I am confident but I still have my moments BABY, THAT'S JUST ME [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Even if she'd heard the rumors about a forest guardian, she was still elated to be in the forest, on a hunt for her first ever pokemon. Her parents had gotten her her things, explaining that as a gijinka, she could catch her own pokemon. It made her sad, still, thinking of the fact that she had to hide being a gijinka from everyone. She loved her abilities, and lightning was just so darn awesome! She smiled to herself, as she shouldered her bag and felt the pokeball at her side. Catching a pokemon, and battling it all on her own...so exciting! She knew it would probably hurt to be attacked by a pokemon. But she'd play fought with other gijinka, and that had probably felt about as bad. It was something she would have to grin and bear, because she really wanted her own pokemon for her team. Plus, she wouldn't feel very good if she made pokemon battle, and was too much of a wimp to battle for her first one!
She didn't really care for the mist, thick and foreboding. It made certain parts of this forest eerie, and she wanted to be able to actually see the pokemon before it saw her, and get the jump on it. All was fair in battles, right? Or maybe not. But she'd never done this before and she was hoping to at least be somewhat tactful about it. Her friend had told her that it was a good idea to try and surprise the pokemon rather than being unpleasantly surprised. A fellow illegal gijinka, he had already gotten his first. It was a really nice looking growlithe, and he was a water type gijinka...so it was a lucky capture for sure. She only hoped she was as lucky!
She wasn't the fondest of bug types, but there was a certain one she wanted badly. She was actually really hoping for a dark type, or maybe a fire type. Were there fire types in here? Even a normal type might be okay. Well, who knew? She was willing to bet there were grass and bug types in here, definitely. Whatever else...she'd have to find out. The mist was not making it easy, though.
She came out into a clearing, and the mist wasn't as thick here. In fact, not as thick at all! She sat down on a tree stump, looking around. She could see how some might find the forest scary. It was, a bit. But she was here on a mission, and that made her fail to take notice of it as much. She was so excited and eager to meet her first pokemon, maybe one she wanted to catch, that she hadn't really noticed until now. Even now, the excitement overrode the slight feeling of being somewhere alone, and eerie. Hopefully this panned out like she wanted it to, and she met a pokemon or two!

WILD COMBEE APPEARED! [/style] Combee || Male || Hustle || Bug/Flying || Level 6 Sweet Scent || GustBusy busy busy, Combee never ceased to be. And he loved it! It was unfathomable to his work oriented mindset, a day without work, without the mist clinging to his rapidly flicking wings, and the soft comforting hum of his Hive mates as they searched for honey by his side. Above in buds that grew froms trees, below in the small flower patches, they were always there for him, just in ear shot. Soon they would even have a real Vespiquen to lead!
In preparation for her expected evolution, the Hive was twice as thick in the forest today, but more spread out than was normal. Their usual honey gathering spots were becoming over harvested, and that meant they had to look elsewhere until their favored flower fields recovered. Happily content worker Combee that he was, he had no problem with a little extra flight!
With his Hive's comforting hum fading behind him, Combee dipped and spun through the air excitedly. His own buzz rose and fell in pitch as he did, and the social Pokemon slipped between the tree trunks and up through their branches with a graceful, practiced ability that his clunky body shape wouldn't suggest.
"Beeeezz!" Surprised, Combee pushed out of a thick mist into clearer air, and his body wobbled before he regained his bearings. What was this?! The usual haze was not muffling his senses. And he smelled honey! Buzzing loudly for his Hive mates, forgetting momentarily that they were far out of range by now, Combee twisted in the air, all six eyes in a roving search for the source of that wonderfully sweet scent.
There! A splash of pale gold atop a stump. The color of honey, or close enough that he had to look to be sure. His already drying wings beat the air as the tiny bug type swept down, buzzing loudly in his excitement. Aimed at the gold, he prepared to dive in and press his faces against the honey, and hopefully get in a little taste while he was at it. Look out.
"CommbeeeeE!"

