Fighting-types, fire-types, electric-types, ground-types, steel-types... The variety of the place amazed her, and with her mind still clinging to her earlier visit to the power-plant, the knight of iron had decided to bring Ferrum back to train.
She clung to iron bars jutting from a wall, hanging just below a monstrosity above. After a long moment, she called in her quietest voice, “Ferrum?” Above her was a large chamber used for the burning of all sorts of materials. She hung to the maintenance ladder which lead into the belly of the monstrous machine. Endellion and Ferrum had found a tunnel leading to it, where the ashes and soot from the machine were dumped. It had seemed that the monstrous machine had once burned tons upon tons of resources to boil a chamber of water, that in turned energized a special set of materials which could convert the energy into electricity for the city...
But, once they’d switched to another sort of energy, the large machine had been shut off, and the huge beast was Endellion’s way into the inner-sanctum and abandoned halls of the power plant’s basement.
She’d decided to wear something less precious this time, leaving her coveted knight gear and her hammer at home, and dressing in an old cadet uniform. The brown and red uniform was used to being dragged through all sorts of rough and dirty environments, after all.
After a long moment, she heard a soft call of, “Char!” <All-clear, Endy!>
Taking it as a sign that she was home free, Endellion climbed the ladder and found herself crouching in a large metal tank. She made her way over to the large grate in which they’d probably shoveled coal, paper, and wood into, and came out only slightly less black that she had that weekend. Ferrum met her with a smile, the soot-encrusted charmander clinging to her pants-leg.
She patted him, and started carefully towards the door. “Come on, Ferrum. We’ve got work to do.” Little did the knight of iron know there was someone also in the room...

Eyes droopy, and tone of speech quieter than usual. A sigh escaped the body of the trainer. Yet again today was another day where he did some work at the over-working power plant. It didn't matter much to him that he had a job at the plant which provided the city with electricity. Most kids would kill to have a job, but Dee would tell them otherwise that it's not as fun as they might think. Even though he gets paid enough to buy food and shelter for him and his Pokemon. What a day, can't get any better than this, thought the kid as he looked onto the computer screen, clicking away at the mouse. He had to make sure that all the items in the plant's inventory were still here and haven't been placed in the damaged bin. Due to the wild Pokemon that inhabit some parts of the plant, you never know when one of them might cause some a ruckus. Boxes levitated across the room, one after another soared from one side to the other. Deano was too busy with inventory to finish up another of his duties. Thankfully due to a recent capture of a Woobat, some chores became much easier. The bat Pokemon used the move confusion to allow itself to levitate the small boxes and place them where they needed to go. A eerie screech came from the flying Pokemon as the last box was placed down and he swarmed over to Deano, who at the moment was still finishing up checking the inventory. "Ahh, I see the boxes are done. Thanks a ton Woobat." He complimented the Pokemon who responded with a smile on his face. Suddenly a noise could be heard from behind the two, and the trainer turned around. He looked at the clock on the wall to see if any of the scientists were back from their lunch break. It was a no-go. Maybe it was a wild pokemon who managed to get past the security. Deano rose up from his rolling chair and slid towards the door, but before he knew it the door swung open and he was so shocked that he fell to the ground. Woobat just stood there flapping his wings, trying to hide the light giggles leaving the creatures body. He didn't know who was there but immediantly spoke up before taking a good look. "Whoever you are, your not supposed to be here!" [/style][style=font-size: 8px; font-family: arial;]MADE BY FLIQPY OF LOVESTAMP ![/style]

Then again, she should of expected there to be a few obstacles in her way this time around. She heaved a sigh when she noted the young man sprawled on the floor.
Ferrum followed her, and she shut the door behind her with a quick kick. Had she been toting Kale about, the iron knight would of heaved the hammer over her shoulder, cocked her head to the side, and rolled her eyes at the boy. Lacking the hammer, she settled for placing a hand on her hip and quirking her eyebrows. Ferrum kept to her side, once again clinging to her pants-leg. “C-char...”
