WILD BELDUM APPEARED! [/style] Beldum || Genderless || Clear Body || Steel / Psychic || Level 9 || Take Down ||
Wriggle Wriggle... Wriggle...
~*PING*~
Belum was Captured!
WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Dark, powerful, graceful. Absol showed every one of those qualities as she leapt from ledge to ledge down the mountain, a flash of pale grey against brown and green. A closer look would reveal her to not be quite as whole as it would appear at a distance. She'd been roughed up. Her fur was tuffed up around a well hidden red splash of color on her shoulder, and the curved horn rising from the side of her head had a brand new notch. It would heal, but she would need time, and rest, and safety.
She supposed that was what she got for attempting to take a short cut, as she traveled through the mountainous region. She'd been heading for the ocean, and wanted to shorten the amount of time it would take... and so she'd met Dragons. Only her superior speed had kept her alive, and now she was running. And running. And running. She was becoming tired.
"Souuuul..." Absol called softly as she leapt again, and her injury sent a spike of pain down her body. She needed a rest. Just for a moment, and then she'd continue. The next ledge... she leapt... and made it! She froze.
There was a human there! Perhaps even more dangerous than a Dragon. Her body went low, and she prepared to either flee the moment he turned his back, or fight.
OOC: Feel free to add some time between Magnus's capture of Beldum and his run in with Absol.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, There was a faint pause, the Pokeball slowly rocking against his hand on the grass before going still. A click was heard, and the thing was sealed with a new inhabitant. A Beldum, which would evolve into a Metang, which will evolve into a Metagross... basically, a psychic floating armoured tank. Not bad, not bad at all... Magnus smiled faintly to himself, mulling it over as he picked the ball up and slipped it into his trouser pocket. He'd have to think about where to go next though... he certainly wasn't ready to head back down yet. It hadn't been long in the mountains, and he was ready to continue and think... "And on my brow, a barren crown..." And he started again, a different play this time as he hiked further into the hills. Further and further up he went, not knowing exactly where it would lead him, but memorizing the way back until he came upon the more wooded areas, with trees sending their roots over and under boulders. No more rest for him, but how would he got over those, if it was worth it at all? Staring up at the tops of the giant rocks, everything was still. He could make the bare and hard outlines of the boulders, and then the softer ones of the foliage growing on top... and there was something else. Something moved, just a bit, and then went still. Blue eyes squinted, watching that movement, seeing an almost serene arc that definitely wasn't a branch, but high enough to be one. "Are you there, Juliet, my dove?" He didn't feel like breaking his poetry as abruptly as he had done with the Beldum. That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Absol didn't have very much experience with humans, tending to circle far around their settlements, but even she knew it was odd when her presence was answered with nonsensical words, said almost as if in song. For a moment, she was completely distracted from the pain of her wound, and tilted her head in confusion at the odd human she shared the dark with. Her eyes gathered light and gleamed brightly as she examined him even closer. Could he even see her? Did he mistake her for another human?
"Souuuuul," She warned him away cautiously, but her adrenaline surge was wearing off and allowing her pain to flare up, and her tone cracked at it's height. She was going to have to find somewhere nearby to rest and hide, but not as long as the human remained in sight. She took a hard, loud, threatening, step forward, and then one more, further into the pale light. A harsh jerk of her head showed off her still wickedly sharp blade, and then added a frightening LEER that brightened her eyes beyond what their natural reflective quality could do. She hoped to scare the human off before a real fight started that she couldn't win so soon after the last. It was probably for his best anyway. These mountains were dangerous.