I am confident but I still have my moments BABY, THAT'S JUST ME [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
She found the forest to be quite empty of other people. Not that she'd really expected to run into people here. Nor did she mind that she hadn't. It would have meant, likely, competition for whatever pokemon were here. After all, what else would anyone be here for, if not for pokemon? Besides, it was exciting, being here on her own. Adventuring, as she liked to think of it. Still, she was keeping a sharp eye open for pokemon, or people. What she didn't think was that a pokemon might come from above.
She had been looking around at ground level, when all of a sudden, something landed on her head. Having been concentrating and not expecting it, she gave a shout of surprise, and flailed her arms wildly to shoo it off. She was sure whatever it was was some kind of pokemon, and whirled around, trying to see it. She caught a glimpse of bright yellow, and six pairs of eyes. What in the name of the legendary pokemon was this? She took a startled step backward, eyeing the pokemon. She was used to knowing the kinds, but this one was new to her. Or at least she could not recall the name right away.
She fumbled quickly, pulling out her pokedex, and aiming, still stepping backwards. A combee? The voice from the pokedex, mechanical, began to speak.
'Combee, the flying and bug type pokemon. Combee is a trio that is together from birth. They gather gather honey from flowers to bring back to their colony, led by vespiqueen.'
She didn't like the sound of that. Where was the colony of this one? Would there be more nearby? She hadn't really expected the first pokemon she met might mistake her for a flower! Or was it honey...her hair was golden, all right. And did resemble the color of honey. She began to feel nervous, and took another step backward. She didn't need to run into more of these--especially not if she'd startled this one.
"Okay...sorry about that..." she said, stepping backwards slowly. She didn't really want to battle it and catch it, so the other option was to flee before it brought friends. She could run pretty fast, and she didn't want it to give chase, either! By now it knew she wasn't a flower, or honey, right? She hoped so, because this was her cue to turn tail, as it were, and go. She took a few more tentative steps backward, keeping her eyes fixed on the six eyes of the combee, and slipping her pokedex back into the pouch it had been in, zippering it up. All the while, she had her gaze fixed on the pokemon. Would it try to follow her, or let her be? She wasn't sure, but as she neared the corner she'd come around, she quickly ducked behind it, hoping it would leave. Why did her first encounter have to be with a bug pokemon?

WILD COMBEE APPEARED! [/style] Combee || Male || Hustle || Bug/Flying || Level 6 Sweet Scent || GustNot a flower! NOT honey! The closer inspection from within the 'not honey' quickly revealed that now obvious fact. It didn't smell like honey, and more importantly, didn't taste like honey. In fact it tasted rather bad, and the instant he realized what he'd done, Combee began fighting to extract himself from the trap.
"Combeeeeee!" The worker bee buzzed plaintively, working his insect wings three times as hard as he'd been during the happy dart through the forest before. It didn't work at first, but then the creature he'd accidentally attached himself to rose and shook enough so that he was flung free. "Beeeeez!" Flung off sideways, he spewed a shimmering pick cloud of a Sweet Scent while attempting to right himself. Once done, he spun himself and found the great pink and yellow 'not a flower' staring at him. The strange voice coming from her hand was the last straw, and with an extremely alarmed buzz, he fled the scene back to the thicker air, not even realizing she was doing the same. He'd find his future Queen's honey elsewhere.
WILD GLIGAR APPEARED! [/style] Gligar || Female || Immunity || Ground / Flying || Level 7 Poison Sting || Sand Attack High above the ground that the misunderstanding between Human and Pokemon had taken place, in the leafy top of a tree, Gligar played. Her stomach full, she was now rushing home, taking the long, far more entertaining route. Scampering to the end of one branch, she leapt with a squeak of joy, and after throwing her claws out, glided to the end of another twenty feet away in another tree. The second she touched down, she twisted and prepared to hop down at an angle, skipping several branches for a more thrilling fall... but found herself unwilling to move as the wind kindly sent a sweet smelling, glittering cloud into her face.
The effect was immediate and Gligar's body slumped as she lost all power to move. She just wanted to breathe it in. "Glyyyy," She hissed softly, eyes wide and tongue lolling past her teeth much further than usual. Her stomach rumbled warmly... she could have sworn she was full just a second ago. Now she had to find the source. The smell demanded it! She had to find it before the trail faded!
One more breath was taken, further clouding her mind with thoughts of food, and Gligar leapt from the branch, mind set. Not towards her earlier target, no, she leapt straight off into a steep, and at first, barely controlled fall. Then the wind caught her wings and assisted her into a circular, gliding fall... and she hunted.
Catching herself at the bottom of the clearing, where the scent was heaviest, Gligar alighted on a branch and with sharp, predatory eyes, glared around the forest for movement and color. There! There was something! Large and pale yellow, it made no attempt to hide itself, or at least a poor one. Salivating with the need to fill her stomach, she threw herself into an attack immediately.
"Glyyyyyy-gar!" Stinger ahead of her as she fell towards her prey, it glimmered white, seconds before releasing a narrow spray of poisoned needles. There would be no escape! She would eat!