The charmander seemed frightened, especially when he saw the Woobat fluttering about the room. He too had hoped they wouldn’t run into trouble this early in the game... especially since he’d given the all-clear... He winced, and began staring at the ground. He could expect a mock-battle against his fellow team-members tonight for his mistake...
Endellion was not to be deterred, or sent packing back into her tunnel. “Says who, kid?” She said in her boldest tone, nudging Ferrum forward with a boot. “I’ve got business here, same as you.” The iron knight walked around the fallen boy, planning to waltz right off into the factory.
Ferrum was less certain, as he stumbled nervously. He fell over slightly, and right ontop of the fallen fellow’s shoes. He quickly stood back up, now peaking over the blonde’s shoes at him.
Blonde hair... blue eyes... younger than Endellion for certain, even if she’d never look it. The lizard clung to the unknown fellow’s shoe, sort of on the fence about going any further...
Until Endellion snapped at him. “Ferrum.”
The little fire type gave the boy a shy, somewhat apologetic look, and stumbled towards Endellion. She wasn’t one you wanted to anger, the charmander had learned that much living with her for so many years... She was stubborn too.
If the boy wanted her to leave, he’d have to do more than lay down on the job.

After working at the factory for a few months now he's encountered several wild pokemon and have had to fend them off. None so far scared him like this, but all that was over once he realized that it was just a girl. Eyes shifted all around to examine the red-headed chick that stood before her. The color of her hair gave him a quick observation that she might be hot-headed. Although the young lad shouldn't make any judgement so fast, that's usually how he loses acquaintances. The girl yelled at the boy for getting in her way, and walked past him as if he was just a fly on the wall. Dee felt a surge of anger come forth from his body but he held it as anger mean't that he was losing focus. And that is something in which he mustn't lose. Woobat flew around the room, the poor bat pokemon didn't know what to do so he drifted down to Deano's side until he was ok. The trainer noticed the red lizard that accompanied her, he seemed nervous...but why. Suddenly the lizard fell over his shoe and began clinging to it as if he almost fell off a cliff. Was there something wrong with this pokemon, he seemed like a coward. Which was quite strange since in the pokedex, Charmander appeared to be brave little warriors. The pokemon didn't let go until the girl snapped at him and he apologized to Deano. Finally able to stand, the trainer brushed himself off from any of the dirt that he got on his clothes when he fell. Woobat followed after him as he continued to flap his wings and smile. "Sorry, but if your looking for more wild pokemon you won't find anymore past here." exclaimed the yellow-haired boy. He'd be in big trouble if the scientist found a stranger in the restricted areas of the plant. Whatever he did, he couldn't let this girl get by him. Deano paraded past her and sat back in his chair, looking down on the chick. Who did she think she was just stepping aside him as if he was nothing. "Besides it appears that that Charmander of your's still needs some training. I mean I thought all of them were suppose to be warriors...guess not." She scowled right back at him as he exclaimed,
“Sorry-but if you’re looking for more wild pokemon, you won’t find anymore past here.”
“That’s a damn lie, and you know it.” Was her abrupt response, as she stopped in her tracks and scowled at him. His mistake was not thinking she was a little girl, nor was it lying to her face... nor was it even the way he tried to look down at her.
It was insulting Ferrum that got her to swiftly and rather abruptly elapse into a rage.
She was the older, stronger, and more annoyed of the two of them. He was also sitting in a wheeled chair. That made for her advantage. “... You insult Ferrum, you insult me, twerp.” She said, very seriously, a cold glare upon her face. Endellion was not one to let anything stand in her way.
As a knight of the summit... she would let nothing stand in her way. The mountain could not bend to the air, just as she would not bend to the young man’s will.
She carefully moved her hands to distract him, forming a fist and cracking her knuckles purposely. It concealed her true movements, a swift and deft movement of her left leg. She poked him hard, in the chest, still clenching her fist at her side, “We, knights of the summit, aren’t about to take criticism from you, a kid who doesn’t know who the hell he’s dealing with. Ferrum is my page, and you will not insult his progress.”