"Absouul." Go away.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, For a couple of long minutes, everything went quiet again. The shadow that he thought had moved didn’t budge another inch, and the forest resumed their natural sounds of fain Pidgy calls and the far-off warning roar of something big and dangerous telling something else to get off it’s territory. He was about to leave it at that, backing off from the shadows and going his own way when he swore he saw another movement... Then another, and another. The faint syllables of sound reassured him that yes, he didn’t eat something funny and there was definitely something or another there. The bright gleam of red eyes, following a shine along a crescent curve and he could almost think of what it was. A pokemon; a certain dark type that tended to predict ominous occurrences, according to myth and legend that he never cared for. A faint shiver ran up his spine as her eyes shone down on him, leering as he stood there, isolated in the woods. However, even if it was sort of dim, he could make out what looked like long, red streaks along her fur. That certainly didn’t look good. ”Ah, you don’t look quite so well.” He called out to the Absol. He was unafraid for the time being, and if anything, he had his other Pokemon to come to his defense. That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Absol's Leer faded, and disappointment replaced the attempt at intimidation in her eyes, though not as visibly to the human. She had expected him to run. Some humans had that reaction to her species, for reasons she didn't understand. Yet he remained strong. mostly. He had shivered, just a little bit, but aside from that, she couldn't see any other sign that he was afraid of her in the slightest. Why not?!
That was a problem, and she couldn't afford to stand about any longer. There were too many predators on that mountain, that waited for a Pokmeon like her to come along, slowed by injury. The human himself was the least of them. The more she exerted herself, the more blood welled up and out of her wound to color her fur. She couldn't run, and she didn't want to fight, so he would have to go. She would just have to be a tad more forceful. "Sooouuuuul," She answered his unshaken comment with another warning, but did bend her neck to check the wound and give what she could reach a careful lick. His voice had sounded worried, but she wasn't falling for it.
Turning back to him, her eyes went ablaze in another LEER-ing stare, and she began to approach, head dipped and angled so that, if he didn't back away, her horn would pierce his flesh. She slashed it, just an inch, to make it more clear that he was not welcome. She hoped he would just retreat, and they would not have to fight. But... if he did... well; she predicted his total, but gentle, defeat. She wasn't without mercy, and did not cause harm simply because she could.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, He watched carefully, eyeing the creature as it slunk closer and closer towards him. The Absol did, indeed, look injured now that he was closer. There was a metallic scent in the air, along with the long streaks of red along the normally white fur. He didn’t the condition the Pokemon was in, the scent prevailing that this was probably a bad omen anyway. Absols were useful things, so he thought. They had an intimidation factor and grew to be rather fast and agile; something he could use. And if not, he could give it to Conrad when he went back… a sort of apology for leaving all those years, though he doubted it would help at all. He tilted his head as the dark type approached, seeming to want to intimidate him to leave. That wouldn’t do; Magnus was never one to run from a situation, but fight it tooth and nail. Another leer was sent in his direction, but it wasn’t just taken this time. Magnus returned the favour with a Glare, his own blue eyes flashing in the dim light. His brow furrowed for just a second, not backing down from the advancing crest. If it come much too close, he could probably counter it or avoid it. He didn’t need help for this one, but if worse came to worse, he’d perhaps have his new Beldum. That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Closer and closer she crept, eyes hardened in determination to drive off the potential predator, horn still angled to slide right through him with the smallest of thrusts. She was injured, but it was just a human, and she could still hurt him if she really had to. And at this point, if he refused to move and flee as she kept telling him to, he would have no one to blame but himself if he was harmed. That thought made her feel a tad better.
Unfortunately, the closer she came, the more attention she began to pay to his face, and the miniscule facial expressions and changes in stance that all added up to one thing. He was not going to run. She grumbled angrily and flicked her horn, managing a small jab, but still not close enough to actually reach him. The flash of blue across human eyes that met her own was unexpected, and brought her to a slow, surprised stop. A Pokemon power? How did tha-
Something was wrong. Her feet weren't moving! "Sooooooul! Her cry was louder than she would have liked, heightened by both surprise and sudden fear at her helplessness. For a few moments, her body shook with the effort to free itself from the human's power, and each second felt like an hour. When she came free, she stumbled forward a step... then another, not on accident, her horn aimed down toward the man's feet.