Raine was only too happy to see the combee fly away. She didn't care for bug type pokemon very much. There was one she liked, but scyther didn't really look much like a bug, now did he? He was actually one on her list for her team, too. She watched him fly off, and then stepped back out into the clearing. Well, that wasn't so bad, now was it? What happened next, however, was.
She was hit by what felt like a ton of sharp needles, and she cried out in pain and surprise. She clutched her arm, where most of them had struck, and whirled around to see a purple pokemon. It had attacked her? But it wasn't that big, what did it want with her? She didn't have time to pause to ponder such a thing. She had been attacked, and the only thing to do was to fight back!
She concentrated, and then a dark aura appeared around her. She knew it would raise some of her moves' attacks by a couple of levels. Nasty Plot was a move she had planned to use for her first ever battle. Now she needed something surefire, to get a hit in!
"Swift!" she called out, and put her hands in front of her, one behind the other, as starry lights shot out of them toward the gilgar. She was pretty sure this was a ground type, wasn't it? Ground types were good against her type, but did it have any moves of that kind yet? What was that first move it had used? It had stung horribly! She took a deep breath. She had been attacked first, and she was going to catch this gligar, one way or the other! She didn't know what then, but she was determined to win her first battle!
She planted her feet, her mind racing along with her heart, which she could hear thudding wildly in her chest. She knew what she could do, she'd practiced! She had to keep her head. She didn't think electric moves would do much, and that was unfortunate. But she had a lot of normal type moves, and she would use those! Plus...there was that too. If she were faster she would be able to evade better. Whatever happened, she was going to keep her head about her, else this might turn out badly for her.

WILD GLIGAR APPEARED! [/style] Gligar || Female || Immunity || Ground / Flying || Level 7 Poison Sting || Sand Attack She'd known her prey was large, but not human large. Hidden from complete view as the human had been, and as distracted as Gligar had been by the sweet scent that compelled her to come and eat, it had been the last thing she'd expected. And now it was too late. Her well aimed Poison Sting attack was replied to with a quickness that surprised, and more alarmingly, with a fistful of cutting, glimmering, stars. Momentarily forgetting that the beautiful, spiked blue wings she cared for weren't actually made for flying, the female Gligar flapping furiously to alter her trajectory and avoid the attack.
Directly hit, those wings were torn and the collision with three of the stars flung her back through the air and sent her tumbling helplessly to the ground, screeching in pain and rage. Moments before impact, unable to get the wind beneath her for a safer glide down, she at least had hope that the Poison in her needles had taken hold in the human's body. It was enough to take down her usual meals, but this human wasn't usual!
"Glyyyy-" Cut off upon hard impact with the ground, her breath was pushed from her body for a moment, but a soberness came with what returned when her lungs finally began working again. She'd rushed into this battle without thinking... why? She didn't understand, and her thoughts chased each other around for several moments before she realized there was still a danger and she was still on the ground. And her wings were damaged!
The human was strange, and had strange abilities, being able to throw a Swift attack at her. But Gligar was a real Pokemon, and she now she was just too angry to run! Her beautiful wings weren't about to get her into the air again, but she didn't need them for this! Gathering her strength, she was back on her feet in a flash, but was unable to control a wince as she spun to face the human, tail whipping out behind her. "Glyyy-" Staring at the human, she dug her claws into the ground. "Gaaar!" The Sand Attack stirred the dry forest dirt into the air, creating a cloud that expanded towards the human as the half Ground type worked her claws. Once she tired, she flipped her body around and aimed her tail at the position she'd last seen the human, and another Poison Sting attack was flung through the cloud in the form of another dripping needle spray.

