LET THE WHOLE THING BLOW
B A S I C I N F O
★ NAME: Megumi Okamoto
★ NICKNAME: None
★ MEMBER GROUP: Gijinka
★ POKEMON: Rattata
★ AGE: 21
★ HEIGHT: 5 foot 7 inches
★ WEIGHT: 127 lbs
★ FACE CLAIM: Cécile Croomy from Code Geass
★ APPEARANCE:
Well, Megumi isn't really that distinctive in a crowd or in any group. Megumi is a thin woman, and her skin is quite light in tone. Her hair is a purple color, however in some lights it is seen as an odd strange blue. Her eyes are a light blue color, eyes that reflect her sadness and sorrow. The eyes are indeed quite expressive, but behind them sadness is always reflected. Typically, Megumi will wear different varieties of clothing. As her adoptive mother had given her some of her older clothing, a lot of what Megumi wears is old fashioned clothing (however, old fashioned clothing in the time of this is.... like... not that different I would believe). However, recently Megumi has been getting into wearing the military grade outfit in which had also belonged to her aged and now deceased mother-like-figure.

★ OVERALL PERSONALITY:
Megumi has become quite a quiet individual, as she hasn't talked all that much throughout her life (her deafness didn't help this, due to the fact that she had to learn how to read lips and perfect her speech). Everything she had done so far was so peaceful and personal that it mattered not what she had to say, for if she thought it to herself it had about the same volume to those around her. She really isn't one for speaking up, and can be generalized under those whom are quite shy in comparison to those around her. She really doesn't care if the people around her talk all that much, in fact she likes being talked to and being around people who can't seem to reach an end in their speech. Megumi loves to listen to these people, and will only put in her two cents when she is asked for it.
Megumi really is not enthusiastic about the entire basis of Pokemon training, or the trading of Pokemon DNA, for her only ties with either of this is when she was given the DNA of a Rattata in order to save her life. However, she is quickly coming to the realization that the world around her has already adapted to using these creatures (and their Pokemon forms) as assistants in dealing damage and gaining achievements. She really doesn't like to be generalized as a Gijinka, however she knows that this has become a very widely acceptable terminology. She has yet to hear much about Epispect or Rocket, however fears Epispect (seeing as how she is indeed an illegal gijinka).
Megumi has had little schooling but at the same time is actually quite bright, however the only downside is that she typically doesn't display her brightness as she doesn't talk all too much and is easily confused with mutes or some ignorant being. Megumi cares not to show these people that they are wrong, but to simply flee from them. Megumi cannot stand people whom try to put her down or anything like that, because they remind her that she is indeed not talented in that many things nor would she display her talents if she found she had that many. Megumi has a hate for Team Rocket, for she believes that they ruined her mother's life and in term ruined hers. Now she just wishes to get her mind off of her past, try to find some hobbies and live out the rest of her life. She isn't angry at the virus that changed her and the world around her so much, nor does she look to find her mother once more. All in all, we are looking at a very intelligent quite lady that simply observes those around her instead of indulging in interactions with them. Sounds good, yes?

