter night. Cerberus seemed to have settled in with his Pokemon friends quite easily, but Erik left him to his own devices, when Lydian swept him up in a hug that had the boy cuddling gratefully in to his embrace. Instinctively, his arms went to curl themselves around Lydian's waist, a waist he found much smaller then he remembered. The feel of pure warmth from Lydian's b are skin was a feeling Erik missed greatly, and the boy couldn't resist nuzzling his face in to Lydian's neck, breathing in the other Gijinka's scent.
"I missed you." he murmured, a voice so soft it would've went unheard had Erik not been nuzzled almost directly next to Lydian's ear. He recognized the rough voice, the gruff manner, all of which no one but Erik would've been unafraid of. As dangerous and intimidating as Lydian look, even in his fiercest of rages, Erik would be unafraid next to him, because that is just how much he trusted the Houndoom gijinka, that he would never hurt him.
Squeaking a little as he was lifted, Erik scrambled and wriggled a little in Lydian's arms. He almost forgot Lydian's prospensity to want to ferry him everywhere, almost as if he didn't have feet to walk, and the younger boy protested a little by pouting, pulling back to look at Lydian. "You're the one who should be eating." he replied, putting a hand to frame Lydian's much thinner face, rubbing his thumb against the other's cheek. "Delphi, he hasn't been eating has he?" Erik asked the Absol he had a fond spot of, wriggling to get down and give the red-tinted pokemon a pat on her head.
When he heard a little whine outside though, the boy perked up and squeaked a bit before scrambling outside t where Sprite stood waiting, his fire tail lashing in uncertainty. The fire-type had been uncertain when he saw his master being swept up and away by Lydian, and now when Erik appeared once more, Sprite purred and whined and yanked at Erik so that the boy stood closer, worry permeating his warm red eyes despite Erik's grin. "Hush Sprite, I'm fine. This is home, remember?" he tried to soothe, despite the Kindlen lashing his fair tail around the smaller frame of the gijinka protectively.

Words;; 578 Tags;; Erik Winchester Eggs;; None Layout by Kuroya Notes;; Meet Benedict, a vicious serial killer in Pokemon form. :'D This is the first time he's been on the wrong side of Lydi, and I don't think he likes it. Lydi is NOT pleased over a threat to Erik right now...
It felt good, natural even, for Erik to be back in his arms, and Lydian found himself letting out a soft growl when the Sableye Gijinka's arms wound their way around him, clinging to him tightly even as he nuzzled a spot that had Lydian pushing back a little growl of pleasure. He heard the soft words whispered to him, and his crimson eyes softened as he leaned down to nuzzle the boy's hair affectionately. "I missed you too," he replied softly, meaning every word - he really had missed having the smaller boy around. With the younger properly situated in his embrace, he found himself pausing at the hand that rested against the side of his face, a thumb stroking his cheek in a manner that had him turning his head to the side a little just to lean into it with his eyes slipping closed before he pressed a gentle kiss to Erik's palm on impulse. He was running on instinct now, drunk on the high of knowing that the Sableye Gijinka was back and maybe even a little lightheaded from a lack of decent sleep and an empty stomach. "I'm fine," he stated quietly, his eyes opening again to drink in the other's features even as he reluctantly allowed the other to get down and stroke his Absol, who let out a hum and nodded to his question. So what if he hadn't really been eating? He didn't see what the big deal was. He was still alive, and it wasn't like it'd done him all too much more damage that just taking away most of what little fat he had on his body. He couldn't find it in him to be angry though, too busy enjoying having Erik back to try to fight anything. His mind would sometimes tease him with dreams like this, but even if this was a dream from which the Houndoom Gijinka would wake pining for the other, he found himself unwilling quite yet to break the spell that was over him.
At the whine that came from outside, Lydian blinked, pausing from where he was scooping a stirring Ragnarok from off his neck. He didn't recognize the sound, so he was curious even as he set the drowsy Poochyena on his paws again, padding towards the door. Seeing the way the Pokemon was yanking Erik away from him, however, Lydian let out a low growl, bristling up a little in spite of himself. He had just gotten the other back, he didn't want to lose him again, especially not to a Pokemon. His warning growl, however, attracted the attention of one of the few of his Pokemon that he probably didn't want around Erik, a Sneasel he had obtained while the Sableye Gijinka had been gone. The Ice-type darted forward, claws flashing darkly, and he didn't take a whole lot of stock of the situation before he was lunging with his claws out, ready to attack Erik, but the Houndoom Gijinka acted first, grabbing the Pokemon and yanking him back before he could even get anywhere close to the Sableye Gijinka, his eyes narrowed. "You do not touch Erik, understand Benedict? If I catch you laying a single claw on him, I will tear you apart myself," he growled, the Ice-type gulping and cowering from his Trainer's ire before he was dropped to the ground, darting away immediately. Lydian would not stand for anyone trying to hurt his Beta.