Raine cringed. She hadn't meant to damage the pokemon's wings, and even though it had attacked her first, she still felt sorry for it. This was a battle, though, and she didn't have time to feel sorry for her opponent. It was a good thing she decided that, because in the next instant the pokemon was kicking sand at her, and she knew what that meant. Only she had wasted the precious seconds, and even though she dashed to the side some of the sand cloud got in her eyes, her face. She coughed, unaware that in moving, she had missed the far worse, second attack. But she couldn't see from here! She rubbed her eyes, clearing out the sand, but the cloud was still there. Now what to do? She had to get around it. The pokemon couldn't fly, and it would not be near as fast on the ground!
Dashing quickly around the sand, she saw it. Even though the sand cloud made it harder to see, there it was. She needed an attack with wider range, so that it would hit...with that thought in mind, she decided the best idea was to try and keep the pokemon in one place, and throwing her arms wide, emitted a Thunder Wave, hoping that it would paralyze the gligar. That would make it easier to capture, in either case. She tried not to feel guilty as she made her next move. She could worry about healing up the pokemon after she had caught it! The pokeball would be a great place for it until then. She crackled and sparks of electricity could be seen around her, just before a Thunderbolt came shooting toward the pokemon on the ground. She was hoping that was all it would take, but she was ready for her next move, if not. She had to admire the pokemon. It was battling, with its wings all banged up like that. Hopefully, she could rectify that soon.

WILD GLIGAR APPEARED! [/style] Gligar || Female || Immunity || Ground / Flying || Level 7 Poison Sting || Sand Attack Sharp eyes flashed from side to side as Gligar attempted to pierce the roiling cloud of sand from her previous attack. She couldn't see where the human was... but there had been no outcry of pain or anger after her second spray of poisoned needles. Gligar feared that meant she'd missed... or, if luck was with her, perhaps the poison had affected her and already wore her down. Should she risk looking for herself or waiting for the sand cloud to clear?
"Glyyy..."
There! It seemed there was no need to wait for the sand to clear to go look for the human girl. The human had come to her! Before Gligar could even react, the human was using more of her strange power, and in the split second the bat-like Pokemon had to react, she didn't recognizing the attack as one that would have no effect. The Thunder Wave splashed against her hard outer shell without effect- well, other than the rapid eye movement needed to remoistureize her eyes.
"Gly-gly-gly-gaaaaar!" She laughed at the silly human and took the Thunderbolt as she had the would-be paralyzing wave. It tickled, and again forced her to close her eyes against the light, but that was the extent. Now it was her turn again, and she whipped her tail over her head with another POISON STING! At such close range, she didn't want to waste more time in getting more sand into the air, so as soon as her energy for the first spray had left her, she repositioned in case the human had moved and let loose once again. She was sure that her moves had hit! That had to have done it, right? Gligar was a flying type--but then it hit her, and her face fell. Ground and flying. Electric...
She watched as the moves connected, and did absolutely nothing. Then the creature was...laughing? Was it laughing at her? She didn't have time to think about it, because it was not laughing in the next instant. It was aiming another attack at her. She was sure she could dodge, though! She had time, right? Wrong again.
The first attack missed. The second, however, impacted right on her backside as she went to dive out of the way. It hurt, too. Fortunately for her, it only hurt. She had been lucky twice with not being poisoned by the attacks, and hoped her luck would last. She felt sick worrying about having to use a potion on herself, rather than the pokemon she caught, if that happened. Just being poisoned was nasty business. But now that she had her wits about her, she was getting serious. That gligar wouldn't be laughing at her soon!
She whirled around and rushed straight at it in a Quick Attack, hoping to slam it into the large boulder behind it. Then, without bothering to pause, she shot another Swift attack at it. At least that would for sure hit, even if the first hadn't. She wasn't to be laughed at! She could capture this pokemon, and she knew she could. The poison stings hurt, but she wasn't going to let them get her down. So far, luck was on her side. She hadn't been poisoned. She had to end this, and prepared her next move in her mind, even as she dove behind a large tree and peeked around it to see what had become of gligar after her attacks.
She couldn't afford to get poisoned before she even had one pokemon in the pokeball! That wouldn't do. She could use a potion, but she had planned to save them for her pokemon, not herself. Still, she'd do what she had to do. This gligar would be hers, come what may. She figured she could up her speed some, up her evasion...she could lower her opponents attacks or defense...planning was a huge part of this, she knew. And she had to plan quickly.

