Lydian sighed, his jaw clenched as his ruby eyes slipped closed. Erik hadn't meant to wander off on him, and he was all right, even though Lydian's instincts niggled at him that had he arrived a few moments later, that might have been a different story. The muscle in his jaw visably stood out from the tension before it eased back. "Please," he requested softly, the word a little sore from the lack of use but nonetheless betraying a hint of the concern and panic that had burned inside the Houndoom Gijinka when Erik had disappeared from his range of sight. At the mention of his own habits, however, he chuckled darkly. "I think me burning people and getting caught is the least of your worries," he stated, eyes twinkling in sadistic delight before he leaned down to brush a kiss over Erik's brow. "But if it will ease your conscience, I will promise to rein in my temper a little if you promise to stay closer to my side, okay?" Behind them, Delphi, sensing the calm that Erik almost seemed to radiate into Lydian, sat down, settling in to watch the two of them interact, almost as if she was judging if she would approve of their relationship or not. "Sorry. You might need to get a leash on me." he teased a little, squeezing the Houndoom gijinka tight for a second before backing up a little as he spoke.
Raising a brow, the guy rolled his single sapphire eye, and then hummed happily at the brush of lips over his forehead, nodding happily at Lydian's slight giving in. "Much better. I don't care about you frying people, but I'd much rather people don't suspect you of being an illegal thank you." Erik replied, saucily looking at Lydian from where he still clung around to his waist, before standing on his toes to try and peck his lips on Lydian's.
Moving his arms to cling to Lydian's neck instead, Erik buried his head against Lydian's chest again, nuzzling it and more or less turning it in to his faovirte past time now. How could he help himself? Lydian's warmth was addictive to him, his scent even more so. Erik wanted to absorb every ounce of the other guy in to him and never let go, and to be honest this need to constantly be around Lydian now was turning scary, almost needy. But Erik didn't mind. All was fine as long as Lydian was around.

Gentle arms wrapping around his waist did a great deal to erase the remaining tension from Lydian's body, and he let out a low growl at the nuzzle into his chest, responding to it with a gentle nuzzle of his own into the boy's soft hair. "It's all right, you're safe now, I'm here," he murmured softly, pressing a light kiss to the top of the boy's hair before chuckling wryly. "And besides, I'm the Houndoom here. You should be putting me on a leash, not the other way around." A large part of Lydian rebelled against the idea of having a collar tight around his neck, though not as much as he might have thought would have to the idea. A good bit of himself actually liked the notion of handing over so much of his control to Erik, confident that the Sableye Gijinka would hold the leash gently but firmly in his small hands. "Let them guess," he scoffed, bristling. "So long as they don't catch me, they can think what they like." Still, he leaned down to gently connect his lips to Erik's before the boy disconnected to bury himself in Lydian's chest again. Chuckling, the Houndoom Gijinka brought his hands down, lifting Erik up into his arms. "Have you gotten everything we came for, Erik?" he asked softly, leaning his forehead down against the smaller male's, "or do I have to carry you back to finish up the shopping?" OOC: If you don't want Erik being picked up, just let me know and I'll put him down! Youjustweren'tontoask DX Team-

It was... quite interesting to say the least, since Erik doubted Lydian would stay on a leash for any period of time, but at the same time he wasn't at all inclined to put Lydian on a leash. It went against everything Erik believed in. He didn't abuse the trust Lydian had in him, and he wasn't about to start now.
His lips turning downwards when Lydian scoffed at his worry, Erik pouted even as he responded to the kiss, not liking the flippant way Lydian disregarded his safety. If he wasn't too concerned about getting caught, Erik was! He didn't like the idea of being separated from Lydian at all. But he knew Lydian would just argue endlessly, so instead Erik kept silent, but made a promise to himself that if he had to, he'd prevent the other's capture even at his own risk.
Squeaking a little in surprise when Lydian suddenly picked him up again, Erik chuckled and hooked his arms around Lydian's neck naturally, loving it whenver Lydian picked him up. It made him feel so protected and cherished, that Erik never argued whenever he was picked up. Giving a thoughtful look for a minute, Erik finally nodded. "I should be just about done." he murmured, and then peeked down at his backpack with al the items, which had somehow fallen to the ground. "Besides, it would look deuced awkward and weird for me to shop while you carry me, don't you think?" he teased, grinning before he twisted a little, trying to reach for the backpack.

