Ever since he had started sneaking out of the house when he was younger, the man had developed a bit of insomnia and, as a result, he wandered about at night instead of sleeping... when he didn't have a mission, of course. With this sleeping condition of his, he was considered "night crew" at epispect, sent after those pesky illegals 'after hours'. He didn't mind it, in all honesty - he never really had anything better to do. Since the incident, Kairyu had been living on his own, his interaction with his own family now minimal, only occasionally seeing his father around the Epispect facilities since they worked different shifts.
But on a night like this, when he had no missions to do, Kairyu found himself wandering the distant locations of Aether, looking for other targets - things to train his pokemon, and sometimes himself, on. Today's target? The electric plant. His entrance? An old hole in the wall, looking as if some large pokemon had simply bashed their way through the wall, either trying to attack something... or get away from something. Sliding in through the hole, he glanced behind him to make sure his two pokemon were still following, which they were - the Absol having an easier time working her way around fallen rubble than the smaller Shinx.
"Alright guys... you know why we're here. Let's make quick work of this, shall we?" His voice was quiet, barely loud enough for his pokemon to hear, but both made small noises of understanding. Both understood their objective - make quick strikes, leave no opening and waste no time. And here, they would do just that. WILD PONYTA APPEARED! [/style] Ponyta || Female || Run Away || Fire || Level 8 Growl || Tackle || Tail WhipThe Ponyta could feel her exhaustion kicking in with every stride she took. Her chest was heaving from the exertion, her body slick with sweat that matted down her fur so that it turned a disgustingly dark tan color and plastered itself to her body, and she was almost certain that if she stopped running, her legs would be trembling finely... that is, if she didn't collapse completely. But what was it that had the girl so worked up? That was simple. Humans. Humans had her so worked up. She had been minding her own business, her head down as she grazed, ears flicking calmly every now and again... and then the humans had come and started capturing her herd. Frightened, she had done the only thing she knew how to do, and that was run as far and as fast as her legs could carry her. Her breath came out of her in large puffs, the smallest hints of flames tingling on them, though not as much as they might have if she had not been absolutely exhausted. She turned the corner and then her eyes widened, her legs scrambling to skid her to a halt. Other Pokemon were here, and they were flanking a human. Her eyes widened in panic and her breath huffed out of her quickly, borderline hysterical as the fear shone in her eyes. She'd heard the stories of what the humans did to Pokemon. She knew how they were with their stones and their cruel words. She knew... and she was scared. But she was so terrified her knees had locked, holding her still for the human to do whatever he wanted to her. She didn't think things could get any worse...
WILD SLUGMA APPEARED! [/style] Slugma || Male || Magma Armor || Fire || Level 8 Yawn || Smog || EmberSlugma weren't exactly the most liked of creatures. Most people - and Pokemon too for that matter - tended to think of them as wastes of space. Or as egg incubators. The truth was, they had complex lives and social structures! There was an order and a reason to everything they did! There was culture, refinement, society! To be a Slugma was one of the highest honors you could ever receive in life from Arceus! Indeed, this particular Pokemon was a fine example of that high standard of lifestyle, the little lava-like Pokemon slumbering quietly in his little home made from a few blocks of rubble that had fit together to make a rather accommodating abode. He had been to quite the ball earlier in the evening, and as such, he was quite prepared to sleep the night away with the same kind of decorum that his species naturally possessed. Or at least, that was the plan until he was untimely roused by the sound of footsteps over his home. Cracking open a single eye, he quietly contemplated if he wanted to merely ignore the gross injustice before shaking his head and crawling out of his home. A Slugma of his caliber would not just simply let such a thing slide, and as such, he was duty-bound to at least investigate what had so rudely interrupted his sleep. Poking his head out, eyes half-lidded with sleep, he found himself starting at the sight of the Ponyta skidding to a stop, her eyes wide and flames dancing around her from her snout. What was this? A lady in distress? This violated the Slugma code! He was honor-bound to defend her! Puffing himself up, he quickly slid down the rocks to place himself between the beautiful lady and her attackers, glaring at them determinedly. He would not allow harm to come to her... though he certainly wouldn't be the one to throw the first blow. That was horribly crass, and no matter how much he might have preferred to try to get the first blow in, that would have to wait as it could very well be that these people would leave in peace when they saw his power.
OOC: Pshhhhhh, yeah right, power. XD So I got you a scared Ponyta and a crazy cultured Slugma. Yay *shot* Anyhoo, if there's anything wrong here (or you just want some more serious mon), just let me know and I'll do my best to change that for you!