WILD GLIGAR APPEARED! [/style] Gligar || Female || Immunity || Ground / Flying || Level 7 Poison Sting || Sand Attack An angry hiss that began when the first spray of needles began, transformed abruptly into another amused laugh when the second Poison Sting attack drove into the human female's soft behind. "Glyyyyyyyy-gar!" It wasn't what Gligar had been aiming at, and she would felt bad, had the silly human not dove and thrown her paler bits into the spray's path. She might have fought with the power of a Pokemon, but not the instincts. Such as, don't turn your back on an incoming attack.
Still giggling, Gligar didn't expect the sudden recovery and spin of the human girl and was broadsided, flung through the air. She felt like she'd almost splattered like a Bug-type against the boulder she hadn't realized she'd become too close to. The girl hit hard, and Gligar had already been low on breath due to the hilarity. It wans't quite so funny right then. "G-glyyy," The half Ground type tried to pull in more breath so she could move herself out of the way of familiar glowing stars. Those hurt before! They'd cut her wings!
There was no need from another attack from the girl. Gligar was done, and the Pokemon could only watch the beautifully dangerous attack until the shimmering stars were suddenly pounding her. She'd underestimated the girl, or been tricked. Perhaps the whole thing was a trick, from the moment she'd been drawn in by that wonderfully sweet scent that had made her mouth water. Now it was too late.
Gligar's vision swam, and she weakly struggled on the ground to move before the human revealed herself again and attacked... "G-glyyygar..."
GLIGAR HAS FAINTED! GLIGAR IS AVALIABLE FOR CAPTURE!
OOC: I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who likes to torture my characters with things such as poison needles to the ass. XD If you want to continue, indicate such in your next post ICly, after you've thrown the Pokeball. I guess that's how it goes.