It was of course, a FEINT. The moment he moved out of her 'accidental' attack, she'd abandon her show of weakness and slice up at his face with her horn much closer. She recognized the man as one of those strange humans, with powers he didn't deserve and would probably be used to capture her. It was serious now.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, The glare did exactly what it was supposed to do; for several seconds, the poor Absol seemed to freeze dead in her tracks. Magnus tilted his head to the side in faint amusement, but maybe that was a bit cruel on its own. It wasn’t like he wanted to hurt the Pokemon, but by the way it was mock charging him like that, she seemed to leave him little choice. Besides, she was injured and he could probably take her down with little issue. Absols were useful creatures as well… And though he might not want her for himself, he still needed a gift for Conrad. A sort of ‘sorry’ for coming back after eight years of ambiguity. But the Absol stumbled forward and aimed down at his feet. For a second, Magnus wasn’t even sure what she was doing, moving so slowly it was almost worrying. Paralysis, plus her injuries, probably wasn’t helping her whatsoever. Magnus’ brow furrowed and he sidestepped the attack easily enough, now standing slightly off to the side of the Absol. ”I suggest you calm down.” His voice wasn’t very threatening… but it conveyed an air of no-nonsense. He wasn’t joking when he spoke with such a domineering, patronizing tone. ”You’re injured, and you don’t want to get hurt any more than you are.” That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Okay. Maybe the injury had been a little more severe than she'd originally thought. The realization struck her, as her legs seized and her Feint was dodged with disgusting ease, that she'd run hard and fast after taking that strike from the Dragon, higher in the mountains. How much blood had she lost, leaping up the mountain from rock to rock, before finding the dangerous man before her?
Absol jerked her head angrily at the human after he moved from the range of her blade, "Soul!" Her legs... move! MOVE! Miraculously, they did as she wished, if only for a few seconds, and she quickly backed away from the tall blonde while she had the chance. Only a few feet in distance was put between her and the man before her legs, and much of the rest of her body, froze once more. Her belly hit the dirt with a thump.
"Ab...ab...Soul..." Absol began to pant harshly. She was indeed at the center of a lot of bad luck that day. Unfortunately it was all her own. She strained to move, glaring furiously at the human, daring him to take a step closer, but the only sign of the loosing battle with her own body was the further spread of a red stain through her white fur.
So much for a show of weakness.
Ooc: Let's hope this post is better and doesn't make me cringe upon rereading. Also... I'm having terrible luck with the Rng. Stupid Paralysis. >.<

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, Magnus eyed the Absol with great wariness, watching just as she watched him back. He didn’t trust her as far as he could throw her, and even with the Seviper DNA, he didn’t quite have the strength to toss her more than a few feet. He clenched his jaw and watched as the Absol began to back off a little, but soon fell. She practically collapsed into the dirt, her fur along her back more red than white now. Magnus’ jaw clenched once again, his hands balling into fists as he watched. Finally, deciding that he’d be done with it, Magnus took a Pokeball from his belt and tossed it into the air, catching it with one hand. That thing, no matter how much she seemed to hate him, needed some help. He wasn’t usually the compassionate sort, but he might’ve needed this one if he’d ever hope for Conrad to forgive him. ”Unfortunately, you’re coming with me.” He said it with an air of resolution; his mind was made up. WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||She was proud, and Absol could admit it. She hated the look in the human's eye as he looked at her, standing high as she lay in the dirt. The only thing he had working in his favor at that moment was the fact that he hadn't actually attacked yet. She considered herself lucky that he was the type of human to want a fair fight... until he pulled the Pokeball from his belt. Her eyes widened, and a low warning sound ripped from her throat. "Sooooooul!" She rose to her feet, unsteady, but moving again, powered by desperation or luck. Whatever it was, she could only hope it would carry her a little longer. She would not be taken without a fight, rooted in place.
Before her own pain could beat her back down, Absol threw herself into movement, determined to make her last stand count for something. There was little space between her in the human, and it worked in her favor, as she would not do too much further damage to herself by crossing a longer distance. Darting in close, she rose with a cry of pain to her hind legs and lashed out with one paw in a SCRATCH attack. Falling back down, the vibration felt like a punch to her injury, and it was pure willpower that kept her legs from folding beneath her. She hobbled back a step, and tried another FEINT, dragging her horn in a slicing movement at the human's upper body.