Lydian let out one of his usual soft contented growls at Erik's arms wrapping around his neck. He liked it when Erik was up in his arms; it meant that anyone who messed with Erik messed with him and he had a legitimate excuse - in his mind anyway - to react violently to any threats to them. Not that he wouldn't do it anyway, Erik was his to protect, but still. The point was there... somewhere. Somewhere lost in the feeling of this pair of gentle arms wrapped around him and slender body pressed against his own. That growl still rumbling out of his chest like milked honey, he tilted his head to nuzzle Erik's silky soft hair again. He loved Erik's hair, how beautifully sleek it was, and his scent was such a pleasing aroma that it was beyond words. It calmed and excited his instincts all at once. He then smiled softly, the expression being only a slight tug at the corners of his lips, and pressed a kiss to Erik's head. "Home then?" he asked, and then chuckled at the sentence following. "It wouldn't be awkward. It would be sweet for a me to carry my smaller companion after he got a little tired and to keep him safe from being attacked by the crowds." He saw the Sableye Gijinka reach for the backpack and bent to help him, but before they could reach it, Delphi was there to pick it up in her mouth, eyes twinkling with soft amusement. OOC: ... "Got everything we needed anyway." he murmured, although Erik had to admit he already was missing the place he had recently taken residence in. While he's stayed on the edges of Aether for a long while now, almost all of his sixteen years, Erik's never felt much affection for it, not as long as his mother was not there anyway.
But it was surprising how he's only been with Lydian for a little over a week, and he's already missing the small little dilapated place Lydian (and now Erik) calls home. "You're not going to carry me all the way home are you?" he asked in surprise, as he gave a lookover their position, and then blinked in curiosity at Lydian.

Delphi nodded in thanks at the pet, the young Absol trotting back in the direction of home before turning to look at the two of them with glittering eyes, measuring how they would react. Lydian let out a gentle growl at the confirmation, turning his back on the market and beginning to carry the boy back to his - to their - home. Days where he visited the market always tested his patience and endurance, so it would be worth just going home and spending some time curled around Erik. The very thought of that, spending time curled around Erik, made his growl rumble out of his chest. He liked that idea. He liked it very much. "I might just carry you all the way home," he stated, a smirk tugging at one corner of his lips. "After all, it's not as if you're very heavy, and besides, feeling your heart beat so close to mine eases any discomfort that might possibly spring from it." Ruby eyes widening at the intimacy of what had just left his tongue, he looked away to glare at the snickering red-tinted Absol, trying in vain to will away the lightest dusting of pink across his high cheekbones. The way home was not short afterall, but Erik wasn't going to argue with his stubborn-as-mule partner, and just softly hummed in gentle agreement, but all ready to jump down whenever he felt that Lydian's steps were turning sluggish. Chuckling again when he noticed the blush that dusted across his cheekbones after his last words, Erik reached up and pecked a kiss on his cheeks.
"What discomfort? I'll kiss them away." Erik teased with a cheeky grin, shifting so he was closer to Lydian before reaching up to press another kiss on Lydian's jawbone, and then wriggled to get down. Once his feet touched the ground, the guy motioned at Delphi to come closer, and made a move to take the backpack from her, fishing in it to pull out one of his pokeballs.
"But we don't need to walk all the way back. I also picked up something else when we came back here." he grinned cheekily, and tossed the device in the air, yet at the same time crossing his fingers. When the loud screech signalled the release of his volatile Skarmory, Erik flinched as the steel wings of his most fierce pokemon cut the air, causing strong gusts of wind.
It was a long minute before Demi finally calmed down for Erik to peer through the swirling wind she had kicked up. Not that Erik didn't adore her, he did, and Demi in return wouldn't hurt him as long as she could help it... but Erik also knew his Skarmory could be a little blinded by her rage sometimes, and a scar on his upper thigh could attest to that. Ascertaining his Skarmory's mood before approaching her with an extended hand, Erik finally breathed a sigh of relief when Demi only ruffled a little and gave a sideways glance towards the humans as Erik laid a hand on her steely head. "Lydi, this is Demi. She can take us back home, and save us quite some time walking."