With that simple, loud, and angry note, she used her foot to shove his chair left as she stepped back, and hopefully, the move would utterly surprise him, and throw he and the chair off balance to the side. Ferrum looked slightly wide-eyed, but knew she’d do something of the sort.
It was true, he needed training, but-that was why they were here.
He was shy... somewhat cowardly, but he was the ‘apprentice’, page to the great Countess of Iron, Endellion Rose, a knight of the summit. It wouldn’t do to go disappointing his mentor. While he hoped the Woobat wouldn’t retaliate against them, the charmander would fight for her honor..

The footsteps sounded like a giant had just made it's way here, it would appear that the staff have returned from the momentary lunch break and are back on duty. What would happen if one of the scientist bust threw the door to find a stranger here in the inventory station. They'd probably kick him out of the electrical plant and send him packing without any of his money. Dean had to avoid this situation, no matter what he had to do. Even though he disliked the job it's what allowed him and his Pokemon to live part of the good life. The trainer sat down relaxed in his chair, hoping that the statement he made earlier might have made the chick leave the plant and go home. But it was the exact opposite as the rage inside her came out and her eyes could have probably been on fire, or at least in Dean's imagination. The way she stood up for the lizard at her side, inspired the young lad. So far everyone that he's met, besides his family and Axel, would have never done what the red-headed girl did to him. They'd probably agree with him and dump the lizard in a forest or something. Maybe, just maybe, he's been hanging around the wrong type of people. The only people who knew now were a bunch of greedy scientist, who only cared for themselves and money. Woobat watched from afar at the way the chick began treating his master. He wanted to show her how strong the boss was, but right now, he could sense that he'd only cause more trouble if he butted in. For now, the batty creature just stood by until his master gave him any orders. Dean and the chair he sat upon went flying towards the side of the room when the girl kicked him. The impact caused light damage but did startle him a bit, she mean't business. "You seem to really care for that Pokemon of yours. That's good, its been a while since I've met someone like you." He responded, now that he knew she wasn't here to just cause trouble around the plant, then he might be able to make friends with him. Woobat apparently understood what was happening and began swarming around his master's body in a joyous way. Dean rubbed his hair as he stood up from his chair and walked forward to the girl. "Sorry we got off on the wrong foot, the name is Deano but you can call me Dean."The trainer was hoping to make amends for what happened before. But before he could send a smile her way, another noise rang from the walls as if someone was coming. "Uh no, there was a reason I didn't want you to continue forward. If they find you here, you and me both will be kicked out." [/style][style=font-size: 8px; font-family: arial;]MADE BY FLIQPY OF LOVESTAMP ![/style]

His name is Ferrum... and you shouldn’t believe everything you read, kid.” Endellion said sternly, sighing slightly. Her hand rested on the door’s handle, as she glanced back at Deano, whom was walking towards her now. It was a bit late to go sneaking deeper into the power plant, but, she was still considering it.
After all, it wasn’t like her to completely change her course without due cause.
She glanced back at him once more, and with a confused scowl, found that ... he was apologizing and introducing himself. The knight of iron’s grip on the door handle tightened, but, for whatever reason, she didn’t turn it. She didn’t leave.
Slowly, she found herself speaking again, and though she sounded rather peeved, she seemed to be speaking a good bit of wisdom. “The nature of a pokemon... has nothing to do with his species, and everything to do with his heart.” She said flatly, a restless hand at her side tapping at the pokeballs on her belt. Hoping Ferrum was preoccupied with his own thoughts, she included a smaller piece of heartfelt advice, that seemed less angry than her usual, “I would take the weak over the brute, any day. ... for frightened as my charmander seems, he’ll know power... and he’ll never misuse it.”
