My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Supposedly, the forest was haunted - cold and filled with ghosts or monsters. More importantly, it was almost impossible to see in said forest, due to a heavy fog. It wasn't as if that mattered to Angeline, who couldn't see even if there was no fog at all. The forest was good for that, in truth, because it meant she could explore freely, the same way she did anywhere else, and the only hindrances were things a normal person couldn't see anyway. That wasn't to say she was alone, or anything. Far from it - atop her shoulder sat a little green ball of goo, a Soliosis watching her as she walked through. He couldn't see, but he could communicate easily enough. From his spot, he could sense any pokemon who got to close, and Angeline was already used to checking ahead as she walked. He could alert her to any gaps, too, or overly large roots. ~Root~, came the pokemon's message, and Angeline adjusted, turning as she walked to avoid it. She was out looking for pokemon, eager to find any, and she smiled mostly to herself as she went, alone at last. The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Hoppip || Male || Leaf Guard || Grass / Flying || 06 Splash || Synthesis || - - - || - - - || Float~ Float~ Float~ Really, what else could the little pink ball do?
The Hoppip floated on the vague currents of air, seeming to fly but not really as he bounced along. He was a shining beacon of bright neon colour in this dull and dreary place, filled with fog that blinded just about everybody who dared enter. He wasn’t actually floating, but he was light enough to ride on the air currents whenever they came. As soon as his little feet touched the dusty ground, he’d spring right back up and continue on his way in search of some other Pokemon, maybe. Or something interesting. Or food.
But what was that up ahead? The Hoppip squinted through the fog, floating his way over until he finally grabbed hold of the branch of a nearby tree and peered down at them. They looked like quite an interesting duo; a Soliosis and a female human with very pale hair, wandering aimlessly through the wood. Oh, now that wouldn’t do, would it?
”Hop~ Hoppip~” These woods are dangerous! He called from his place in the trees, hoping they’d hear.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Angeline couldn't see the pink blob, but her pokemon could, and the little soliosis moved, shifting against Angeline's shoulder to indicate she should move down. She was right about to ask what it was when she heard the little voice, and it was clear enough what kind of pokemon it was. Mentally, she referenced back, before deciding that no, it wasn't the sort of pokemon she'd want to catch. It was all wrong, after all - it ended up blue. The Soliosis drifted up, hanging in the air just in front of Angeline as it prepared itself for... what? The hoppip didn't seem to be attacking, at least, and he wasn't sure what Angeline wanted just yet. "Apologies, little hoppip, but you are not the sort of pokemon I'd like to capture. You can go on your way, if you wish." She said, making her intentions rather clear. The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Hoppip || Male || Leaf Guard || Grass / Flying || 06 Splash || Synthesis || - - - || - - - || The Hoppip peered down from the branches as the Soliosis floated up in front of the human. They shouldn’t get any closer, or else they might get lost in the forest and never come out. Oh how bad the little pink Pokemon would feel if that happened. However, in his distraction, he didn’t notice how there was a shadow that lurked in the bushes just a few feet away from the tree. Said shadow watched the pink ball closely, waiting for it to come down.
”Hophop!” You must go! The little Hoppip bounced, floating slowly down to the ground to further convey his warning. He began to jump towards the girl who didn’t seem to want to leave, judging by her tone. He was just about to cry out again, telling her that she and her Pokemon must go, when a shadow loomed over him.
He shrieked, and then everything was gone.
WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Houndour || Female || Flash Fire || Dark / Fire || 07 Leer || Ember || Howl || - - - || The Houndour stooped low in the bushes, having followed the bouncing pink ball for over an hour now. She had been separated from her pack and now, she needed food. Unfortunately, hunting alone was never as efficient, and for the past few days, she had barely been able to pick up a Rattata. The Hoppip happened to float by, looking round and plump and easy picking, and so she’d followed him until he met ground just long enough for her to pounce.
She was focused, extremely so, and she barely acknowledged the human and the green blob that the Hoppip seemed to be warning to. She’d deal with those later… And there was her chance! As soon as the Hoppip floated to the ground, beginning to bounce towards the human, the Houndour pounced, coming down on the vulnerable pink ball with a ferocity.
The fire-dark type bit down, tearing through flesh and bone until the Hoppip stopped shrieking and struggling. Poor thing, he died such a horrible death, but it was to feed her. The Houndour lowered her head, growling at the human female and her Soliosis; this was her food, and they weren’t getting any of it. She wasn’t going to take any chances either, and decided to drive them away.