Lydian was slender enough as it is, and Erik should've known he wouldn't eat properly when he wasn't around. See if he took off again anytime soon. Making a mental note to feed Lydian as soon as possible, the distraction had Erik stumbling backwards in surprise, even as his Kindlen reared up and snatched Erik backwards with his teeth, running on an instinctive nature. Blinking as Lydian reprimanded the Sneasel, the slight boy shushed the Kindlen too, rubbing the orange creature's neck until Sprite calmed down, before giving Lydian a grin. "You've amassed yourself some new ones haven't you?" the boy commented quietly, as he came forward, urging the new Pokemon to come as well.
"Lydi, have yuo seen a Pokemon like this before? I'm not too sure what it is, but he's a sweetheart." Erik introduced, despite the wary look in his Kindlen's eyes. "Sprite, be nice, this is Lydian. My... er, yeah." he trailed off, a little unsure as to what he called Lydian, but wanting to stay with him nonetheless. Giving the structure a lookover and deciding that Sprite was nowhere near small enough to roam in the house, the male instead turned to the pokemon again and grinned. "Stay outside and explore, but don't wander too far. If you get lost, Demi will bring you back." he instructed, looking for his Skarmory and spotting the volatile female soaring in the skies.
Letting the Kindlen go, Erik took up Lydian's hand and tugged at the male to go inside, letting out his twin eevee's Nyx and Erebus, as well as Aphrodite the Pachirisu out to play, before directing his attention towards the kitchen, giving the Absol a distracted pat as he tried to figure what could he make. "Now, what do you feel like eating? No berries, its not enough to sustain you already." Erik wagged a finger at Lydian in warning,f rowning.

Lydian was still on edge after that, bristling a little from the perceived threat, and as a result, he started violently when Delphi padded over and nudged her head into his hand, the red-tinted Absol trying to soothe her Trainer. He blinked at the nickname, having forgotten that Erik had shortened his name like that. It wasn't that he didn't like it - on the contrary, it made him feel all the warmer despite being a Gijinka of a Pokemon that naturally felt flames licking about inside it - but it was more that it was... something he found himself surprised he had forgotten is all. "I don't know. I haven't seen anything like this before," he murmured quietly, inspecting the Pokemon before him. It was obviously a Fire-type judging by the flame on the tip of the tail, but other than that, Lydian couldn't really discern anything about this one. Still, it was one of Erik's Pokemon, so he reaching a hand out, an offer for the other to investigate his scent and decide if he liked it or not. Delphi was obviously satisfied that he wasn't going to lash out again, the Absol padding back into the house to handle a dispute between Soddom, his Cacnea, and Benedict, the Sneasel having attempted to terrorize the Grass-type to try to recover some of his pride after his Trainer had frightened it out of him.
The Houndoom Gijinka blinked at the feeling of Erik taking his hand and tugging on him, following after him obediently, still not sure he wanted this to end quite so soon. If questioning the Sableye Gijinka could lead to waking up, he wasn't going to, instead preferring to remain asleep with the person he had been pining for, even if it was just an illusion. A small smile tugged at his lips when he saw the sleepy Ragnarok attempt to play with the two Eevees and the Pachirisu, the Poochyena tripping over his own paws with exhaustion more often than not, but he let the pup romp, preferring to keep his eyes on Erik and give Delphi a gently pat as she padded by, the red-tinted Absol heading upstairs and disappearing. He shrugged at the question the other posed to him, shifting his weight lazily to his back foot, completely at ease with Erik in his house. "I'm not really hungry," he answered softly, stretching his arms over his head to try to get rid of a slight ache low in his back. "Berries will be fine to quiet my stomach. I'll eat later." He had a feeling Erik wouldn't like what he'd find when he started poking around the kitchen; there wasn't really anything to eat aside from some Pokemon food and a handful of berries, a result of him just not really being hungry since Erik left and the worry started gnawing away at his appetite.