Deano. Her face changed minutely, probably in disbelief his parents had named him such a silly sounding thing. Then again, the names of the people in Aether City had always sounded strange to her, a child born of the mountain. After all, what would Endellion sound like to a mere stranger of the earth, when to a child of the mountain it meant Spirit of the Lioness...?
To many, it might as well have been the name of a pokemon.
Endellion’s hand still hovered on the door’s handle, frowning at the noises that caught her attention. Without a moment’s hesitation, she locked the door, and leaned on it. “... I am known as Endellion, the countess of iron.” She said somewhat quietly as she stared at Ferrum and the boy’s shoes, “... but, I’d prefer if you called me Briar... Dean.”
Ferrum was hugging Deano’s shoes again, smiling up at the boy; he seemed to have a penchant for hugging legs and shoes. It was his little, shy sort of way of saying, ‘I like you’. Though Endellion wasn’t too pleased with Ferrum’s insistent clinging, she supposed it was a good to know that Ferrum wasn’t frightened of Deano.
After all, Endellion trusted Ferrum’s instinct.
She gave a small pout, when she felt someone jiggling the door’s handle. There was no doubt one of them had the key. ”Feh.” She noted after he noted that he was afraid they’d both get kicked out, with a small smirk, “Kid, I’m not going to get you fired. I was just looking for a place to train Ferrum. ... maybe we’ll hit the park.”
Ferrum clung tightly to Deano’s left shoe. He was obviously not so keen on visiting the park, for some reason. “Charmander! Char...” <Noooo, not another mock battle...>

Responding with a sharp tone in his voice. Being corrected was one of the few things he disliked the most, probably because he was the smartest guy he knew. Even the scientists asked him a few questions sometimes on what does this do, and how do you get this to work. Honestly he didn't know why he wasn't running this plant right now. Obviously the trainer could easily outsmart anyone here, especially that idiot of a manager. If he couldn't realize how smart Dean was then he truly must be idiotic. Taking a few steps closer he proceeded to stop the girl from leaving the room. The scientists sounded like they were all over the place, making noises that could easily be heard in the inventory lab. Dean decided that if he tried to make friends with her then maybe she'd listen to him and he wouldn't get fired. Although if he got fired then maybe him and his pokemon could find a way better job than this. Is this place worth being miserable over... That thought began pounding his brain, as if it were telling him to make the right choice. But right now was not the time to make that sort of decision. Dean froze in his tracks when he heard what the girl muttered from her mouth. The heart of a Pokemon? What could she possibly mean by that. Sure he didn't abuse his Pokemon like some sort of slave master. Dee cared for each and everyone of his Pokemon like they were his best friends but not once did he think of what his Pokemon thought about him. Woobat soared around him happy as can be, but that's just their nature. Did the bat Pokemon care about him. Suddenly Woobat stopped flying and came landing down atop of his head, and began cuddling him. Damn that Pokemon was smart, he knew exactly what his trainer was thinking. Now it seemed that the girl was on his side, as she introduced her as Endellion, the countess of iron. A curious look on his face formed, what did she mean by that last phrase. Was it just a nickname she gave herself? "Umm, I'll just call you Endel if that's ok. By the way what's with the name of yours. Does it mean something." He asked out of curiosity, whenever he didn't know something the lad had to find out or else it'll kill him. Dean felt a clinging on his leg and looked down to find the lizard from before hanging onto him. Did the Pokemon begin to take a liking to him? "Whatever the case we at least have to get out of here. I know you want to train but could we find you a better place to do that." Complained the yellow-haired boy as he brushed the Charmander's head. It felt warm and soft, a nice touch to a fire type Pokemon. The warmth relaxed him a bit enough to calm him down about the situation at hand. Maybe this was why the lizard was clinging to him, all he wanted to was help him. "Come with me, there's a secret entrance near my station lets go there and it'll lead you to a hidden part of the plant. That's where the tough pokemon lay." Said as he grabbed Endel's hand and made sure Charmander and Woobat were holding on tight as he pulled her towards his computer. The screen was still fixated on the inventory page, and Dean closed that tab to bring up the security panel. After entering a long code, consisting of various numbers and letters, he pressed the enter key and behind them a wall lifted up like a secret entrance. That was the way out, but when he turned around to make it over there a figure stood in it. A man wearing glasses and a long white lab coat....his manager. The knight of iron watched as his Woobat fluttered overhead, and perched happily atop his hair. “You’d do well to know there’s power in names. If I called Ferrum ‘charmander’... he’d be just that. Nothing but a charmander to me.”