A couple of Embers were shot right at the human girl.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Angeline wasn't expecting it, wasn't expecting the growl, or the sound of movement as the houndour lept from the bush. She couldn't be sure what it was, only that it was some sort of dog, but her soliosis filled her in as her ears were filled with the shrieks of the hoppip. ~Houndour~, came the little voice in her head, and suddenly she understood what was happening. The little beast was eating the hoppip! Angeline wasn't even aware that it had shot an ember at you, but the soliosis was, moving in front of her and taking the blow. She heard that, at least, registering what was happening too late. "Soliosis, take him out!" It was, in truth, probably too late for the hoppip - but she could at least stop the other pokemon from eating him. It was a bad type matchup, in truth, because dark would normally beat psychic - only she knew her soliosis wasn't going in blank. He had a secret weapon, and rapidly went for it. "Use rollout!" She called, and the green ball moved to do so, launching himself towards the houndoor. The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Houndour || Female || Flash Fire || Dark / Fire || 07 Leer || Ember || Howl || - - - || The Houndour snarled as the Soliosis came down, blocking the ember for his trainer and seeming to scowl right back at her. The fire-dark type lowered her head even further, snarling as she stood over her fallen prey, determined not to be bested. She wanted to stand her ground, even if she were separated from her group, until she found them again. That was until the green blob came rolling at her at high speed, going too fast and crashing into her side.
The dog yelped as she was flung backwards, landing hard and stumbling back to her feet. That damned human and her little trained monster wasn’t going to be defeating her. Lifting her head, the duel fire-dark type let out a howl, sending a small flock of nearby Pidove flying off into the distance. It pumped her up, raised her attack, and she was more than ready to go.
Opening her mouth, the Houndour spit more embers at the duo, hoping to get them to go away so she could eat in peace.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone The howl was chilling - a haunting sort of thing that left Angeline on edge. The forest no longer seemed like such a good idea, but she was forced to be confident that her soliosis would win. It had the type advantage, unless the dog could bite properly. It was possible the dog was biting, but she honestly didn't think so. The sounds it were making were the sorts made when a fire was started, not when teeth came together. She could understand that, at least, and her soliosis was smart enough to know how to fight mostly on it's own. It did - mostly because it just kept on doing the same thing. It shot forward as the dog howled, continuing it's earlier rollout. Each time was only getting stronger, and it wouldn't be long before it would land a striking blow. Even as the green blob was hit with an ember (which was, simply put rather annoying), it simply spun around, going back for it's third rollout. WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Houndour || Female || Flash Fire || Dark / Fire || 07 Leer || Ember || Howl || - - - || The embers the dark dog shot forward didn’t seem to phase the Soliosis one bit. Perhaps it did, but it definitely didn’t show, and the green blob continued to spin forward at high speed. The Houndour stepped back in shocked surprise as the Soliosis came dangerously close, unable to step out of the way on time of the oncoming rollout.
The Soliosis hit the dark type hard, sending her flying back and landing hard. She practically scraped half her skin off on the ground, finally stopping in a heap a few feet away. Now that hurt, and as she got up, the Houndour found herself shaking on her feet. Rollout seemed to get more and more powerful with each hit.
She stood there, shaking and growling, barely on her feet and looking like she’d fall over dead at any moment. The dark-fire type was surviving off sheer willpower, and that was it.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Her attack had gone well. The houndour was obviously on it's last legs, and Angeline wasn't going to just let it fall. Her hand dropped into one of the pockets hidden in her dress, drawing out an empty pokeball. Each of her pokeballs had a series of little dots on it - each marked so she could tell them apart. Finding her third pokeball, she pulled it out. It wasn't hard to work out where it was - the growling made it clear, and as her soliosis launched forward in it's fourth and fifth rollouts, unable to stop himself. It didn't matter, however, as Angeline tossed her pokeball, stopping the attack that way. She had no intention of keeping the murderous beast... but someone would want it, and there was no way she was leaving it out there. The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

HOUNDOUR was caught! WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Chikorita|| Male || Overgrow || Grass || 08 Tackle || Growl || Razor Leaf || - - - || A little green Pokemon slowly made her way through the smatterings of dried up grass, dead bushes and dying trees. It was awfully lonely out here in the woods, though she’d heard that there were sometimes strange things that happened here. Being curious and possibly too brave for his own good, the Chikorita made his own way, following the unbeaten path.