The gentle warmth of Erik's lips on his cheek made Lydian stop dead, his heart buoyed by the small show of affection. He tightened his arms around Erik when he moved to escape, leaning down to whisper huskily in his ear, a growl lurking beneath his words. "There is no discomfort. You could never be a discomfort." He leaned in to kiss Erik quickly on the lips before loosening his arms and setting the boy down on his own two feet. Delphi relinquished the bag at the Sableye Gijinka's request, settling down on her haunches to watch what would happen with a quiet gaze that said she was very much aware of what was going on around her. At the cry of a Skarmory, Lydian immediately reacted negatively. He snarled, fire shooting up on his arms in a warning, while his eyes narrowed to lesson the effect the snapping wind had on him. He did not like Skarmory. When he was young, very young, he'd been playing out in a barn once and a Skarmory had winged down and scratched him up badly. He didn't care if she had a nest there or not. He had only been a small child, he wouldn't have hurt the eggs! No, he did not like Skarmories. His instincts told him they were very dangerous, and he would do whatever he had to to protect Erik from this one. A low growl bundled in his throat as the Sableye Gijinka approached, and it turned into a snarl before he could call it back at the mention of a name. Delphi, however, was up on her paws at the sound, darting to his side and staring at him with her big eyes. He had to keep calm now, keep calm and not throw an attack at the Skarmory. For Erik's sake. OOC: Bad history with Skarmories FOR DRAMATIC EFFECT! *shot* Team-

This was why Erik usually left Demi at home, and preferred to take the mild-mannered albeit cranky Poseidon, the both of them being the strongest on Erik's team. Demi was volatile, angry and very fierce, and for a pssive person like Erik, his Skarmory's personality did not match his own at all. But Erik had rescued the steel type from being skulled for her metal feathers, and couldn't bring himself to let Demi go.
So Demi had remained, and she tries not to hurt Erik, although that fails more often then not whenver she gets way too angry to concentrate on anything. But for now, she was fine, if not a little flighty. When the flames shot up, Erik had to shy away when Demi screeched loudly and reared up with her wings to get away from the fire, hating the type weakness she had. The dangerous glint in her eye had Erik loudly calling the Skarmory's name to calm her down, and frowning at Lydian when he snarled at his Skarmory. This wasn't turning out good was it.
Biting his lip as he murmured soothingly, carefully approaching his cautious Pokemon, Erik gently stroked Demi's long beak again, casting a gaze back and breathing when he saw Delphi in front of Lydian. "Lydi, calm down." he tried, his voice a little strained so he wouldn't disturb his Skarmory. Biting his lip, the guy gave a thoughtful look at the ruffled Demi, and then back at Lydi. "Or would you prefer to walk? Its the same to me." he finally mildly suggested, leaving the decision to the other. Eevee eggs x2 : 10/10 [/style] |

