Words;; 639 Tags;; Sparkle Eggs;; Layout by Kuroya Notes;; ... ._. Alexi, when did you become so cruel? Is Oli finally rubbing off on you and making you the badass cold-hearted bastard you need to be to be a good TR member or are you just suffering from withdrawal again? *electrocuted* This was a mission of stealth. Alexander had to investigate something deep inside the Power Plant. He didn't want to admit exactly what he had come here, per se, which was why he'd have to be careful to keep it hush-hush, especially from anyone in Team Rocket. He had a strong feeling that at least one, if not both, of his direct superiors would know where he was today, but he had no intention of revealing to them exactly what he had come here to do. If he was asked, he would claim that he came here to practice his abilities a little, throw some lightning bolts at some scrap metal and practice his aim, particularly with his Thunder, which was an attack that was more likely to miss than it was to hit. It was a flat-out lie though, he wouldn't likely spend more than a few minutes shooting lightning bolt from his fingers. No, he had another purpose here, but he wasn't eager to admit it.
Still, there was one thing he'd learned as a rich kid, and that was how to push people around. The prideful Zebstrika Gijinka strutted right up to a small opening watched by only a single guard. Obviously this was a smaller entrance, perhaps one meant for service only and blocked off later on or limited in the areas it could reach? The raven-haired male hardly cared, however. He could find his way about no problem, he just needed somewhere to get in, and he could make his way from there. He ignored the man's order to halt and even the gun pointed at his chest, making sure never to pause in his stride, the one that he had learned from his bastard of a father. As much of an asshole as the man was, Alexi had learned one thing that was quite valuable from him, and that was how to act like a snobby aristocrat who was born, bred, and used to people bowing over themselves to kiss his feet. Dim-witted people, he found, were quite suggestible, and the mere fact that they fell for such an act always amused him, but they could and would end up buying his act of importance every time he used it. "I'm here to tour the place," he stated proudly, his chin held high. "My name is Alexander Kain. Let me pass." To hell with the fact that he was using his real name. Let the bastard know that he was on the move. He didn't give a fuck. Besides, his last name could cause quite the effect in people like this. Almost everyone in Epispect knew of the Kain family. They had money, the head of the family was quite an intelligent scientist, and the son was supposedly powerful. His lips twitched at the thought of his father maybe attempting to keep his escape a little more hush-hush, to try to save the family name from scandal.
He'd just have to drag it through the mud. When the guard's hand reached for his walkie-talkie, Alexander showed no mercy, lunging forward and letting out a Discharge into the man, the sudden electricity shocking the human until he passed out unconscious. Alexander let him fall to the ground and merely stepped over his body, striding into the plant and navigating through the hallway with his hands in his pockets, a sling on his back holding the hefty weight of his two newest eggs and his three Pokemon resting in their Pokeballs on his belt. A cruel smirk covered his features and he let out a dark chuckle. Let them come. Let them all come. If they stood in his way now, he'd just throw them aside like he did the guard. He wasn't going back to those bastards at Epispect, not now and not ever.

Connor was not expecting anything to actually happen at the power plant today. He'd come here on a routine check, nothing really serious. He really just had to check a few things and make sure the plant was still in good order. It was a boring task really and he wanted to be doing something more productive or at the very least interesting. Training his pokemon for example would have been much more interesting. Sadly he was stuck doing this for the moment. He was almost done though which was a good thing. It meant he’d be getting out of there sooner. Humming under his breath he worked on finishing the last of his work for his trip. He just had a few more notes to make and one more thing to check after this than he’d be home free. Maybe he could still get some training in, which was an appealing thought. Then this wouldn’t seem like such a big waste of time.
“Alright I just have one more thing to look at for the report the higher ups want.” he spoke to his guide who merely nodded and headed off in the right direction once Connor had told him where he needed to go. They were headed there when his guide radioed one of the guards who was stationed outside a rarely used entrance. He didn’t get a response right away so the guide tried again with the same results. Connor raised an eyebrow. “Shall we go see what’s going on there?” he asked and his guide nodded. They headed in that direction and a sudden draft brought him the harsh scent of electricity and he frowned slightly tilting his head. That was interesting; he was under the impression that this area wasn’t being used.