I am confident but I still have my moments BABY, THAT'S JUST ME [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Raine saw the gligar hit the ground, and crept slowly out from behind the tree. Was it maybe a trick? But no, it didn't look like one. The gligar didn't move. Had she...won? A sore backside was what it had earned her, but she had actually won her first battle? She removed a pokeball from her belt, and tentatively tossed it at the pokemon. It vanished in a stream of bright light, and she walked over and picked it up, placing it in her pokeball belt along with the others she carried there. She gingerly rubbed her backside, wincing a little. Yeah...unpleasant. But worth it! She had caught gligar! Only...what now? She supposed she could keep on looking.
She didn't really want to sit on a fallen over log just yet. It would have been promising before she had received poison stings to the rear end. But not now. Now the grass looked nice, but she figured she maybe ought to walk it off a little first. So she did just that, exploring the clearing curiously. It was a nice spot, and the mist was all but nonexistent here. It had made battling a lot easier when she could see properly. She didn't want to give up the spot just yet. If she ran into another pokemon, she would rather be here. The clearing was big, and there were trees and rocks and things to help with any further battling she might have to do. She couldn't rely on gligar just yet. It had been injured and she wanted to let it rest in the pokeball.
Her electric type moves had failed on it. That in itself had made the battle shakier than it ought to have been. She had foolishly forgotten that fact. She would try not to make that mistake again! She admired the tall trees and the patches of flowers around her. The forest was eerie in places but nice in others. Thirsty, she took one of her big water bottles from her pack and took a drink. Not too much--she didn't want it to all go too fast--but still it refreshed her. She sighed contentedly. Hopefully, she wouldn't have to deal with any more pokemon like combee. She didn't like bug pokemon much. What else, though, might be living here? She wasn't sure, but she really did want to find out.
The poison sting attack was starting to hurt less as she walked slowly about. She was prepared for another battle if it came to that. Still, it would have been nice if it didn't. Maybe there were some friendlier pokemon about? She could hope for that. The forest probably held many types, and who knew? Maybe she'd meet something surprising.
OOC: Haha, yeah, it's a lot of fun to torture my characters with embarrassing things like this. XD

WILD GLIGAR APPEARED! [/style] Gligar || Female || Immunity || Ground / Flying || Level 7 Poison Sting || Sand Attack Wiggle wiggle wiggle... wiggle wiggle... PING! GLIGAR IS CAPTURED!!!
WILD STUNKY APPEARED! [/style] Stunky || Female || Stench || Poison / Dark || Level 5 Scratch || Focus Energy || Poison GasWhy did the other forest inhabitants always have to flee from her? It hurt her feelings. Was it really as bad as the meaner ones said it was? Really? She didn't smell anything wrong with herself, and growing up with three other Stunky siblings, she thought that at least one of them would have told her if she really smelled that bad. They were all brothers. "Stunnn..."
Head hanging, whiskers drooping, the striped, dual-type Pokemon wandered morosely through the forest, looking for someone to talk to, maybe even someone who'd actually be willing to play with her. A faint haze of purple mist, the remnants of a previous Poison Gas attack, hung about her furry frame like a cloud of sadness. All she'd wanted to do before was play with the other Pokemon in their mock battles. The attack hadn't even been full strength. It couldn't have actually poisoned anyone! Still they ran from her. Technically it meant she won by default... but that wasn't how she wanted to win!
Stunky's head dropped lower and closer to the dirt as she trudged along, so she didn't even notice when she stepped out into the clear view of a human girl walking in her direction. It wouldn't be possible for the human to not notice her, with the stench that followed the Pokemon around. And the air was moving in just the right direction...

She smelled it before she saw it. Something that smelled familiar, yet she couldn't quite place it. All she knew was that it smelled Arceus awful! The smell was increasing, and she faced the direction she thought it was coming from. The culprit was soon visible: a Stunky.
Now, she didn't particularly care for the smell, but she instantly felt sorry for it. It looked dejected and rather sad. She wasn't sure why, but she instinctively blocked off her nose--without pinching it. What was wrong with it? She didn't really want to get closer. Yet she didn't want to just leave it there, looking sad. She had some poketreats. Maybe it would like one of those? That meant getting closer to it. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad once she got acclimated to it? She slowly removed a poketreat, and walked closer to the Stunky. It really had earned its name, the smell only got worse the closer she got.
She had heard that if you bathed them properly, the smell was not so bad. It was their attack that made them smell so badly. People kept them in houses and some people were very fond of them. This one might have let loose an attack. So, carefully, she knelt down and placed the poketreat in front of it.
She offered a small smile, trying not to inhale through her nose. If she caught it, maybe she could clean it up? The idea struck her as a nice one, but she didn't know what was even wrong with Stunky. Something, obviously. The Raichu gijinka could clearly see that. She had to inhale a bit to talk. But she could always block off her nose again after.
"Why so sad looking, Stunky?" She asked it. Now, she didn't expect an answer. Even if it could understand her she wouldn't understand it. But at the same time, it might understand, and maybe even if she didn't she could try and cheer it up. It really needed to get rid of that smell, though. It made it hard even to be anywhere near it. Hadn't she seen a Stunky once? There had been one that a friend of hers had when she was younger! That one hadn't smelled. It had a faint, musky odor, but it wasn't that bad. She had gotten used to it.