But the unbeaten path was sure easy to get lost in. The Chikorita had wandered for perhaps a day, lost in and out of the lonely woods and unable to find anything interesting at all. Finally, having given in, he began to seek the old path instead of something fabulous and new. Thankfully, that trail wasn’t so hard to find and he began to follow it, only to soon hear a large commotion…
Running up ahead, he came just in time to see a Houndour being surrounded by a bright light, then disappearing inside a ball. Even more curious now, the Chikorita edged up a few feet… Only to be sent flying into the air by an overzealous rollout from a Soliosis he didn’t even notice. He was sent flying, landing with a thud and thankfully, the fall was softened by a bush.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone She didn't even want to touch the damn things pokeball. She didn't want to touch something that had killed so easily, but she was going to have to anyway. Her Soliosis, content with it's victory, swooped down to retrieve the pokeball, floating back up to deliver it into Angeline's hands. Even though it was stupid, she tucked that pokeball into a completely different pocket from the rest. Yes, she'd never actually pulled the wrong one, but there was always a first time, and the thing was probably going to be mad at her. It was only after she had the pokeball in hand that the soliosis actually informed her of what she'd missed. ~I think I hit something~. It took her a moment to realize what it meant - that it's rollout had made contact, and she tilted her head, slightly edgy as the soliosis floated closer to the ground, edging towards the bushes. "Hello?" She called, suddenly unsure. Was it another pokemon? Or had Soliosis only hit a rock? The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Chikorita|| Male || Overgrow || Grass || 08 Tackle || Growl || Razor Leaf || - - - || ”Chiii…” Now that hurt! Even though his landing was softer than it should’ve been because he landed in some half-living bushes, it still hurt! What Soliosis sure was overzealous, now was he? The Chikorita slowly began to wiggle out of the bush, picking sticks and various barbs and thorns off him when he heard someone coming… Probably the human and the Soliosis, and he quickly began to wiggle harder. He needed to get out of this bush!
And as if he were being pushed, he suddenly popped out of the bush and landed with a thud with minimal effort on his part. ”Chika…” Damn, things were out to get him today, weren’t they? Slowly, he got to his feet and shook off whatever dirt there just happened to be on his fine green fur. Now… to deal with this crazy lady and her Soliosis.
”Chi! Chika!” Lady, what is wrong with your Pokemon? He quickly chirped in a fury, waving his one leg and jabbing it in the direction of the floating green blob. She couldn’t just let her Pokemon run around and attack people, could she?

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Solosis was more then a little apologetic about what had happened. It rolled right on over, squishing it's jellyball self into Angeline's leg in what was fairly close to a hug. It wasn't coherent enough to be understood as words, but the idea of being sorry and apologetic was coming through fairly strongly, and it was only getting stronger as the pokemon snuggled into her leg. Apparently, what he'd hit was a chikorita. That was a cute pokemon, wasn't it? Only Angeline was feeling more then a little guilty. She considered trying to pet it, before deciding against it. She couldn't tell clearly if it was really upset, only that it was at least partially upset...and definitely didn't want to lose a finger. She straightened up, giving the pokemon a little nod. "We're really sorry about that. We didn't realize anyone was there." She explained softly. "We'll be leaving you alone, though."It was a bit awkward to walk away with a solosis latched to her leg, but she managed. The morning rain clouds up my window And I can't see at all

WILD POKEMON APPEARED! [/style] Litwick || Male || Flame Body || Fire / Ghost || 10 Ember || Astonish || Minimize || Smog || Fire Spin || Confuse Ray || A small flame could be seen in the woods, perfectly still, perhaps balanced atop a small branch. It didn’t even look like a flame from that distance; only a faint, eerie glowing dot. Perhaps it was a candle that somebody left behind?
The Litwick knew better though, and smiled faintly to himself. He felt it tonight; he’d heard what the Pidgey had to say, and that there were humans in the woods. Well, one human and her Soliosis, but that would do. The Litwick giggled quietly, staying perfectly still atop the branch, hoping to lure them closer. He needed more life energy, and a human hadn’t come in a long time.

My tea's gone cold, I'm wondering why I got out of bed alone Angeline left the Chikorita behind her without much trouble, and after a bit more walking, the soliosis let go, detaching from her leg as he rolled a bit away, moving to carry on in front of her. To someone else, the little light would have been a wonderful siren song. For Angeline, though, she simply couldn't see it. Any attempts to lure her with a flame weren't going to do anything, and even her solosis almost completely missed the flame, carrying on to wander the wrong way. They were still nearby, but it wasn't until they had almost missed the flame that the little green ball finally noticed. ~Light~, came the mental image, and the green pokemon shifted up to peer at the little flame. ~Stay~ came the order, and with Angeline remaining still, he headed towards the light himself.