“Stay here.” he growled roughly and the guide started to frown but Connor waved him off as he headed on. Rounding the corner he spotted a raven haired young man with a dark smirk on his face. He was athletic looking and fairly attractive but too aristocratic for Connor’s tastes. Right now he was coming off as arrogant and cocky which rubbed Connor the wrong way just then. A smirk tugged at the black haired young man’s mouth as he eyed the stranger. He could still smell the electricity in the air and if he had to guess this young upstart had something to do with it. He paused hands in his pockets as he studied the raven haired teen. “Looking for something?” he asked casually cocking his head a bit. He didn’t care what the teen was doing here, he wasn’t supposed to be here.
It didn’t help that part of Connor was itching for a fight.

Words;; 632 Tags;; Connor "Trace" Langston Eggs;; Layout by Kuroya Notes;; Your third thread with a member of Epispect and you're ALREADY picking another fight? *shakes head* When will you learn, Alexi? When? Alexander sauntered easily through the plant's concrete corridors, and when he figured out why it had been so easy for him to break in, his smirk widened and he chuckled. A locked chain link fence. Really? They thought that would keep the Gijinka out? Idiots. He knew he could very well just use a Flame Charge to melt it and knock the thing down, but where was the fun in that? None whatsoever. Tossing his head, he raised his leg up and kicked out in a strong Stomp attack once, twice, three times before the metal gave at the hinge, falling over. Sure, he'd been shocked when he'd touched the charged metal, but the thing had been high in voltage, not amperage, and even then he didn't give a damn. He was a Zebstrika, and with his Motor Drive, he just absorbed any electricity thrown his way and allowed it to whizz around him, thrown into his little internal generator. In fact, he stood there for a moment in the entrance he'd made, his eyes closed as he soaked in the feeling of having power darting over his skin before it sunk in and he opened them again. Rolling his shoulders and wincing a little as the straps of his back cut into his flesh - the two eggs on his back were rather heavy - he decided to rummage around in one of the pockets of his blue riding jacket before he pulled out a single Pokeball, tossing it into the air and sending out one of his faithful companions, the rearing form of his Ponyta. Remus whinnied out a loud challenge, his hooves thrashing at the air before he crashed back down, snorting, his blue flames flaring up as he awaited for Alexi to tell him why he had been brought out.
The Zebstrika Gijinka shrugged off his bag, untying a few strings so that it fell open to reveal it was actually a modified saddlebag that he was quick to sling over the proud Fire-type's shoulders. "Keep an eye on these for me," he muttered firmly. "Make sure they stay warm and don't let them fall off." The Ponyta nodded, snorting out a little bit of flame as he followed his Trainer with a firm gait, the only sound of their passage being the occasional sound of hoof hitting metal when Remus stepped on a stray piece of equipment rather than the concrete, their footsteps echoing farther ahead in the tunnel. Despite all that, something in the raven-haired male stirred, that instinct to run that he knew often was the herald for meeting someone else. Raising up a hand in a silent command for the Ponyta to wait, he took a few more steps before he found himself face to face with the source, another male with midnight hair, though this one had amber eyes and the glossy ink strands were far longer and smoother than Alexi's own. His chin lifted proudly, adding to the air of nobility and power that Alexander could summon up when the mood suited him. His family had once been great, and as far as he was concerned, he thought he was strong enough to carry on that ideal. He had to be. "Now that you mention it... no," he stated coldly, one of his hands falling back behind him, gathering up a little electricity in case the one before him wanted a fight. "I know exactly where I'm going, now if you would excuse me, I have business to attend to." Sure, he was trying to bluff his way out, but he couldn't leave this place with what he had come here for, and something about the male before him just rubbed him the wrong way. Alexander never had taken well to authority...

Well Connor was most certainly not expecting this. He wondered what he lone male and his Ponyta were doing here of all places. He was sure that Ponyta’s liked open spaces where they could run at will but he wasn’t keen on fire-type pokemon so he didn’t know for sure. He didn’t particularly care either since at the moment it was the trainer who was getting into trouble. More like annoying Connor but technicalities! He didn’t have to wait long for the male to respond to his question. He should have expected the other to go on the defensive really but he’d been rather hoping he wouldn’t. Then again it was more fun with the rebellious ones sometimes.