WILD STUNKY APPEARED! [/style] Stunky || Female || Stench || Poison / Dark || Level 5 Scratch || Focus Energy || Poison GasSo deeply caught up in her own sadness, Stunky's Pokemon senses and instincts failed to even remotely notice the human that fought through her invisible cloud of stench until a Poketreat was placed right in her path. She started, small fluffy body twitching in surprise for a moment. "Stuuun?" Her whiskers flicked and she turned her head so that the smiling human filled her vision, and could only blink in awe for a moment.
The girl wasn't running! Or shooing her away! She'd offered a treat, and was talking to her! It was an event unexpected enough to immediately perk the little smelly Pokemon up. Her sadly drooping ears flicked back up and her tail lifted from the dirt it had been dragging in and began to wave in the air, partly in hopes of dispersing the rest of the smell her previous play-attack had summoned. "Stun! Stun stunnnn-ky!" The mostly purple Pokemon squeaked up at the knelt human's face, and bounced slightly. The treat, as wonderful as it was, was forgotten for the moment in Stunky's happiness at finding a being that didn't mind being around her.

I am confident but I still have my moments BABY, THAT'S JUST ME [atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,450,true]
Well, Raine couldn't understand what the stunky was saying. But she'd have to be an idiot--which she did not consider herself as--to not notice it seemed instantly happier just to see her. She didn't know why, but she was okay with it. The pokemon lifted its tail, ears perking up, and it actually bounced up and down. She didn't know what it was so excited about, but it was cute! Needed a bath, but cute.
It shook its tail, and she caught another wave of smell. She didn't want to hurt the stunky's feelings though, since it seemed so happy to see her. So she did nothing other than close up her nose, keeping her hands down as much as she wanted to plug it to better keep the smell away. Speaking of away, however, it was fading bit by bit. That was for the best, because it was rather unpleasant. She wondered, though, if it was something you got used to. People said that furret had a musky sort of smell to it, but that you didn't notice it after a while--especially if you owned one. Maybe stunky was the same.
She took a moment to admire its purple and white fur. It was a really stunning pokemon, and she looked into the bright eyed and bushy tailed pokemon's face. Cute indeed! She couldn't help a bright smile, and she very much wanted to pet it, to see if it was as soft as it looked, so ventured out a hand to stroke its head.
"Not upset anymore, little stunky? Why were you so sad to begin with though, I wonder?" Maybe it didn't like the fog, and coming out of it had been a good thing? Or maybe it was lonely! If it had been happy to see her, that might have been it. Well, that was too sad, and she pondered that a moment. No one should have to be lonely. Especially not a friendly little pokemon! She had gligar with her, but only because it had attacked her, and she had not thought to just let it lie there beaten with its wings all hurt. So she'd caught it. Maybe she could bring stunky along too? She didn't really want to have to fight with it, but if it was lonely maybe it would want to come along. She didn't really have a team yet, or any idea of which ones she'd come across. She didn't mind working with the pokemon she chanced across so long as they weren't a type she definitely couldn't picture herself with. Like every trainer, she had an idea, vaguely, of which she liked. Stunky was far cuter than gligar for a pokemon. And this one especially!
"You're a pretty pokemon," she told it. It was actually very nice to look at. Some pokemon were frightening, or tough looking. Not so with stunky. It was definitely one of the nicer ones to look at. She'd seen a stuntank once, and those were awesome too. The fur on them especially! So shiny and such a color! "You have nice fur, you know that?" She told it brightly, smiling still. Sometimes, coming across pokemon like this made her day.