She had a small relocation of a Cubchoo staring her down with lonely eyes, the desire for a name and a purpose burning within him. It stung slightly, and she made herself a small promise to apologize to the creature in due time. Endellion pressed away from the recent memory, crossing her arms and slightly nodding at the woobat. “Perhaps, for you, names don’t hold power. ... for me, they hold a great deal of it.”
He inquired after calling her Endel, and she almost said something stupid. She hated when people shortened her name, but she held her tongue. After a moment she relented.
“...” She huffed slightly, but went on to say, “Yeah. You can call me Endel.” It was better than what they’d called her in cadet camp, and it was better than having a new acquaintance calling her ‘Endy’ or some blush worthy nonsense. She considered telling him what Endellion meant, but realized he might have been confused at her further introduction. “I’m a Summit Knight, and my title as such is The Countess of Iron. It... it’s something of a reference to my past.” She had other titles, but she preferred her truest calling: the title the leader of the Summit Knights had placed upon her shoulders.
She had been called other things, daughter of the fabled, voice of a nation, the clarion’s call... All paled in compare to her knight’s rite, Countess of Iron. For it was a much more honorable and subtle note at her history and prowess.
“And... Endellion’s a mountain name. ... Spirit of the Lioness.” Endellion decided to go ahead and add, “I can’t say I know what the hell ‘Deano’ is supposed to mean...”
“Whatever the case-” Deano patted Ferrum, who smiled and let out a trill of, “Char~” “-We at least have to get out of here. I know you want to train, but... could we find you a better place to do that.” Endellion’s eyebrows slightly jumped away from her eyes, something in her face slightly changing. “...”
She was surprised to hear him go on to tell her of a hidden part of the plant, and much more surprise that he was thinking of letting her go and train with Ferrum within it’s halls. Perhaps, she wouldn’t have Ferrum run laps tonight in the park after all. Clever little fire-type.
He grabbed her hand, which made her react like she’d just been touched by fire-itself, almost jumping and blushing rather fiercely. “Hey-” She half sputtered in her surprise as he tugged her over towards his computer. Endellion was rather lost for words, somewhat weirded out. It was something of an odd reaction-she just wasn’t used to people touching her.
Or surprising her.
Ferrum seemed to giggle at her, which she got extremely annoyed at, scowling at the charmander. He continued to quietly chuckle, clinging to Deano’s leg. It was funny when Endellion was flustered and couldn’t seem to find words to yell.
After a moment of typing on the odd machine (Endellion could admit it, she wasn’t quite used to technology as it had developed here in the Aether), something in the room shifted loudly, opening a wall behind them. When Endellion turned to see it rise, she noted the scientist in the door-way. A quick glance at Deano’s face told her... the man was probably his boss.
Damn, and she’d promised him she wasn’t going to get him fired.
Endellion scowled slightly, trying to figure out a better way to get them both out of trouble than punching Deano and sliding under the lab-coat’d man’s feet. She was going to do her damn best to try and make this look good.
She adjusted her uniform’s tie, wiped her sooty hands off on the sides of her pants and stepped forward. “There you are!” She half shouted at the man, waving her arms slightly, looking very, very peeved. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you! I even had to enlist the help of this young man to find you- ... you...” She blustered slightly, red in the face, “Damnit, now I’ve gone and forgotten your name!”