Connor raised an eyebrow as the other male’s chin lifted. The shiny Haxorus Gijinka didn’t miss the proud, arrogant set to the man’s stance. It was so blatantly obvious that it really couldn’t have been missed. Connor had to admit he was mildly impressed. He listened passively as the other man spoke, his arms moving to be folded across his chest. Clearly this boy thought he was hot stuff, with enough money and power that he could just waltz right in and do whatever he pleased. Connor snorted softly as the hair on the back of his neck stood up slightly. So this little upstart was responsible for the electricity he could smell. Well then, that changed things a bit. If he was dealing with a Gijinka he might be dealing with an illegal one. Possible but he really hoped he wasn’t because he didn’t feel like killing anyone today.
He just wanted to work off some pent up stress.
“I’m sorry but I’m afraid I can’t let you through. See, we don’t take kindly to those who break into places and especially those who knock out security guards.” he commented idly keeping half an eye on the raven haired male before him and the blue-flamed Ponyta he could see behind the other male. He was sure that his words wouldn’t go unchallenged but he wasn’t regretting them. “Now, I do believe you know where the door is.” he added a slight smirk quirking up the corners of his mouth. He doubted the other male would listen to him but oh well it wasn’t his fault. He was mostly sure he could hold his own against the other, though he wasn’t about to overestimate his own abilities. His stance shifted just a touch as he centered himself. He wouldn’t be caught unawares if the other male was looking for a fight.
He knew better than that.

He didn't like this. He didn't like this at all. He could smell something up with the other male, and he didn't like it. He didn't like anyone near his Trainer in the first place, not when he had seen first-hand what others had done to the prideful young man who had joined up with Team Rocket, but there was something about this one that told him that there was nothing but trouble brewing here. His blue flames bristled up higher in a challenge, a warning threat to not mess with his Trainer, but before he could smash a hoof into the ground like he wanted to so that he could show how powerful he was, he felt a hand shoving his muzzle to the side, forcing him to stumble a step or two away from where he was, his wide eyes turning to his Trainer in an obvious question.
"Not now," Alexander murmured in an undertone, his eyes flickering up to gaze at the other male here. "I'd rather not raise an alarm if I don't have to." He then raised his voice, his hand remaining down and sparking lightly despite the draw on his energy reserves. He'd been throwing a lot of electricity out lately, and even though it was in his blood now to generate electricity, he had expended a lot more than usual in recent weeks, so it was to be expected that he hadn't quite replenished all of it yet, especially with all the stuff he'd discharge involuntarily in his sleep with his dreams. Still, that wasn't territory he was comfortable examining, even privately in his head, so he thought nothing of pushing it aside to deal with the man before him. "Bullshit, people break in here every day," he replied, the words coming out flippant and sarcastic, challenging. Well. Looks like trying to play the aristocrat failed. His back slumped out of its ramrod position - Alexi had always hated having to sit and move like that, he always felt like he had a pole shoved up his ass when he would, but his father had instilled proper posture in him, and that would come out when he needed to play the part - and he slid easily into more of a defensive stance in result, ready for the first attack if it came. "So you see, just because little old you caught up to me doesn't mean that I'm going to leave any time soon. I didn't come here to fight and I didn't come here to cause trouble. I still would rather be left to go about my business quietly, but if you want to make trouble for me too, I will be forced to return fire." His obsidian eyes hardened, boring into the male before him. "So it's your choice as to what happens next. Either way, I assure you, I will be proceeding further into this plant. The only decision you have is whether you will be walking away from this or if I'll have to take care of you too."