His two Eevee's had no bounds of energy, the two of them being twins at birth, had each as playmates. Occasionaly they did like playing with others though, and more often then not they tired their playmate out. As was the case now with Lydian's Poocheyena, Nyx and Erebus wearing the already worn out yuoung pup. Usually, Erik would pull the Eevee's away, but he was too preoccupied with rummaging through the cupboards, murmuring gentle hums at Lydian's replies before standing up from where an opened cupboard door had covered his figure, and directed a frown at Lydian. "You haven't been eating at all, there's nothing in here!" he scolded, his voice raising slightly, blue eyes glittering as they turned to Absol. "Delphi, we're going to the market tomorrow." he told the red-tinted female he's taken to be somewhat of the house keeper.
Pushing the door shut, the boy instead went to the bowl of berries and took a handful, shoving them at Lydian. "Eat, or I'm going to make you eat them." the smaller sized boy said, dropping the edible objects in to Lydian's hands before reaching up to caress the other boy's face with the back of his hand, frowning all the while. He didn't like how thin Lydian looked now. As if the Houndoom gijinka wasn't thin enough on a regular basis, lanky and tall. Erik didn't need him losing even more weight, weight he didn't have in the first place.
Plodding out of the kitchen, he grinned at the gambolling Pokemon, picking up Ragnarok to give him a cuddle before proceeding to watch as Cerberus climbed and curled up on his favorite pillow in the house, under the stairs, nose tucked under his forepaws. Batting the two Eevee's away and hushing them to play themselves, Erik placed the half-asleep Poochyena next to his sleeping Houndour, and then turned to survey the rest of the house. Well, Delphi didn't do a bad job of the place, Erik knew she would've did her best, but there was only so much a Pokemon could do. Finally turning his glance back at Lydian, Erik's eyes had turned from berating to complacent as he sighed. "You really need to learn how to take care of yourself more."

Lydian could see that Erik's two Eevees were completely tiring out Ragnarok, the poor Poochyena being quickly brought to function on empty, but he just let out a soft chuckle at the sight of the normally hyper canine being tired enough to pretty much collapse onto the ground, paws splayed on either side of him as he tried not to fall asleep right there in the middle of the floor. The Houndoom Gijinka turned his attention to Erik when he heard the other's voice, not really seeming perturbed by the fact that there wasn't any food in his cupboards. "I've been doing fine with just berries, Erik," he offered, shrugging. "Besides, I spent most of my time sleeping, so it's not like I really needed to eat a whole lot anyway." Delphi, however, didn't agree with her Trainer's casual explanation, and she nodded firmly, ignoring Lydian's half-hearted grumble about how "they were all conspiring against him". Still, when the Houndoom Gijinka had some berries shoved in his hand, he knew better than to protest with the frown on Erik's face, instead putting a Pecha berry in his mouth and chewing on it slowly, swallowing the food to the gurgling complaints of his empty stomach. He paused at the touch to his face, however, turning his head to the side to nuzzle the hand that was touching his skin, in a bit more of a sentimental mood than he might ordinarily indulge in, but if this was a dream, he was allowed to be a little more gentle than he usually acted, especially to the one person he felt deserved it most, so it was unsurprising that a whine escaped him when Erik pulled away, though he turned his attention back to trying to finish off the berries in his hand.
Ragnarok cuddled sleepily into Erik's embrace, sniffing at him with a wagging tail before yawning and curling up, his yellow eyes slipping shut as he was laid down next to the Houndour that belonged to his Alpha's companion. Delphi was busy separating Soddom and Benedict again, while Armageddon was trying to straighten things up, though he padded over to Erik and rolled over to show that he wasn't going to try to attack the Sableye Gijinka again. Lydian watched everything from his spot in the kitchen, finishing up his handful of berries and then striding over when he had so that he could put his arms around Erik again, the Houndoom Gijinka feeling the need to be sure that the boy was still here with him rather than gone. "I take care of myself just fine," he murmured, nuzzling into the younger's hair as he inhaled the Sableye Gijinka's scent, something he had found he missed and that had really faded greatly from both the sheets and his memory while the other had been gone. "You don't need to worry so much about me. I'll be fine."