- Roots
A small baby was born, approximately 21 years ago, in the city of Aether City. Such an area is known for the virus, and all the unpleasant scenery within the city. She was born in this mess, and knew nothing else for the entirety of her life. Her mother was the one whom cared the most for her, whereas her dad loved her to the extent in which he could with his life being occupied with his job. He commuted to the outer regions of the city to work on various different operations. He was quite a good trainer, but he had no time to train at all, and was a full human, like his wife. Megumi, of course, was far too young to understand why her father had to be away for long periods of time each and every day and returned home so cranky. Of course, I know why, as did her mother. Her father's abscenses soon grew more spaced out, and without any direct obvious reason, Megumi and her mother moved across the city. Megumi had no knowledge of the virus or what it did, but at this time she was shelted from the virus very cautiously. Megumi was deaf, and originally only learned sign language. However, her mother wanted to teach her speech, so she was slowly learning to read lips (being only partially deaf, she could still hear some noises, so it was a tad bit easier to adapt to lip reading and proper speech)- Ignorance
She was only one, and had already moved once. Why? Well, as I am indeed taking this from the more direct vision of Megumi, I suppose she had no way of knowing. In fact, she didn't even mind. Her mother was miserable, and now at 2 she could barely even notice. Sadly, it seems to remain true that toddlers cannot come to the senses to detect sadness and grief. I suppose Megumi really couldn't be blamed for her ignorance. For a harshly griefing individual, her mother seemed to do quite a good job at hiding her sadness. She sucked it up and barely cried, and when she did she wouldn't dare let Megumi see. Megumi really only questioned rarely where dad was. Later, Megumi would grow angry at herself for this past. She would ask where dad was and her answer would be, "At work." and then Megumi would have been content with that answer. She hates herself for not asking questions... she hates herself for not even wondering the slightest bit what more of an answer to that simple question there was. But, it would turn out that she would never know. She still doesn't know.- Age 4
Megumi grew to the age of 4, and her life didn't show much difficulty. In fact, nothing in her life seemed to be going in any way wrong. Her mother was recovering from her sadness, perhaps she accepted the fact that she would never see her husband again. Megumi had forgotten her dad. She had not a detail about him in her memory. She could maintain without a dad, and there was no difficulty within that task. Megumi began showing interest in Pokemon training, however Megumi's mother had no experience in that field. She had been a housewife back in their last home, but now in this home she just sat on a laptop all day. She had a little microphone, and she talked and talked. Megumi didn't know what she was doing, but she would sit on the laptop all day. And when she was done, she always looked sickly and pale. Megumi was growing older, and was at least capable of recognizing her lack of focus, and she also came to the realization that she was being held away from the world. She didn't know why, but her mother clearly didn't want her to experience the world. Regardless, she continued her endeavors of learning speech and lip reading. She also learned quite a bit about other things from reading.- Parent Problems..?
Whatever job she was doing made her sick to her stomach. Megumi would find later that she was very engaged in helping others trade Pokemon DNA illegally, and she received income from taking a portion of the cost for the DNA. She would be handed trade proposals, and then find someone to hold up the other side of the deal. This job ate at her concious. She couldn't do her job in her right mind. She submerged herself into a world of drugs to get through the days. Megumi was unsure, but it seemed that she was doing more than just doing these trades. It seemed that she had given herself some DNA, and resorted to more shady operations to feed Megumi and herself. Megumi was 10 when her mom started using these drugs even more. She was scared, but she knew she could do nothing. Her mother often threatened suicide to Megumi, using that as a form of way to make Megumi do what she said. Megumi was informed of a terrible world even this early. At age 13, she couldn't live with her mother anymore. It was too crazy and far too horrible for her to exist through. However, at age 13, she caught the virus.- Cured
Her mother was frantic, and it seemed that she had reached the end of her wits. Megumi thought that living any longer would simply be a waste... it was simply already too hard for her mother to provide for the two of them. Maybe the virus would help her mother in the end. However, within a few hours, Megumi's mother had gotten her hands on the first DNA that she could possibly find, and it was given to Megumi. At this point, the Rattata's DNA destroyed that of the virus, and gave her immunity to the virus. She was happy, however when she learned how much it actually cost her mother... more than they had... she felt incredibly guilty about this.- The New Mother
She ran away from home, as bold as of a move it was. She wrote a letter to her mother and left it there, stating simply that this wasn't her fault. Megumi was far more mature than her age was expected to be, and tried to explain to her mother through this note that it was simply for the best. The last sentence was the hardest to write for Megumi, but she knew it was the truth, "With one less mouth to feed you should be much better off." So, she moved on. Her adoptive mother was an old lady, one that she quickly adapted to calling mother. She was much more secure than her previous mother, and had very little real problems. She could relate to Megumi more than her own mother. In the mind of Megumi, she was a heaven sent.- Now
So, she continued to raise her. With the Pokemon DNA in her system, Megumi went out into the outside world. She feared anyone that opposed illegal Gijinkas, however did not support the trade of DNA. Megumi was 21 when her adoptive parent had died, being attacked by an illegal Gijinka, all of her 12 Pokemon stolen on that day. Megumi was unsure what this mother had done wrong, but she had been killed. She was broken, her emotions a wreck and depression slowly overcoming her. She found another house, however felt as if the world around her continued to crumble. She needed to find something to do, something to get her mind off of her past. She didn't know it would be so... difficult.
(Yeah... this accidentally turned into THAT kind of profile...)