All her strength left her as the neck movement required for such an attack drew her into a dizzy spin, and she moved unsteadily toward the ground once again, moaning. "Soooul. Ab... absooooul." She only hoped that it would be enough. She would look, to see the state she'd left the human in, but her vision was dimming.
ABSOL IS AVALIABLE FOR CAPTURE!
Ooc: This... might be the first post I've liked with Absol since before my 12-day absence. Yay for last stands.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, Magnus’ previous confidence had returned, but he didn’t quite feel like it left in the first place. His jaw tightened a little, however, as the Absol seemed to slowly rise to her feet. Whether she was still paralyzed or not was up for debate, but Magnus knew he had to work quickly or else it would be a longer waiting game. He didn’t quite like to wait… However, her scratch attack came in a little quicker than he had anticipated. Magnus recoiled, but surely not quick enough and he felt the fabric rip along his sleeve where the Absol’s claws made contact. Now he’d need a new damn uniform, and he liked this one too… His lips pulled back over his teeth in an involuntary snarl, but he was ready for the feint attack and fell back and away. Magnus grabbed the first Pokeball he felt in his pocket, moving as quickly as his Seviper DNA lent him, and tossed it towards the once-again collapsed Absol. That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD ABSOL APPEARED! [/style] Absol || Female || Super Luck || Dark || Level 11 || Scratch || Feint || Leer || Taunt ||Absol was barely conscious when the man's Pokeball struck her. It bounced off her bloodied form and then drew her in as red energy, sealing her away and taking away her pain. That, at least, she would be grateful for.

Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, Who is already sick and pale with grief, Magnus watched with what seemed like very little interest as the Absol disappeared into the Pokeball. It wiggled for some time, possibly because she still had some fight left in her despite her injury, but it soon went still. Stooping over, feeling a slight crack between his shoulders and the tenseness of muscle as he did so, he scooped the Pokeball up and wiped the dirt off the underside. It’ll do. He’d have to heal the Absol, and then perhaps try to get it halfway tame before giving it to Conrad. He slipped the capsule into his pocket, blinking up at the sky. It was still cloudless, as far as he could see… And though the stars weren’t out, the moon sure was. He sighed, almost in a miserable manner, before pushing on deeper into the woods. He knew he needed to turn back soon, or else he’d be lost out here and unable to sign in for work the next day. He’d heard the new guy in charge of all their reports had a stick up his ass, but nothing had been late enough from him to confirm it yet. He made it to the top of a ridge, lost in his thoughts; below him was a spiral of variously sized boulders. It looked like the aftermath of a rock slide, really… Still, curious about it, he stared down into the abyss and wondered what the heck could be down there at all. That thou her maid art far more fair than she: Be not her maid, since she is envious;

WILD SLUGMA APPEARED! [/style] Slugma || Male || Flame Body || Fire || Level 5 || Yawn || Smog || Ember ||Not from the moment he'd first oozed from the melted remnants of his egg had Slugma stopped moving. He was born with the knowledge that to do so was to cool and harden, crack and shrink, and the superheated blob of magma feared it like nothing else. Since then, never once had he been forced to stop. Now it was a matter of pride, to keep going, no matter what lay in his path. Everything would burn eventually.
Slugma crawled lazily up through the cracks bewteen great fallen boulders, easily squeezing through and then continuing on up the side of a ridge, lurching forward to keep himself sticking when gravity tried to pull him down. A trail of merrily burning flames were left in his wake, to mark his trail brightly in the dark. Body bubbling and sizzling, once he arrived at the top he rolled over onto flatter earth, and his glowing yellow eyes almost completely withdrew into his middle as he redistributed his body.
Then Slugma saw the human... and blinked with lazy interest as he slowly curved toward the shadow for a better look.
Would the human move? Would he run? Hide? Fight? Slugma did hope he wouldn't burn.