Frowning again at Lydian, Erik made his displeasure at Lydian's lack of eating habits known. As it was, he worried about Lydian everydya he was away, the idea that his worries weren't for naught only intensified his worry for him. Turning to face the household, a fond smile graced Erik's lips as he recognized the familiar chaos that surrounded them, what with so many Pokemon living under the same roof. Generally, trainers would keep their creatures in their balls. but Erik operated differently, and he liked watching his companions out. Nyx and Erebus especially, needed all the exercise their hyperactive bodies can get, so more often then not, Erik's pokemon were allowed free roaming.
"You do not." he murmured in return when Lydian wrapped his arms around his small frame and spoke. Yet he automatically turned to meet his cheeks to Lydian's lips, giving a soft sight when he felt the familiar feel of the other's warm breathe against his. Unable to resist, he turned in Lydian's embrace to wrap his arms around Lydian's neck, and gave him a mockingly scolding stare. "You'll be fine, but you'r enot really fine. You're a bag of bones now." he scolded gently, frowning, before pulling closer to snuggle against Lydian's frame, head tucked just in the crook of the taller male's neck.
He missed this, this warmth from Lydian, the safety he felt just standing next to him, with him, close to him. Like nothing in the world could hurt them as long as he had Lydian next to him. Making a comfortable murmur, he snuggled closer, his half-masted eyes taking note of howeven Erebus and Nyx seemed to have settled in their corner, and from the window Sprite seemed to be acquainting himself with Demi, his Skarmory. "I'm tired." Erik murmured, stifling a yawn as his grip became tighter. Only with Lydian, could he completely loosen himself and every burden he had.

Words;; 438 Tags;; Erik Winchester Eggs;; None Layout by Kuroya Notes;; Lydi is happy to be spending time with Erik. He's a happy little puppy~ *bitten by Lydi*
Lydian felt Erik's body press against him, the slender form fitting into his own a little more jaggedly than usual due to the fat that the Houndoom Gijinka had lost, but that was okay since Lydian was just glad to have the other in his arms once more. He had missed the Sableye Gijinka greatly, and that was why he was happy enough to let out the softest growl he ever had, the contented sound wavering through the air between them. He felt Erik shift in his arms so that when he leaned down to inhale his scent, he instead was greeted with the feel of one of Erik's cheeks against his lips, and while ordinarily the action might have made him grumble and snarl, right now it instead made the edges of a smile tug at the corners of his lips as he placed a gentle kiss there before he felt the smaller move again, this time squirming around so that small arms could wrap around his neck. "I'll get better, Erik," he murmured in a soft response to the scolding, rolling his crimson eyes a little even if he didn't snap like he usually would. "I just had a little bit of a lean time is all." Now that Erik was back tucked against his body, he found it easy to come up with reasons for him to have an appetite.
Right now though, exhaustion was weighing him down, and it was doing it pretty damn well too. His Pokemon were starting to settle down now, Delphi being one of the few to still be awake, but that was because she was doing a sweep of the lower floor of the house looking for trouble and no doubt keeping an eye on him. He had no intention of snapping and throwing a fireball as he had been so prone to doing when something would irritate him while Erik was missing; he had no reason to with the other Gijinka in his arms and tucked up close to his chest. He leaned down and gently nuzzled the smaller male's hair again, enjoying the feel of knowing that Erik was back in his arms. He tucked the Sableye Gijinka closer, shifting his body a little to try to make the smaller more comfortable, and gently playing with a few of the strands of the slate hair. "It's okay, Erik," he murmured softly, tightening his arms until he'd scooped the boy up in them again and began carrying him towards the staircase. "You can sleep in with me tonight. Bed's more than big enough for the both of us."