Lydian's whole body was shaking. Shaking with rage or shaking from the effort to control that anger, that he couldn't determine. All he knew was that his body was trembling. He looked down to stare at Delphi for a long time, using the young Absol to settle himself before he lifted his gaze again, panting hard. "Skarmory aren't exactly a... pleasant memory for me," he stated in a growl, the fire still flaring on his arms before Delphi huffed and nudged his chest with her crest. Realizing he was likely startling Erik with the purple fire, he closed his eyes and concentrated hard, trying to bring the fire back into his skin merely through a huge effort of will. Erik was close to the Skarmory. Throwing a Flamethrower would hurt the Sableye Gijinka too. The Skarmory panicking could hurt Erik. He needed to calm down and do it quickly. Unfortunately for him, his instincts didn't really work that way, so while his fire was banked back, it still simmered low on his arms, ready to flare up at a moment's notice should he sense Erik being in any danger. "Walking would be better," he ground out, trying to concentrate of Delphi's crest pressing into his chest rather than the clicking of steel wings. He couldn't afford to lose his temper, not now... Biting his lip thoughtfully as Lydian gave a short explanation for his reaction to Erik's skarmory, the guy stroked her beak again when the steel type chirped, and sighed as he recalled her back in to her Pokeball. Turning back to watch the fire on Lydian's arms cautiously, the guy flicked a stray strand of dark hair out of his eyes as he walked closer.
"Alright, we'll walk." Erik agreed readily, extending a hand at Lydian and offering another cautios smile. He knew Lydian could be volatile, as volatile as Demi was sometimes. It amused the young gijinka a little actually, how similar they were in personality, and yet the two of them seemed ready to go at each other's throats. Then again, Erik supposed if you put two of Lydian in one room, they would just burn each other up.
Taking the guy by the hand, he twined his fingers with Lydian and resumed their earlier path at a leisurely pace, nudging the other a little after a while. "So why the reaction to Skarmories?" Eevee eggs x2 : 10/10 [/style] |

When the Skarmory was back in a Pokeball, Lydian relaxed, his muscles uncoiling and the growl tapering off to a rougher version of the usual sound in Erik's presense, his wary growl instead of his contented one. His fire was calmer now, pulled back from his hands even if it still clung to his arms, hunkering down close to his skin. He was still uneasy, though the fire was content to sink back into his skin when he reached forward and took the boy's hand. He was content to clasp Erik's hand and follow him as they began walking back towards their home, though he blinked at the question before sighing. "When I was really young, I wandered off to go play. I ended up playing in a barn, and well... there was a Skarmory up there. When it saw me, it immediately came down and attacked me, and I got pretty badly hurt before my sister found me and took me home. We later figured out the Skarmory had a nest, but I... I wouldn't have gone after her babies. I was too young..." He let the thought trail off, taking pleasure in the solid feeling of Erik's hand in his own. The past was the past, and best left that way. Granted though, Erik knew that Demi would never intentionally hurt him, so he didn't really see the danger the steel type bird presented. Chuckling slightly, he leaned against Lydian's shoulder as they walk, hitching his backpack higher up on his shoulder. "So I see that tendency to get in to trouble of yours was something you were born with." he teased gently, grinning up at Lydian as they walked.
Looking around to make sure Delphi was coming along, Erik eventually leaned in closer to Lydian as they walked in relatively peace for awhile, the sounds of busy Aether dying back as they approached the Canopy, one of the many places they had to pass by before they got back to the Abandoned Sector where their house was.
Shivering as they entered the dangerous slums, Erik instinctively pressed as close as he could to Lydian, his spine shivering at the dark and danky surroundings of the Canopy. At the very least the Abandoned Sector was bright, if a little, well, abandoned. The dark and creepy surroundings of the slums just gave Erik the shivers, and he always avoided passing the place if he could. It was the fastest way to get back though, and with the day beginning to get a little late, Erik would like to fall on bed before the skies turned dark at least. Eevee eggs x2 : 10/10 [/style] |

Lydian growled softly as Erik tucked himself closer, glaring without much anger or force in his crimson eyes. "I wasn't born with the tendency to get into trouble," he protested softly, sulking a little. "My twin and I both were." Still, he didn't see much point in remaining angry, especially with Erik's scent wafting up to him reassuringly, so he allowed himself to calm, tucking the smaller boy up into his side with a gentle arm. The Canopy was a quieter area, one that eased the tension from his body and soothed his muscles. Pokemon he understood and could properly react to. Humans though... humans confused him. They were threats to his way of life... but not Erik. Erik was sweet and gentle and Lydian's heart just stopped in his chest at the thought of being away from him. He wasn't going to let Erik go anywhere if he had anything to say about it. When he felt Erik press into him more, a shiver snaking down the smaller male's spine, he let out a soft growl. "Calm down, Erik. I'm here. Nothing will attack us so long as you stay close to me, and if something dares, I'll hurt it before it can get to you." Having said the words he felt would reassure he boy, he leaned down and nuzzled his hair softly before giving him a confident smirk and continuing on.