Connor eyed the Ponyta out of the corner of his eye. Protective pokemon were always tricky to deal with even on the best of days. He most certainly didn’t want to deal with a pissed off fire type. He might be a dragon type Gijinka but he respected fire, thanks. Ponyta’s were also quick and agile with hard hooves. He didn’t feel like getting kicked today, he just wanted to get this over with. He was glad that the Ponyta’s trainer seemed to have him well in hand though. He raised an eyebrow at the man’s response a smirk tugging up the corners of his mouth. So, he hadn’t bought the bluff. Well Connor hadn’t really expected him too but it was good to know he’d at least caught an intelligent (if arrogant) trespasser. Maybe he’d be a worthy opponent and Connor did want to see if this was true but so far the other hadn’t really done anything except take down a guard. So Connor didn’t really see any reason to detain him beyond what the man’s intentions were. People often came here to see if there were any wild pokemon and Connor was hoping that was what this young man was here for. He snorted when the other called him old though.
He was not old.
“I wouldn’t mind letting you pass, but you’ve failed to tell me what exactly your business here is.” he replied eyeing the defensive stance the young man had fallen into. He could see the sparks flickering off the other’s hand and realized he was probably dealing with an electric type Gijinka which was interesting but not surprising. They were in an electric plant after all so maybe the other was drawn to the other electric types that hung around here. He lifted his hands, palms outward, showing that they were empty and had no attacks forming. “I’m not looking for a fight either, I’m just trying to do my job. How about a compromise than. I’ll make sure you get to where you’re going, let you do what you need to do, than let you go on your merry little way.” he suggested knowing that the man would go through with his threat of returning fire. That was why he wasn’t attacking just yet. He didn’t really want to cause trouble either cause likely it would bite him in the ass later. Plus he was bored and this might prove much more interesting.
He could also keep an eye on the other just in case he was up to something.
Connor sort of didn’t think that was the case though. Call it a hunch combined with the man’s words but he just didn’t think the other was really up to anything. What his business here was though, Connor had no idea and that’s what had him curious. He might regret it later but whatever, he’d deal with it if it came to a fight. He didn’t want it too but hey he had learned to roll with the punches when he absolutely had too.

Words;; 476 Tags;; Connor "Trace" Langston Eggs;; - - 4/5 - - 4/5 - - 2/5 - - 2/5 Layout by Kuroya Notes;; This took longer than I thought it would. ._. I am deeply ashamed of myself. Remus's tail flicked, a wave of blue flames, but the Ponyta didn't move, still loyal to his Trainer as Alexander straightened a little out of his defensive stance, his arms still low and sparking lightly with power. "What does it matter what my business here is?" the raven-haired boy spat, coal eyes narrowed. "I assure you I'm not up to any trouble and that if I had no encountered any attempts to impede my path, no one would have been any the wiser that I was even here." He snorted, tossing his head proudly. "Figures. You people are all the same. Too proud to understand that someone honestly means something they say." His eyes narrowed. "I am many things, but among them is not liar. I do not need you to escort me around like some sort of child. I know where I'm going, I know how to do what I need to do, and I know the way out from there. I won't break, steal, or otherwise harm anything that does not attempt to harm me first. Your job would not be the least bit influenced by just walking away and pretending you never saw me in the first place."
A nudge from behind had him stumbling forward a few steps, the Zebstrika Gijinka whipping his head around quickly to see the Deerling quietly standing behind him. He hadn't even noticed when Octavian had come out of his Pokeball, but apparently the Deerling decided to come out and try to advise him. He knew what Octavian wanted to tell him, that it was pointless to start a fight now, but the thing is, it was a rather sensitive reason - for the young Kain anyway - and he didn't really want to share it, particularly with a complete stranger. Every instinct in his body went against showing a potential weakness to someone else, something that had only been reinforced since he became a part of Team Rocket, and he considered having to recharge himself a great weakness. It wasn't just black and white, not anymore. Still though, at Octavian's pleading look, he took a deep breath in, his coal eyes slipping shut before he exhaled, his chest falling beneath his jacket with the movement. "My apologies," he ground out, falling back on his old habits. "This is a touchy subject for me, and one I have learned to closely guard as a matter of survival. Thus I have no wish to disclose it to anyone, especially not someone I just met and do not even know by name." The words were a little biting, sarcastic, but that was just like their speaker, who had already been thoroughly disillusioned about the world he lived in. "So if you would excuse me, I would like to proceed further, before I do something I might choose to regret."