It was time for a bit of social engineering. She turned to Deano and scowled slightly, likely expecting him to blurt out the name of his boss with a loud ‘ma’m to accompany it. Ferrum had scuttled off somewhere, likely hiding. He seemed to get the gist of what Endellion might have been thinking. Endellion could only hope Deano wasn’t completely confused by what she was doing.

[style=font-family: arial; font-size: 9px; text-shadow: #A26AAD 1px 1px 1px; font-size: 9px; color: #FBEC5D]NOW YOU FEEL LIKE NUMBER ONE. SHINING BRIGHT[/style][style=float: left; margin-right: 5px; border: 5px solid #FFD700;][/style] [style=border-left: 10px #FFD700 solid; padding: 5px; font-family: verdana; font-size: 10px; line-height: 100%; text-align: justify; width: 250px;]A drop of sweat rolled down the side of his face, pausing slightly when it reached the chin and finally dropping to the ground. The nervous trainer slowly panted as his eyes examined the scientist that stood before him only a few meters away. The look on his face wasn't one that you'd see often, usually the boss would have a sort of lazy appearance. As Dean had only seen him after work hours, and it would seem that he just finished a long day at work. The glasses looked like they could fall off any time and reveal the anger in his eyes. This wasn't good. Dee could sense some tension in the air, as all of three of them were silent ever since his boss walked through the door. What had he been doing taking the secret entrance path. He remembered when he first came here, the boss himself told the trainer that they only used the pathway for emergency's only. Did the boss already know about Endel breaching the staff-only section of the electrical plant. If so, then how? He heard the girl swear under her breath, guess she was just as surprised as he was. The bat Pokemon who was quietly asleep atop of Dean's head had now awake and eager as can be. He began to flap his wings and fly around the trainer, circles and circles around his body. What was Woobat doing, was he trying to tell me something. Thought Deano, as his eyes tried to keep track of his Pokemon's movements before they stopped a few feet above Endel. Suddenly the girl spoke. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you! I even had to enlist the help of this young man to find you- ... you...”He was smart and wise to what the chick was doing right now, how clever of her to pull a fast one on him. The plan was perfect although now it was up to him to keep up the charade, one false move and it could be all over for the both of them. "It's Mr. Tanaka! Boss what brings you to the inventory station?" He replied hoping that the manager didn't mention anything about the girl. The trainer noticed him let out a small sigh and the anger slightly drifted away and was replaced with a confused look on his face. I came to check and see if inventory was done, and decided to take a short cut through the secret pathway. Who is this girl?"[/color] Damn, now he had to explain who she was and what she was doing here. Everything was so close to being perfect, now his mind wandered to find an answer. He let out a fake laugh, before rubbing his hair down that was recently standing up. Reaching into his pocket, Deano pulled out a piece of green minty gum and started chewing it. Usually he didn't work well under pressure, and that's why he chewed gum to calm him down. Everything was becoming more clear to him and he was able to think better. "This here is Endel, she's come to apply for a job here at the plant." [/style][style=font-size: 8px; font-family: arial;]MADE BY FLIQPY OF LOVESTAMP ![/style] [/center]

Her angry expression simmered down slightly, and she nodded at Deano’s manager. While the confusion on his face only slightly dimmed, the man went on to say rather questioningly, “Endel..”
“Rosia, sir! Endel Rosia.” She said, with a rather well polished show of ‘fake’ respect. Rosia was the best she could find in a fake name, a variation of her acutal last name. It flowed easily off the tongue, and she approached the man, offering him a hand. They exchanged a handshake, her grip rather firm and the other man’s rather... lax. “I was hoping to inquire after a job either as a Mechanic or as part of the Janitorial staff. I was told to wait outside your office, but you’ve seemed rather busy today, sir! I apologize, but my wander lust got the better of me.”
“Uhuh. You’re here to apply for a job?” The man said with slight suspicion, which she replied to with, “I was curious as to what the place I might work in would look like. As far as I’ve seen, it’s a very spectacular setup, sir. It’s very different than from my home in Carpath Reach, but I think I understand this plant’s process. I hope you forgive me, for letting my interest get the better of me. I’d hoped I might find you in my ramble, as it was.”
