Magnus was so damn clingy, latching on like his life depended on it. The whole thing was all in his head, as far as Ludwig was concerned. No one had ever died from a little bit of cold, even if they did have snake DNA. Magnus was just using it as an excuse, wasn't he?
The urge to wrench the snake off him rose, and Ludwig shoved it away. Anything he did would just make Magnus squeeze harder, and he'd popped his shoulder blade out more then once having to deal with that squeezing. It wasn't fun, and it just ended up leaving him in pain the following morning. "You don't need it either, idiot." He snapped back.

Watch the end from dying eyes Now the dark is taking over Usually, getting mad and practically ripping each other to pieces was the call of the day... but Magnus was barely listening as he cuddled up to his partner. Maybe it was all in his head and maybe he didn’t need it as he said he did, but it was comfortable to have a source of warmth around. Heck, get him a heating lamp and a pillow and he’d also be fine. Bodies were much better though. So, ignoring practically everything Ludwig was saying, Magnus reached up and began to pet the white and red ears. Yep; they were definitely nice and soft, almost velvety. He could also feel the faint indent where he’d bitten his ear a few weeks ago, the cartilage slow to heal. He was practically asleep on top of him already, but he figured that would help Ludwig relax a bit. Show me where forever dies Take the fall and run to heaven

As much as Ludwig was overly defensive of them, they were sensitive. So sensitive. Like a cat being rubbed, Ludwig squirmed, stretching out as Magnus rubbed at his ears. Even if he had wanted to kick the bastard off, he doubted he could. Anyone rubbing his ears was enough to stop almost all attacks, and all he could do was stretch out, half-nuzzling against Magnus.
"Cheater. Cheating bastard." He mumbled, voice halfway to a purr as his eyes sagged. He just wanted to sleep, now. He'd been angry, a tiny bit, annoyed at Epispect for letting their prey get away, but now he was right back to sleepy.