At this, the man brightened slightly, blinded for a moment by the pride he probably felt after Endellion had gone acting impressed. “Carpath...? That’s over the mountains, isn’t it? How old are yo-”
“Twenty-three, sir! I know I don’t look it. I suffer from a genetic flaw that has stunted and halted my natural growth, thus, making me... appear...” She softly scowled at the floor, “... Twelve.” She continued to stare at the floor, trying to break free of her simmering distaste for even having to explain it..
After she took her moment to regain face, she glanced back up at the manager with a small determined huff and a slight smile, “Sucks finding bars, but, I find there are advantages to being as I am. For example, as I already explained my desire for the position of janitorial staff or mechanic... I can reach places and fit into spots most other people can’t. I can fix anything that’s hard to reach without much trouble, and I fix in crawl spaces better than ‘fully grown people.”
She folded her arms behind her, evoking a sense of being thoughtful, “I admit, this plant is different than the one in my hometown.” She jokingly considered that her own home town had never even had a power plant, but kept talking, “So I wouldn’t be able to fit into the position of mechanic right off the bat. I was hoping to take up a broom and learn a bit more about these machines by day and clean by night.”
Oh hell. She was almost talking actual shop with this poor sucker she was supposed to be lying her pants off too.
She didn’t need a third-job, but the idea of running around with a janitor’s trolley, all alone at night in a power-plant that had pokemon running all about it... Well, damn. That wasn’t a bad idea. Nor was learning about the machines that surrounded her in the plant, so she could easily start figuring out a better way in and out of the plant (for if and when she decided to return...).
... ack.
She had her own duties to attend to. If this actually fell through, she might take the job for the opportunities and drop it the second she knew it was becoming a nuisance to her work with Epispect, her blacksmithing, her duties to her pokemon, or messed with her vows as a Summit Knight... but not before she assured Deano didn’t get kicked.
Thank the great Terrakion she wasn’t in full uniform or running about with Kale today. That would have proved even more difficult to explain to a mere Aetherian, and would have probably lead to some rather odd conversations.
‘So, why are you toting a weapon around, Miss Rosia?’
‘It’s part of my religion, thanks!’
Heh, that would of been really weird.
Endellion realized that Mr. Tanaka seemed to be trying to figure out if she was telling the truth {at least about) her age. That was always somewhat hard to swallow it seemed, even if it was true. It wasn’t like people carried around plastic cards with their ages cemented on them...
“... Oh! Hold on. I’ve got my Pokedex. That should clear things up.” It wasn’t just a trainer’s way to discover pokemon, it was an acutal ID for age, face, name, hometown... for all people who had even once been part of a trade that involved pokemon... Erk, well, she could easily skirt around two of those things. She pulled the red square, and let it do the talking for her.
“... This is unit MARA. Please, clearly verbalize your desired action.”
“Identification, Mara.”
“Yes, Mistress. Endel. Rose. Twenty-three. Hometown, Mist’s Veil.” The electronic picture of her face was... slightly younger, but, it had always been childish and cute. Augh, that needed updating.
She frowned slightly at it when it noted her as ‘rose’, muttering, “Never could get my name right.” That was heartfelt, the thing couldn’t keep the entirety of her first name in it’s databanks, always shortening it to Endel. (Which was massively annoying.) As for the town, she shrugged, “I think that’s the town I was born in... I don’t live there anymore, but then, this thing hasn’t been updated in a while...”
With this, she shut the little red box, dropping it in her pocket. Damn, she hoped that was a convincing conversation. “So, Mr. Tanaka... shall we discuss things further in your office? I’m sure... Denny.. Dan... ... Dean’s been a great help, but, I’m sure,” She paused, glancing backwards, then confirming the name (laughing slightly in her mind), “He’s keen on getting back to whatever he was doing.”
